Whimsical Holiday Cupcakes

Hello crafty friends, it’s Davina here. The beautiful October release from Pretty Pink Posh is available now and you will love it! This is the largest release ever, and full of so much good stuff to bring your winter and holiday projects to life. I created a tiered cupcake stand using the incredibly cute Christmas Cupcakes stamps and dies. I combined serial other new products and previously released items to being this fun card to life.

Whimsical Holiday Cupcakes

I started by using the pretty Pierced Snowflake Plate on Bristol Smooth Cardstock, and inkblending an ombré citrus green background. Once it was completely dry, I trimmed it down 1/4 inch, to  make room for a striped patterned paper background layer. I stamped the cute cupcakes and colored them in before cutting them out with the coordinating dies. I used the cake stand from last summers Fancy Cake Dies to pile on my cupcakes, then I added a bow from the new Holiday Mug Additions

Whimsical Holiday Cupcakes

I wanted to add some small stamped details and I found all of the images, and a sentiment, that I needed from one older stamp set. The Holiday Envelopes stamp set from last year had all of the great snowflakes, pine boughs, and the holly with berries images that I used. I stamped some of these in colored ink, including the sentiment, and added them to my treats. Finally, I adhered my images to the inky background, using foam tape behind the cupcake stand, and added my sentiment to a cute scalloped banner from the Sentiment Strips Dies

There are so many wonderful new products to play with and so much inspiration to see. Make sure you hop along with both the New Release Blog Hop and then the Instagram Hop, to see how magically the Design Team used the products and for your chance to win!

Merry Stocking Shaker

Hello friends! It’s Leica, and today I’ve got a delightful Christmas shaker card featuring the Stocking Shaker Die as the star of the show. This card is a breeze to recreate, so let’s dive right in!

Pretty Pink Posh: Merry Stocking Shaker

First things first, I took some pink cardstock and cut it into a large rectangle using the Eyelet Rectangles Dies. Then, I used the Stocking Shaker to cut out the center area of the stocking. I taped the edges of the stocking onto the pink card panel and added a piece of clear acetate to the back of the stocking shape. To create the shaker part, I attached foam tape to the back of the card panel and filled it up with the Christmas Tree Mix. For the back of the shaker stocking, I used a piece of red cardstock that I decorated with dots using the Mini Polka Dots stencil.

Pretty Pink Posh: Merry Stocking Shaker

For the sentiment, I cut out “Merry” in silver glitter foam and stamped “Christmas” in black ink on the top part of the stocking. Next, I cut out a cute Christmas tree from green cardstock, glued it onto the acetate of the shaker, and added some dots using Liquid Pearl in White Opal.

Pretty Pink Posh: Merry Stocking Shaker

I then cut a piece of patterned paper to fit an A2-sized card and elevated the eyelet rectangle on the card panel using foam. Finally, I glued the panel onto a standard A2-sized card base.

That’s the lowdown on my shaker card! Thanks a million for hanging out with me, and I hope you’re smitten with today’s card share. Have an absolutely wonderful day!

Festive Holiday Mug

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am excited to be back to share a holiday card that uses the new Holiday Mug Additions die set. I love that this set can be combined with the original Winter Mug dies to give you so many possibilities!

Festive Holiday Mug

I started my card by using the Layered Candy Canes stencil set (2 layers) to create my card panel. I ink blended white pigment ink and Distress Oxide ink in Candied Apple onto a pink cardstock panel to create my background.

Festive Holiday Mug

Next, I used the Winter Mug dies along with the Holiday Mug Additions dies to create my mug and accessories. I die cut the pieces from white cardstock and used finger dabblers to add ink to each of the individual pieces before assembling. I then used the Eyelet Rectangle die to die cut a vellum rectangle for the center of my card. I attached my mug and accessories to my panel with foam adhesive. For my sentiment I used the Sentiment Strips: Christmas stamp set along with the Sentiment Strips dies. Lastly, I added a few white paint splatters to my card to finish it off.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my card. I can’t wait to see what you create with these fun new products!!

