Hello, friends! Justin here, and I am so excited to be finishing off this super fun Christmas Theme Week with a duo of cards that are incredibly easy to create using a 2-for-1 method! I have been itching to use the Ornament Cover Plate Die, and this was the perfect opportunity to use it with some simple sentiments!

Now, let me show you how easy it was to put this card together!

I decided that I just wanted to play with 2 distinct colors, and settled on bubblegum pink and mint green. I thought these were cards that play really well with themselves for the holiday season (that, and I was REALLY excited that the new Wicked: For Good movie would be out soon). I took the Ornament Cover Plate Die, and die cut the plate once from pink cardstock and again from green cardstock.

Because the Ornament Cover Plate Die is designed to create ornament designs with the negative shapes, I ended up with (6) pink and (6) green ornaments. I wanted to give these ornaments a little bit of extra detail, so I decided to blend the edges of the pink ornaments with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, and the edges of the green ornaments with Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink. I felt this ink blending really helped the ornaments have more dimension than had I left them just plain cardstock.

I adhered my cover plate die cuts onto a white A2-sized card base, and then fit ornaments of the opposite color into each of the negative circle spots.

I was originally planning on adhering embellishments onto each card, by the simple symmetrical design of the card was sort of throwing me through a loop for embellishment placement. I decided to instead splatter each panel with white acrylic paint. I thought this was a great way to add some detail to the card, without overthinking placement. Also, I die cut the ornament topper dies from metallic gold paper, which also helped give the ornaments some great flair.

To finish my card, I heat embossed the sentiments “Tis The Season” and “Merry & Bright” on colored cardstock in white embossing powder. To give the sentiments a little bit of lift, I adhered them to the lower right ornament on each card using foam tape.

And there you have it! An easy way to create a duo of cards with minimal die cutting! I think that there are so many fun ways you could use this cover plate die for batch card making this holiday season!

Hello, friends and welcome back to Day 6 of Christmas Theme Week on the Pretty Pink Posh blog! Brenda from My PaperCut Creations here with you today!! Holiday cards are some of my favorite to create so I’m super excited to be sharing my card featuring the stunning Winter Foliage Die Set with you today!! I love everything about this set!

I began by die-cutting all the elements in the Winter Foliage Die Set from red, two shades of green, two shades of brown and two shades of teal cardstock. I added some dimension to the die-cuts with dye inks and blending brushes, then layered and adhered each individual element together with liquid glue.

For the background, I blended Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks onto a panel of white cardstock with the Snowflake Background Stencil. I added the darker color toward the center, then blended it lighter toward the outside of the panel. I also die-cut the panel with the Pierced Snowflakes Die to add a bit of texture. The poinsettias were popped up with foam squares and the pinecones and foliage die-cuts were arranged and tucked in around the poinsettias, adhering them with liquid glue. I added Cherry Red Pearls to the berry branches, then splattered the panel with diluted white bleed-proof ink. I applied Opaque Grit Paste and a bit of Rock Candy Glitter to the entire arrangement to create a snowy effect.

The sentiment is from the Christmas Banner Greetings Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with red dye ink and cut out with a die from the Banner Greetings 1 Die Set. I also die-cut three more banners from heavyweight white cardstock using the same die and adhered them behind the stamped one, then adhered it across the center of the card. A trio of Metallic Gold Confetti added to the center of each of the poinsettias finishes off the card.

Hello Crafty Friends! It is Hanh here with you today. I’m sharing a fun and yummy Christmas card featuring the Big Christmas Cupcake Dies. Can you imagine if this were a real cupcake? Wouldn’t that huge Christmas tree worth of frosting be just heavenly?! It’s making me hungry already. This was a super fun die to play with because the possibilities for decorating this cupcake are endless. 

I started by creating the background. I used the largest die from the Eyelet Rectangles Dies to diecut a piece of pink cardstock. The scalloped edges were masked off with some low tack tape. I used the three stencils in the Layered Snowflakes Stencils and Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink to create a subtle snowy background. I set that aside to dry as I worked on the cupcake. 

The Big Christmas Cupcake Dies were used to diecut all of the cupcake, Christmas tree, ornaments, snowflakes ad bow out of white, red, green and gold cardstock. I used Copic markers (E41 W1) to add a little color to the white frosting. I also added some highlights with a white gel pen. The elements were assembled as seen in the photos, with liquid glue. Foam squares were used to adhere the bow and ornaments for a bit of dimension and interest. 

For the sentiment, I stamped the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from the Christmas Banner Greetings onto a piece of white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the Banner Greetings 1 Dies to diecut the sentiment. I used the die to also diecut another banner out of green cardstock. The two banners were adhered to each other slightly offset to create a green shadow. 

The cupcake and sentiment banner were adhered to the pink panel with foam tape. I adhered the larger snowflakes directly onto the pink panel with liquid glue. A piece of craft foam was adhered to the back of the pink panel before it was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25″ x 5.5″).

