Slimline Retro Birthday Shaker

Good morning Pretty Pink Posh friends! Heather here today with a fun slimline shaker card using some of the newest Pretty Pink Posh release – including a Clay Confetti Wheel that is exclusive to the Pretty Pink Posh site!

Pretty Pink Posh: Slimline Retro Birthday Shaker

Here is a video for this card, so you can see how it all came together:

I used several of the layers of Slimline: Peekaboo Window Dies – and I love how perfectly the fun square images from Party Days stamp set fit inside those windows! I used all 3 images in that stamp set, and then used the fun new Clay Confetti Wheel #1 to custom fill each section of my shaker with a different color of confetti, coloring up the images to coordinate with my color palette.

The sentiments were stamped on the outer layer of the shaker using Let’s Party stamp set – love how perfectly sized those sentiments were for that purpose. Finished off by mounting everything on a coordinating mint colored slimline cardbase sized 3 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – love how perfectly that largest rectangle mats onto that size of card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today – have an absolutely wonderful day!

Valentine Penguins

Hello friends, Elaine here today and I am sharing a Valentine’s inspired card using the new All My Love and older Penguin Pals stamp sets to create a super cute card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Penguins

I started by stamping out my images on to copic friendly card stock and coloured all the images with some of my favourite pink and red colour combinations:

·         Reds – R59, R39, R46

·         Pink – R85, R83, R81

·         Grey – W3, W1, W00

·         Colourless blender

I cut the penguins out with the coordinating dies.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Penguins

For the front of the card, I took a pale pink piece of card stock used Layered Hearts stencil with Distress Ink in Worn Lipstick to blend on some soft layered hearts.  I cut the ink blended panel down to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8”.  To cut out the heart shape in the middle of the panel I used the All My Love coordinating die.  The heart image was placed behind the window and secured with some liquid adhesive and a little washi tape for extra security.  I secured the whole panel to a white A2 side folding card base with more liquid adhesive.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Penguins

I applied some foam tape to the back of the penguins and the flower and secured them to the base of the heart.  I white heat embossed the You’re My Favorite sentiment from the All My Love stamp set on to some red card stock and trimmed into a thin strip, adhering directly to the card with liquid adhesive.  To add some extra interest to the card I die cut some hearts from white cardstock using the strip of hearts die in the Heart Vines cover plate die and applied them to the card popping some glossy accents on top.  Some of the new clay hearts would also be perfect for some cute dimensional embellishment!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope this card gives you some Valentine’s inspiration!

Valentine Theme Week- Day 7

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 7

Hi crafty friends! It’s Mona here, today I am sharing these cute and elegant cards featuring the beautiful Valentine Circles, All My Love and Valentine Hearts stamp sets. The star of this project is the amazing Heart Vines cover plate.

Hurry, today is the LAST day to save 15% on all Valentine items!

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 7

I really love the versatility of this beautiful Valentine Circles stamp set. First of all, the coordinating dies for this set are amazing. You have a circle shape to die-cut the image as well as this cute scalloped one. It’s really versatile and not only with the circle stamps. I love it, it’s perfect for creating circle tags too. If you are like me and you like to decorate your envelopes, then don’t forget to use this set on them, it will make them super cute! But what I like the most about this set, is that you can fussy cut the image, and you get a totally unique look from one stamp set

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 7

Watch my video tutorial below to learn how I created these cute, but also elegant cards including the coloring with alcohol markers.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I started the cardmaking with stamping the images with alcohol marker friendly black inkpad. When it was done, I made a quick heat set for my images and I continued the coloring process.

For the coloring I have used the following colors from Spectrum Noir Illustrators:

Monkeys: EB7, EB4, EB1, TN2, TN1, FS7, FS6.

Cheeks: FS8, FS6.

Envelopes, chocolate box, ears: PP5, PP4, PP3, PP1, FS8, FS6, Blender.

