Sweetheart Box of Chocolates
Hello! It’s Christina, and today I’m sharing a sweet Valentine’s Day card featuring the new Box of Chocolates Dies and the new stencil, Layered Cupid Items. For this card, I stretched my crafty supplies by using the Scallop Hearts for my box of chocolates instead of the included rectangle dies and stenciling just the hearts instead of all the cupid things on my background panel. Layered Cupid Items Stencil
I started by die-cutting all the pieces for my boxes of chocolates from colored cardstock. I chose a sweet color palette of sea glass, honeysuckle, vanilla, and chocolate. I used sea glass cardstock for the Scallop Hearts and layered the frame on both hearts with two extra diecuts to give the heart boxes some dimension. Then I die-cut the chocolates and all the decorative layering pieces from white, honeysuckle, vanilla, and chocolate cardstock. I had a blast mixing and matching all the different decorative pieces to create the sweet chocolates cupped in little scalloped liners. Lastly, I filled the heart boxes with my assembled chocolates and added bows to each box.
Next, I die-cut the Pierced Hearts Plate from white cardstock and then stenciled the panel with just the hearts from the Layered Cupid Items stencils. I chose a minty green to match the sea glass cardstock and shifted the stencil around the panel to add even more hearts.
To finish things up, I attached the boxes of chocolates to the background panel and then added two sentiments from the Valentine Greetings stamp set. I heat-embossed them with white embossing powder on sea glass cardstock and used the coordinating dies to die-cut them before attaching them to my card. The finishing touch was to add a few honeysuckle hearts for embellishment.
