Hot Cocoa Mug
Hello, friends! Justin Adkins here, and today I have some cozy hot cocoa inspiration to share with you that is surely perfect for this chillier time of year! I combined some older and new products to help brew up this card, and included a lot of little bits of ink blending to send those cute details over the top!

Winter Mug Dies
Holiday Mug Additions Dies
Notched Rectangle Dies
Let It Snow Stamp Set
Let It Snow Coordinating Dies
Layered Snowmen Stencils
I have had the Layered Snowmen Stencil in my collection for a little chunk of time now, and I remember being heavily inspired to purchase it after seeing how Design Team Member Marine Simon used white pigment ink on craft cardstock to bring these snowmen to life! I wanted to use this stencil with a similar technique, but on a light blue paper to help translate my color palette a bit more! In addition to white pigment ink, I used a handful of Distress Oxide Inks to blend up the little snowmen details! Now, you will have to implement gentler blending techniques, and possibly use some masking tape to help control your ink from only going into the designated areas, but the end result is SO worth it!

I also wanted to make a hot cocoa mug using the Winter Mug Dies, and then dress it up a bit for the season! I used some of the detail dies included in the Winter Mug Dies, along with the Holiday Mug Additions Dies to give this card a bit of a peppermint flair. Instead of your traditional white and red candy canes, I decided to swap out the red for pink, as I thought this remove the holiday edge from the card, and helped promote general winter coziness! That way, if you don’t get it into the mail until after the holidays, it is still seasonally appropriate!
My sentiment comes from the Let It Snow stamp set, which I also die cut with the coordinating die set. Using some of the small snowflake stamps from the Let It Snow stamp set, I stamped over a blue die cut piece from the Notched Rectangle Dies in dark blue ink, and then ink blended the edges in the same color.
I adhered my pieces together, and grabbed a couple embellishments from my stash to give this card some last bits of shimmer, and I was completed!