Enjoy your day, Dana

Tree Cover Plate w/ Distress Mica Sprays

Hi, friends! It’s Lauren and I am back with a new video today making a Christmas shaker card! I love how easy shaker cards can be with the new Tree Cover Plate Die and we’re going to make one together today.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I am starting with some watercolor cardstock and adding different Distress products to create my own colorful paper. Using Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide, I ink squished the color on my glass mat and added water. I dabbed my paper into the ink and used my heat gun to dry the paper in between layers. Once I was happy with the lighter green, I also added some Lucky Clover Distress Oxide.

The green was looking so pretty, but I wanted to tie in some pink to match the Christmas Tree Mix, so I sprayed on some Distress Mica Spray in Sugary Gumdrop. Once the watercolor cardstock is dry, I used the Tree Cover Plate Die to cut out my panel for the front of my shaker.

You can watch the video below to see each step of the shaker assembly, but I layered the Tree Cover Plate with acetate, foam adhesive and a white and gray speckled background paper. This panel will be attached to an A2 card base.

For my sentiment on the card, I am mixing dies and stamps – I used the Merry Script to die cut out of a dark and light pink cardstock and glued them together to create a drop shadow look. I also stamped a sentiment from the Sentiment Strips: Christmas Stamp Set in green on die cuts from the Sentiment Strips Dies. I layered the stamped sentiment on white with yellow and pink cardstock.

Since my card already has plenty of dimension being a shaker card, I adhered my die cut and stamped sentiments to the card with liquid adhesive.

I hope you like this interactive Christmas card inspired by the colors of the Christmas Tree Mix and that you have lots of fun making cute Christmas cards with this latest release!

Hello friends! It’s Leica, and I’m excited to share a holiday card featuring the fantastic Love From Afar Dies. This set is absolutely stunning, and I’ve got to say, my favorites are the banner and the word dies that fit perfectly inside it.

To get started, I cut an A2-sized piece of white cardstock and gave it some color with Distress Oxide Inks in Chipped Sapphire and Faded Jeans. To add a little extra flair, I splashed some gold and white ink on there for a touch of pizzazz.

Next, I used the Love From Afar dies to cut out the various elements. I added a strip of gold cardstock and tied a bow to make the globe look like an ornament. Then, I placed a pink banner on there with the words, “Joy to the world.” I also cut out a couple of birds from cream cardstock and popped them up on the card panel with foam.

Finally, I glued the card panel onto an A2-sized card base, and that wraps up my Christmas card using the Love From Afar dies.

I truly believe this die set will bring you a lot of joy. It’s large and creates a beautiful focal point on your card. I hope you give it a try and have a blast with your crafting!

Day 3: October Blog Hop + New Release Now Available

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE //  If you missed Day 2 CLICK HERE

Hello, Gemma here today sharing a merry & bright Christmas tree card, using the new Tree Cover Plate.

I began by die cutting the Tree Cover Plate from pearl white sparkle card. I also die cut it from four bright colours of card for the decorated trees, along with satin gold mirror card to get nine of the solid trees.

I adhered the pearl white sparkle card background to an A2 card base, followed by the gold trees. Not all of these will be seen, but it means that they all have the same dimension.

Next, I added the brightly coloured trees on top, alternating the colours. The gold underneath will show through the holes in three of the trees.

For the sentiment, I white heat embossed a greeting from the Sentiment Strips: Christmas stamp set on pink card. I die cut this using one of the dies in the Sentiment Strips set, then popped it up on the card with foam tape.

To finish, I added some little stars to the tops of some of the trees. This star die is one of the small decoration pieces included in the Tree Cover Plate.

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE

Hi friends, it’s Lindsey here. My favorite crafty thing to make during the holidays is actually not cards. It’s tags! I try to make special tags for my family every year, and my children and nieces have started using them as tree decorations.

Day 2: October Blog Hop + New Release Now Available

I pulled out my much-loved Winter Mug and used the Holiday Mug Additions to dress it up. Inside the mug I tucked in the little tree stick and peppermint from the new dies and a candy cane from the Winter Mug dies

Day 2: October Blog Hop + New Release Now Available

I also sprinkled on some snowflakes from the new Candy Cane Lane Mix. Oh, and that wonderful puff of whipped cream is actually Santa’s beard (a die in the Holiday Mug Additions) that I adhered upside down.

