Sneak Peek: Peonies

Hi friends! Angelica here and today I am sharing sneak peeks of the new gorgeous Peonies stamp set that releases on April 29th. I’ve made two cards using the same coloring technique.

My first card is a clean and simple card. I stamped the flowers and petals onto watercolor paper with embossing ink, then heat-embossed with white embossing powder. I used Tombow markers and a watercolor brush to color the images.

I die-cut the images using the Peonies coordinating dies. I cut a panel of white card stock to 4 x 5.25, then blended Impress Fresh Ink Peony onto the middle. I stamped a sentiment from the new Animal Signs stamp set, and added the flowers and petals with different sizes of foam adhesive squares. I attached the card front to an A2 size card base with craft foam, then added a few Sparkling Clear Jewels for my finishing touch.

For my second card, I jazzed it up with more color.

I used light blue card stock for my card panel, and darkened the edges with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped and gold heat-embossed another sentiment from the Animal Signs stamp set, and added beautiful new Cornflower Jewels to finish the card.

I can’t wait to see all the new projects that will be made with this fabulous release! Join us tomorrow as we reveal more products that will be available on April 29th. Thanks for stopping by!

Sneak Peek: Elephant Friends

Hello! This is Nicky with you today and I have a fun sneak peek at the upcoming Pretty Pink Posh new release that is available on April 29th. I am featuring the new stamp set Elephant Friends‘.

Pretty Pink Posh has started a new line of stencils which is very exciting to me and my card uses the ‘Leaves Stencil‘. The grassy hills were created using the Stitched Borders 2 Die.

This card is a slimline card with finished dimensions of 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and fits a Size 9 standard envelope.  I made a card base and set it to one side.  I created a panel, masked off the edges so that I’d have a white border and I used the stencil together with Distress Oxide ink in Cracked Pistachio and a with a Clarity Stencil Brush I brushed the ink through the stencil.  The stencil is not as wide as this extra long card and so I moved the stencil along and completed the job.  The mask was removed.

I die cut 3 sections of ‘grass’ using one of the trio of dies from Stitched Borders 2 and ink blended them using the same ink as for the stenciling and then backed them with foam tape and applied them to the background panel.  I stamped the sentiment BIG Hugs in my Misti so that I could repeat the stamping and get a bold look.

On Strathmore Bristol Smooth the Elephant Friends images were stamped using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil. They were watercolour painted using a Tombow ABT in shade 451 and Kuretake Zigs in Blue Gray, Light Pink, Yellow and Green Shadow. Points were highlighted with a white gel pen.  They were die cut and backed with more foam and applied to the scene.

For the finishing touches, I applied Glossy Accents to the star balloon to make it shiny and highly dimensional and several Sparkling Clear Sequins of 3 different sizes were also attached.

I think you need these these elephants in your life – aren’t they just so sweet?

Tutorial: Easy Masking and Copic Coloring

Hi everyone, it’s Ardyth and I have a colourful spring card to share today!

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I started by cutting 12 stitched circles using a die from Stitched Essentials. I stamped 11 of them with the single flower stamps from Spring Wreath and the 12th with a sentiment from Everyday Greetings.

I cut masks for the flowers and blended blue ink over the circles. When I removed the masks, I coloured the flowers with Copic markers.

For the sentiment, obviously, I didn’t have a matching die, so I used a circle die that fit just inside the stitching, so that the sentiment circle would have a blue border and a similar look to the rest of them.

I popped up the 12 circles on a white panel cut with the stitched rectangle from Stitched Notes and then added some Party Mix Jewels to a couple of the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed the card and video. Have a great weekend!

Watercolor Spring Card

Hi, everyone! It’s Marge sharing a watercolor spring card which features Spring Wreath stamp set and Beautiful Butterflies stamp set.

To begin, I trimmed heavyweight watercolor cardstock into A2 size, then I placed negative diecut of larger Scallop Ovals Die on the center to mask it off. The outer space was filled with small images from Spring Wreath stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I watercolored all the images using my watercolor brush markers and I added gold and blue dots on empty space between images using pearl pens which I had bought at a local store.