When the coloring was done, I continued with fussy cutting and die-cutting all the colored images. I have also created one soft pink and one gold glittery die-cut with the beautiful Heart Vines cover plate.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 7

Before I have adhered the die-cuts and the images to its right place, I heat embossed the Love sentiment from the Valentine Hearts stamp set. Once to a pink cardstock, once to a gold glitter cardstock, which I run through my die-cut machine with its coordinating dies. Then I adhered all the parts together with liquid adhesive and 3d foam squares.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 7

In the end I embellished my card with glittery heart die-cuts from the Heart Vines die set, and for the other one I adhered Sparkling Clear sequins as well as soft pink rhinestones from the newly released Sweetheart Rhinestones.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 7

These monkeys and envelopes are so adorable, they just make me smile, and the cover plate is currently one of my favorites!

Thank you so much for stopping by, see you next time.

Hugs, Mona

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 6

I used a combination of stamp sets and dies to create my card, some new sets and some from previous releases. I love how the sets coordinate so well together. I started by cutting the background with the Heart Vines Die from white cardstock. This beautiful die is perfect for Valentine’s Day but I am planning to also use the die to create weddings and anniversaries cards!

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 6

The center heart is stamped with one of the hearts in the All My Love Stamp Set and die cut with the All My Love Coordinating Dies. I stamped in Versamark Ink and then embossed with white embossing powder. Then I blended a red ink over the white embossing. I used a combination of two stamp sets and dies to create the embellishments around the heart, the Valentine Hearts Stamp Set and Dies, and the Love Stamp Set and Dies

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 6

The stamped images are colored with Copic Markers. The Love sentiment is part of the Valentine Hearts Stamp Set and the bottom sentiment is included in the Love Stamp Set and die cut with the Simple Strips Dies

My final touch is a little sparkle with the Pink Blush Jewels

Valentine Theme Week- Day 5

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 5

Hello, Gemma here today to share a card for Valentines, using some of the new January release.

Save 15% off items in the Valentine section during our Valentine Theme Week!

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 5

I began with my background. On a piece of white card, I inked the edges with spun sugar, picked raspberry and abandoned coral distress oxide inks. I kept the centre free of colour to give a bright highlight area. I used my heat tool to dry the ink.

Next, I positioned the new Lattice stencil over the panel and inked through it with a clear embossing ink. I then heat embossed the stencil pattern with WOW White Pearl embossing powder. This powder looks different on the inked areas compared to the white card in the centre.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 5

From the centre of the panel, I die cut the smaller of the heart dies from the All My Love coordinating die set. I also created a heart frame from white card, using both of the coordinating dies.

On a piece of heat resistant acetate, I stamped the heart image from the All My Love stamp set with clear embossing ink. I heat embossed the pattern with a superfine white embossing powder. I layered the acetate behind the embossed panel to show through the heart window opening.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 5

On the reverse of the panel, I added a layer of foam tape. I had originally planned to create a shaker card, but decided instead to adhere some jewels in place behind the acetate window. This gives a look of sparkle behind the embossed patterned heart and they all stay in place.

Before adhering the jewels, I added a gel printed background to my card base. This was created using picked raspberry and spun sugar distress oxide inks. I then adhered jewels in different sizes to show through the window, using the Valentine jewel mix. I adhered the front panel onto my card base. The jewels look so pretty as they catch the light through the acetate window. It’s tricky to capture in the photos but is so pretty in real life.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 5

For the sentiment, I embossed the large ‘Love’ stamp from the Valentine Hearts stamp set on pink card with white embossing powder. I love when word dies have coordinating dies as offers more possibilities for colours, both with the stamped word and the edge around it.

I added some blank die cuts behind the word for dimension, then adhered it on the card. I love the look of this sentiment and how it looks like handwriting on a card. It would be easy to add a smaller sentiment underneath this large word, depending on the recipient.

I finished by adding a few pink hearts from the Pink Hearts clay confetti above the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting! I hope we have given you some ideas for your Valentines! Stop back by tomorrow for more inspiration.