Hi crafty friends! Sophie here and I am thrilled to be here celebrating Christmas Theme week with you all! Today I am sharing a pair of fun cards featuring the Winter Mug die set and the Holiday Mug Additions die set.

For my first card I wanted to feature a somewhat non-traditional Christmas color palette with pinks, reds, and greens. I love pinks for holiday projects! I featured the additions that make the mug into a little Santa Claus with the belt and buckle. Such a whimsical set, PPP always knocks it out of the park with creativity. For the background, I used the Falling Snowflakes Stencil, an oldie but a goodie. The Eyelet Rectangles set is one of my most used staples.

For my second card I wanted to make a little reindeer mug. I used some of the greenery as decorations to frame the mug and I used the Large Merry Shadow for a sentiment out of red with some vellum as the shadow layer. For the background I die cut a bunch of the snowflakes from the Winter Mug set and just scattered them around the card for a simple but sparkly effect.

Hi friends, Debbie here for the Christmas Theme Week at Pretty Pink Posh! How much have we been loving the Christmas and Winter Releases?! For today I’m playing with the previously released Poinsettias stamp set that has a coordinating Poinsettias stencil and Poinsettias coordinating dies.

I started off by stamping out all the Poinsettias and leaves on to  X-Press It card stock, also stamping out the bells from Christmas Bells stamp set and copic colored in with:

R20, R22, R24, R27, R29, R39
G21, G24, G28
YR23, YR24, YR27, Y18
Y26, Y28
R81, R83, R85

Next, I die-cut out the images with the Poinsettias coordinating dies and Christmas Bells coordinating dies.

Then with a white standard A2 panel, I ink blended a pinkish red ink towards the top where I will attach the Poinsettias over. But before then I ran it through with the Chevron Pierced Plate and attached it to a card base. 

I wanted some gold branches to tuck in with the foliage. So with the Holiday Wreath die set, I took some of the branch dies and ran through with the Matte Gold Card stock.

Popping up the poinsettias with thin and 3D foam squares, I made my arrangement. Adding the leave directly to the panel with liquid glue, and tucking the gold branches in also.

There was a small gap in the flowers, where I added a small foam squares in there to attach the bells on to. 

Before I added my sentiment, I did white splatter all over the arrangement. As it dried I stamped and gold heat embossed “Season’s Greetings” from the Sentiment Strips: Christmas. Then with the Sentiment Strips Dies I die-cut it out and popped it up with foam squares.

The final touch was adding Metallic Gold Pearls and a Pink Blush Pearl to the center of the Bow.

Hello crafty friends, it’s June! We are starting Christmas Theme Week today and there will also be a giveaway each day, in honor of the holiday season. My contribution to the theme week is this fun card featuring the adorable Holiday Birds.

The idea for this card came to me when I was playing around with some stencils and I happened to use some colors that would be perfect for a Christmas card. The stencil I used was the Layered Floral Vines. As you might notice, I added another layer of flowers in each of the diamond shapes by simply shifting the stencil. I really like how it gives a fuller pattern that doesn’t leave as much white space on my background panel.

I used the Winter Hat Shaker to create my center piece. I blended my pieces using the same red and pink shades that I used with the stencil earlier. I filled the shaker with the Rustic Shaker Beads and flowers from the Easter Holder Additions. That way the flowers from the background could be represented elsewhere to. I went even further with my flower theme and turned the hat’s pompom into a flower aswel, using one of the circles with stitching details from the Champagne Flute Shaker.

To make it stand out against the busy background, I cut out out an Eyelet Heart from sage green cardstock to back my shaker piece onto. As busy as the card already looked, I really wanted to add more, so I cut out the Holiday Birds from various colors of cardstock and even did some Copic blending on them. I also added white gel pen detailing on all my die cut pieces. 

For my sentiment, I chose the ‘Winter Greetings’ from the… you guessed it, Winter Greetings stamp set. I stamped it in red ink to compliment the color scheme.

A card with traditional holiday colors that still has a surprising element you wouldn’t expect to see in a Christmas card: flowers! This was a very satisfying card to put together and I hope you enjoyed reading about it just as much as I enjoyed making it.

Hello, and Merry Rex-Mas friends! Justin here, and today I’ve got some rawr-some inspiration this holiday season using the Christmas Dinosaurs stamp set! I pulled in a few newer products to really make this prehistoric Christmas card have a lot of fun!

Now, let’s get into pterrific details about how this project came together!

I started off my project by stamping and coloring all of the images from the Christmas Dinosaurs stamp set with my Copic Markers. I decided to mainly feature a bright color palette of Pink, Red, Green and Blue. I did end up incorporating a little bit of brown into my images, but used a more muted brown as I wanted the predominant feel of these images to be bright and playful for the holidays.