Next, I stamped butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies stamp set and Butterfly Friends stamp set on another watercolor paper, watercolored them and die cut them all using Beautiful Butterflies coordinating dies and Butterfly Friends coordinating dies.

Before stamping sentiment, I placed butterflies around the floral images first, then I stamped a sentiment from Thoughtful Greetings on the center using my Mini MISTI. In turn, I adhered butterflies on the same spots where I had placed them beforehand. I love how they look dimensional on the floral garden due to Square Foam Adhesives I used.

Finally, I foam mounted my panel onto A2-sized card base and then I  added Sparkling Clear Sequins4mm Ballerina Pink and 6mm Ballerina Pink Sequins around the scene using Micro Glue Dots.

I love this cheerful spring mood from all the bright colors I used in my card and I enjoyed coloring those florals and butterflies a lot, which was very relaxing and stress-relieving. Thank you for reading this post. Have a beautiful day!

Shimmer Powder Butterflies + Sale

Hi all, it’s Lindsay here on the blog today! I’m here to share a card using some of the new die cuts from the latest Pretty Pink Posh release. I’m using the Bold Butterflies Dies (which is 30% off this weekend!) and the Spring Frame Die as my main centerpieces along with a sentiment from the Spring Wreath Stamp Set.

To start, I created backgrounds using Nuvo Shimmer Powders on watercolor paper. For the yellow/orange butterfly I used Catherine Wheel and Solar Flare. For the purple butterfly I used Violet Brocade and Cherry Bomb, and for the blue butterfly I used Atlantis Burst and Blue Blitz. What’s so fun about these powders is that you get more than one color of powder in each bottle so you get a really organic mixing of colors when you add water to them.

After creating my backgrounds I let them fully dry overnight and then die cut the Bold Butterflies Dies out of the watercolor paper. I also cut the Spring Frame Die out of plain, white cardstock. I adhered the Spring Frame Die over my card base and arranged and adhered the Bold Butterflies Dies onto the card front. I felt that the colorful die cuts really stole the show so I just wanted to add in a small sentiment, which the “Spring Greetings” from the Spring Wreath Stamp Set was perfect for. I added the white heat embossed sentiment with a bit of foam tape and the card was complete!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, I hope you were inspired!

Spring Butterflies + Three Day Sale!

Hello friends, Eloise here and today I have a card featuring the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set along with the Bold Butterflies Dies (both are 30% off this weekend!), since they layer so nicely and then I brought in the Spring Frame Die since again, these products work so nicely together and it fit with the design of my card.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

To start off I cut out the Spring Frame Die and Bold Butterflies Dies from vellum and set them off to the side for later. I then used my MISTI to stamp out my butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies. I used a smaller and larger one since they layer the best and then I coloured them in with Copic Markers. I used a colour combo from Pinterest which is two shades of Pink, a green and blue to help colour these in as well. Once they were coloured in, I cut them out using the coordinating dies.

Copic Markers Used: R30, R81, R83, R85 / RV10, RV13, RV25, RV19 / YG01, YG03, YG07, YG09 / YG61, YG63, YG67, G28 / BG10, BG11, BG13, BG49 / C00, C0, C1, C3

Now that all my elements were ready to go, I added adhesive to the middle of the butterflies and adhered them on top of the vellum ones. For my background I water-coloured some stripes in coordinating colours and dried them off with a heat tool.

To finish up, I used the Stitched Notes Die Set and cut the frame from a piece of blue cardstock. I used the outer frame and added adhesive onto the back and adhered it to the vellum Spring Frame. I then added foam tape onto the back and adhered it over my water-coloured panel. I cut apart the ‘Flying By To Say Hello’ sentiment from Beautiful Butterflies and stamped that onto the background using my MISTI and black ink.

I adhered my butterflies into place and then scattered some Wisteria Blossoms Confetti Mix around the card.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed, and I’ll see you all next time.