Valentine Theme Week- Day 4

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 4

Hello everyone, Elaine here today on the Pretty Pink Posh blog to share a card for Valentine’s theme week.  For my project I created a collection of cards using both older and newer Pretty Pink Posh products.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

To start with I cut 4 different shades of pink and red card stock down to 5 ½” x 2 ¾“ pieces.  Using my stamp positioner, I stamped the LOVE stamp from the ‘Love’ stamp set on to each of the coloured card panels with Versamark Ink, not forgetting to treat each piece with an antistatic powder tool before inking.  I coated each of the panels with white embossing powder and heat set until glossy.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 4

To cut out the LOVE embossed letters I used the LOVE coordinating die.  Setting the die cut letters aside, I started creating the background of the cards using white card stock cut to 4 ½” x 4 ½” (the finished cards are 5” x 5”).  Using stencil ‘A’ from the ‘Layered Hearts’ stencil set I slowly ink blended on Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  Through stencil ‘B’ from the stencil set I blended on Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.  To add some extra interest to the panel I flicked on some ink splatters using a small paint brush and watered-down Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.  I set aside to dry.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 4

Small strips of foam tape were applied to the back of the letters and secured to the heart stencilled panels.  I used one letter of each of the cardstock colours.

For the sentiment running through the centre of the card I white heat embossed ‘Hugs & Kisses’ multiple times from the new ‘All My Love’ stamp set on to black card stock and trimmed each one into a small strip.  More thin strips of foam tape were added to the back of each strip and secured to the card.  The whole card panel was adhered to a white 5” x 5” card base.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 4

For some extra sparkle I used the Valentine Jewel Mix to adhere a few jewels in various sizes with tiny dots of liquid adhesive.

Thank you for joining me here today, I hope this collection of cards gives you some inspiration for your own creations.

Big Valentine’s hugs, Elaine

Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

Hello, friends! It’s Lindsey and I’m happy to be joining Valentine Theme Week with a project that makes me smile. All products in the Valentine’s Day category is 15% off this week!

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

Valentine’s Day is a pretty exciting time of year when you have little kids around, but I can distinctly remember some sad Valentine’s Days. After one of those in college, I made the decision to make it a day where I help others feel loved.  It’s been a goal of mine ever since, and now that I have children I love including them in that goal. Every year we talk and come up with a list of people who we think could use some extra love. Then we set to work creating notes, cards, and sometimes treats.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

My littlest loves lollipops (probably because Grandma sneaks them to her), so she is going to show love by giving something she loves. Pretty Pink Posh had the perfect supplies to dress them up!  We used All My Love and the coordinating dies to mass produce a giant pile of hearts in pink, raspberry, red, aqua, and turquoise – a color combo I come back to again and again this time of year. Then I heat embossed the heart from All My Love on all of the smaller heart die cuts.  After layering the hearts together, we had a big pile to attach to some lollipops.  The lollipops were flat, which made them easy to stick onto the back of the hearts with a tape runner. I folded the packaging in a bit before adding the adhesive, so you wouldn’t see it poke out the sides.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

We added a little flag, using the Stitched Labels 1 dies. The tiny heart on the flag comes from the Heart Vines dies and the sentiment is from All My Love. We’ll write her name on the back. To adhere, I simply put glue tape on the back side of the rounded edge of the flag and wrapped it around the stick.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

I also wanted to show you how you could use the same supplies to make a card.  I created a slimline card and added a white double frame using the Slimline: Scallop Frames Dies

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

I ran both dies together at the same time, so the inner frame is actually the negative space between the two dies. I used three of the layered hearts for the focal point and added one of the other sentiments in All My Love.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 3

Thanks so much for joining me today!  Don’t forget that everything in the Valentine’s Day category is 15% off this week, so pick up some of your favorites and go spread some love.

Valentine Theme Week- Day 2

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 2

Hello crafty friends, it’s Yoonsun here to share a Valentine’s Day card with the Heart Vines die along with other love-themed products. The Heart Vines die has been loved by many crafty people already- it sold out but thankfully, is now back in stock.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 2

I started by die cutting the Heart Vines from thick white cardstock. I die cut tiny hearts from red cardstock as well.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 2

I made a heart background for the centre of the card using the Layered Hearts Stencils and Tattered Rose & Festive Berries Distress inks.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 2

For the “Lovely” sentiment, I die cut it from metallic gold cardstock, and another sentiment, I heat embossed it from the Large Floral Hearts set in white.

I mounted all elements as shown in the picture on beige card base. I then decorated the card with red tiny heart die cuts & Sweetheart Rhinestones.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 2

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow for a new day of Valentine inspiration!

