Update

Hello all!
I don’t have a card to share today….I’ve been working on editing a new tutorial for you. I’m hoping to finish it in the next day or so- be sure to keep back on my blog for the video. :)
I want to thank you all for your understanding while I’ve been super busy with CHA prep these last two months. I’m guessing, but I know I made at least 260 cards in these past two months. Hopefully you can understand why I haven’t been blogging daily. Once I get back from my trip and things settle down at work, I’m hoping to get back into a routine and get lots of new cards on my blog. I hope you’ll bear with me…
In other news, I recently bought my first digital camera! Yup, I have never owned one before this week! I haven’t played with it yet; I just got a memory card today. I wanted to be sure I had a camera before CHA- I plan on taking lots of pictures and sharing them on here! Have I mentioned how excited I am about meeting fellow bloggers and also DeNami Design fans? In case you missed the news, I’ll be working during the whole CHA SuperShow in the DeNami Design booth #706. We are the very first booth you’ll see inside- you can’t miss us! The plan is for me to be on one of the registers. :)
Thanks for checking in. Hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Adorable Owls

Hello there!
It’s the third Wednesday of the month- time for the product spotlight over on the DeNami Design blog! I just love this day! Seeing so many cards using the same stamps- a stampers dream to get inspiration using stamps they have, or been eyeing! This month we are featuring the adorable Owls stamp set. Owls have been around for quite some time, but I never saw any that I truly liked. I was beyond thrilled when I saw how cute these little ones were. On this card, I paired the owls up with lots of brand new goodies. (Scroll below for the complete supply list.)
Be sure to hop fly by the DeNami blog and take a look at the other fabulous DT samples. As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts on my card! :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great rest of the day!

DeNami Sketch Challenge #3

Hello blog friends!

It’s the 20th which means it’s time for a new DeNami Design blog challenge! We rotate between our four categories (sketch, theme, color and theme)- this time we’re doing a fun sketch! Sketches are some of my favorites to do; they are easy to translate to your style, and it’s fun to see all the different takes on the same sketch!
For my card today, I knew I wanted to play with the Tulip Border. It’s been a little while since I played with this pretty stamp. I just love how it coordinates with the Scallop Tulip Circle, so I had to bring that one out too! :) At the bottom I added one of the stamps from the Let’s Get Together set. Have I mentioned that I love the style of this sentiment before? Man, I wish I had writing like that…..
I hope you’ll play along with this FUN sketch! For this particular one, you don’t have to use DeNami stamps, so there is no excuse not to join in on the fun! You have until July 30th, 11:59 PST to play. We can’t wait to see what you create!
Have a fabulous Tuesday! I’ll see you tomorrow with my DeNami Design Product Spotlight post featuring some adorable stamps!

O Happy Day

Hello there!

I hope you’ve been having a great weekend. As usual, I’ve been staying busy. I was finally able to semi-straighten my craft studio. Oh goodness, has it gotten bad. I’m dreading getting the vacuum out and straightening the stamps. Since I’ve been creating so much lately, I’ve been super terrible at putting them back. I need someone to come and clean/ straighten all of them!

It’s been a little while since I pulled out my Papertrey stamps out. I wanted to do something fresh and fun and thought I’d bring out Turning A New Leaf. I just love these leaves! I used my new Big Scallop Square LG dies. It wasn’t too long ago when I didn’t have any Spellbinder dies. Now, I have so many, I forget which ones I have! :)

I must share with the world my news- I’ve finished the BIG CHA display that I have been working on! I honestly wasn’t sure if I could pull it off….10 brand new boards= approximately 150 newly created/ designed cards. Lots of cards didn’t “make the cut” – I wanted to only bring you the very best. I’m excited (and NERVOUS) about them making their debut at the CHA SuperShow. For those who can’t make it to the DeNami Design booth at that show, don’t worry! It’ll be going around to the rest of the shows this year!

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share my good news. Now that I’ve completed this mighty big task, I’ll be able to (hopefully) post more often to my blog and create for publication calls again! Really looking forward to that….