Watercolor Spring Card

Hi, crafty friends! It’s Marge with you for today and I’m sharing a simple flower card I made using the popular Hummingbird Thanks set with the Crocus Flowers set.

I started by stamping Crocus Flowers (with masking technique) and a Hummingbird on watercolor paper with Antique Linen ink then I watercolored them very lightly. I cut the flowers freehand and hummingbird using Hummingbird Thanks Coordinating Dies and set them aside.

Next, I removed a pair the window pieces from Decorative Tags 2 Dies and ran it through my cutting machine to cut a tag which I really love the shape.

Then, I trimmed a piece of gray gingham paper little bit smaller than 4.25×5.5 inch and adhered it onto white card base. In turn, I foam mounted Decorative Tags 2Crocus Flowers, and Hummingbird Thanks one by one on it.

Sentiment from Floral Hearts set was heat embossed in white on a piece of red card stock. Finally, I embellished my card with the Valentine Jewel Mix and Ivory Twine which were adhered by using Mini Glue Dots.

That’s it from me for today. Thank you and have a wonderful day !

Spring Wreath with Pencils on Kraft

Hello everybody, Wanda here guesting on the Pretty Pink Posh blog!

I started by stamping the Spring Wreath in embossing ink and then heat embossing with white embossing powder onto Kraft cardstock. Die cut the wreath image using the matching die cut.

Color in the images with colored pencils. Wrap natural twine around the wreath and tie with a bow for a bit of dimension.

The finished card is a 4.5″ x 4.5″ square. Cut a score a piece of bright pink cardstock to make your card base. Cut a vellum layer to 4.25″ x 4.25″ and heat emboss the spring greetings sentiment onto the vellum.

Using Copic Opaque White, splatter white flecks onto the pink card base and let dry. Affix the vellum to the pink card base underneath where the wreath will be mounted.

Attach the wreath die cut to the card base using foam tape.

That’s it for today! Thanks for stopping by to see me!

Tutorial: Peek-A-Boo Easter Card

Hello friends, Eloise here and today I have an Easter project to share with you all. I used the Easter Eggs stamp set along with the Bunny Friends stamp set to create a peek-a-boo card.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I started off with stamping out my eggs onto a white piece of cardstock with black ink. I used four different styles of eggs and arranged them in my Mini MISTI stamping tool. I left a gap between the top and bottom rows for a sentiment, too. Once they were stamped, I cut apart the sentiment ‘Happy Easter’ and stamped them next to each other using my MISTI once again to stamp them between the eggs. Next, I used the Bunny Friends stamp set, stamped out a few of the images with my MISTI as well. I then coloured in everything with Copic Markers.

Copic Markers Used: RV10, RV13, RV25, RV19 / B63, BV02, BV04, BV08 / YR00, YR02, YR12, YR18 / B21, B24, B26, B39 / Y11, Y13, Y15, Y19 / YG01, YG03, YG07, YG09 / BG10, BG11, BG13, BG49 / E41, E42, E43, E44 / W00, W0, W1, W3 / 0

Now to create the ‘peek-a-boo’ element. I took the coordinating die and placed it over top of the egg, just like I normally would. I then placed the piece of cardstock into my die cut machine and covered ¾ of the bottom of the egg, leaving the top bit without a plate covering. I then ran through the piece and removed the die. This allows the egg to be folded upwards and to reveal the inside. I repeated this for the rest of my eggs and set off the piece to the side. I then cut my bunnies out with their dies as well.

I then took a white card base and covered it with a piece of blue patterned paper. I placed my peek a boo panel over top and traced around the inside of the eggs on my card base with a pencil. I adhered my bunnies and flowers on the insides of each of the eggs with foam tape and then erased the pencil lines. I added a double layer of foam to the back of my peek a boo panel and adhered it over the same spot.

That finished up my Easter card for today, I hope you enjoyed and got inspired. See you all next time!

Eloise