Hugs,
Yoonsun

Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

Hi friends, Tammy here! I’m so excited to be kicking off Valentine Theme Week with Pretty Pink Posh! Today I’m sharing this fun slimline shaker card, mixing together some of the newest release with some previous ones – I just love how all the products work so well together!!

Save 15% off items in the Valentine section during our Valentine Theme Week!

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

To begin, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock using the largest die from the Slimline: Peekaboo Windows Dies, and ink blended it with Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I splattered some watered down Peacock Feathers onto my background for interest and set aside to dry.

Next, I did some paper piecing using the Valentine Hearts Stamp Set. First, I stamped the large scalloped hearts onto white cardstock and die cut them with the Valentine Hearts Coordinating Dies. I then stamped it again onto some patterned paper, fussy cut the hearts, and glued it to the die cut scalloped hearts. The other patterned hearts were simply die cut using the coordinating dies.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

I stamped the darling cupids from the Cupid Friends Stamp Set, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Coordinating Dies. Next, I stamped the word “Love”, from the Valentine Hearts Stamp Set, onto white cardstock with Red ink, then I white heat embossed the sentiment from All My Love onto a black strip of cardstock.

Pretty Pink Posh: Valentine Theme Week- Day 1

Next, I created a white frame border using the Slimline Dies. I then cut a piece of acetate to fit the opening and attached to the backside of the frame. Lastly, I sprinkled some 4mm Sweetheart Sequins Mix onto my card base, then lined the rectangle with Double Sided Foam Sticky Strips, and attached to the front of my card, making sure it is tightly sealed to complete my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are inspired to start creating some Valentine’s cards! Join us tomorrow for another day of brand new Valentine inspiration!

Big Hugs, Tammy

A New Series by Gemma!

Pretty Pink Posh: A New Series by Gemma

If you missed Gemma’s series from last year- Create A Scene- CLICK HERE.

Hello, Gemma here and I’m excited to be sharing a card today for my new series here on the Pretty Pink Posh blog called Clean & Simple.

Pretty Pink Posh: A New Series by Gemma

I love creating clean and simple (CAS) cards. When I think of CAS, I think of white space and a focal image or area on a card. This style can be very minimal, with few layers and embellishments, but I also love to create mini scenes on my CAS cards. I’ll be sharing a variety of clean and simple looks in this series and I hope they will inspire you to try the CAS style too.

I’m using some new January release products on this card. I began by die cutting a slimline rectangle using the largest die in the Slimline: Peekaboo Windows set.

Pretty Pink Posh: A New Series by Gemma

I positioned the Peonies stencil over the top of the panel, masking it so I could blend ink through one of the flower images. I lightly blended spun sugar distress oxide first, then used a smaller blending tool to add some picked raspberry distress oxide ink for shadow areas, blending out with the spun sugar oxide ink again. For the leaves, I used pumice stone and hickory smoke distress oxides, but also added some shaded lilac oxide ink which adds a lovely purple hue to the leaves.

I repeated these steps, moving the stencil around, masking different flowers and leaves and inking through the stencil, creating a floral scene on the slimline panel.

Pretty Pink Posh: A New Series by Gemma

The ink blending alone own looks lovely and you could defiantly stop there, but I decided to add some details with my colouring pencils. I picked light, medium and dark shades of pencils for both the flowers and leaves. I added details to emphasise the shadows, blending out to the lighter areas. You can use the pencils to define edges too.

I cut a panel of pearlescent card, which picks out the pink tones on my flowers. I layered this on my card base, then added the stencilled panel on top.

Pretty Pink Posh: A New Series by Gemma

Next, I die cut a scalloped frame from white card, using the new Slimline Scallop Frames set. I layered this on to the card to add some pretty detail but still keep the design clean and simple.

I stamped a small sentiment from the Simple Sentiments stamp set. Above this, I added a die cut Celebrate, using the same pearlescent card as the base. I stacked this with two white die cuts for dimension. To finish, I added a few of my favourite Pearl White jewels around the sentiment.

Pretty Pink Posh: A New Series by Gemma

I hope you enjoyed this first installment of the new series. If there is a specific product you’d like me to try to feature in the future, feel free to leave a comment below!