For some reason, I felt the Stitched Torn Rectangle Dies lended them selves incredibly well to the prehistoric theme, and I decided to use the largest die in the set to contain my scene elements. I also die cut a couple more of the same shape from green cardstock, and then cut it with the Snowy Hill Border Dies to create hilly scenes. I did end up adding a little bit of Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Ink to each of the hilly portions to create a little bit of depth, and to also make each individual hill visible. I layered them on top of one another, and then adhered them onto my main torn rectangle background, which I had ink blended with Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink to create a sky. I stamped out the sentiment “Merry Rex-Mas!” in a black pigment ink, and heat embossed it with a clear powder to set it.

Using a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive, I adhered each of my colored images onto my card. I took advantage of some fun layering techniques, and was able to even tuck my Christmas Palm Trees slightly behind each of their hills.

Because my torn rectangle panel really honed in on the green and blue from my color palette, I wanted to give some attention to red and pink as well. I cut an A2-size piece of light pink cardstock, placed the Candy Cane Stripes Stencil over it, and blended it with Candied Apple Distress Ink. I took my scene torn rectangle unit and used liquid adhesive to adhere it directly to my Candy Cane Stripes background, and then adhered that unit to an A2-size card base.

I had originally thought I was going to tap into more of a wintry feel for my card, and use white snowflake embellishments. Since I had instead decided to keep the feel more tropical, I was going through my stash of Pretty Pink Posh Embellishments and was shocked to find that the Enchanted Garden Clay Confetti Mix was honestly a perfect fit for my card. All of the main colors I was representing could be found in this set, and I thought that, when used with the elements in my card, there was even a tinge of a jungle/tropical vibe with these shapes as well! So, I adhered a handful of embellishments from the mix to my card, and was completed!

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I’m super happy to be back with this bright and cheerful holiday card featuring a mix & match of items from the holiday release and “older” ones, including the Gingerbread Shaker, which is so amazing! I’m a big fan of the Pretty Pink Posh Shaker Collection, so I had to feature this cute little guy on one of my projects.

And speaking of which, I started off by building my Gingerbread Shaker following those steps:1. I cut a Gingerbread Shaker frame out of dark kraft cardstock, applied gathered twigs distress ink on the edges, mixed that same ink with water, added brown splatters on my gingerbread frame, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink,2. I cut a whole Gingerbread Shaker panel out of acetate, and stuck that panel at the back of the brown frame using liquid glue,3. Still at the back of the frame, I attached foam strips all along the edges of my Gingerbread Shaker frame, bending and curving the strips to follow the shape of my die cut piece,4. I poured a whole lot of Gingerbread shaker beads on the acetate,5. I cut a whole Gingerbread Shaker panel out of a beige gingham pattern paper, added brown and white splatters to it, and when dry, attached it to the foam strips to close my Gingerbread Shaker,6. I cut the icing decorative pieces out of white cardstock, added liquid stardust splatters to them, stuck them on my shaker with liquid glue, and applied glossy accents to those white pieces to make them shine.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces out of white cardstock, colored cardstock and pattern paper, and as always, here is a detailed list of the die sets I used: • Christmas Bucket Additions – gummies, candy canes, peppermint candies • Valentine Holder Additions – heart cheeks, bow • Big Valentine Cupcake – cupcake wrap, cupcake, whipped cream • Candy Treats – cookies.

To the white pieces I added liquid stardust splatters, to the pattern paper pieces I added white splatters, and to the colored cardstock pieces I applied matching distress ink to the edges, added white splatters and matching distress ink splatters. To some of them, such as the gummies, heart cheeks and candies, I added liquid stardust splatters, and just like the icing details on my Gingerbread Shaker, I applied glossy accents to the white swirling details on the cookies.

Next I cut a large Eyelet Rectangle panel out of light kraft cardstock, run it through my die cutting machine along with the Argyle Pierced Plate die to give my panel a nice texture, and then used the Candy Cane Stripes stencil to add a pretty pattern, lining up with the dots created by the Argyle Pierced Plate. In one way I applied white pigment ink, and in the other way I applied candied apple oxide ink. I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water and added white splatters all over my panel, I did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles, and then with lumberjack plaid oxide for contrast. When it was dry, I attached my panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light pink panel, and then to a white card base.

I assembled and attached all my elements on my card, starting with the Gingerbread Shaker, next the cupcake and then all the small decorative pieces. I gave my cute little guy a pair of wiggly eyes and three Onyx Pearls as buttons, I picked some peppermint confetti from the Holiday Gingerbread Mix, attached one on the bow and one on each peppermint candy using liquid glue.

I white heat embossed “Have a sweet Christmas” from Gingerbread Friends on light pink cardstock, cut it with the matching die and finally attached my sentiment right on the poinsettia cupcake wrap using foam squares.
