Potted Lemon Tree
Hello, Gemma here today sharing how to create a potted lemon tree card using the new Fruit Tree die set.
I began by die cutting the pieces from the Fruit Tree die set – tree trunk, leaves and lemons.
Next, I looked for something to create a plant pot. There’s a die in the Birthday Mug Additions die set that is a good size, although I wanted it to be slightly narrower. I die cut it from white card, then shifted the die over and ran it through the machine again, to cut away a little from one side. I also trimmed it across the top to get a straight edge.
Around the edges of a mini slimline card base (3.5 x 6”), I blended stormy sky distress oxide ink. I added the same colour to the die cut plant pot.
On a white card panel, slightly smaller than my card base, I stamped a sentiment from the Citrus stamp set. I then adhered this panel to my card.
Next, I adhered the tree trunk and plant pot, followed by the leaves and the lemons. I added a couple of lemons next to the plant pot to finish.
Thanks so much for joining me today!
