Watercolor Spring Card
Hi, crafty friends! It’s Marge with you for today and I’m sharing a simple flower card I made using the popular Hummingbird Thanks set with the Crocus Flowers set.
I started by stamping Crocus Flowers (with masking technique) and a Hummingbird on watercolor paper with Antique Linen ink then I watercolored them very lightly. I cut the flowers freehand and hummingbird using Hummingbird Thanks Coordinating Dies and set them aside.
Next, I removed a pair the window pieces from Decorative Tags 2 Dies and ran it through my cutting machine to cut a tag which I really love the shape.
Then, I trimmed a piece of gray gingham paper little bit smaller than 4.25×5.5 inch and adhered it onto white card base. In turn, I foam mounted Decorative Tags 2, Crocus Flowers, and Hummingbird Thanks one by one on it.
Sentiment from Floral Hearts set was heat embossed in white on a piece of red card stock. Finally, I embellished my card with the Valentine Jewel Mix and Ivory Twine which were adhered by using Mini Glue Dots.
Gorgeous and charming colors. Appreciate your sharing and inspiring.
Gorgeous Marge! I have some of these hummingbirds all stamped and die cut on my desk waiting to be colored… Love your inspiration. I like how you layered with a tag. And of course the beautiful no line coloring!