Day 2: October Blog Hop + New Release Now Available

My final project is a large tag made from the new Stocking Shaker die. I filled it with Candy Cane Lane Clay Confetti Mix. Then, I tucked in some candy canes (Winter Mug dies) and a gift (Build A Gift Dies).

Hello crafty friends! Leica here, and I’ve got a joyful holiday shaker card to share with you to kick off the blog hop.

To get things rolling, I took an A2-sized piece of pink cardstock and gave it a candy cane print background using the Layered Candy Canes Stencils. For Layer A, I used Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink, and for Layer B, I applied Finnabair Snowflake Paste.

I created a frame from white cardstock using the Fancy Cake Dies and glued a piece of acetate on the back of the frame. Then, I surrounded the frame with foam tape, and for the shaker fun, I filled it up with the Candy Cane Lane Mix.

For the main attraction of my card, I added a stocking using the Build A Stocking die set. I incorporated some greenery from the Winter Foliage Dies and adorned it with a gold ribbon from the Holiday Mug Additions, topped with a Metallic Gold Pearl.

To make the sentiment pop, I hot foiled the “Holidays” in gold and cut it with the Happy Holidays Shadow die. I then heat embossed “happy” on a strip of blue cardstock in gold and placed it just above the “Holiday Shadow.”

Finally, I glued the card panel onto an A2-sized card base. And there you have it, my lovely shaker card. I hope you’ll give shaker cards a whirl for your loved ones this holiday season.

PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. We are giving away 4 $30 gift certificates to four random comments (1 winner each day) left before October 19, 2023 at 11:59 PM PST. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners.

Sneak Peek: October 2023 Dies

Hello! It’s Lindsey today and I’m super excited to be giving you a sneak peek of the amazing new dies releasing this month. They have absolutely put me in the mood for Christmas, and I think you are going to love them!

New release will be available October 11th

Sneak Peek: October 2023 Dies

Today’s projects are extra special for me because these are the colors you will find in my home at Christmastime. The fabric, embellishments and overall design of my family’s stockings inspired my first card. Because I wanted everyone’s stocking to fit, this card is a large, non-traditional size (8.5×4.25).

Sneak Peek: October 2023 Dies

The new Build a Stocking dies are a must have in my opinion. They are so much fun! I had a blast mixing and matching all the little pieces. The creative possibilities are endless! There are two stocking sizes that have multiple solid, stitched, and polka dot overlay options. There are lots of cuff options, too, and even more if you layer them.

Sneak Peek: October 2023 Dies

The solid outline stocking shapes also make it easy to design your own stocking. I made my floral stocking with berries and leaves from the new Holiday Mug Additions. I also added a little flower embellishment from the Winter Foliage dies onto the red polka dot stocking, but otherwise all the stockings were made using the Build a Stocking dies.

Sneak Peek: October 2023 Dies

The sentiment on my card is soon-to-be-released Merry Christmas Shadow Die. And just FYI, there are two other sentiment dies releasing this month. Yay!

Sneak Peek: October 2023 Dies

Oh, and if you look closely you will see the pierced snowflake design on my card base. That is the fabulous new Pierced Snowflakes Plate. Love, love, love!!! Here’s one last shot of some of the stockings I used in the photos just so you can see more design options. Once you start making these, you aren’t going to want to stop!

Sneak Peek: October 2023 Dies

Okay, on to my second card!  I’m especially fond of the new Tree Cover Plate and was eager to use it.  There are so many cute patterns on these trees, and the card practically makes itself.

Sneak Peek: October 2023 Dies

After arranging my trees, I simply created a frame with the new Eyelet Rectangles and finished off the card with the previously released Merry & Bright Script Dies

Sneak Peek: October 2023 Dies

This is a huge release, and there are several more dies releasing, so make sure you come back tomorrow to see everything in picture form. Thanks so much for joining me today!