Stamps: Polka Dot Basics, Turning A New Leaf, Round & Round (PTI)
Paper: White, Berry Sorbet, Simply Chartreuse, Dark Chocolate (PTI)
Ink: Vintage Sepia, Versamark, Tea Dye Duo (PTI)

Other: Spellbinders Big Scallop Square LG dies, Hawaiian Shores grosgrain ribbon (PTI), button, twine

Embellish Ric Rac Color Challenge

Yippee! It’s time for another fabulous Embellish Color Challenge! This time the challenge was to use orange, turquoise, brown and kraft in addition to some ric rac. I’m so loving these colors together- it’s so unique and fresh! (It also seems to be very popular….)
A few weeks back I ordered the stunning Mehndi Medallions set, but haven’t had a chance to play with them until now. As soon as I saw this challenge, I knew this was the set I needed to use. I love the look of these medallions- completely different than anything else I own! Did you see how I used my ric rac? I used it as a border on my middle panel! Pretty neat, huh? If you don’t have any scallop punches, you could easily use a ric rac one and create your own. :)
I have lots planned for the weekend, so I’m not exactly sure if I’ll be able to post again. I’ll do my very best though! I have lots and lots of cards to share with you. :)
Thanks for spending some time with me. I hope you were inspired!
Stamps: Mehndi Medallions (WPlus9)
Paper: Cream, Brown Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Hawaiian Shores (PTI)

Other: Bronze rhinestones, Espresso Boutique Buttons, Spellbinders Labels Eleven dies, orange wrinkled ribbon, twine, paper piercer, ric rac border

Love Rosebuds

Hello there!

How are my blog followers today? Today is another perfect day in Washington. I am so lovin’ this gorgeous weather and the sunshine! One of my favorite things to do on sunny days is go driving with my sunglasses on, windows rolled down and music up high. :)
Today’s card is super fresh and pretty. I’ve posted cards in this past with the Leafy Vine. This stamp is versatile and uber fun to color. I added some pretty rosebuds from the Rosevine Flower stamp set, colored and then glittered them. Quick and easy!
With CHA just a mere two weeks away, I am almost finished with all the last minute details. I’m getting super excited about seeing my blog friends!! If you’ll be at the SuperShow, be sure to stop by the DeNami Design booth- we are the first one you see when you walk through the doors! We will have 3 fun Make-N-Takes, hundreds of brand new card samples and of course, some fabulous demonstrations by Nami (owner/designer). you’ll want to be sure to bring your camera and wear comfy shoes- it’s a HUGE show and the last thing you need are sore feet. ;)
This card is dedicated to all my blog followers….I truly value you spending time with me! Wishing you lots of love and happiness today!

I was planning on doing a giveaway when I hit 300 followers, but since I’m almost there, I’ll wait a little while longer. :) Any suggestions on what the next giveaway should be?

It’s My Birthday!

Hello, sweet blog friends!
Can you guess what day it is??? Yup, it’s my BIRTHDAY! Anyone (who doesn’t already know) want to guess how old I am?? Hint: I’m a fairly young crafter….I can’t wait to hear your guesses. :)
Since I almost always post cards to my blog, I thought I’d take a break on my birthday and post some pictures. Remember when I mentioned I was going with my sister to get her graduation pictures taken? (Click here for original post) Our friend, Kara, is extremely talented at photography and offered to take pictures for my sister. In addition to those, she took a few of me! Here are some of my favorites from the shoot… (I had to narrow it down from 300+!!)
(I’m on the left…my sis is on the right)
Didn’t the pictures turn out great? Like I said, Kara is amazingly talented behind the camera. For a look at more of her pictures, or to book an appointment (in WA state), visit her Facebook page: HangItPhotgraphy.
I wish she could take all our holiday/ everyday/ misc pictures! I’m already thinking of the next time she can shoot with us. :)
Thanks for spending a little time with me today!

Tropical Drinks

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great weekend! It was another GORGEOUS weekend here in Washington, and I was able to enjoy it for a little bit. Yesterday I went and enjoyed some yummy Coldstone (banana ice cream, Heath pieces and chocolate chips). SOOO bad for me, but it was oh so good!
With Summer being in full force, I just had to share a fun, vibrant card. You all know I’m busy working on the new CHA boards for DeNami Design. Well, here’s a sneak peek at one of the cards. (Don’t worry, between my blog and the DeNami blog, you’ll see lots of them!) I just love these colors together- Magenta, Lime, Chocolate Brown and the new Leaf Green. Lately I have been using the Harlequin Border a lot. It’s always fun to bring out an “older” stamp and give it new life. :)
Just a reminder, tomorrow is the last day to enter my EK Success birthday giveaway! If you haven’t had a chance to enter yet, be sure to do so soon! Remember, if you aren’t into punches (gasp!), you can give them as gifts! :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hope you have a great Monday!

2 Sketches 4 You- Kazan’s Sketch #56

Hi there, sweet blog friends!
I’m so sorry it has been a while since I have posted. You probably guessed that I have been crazy busy. If you did, you are absolutely correct! I can almost see the end of the tunnel, which is a very exciting feeling.
In order to keep stamping fun, I’m still trying to squeeze in a few “fun” projects in. Yes, I know I’m crazy. I feel like I need to keep some sort of normalcy in my life- since my life is stamping right now, I figured I’d throw in some fun challenges. This time, I tried my hand at Kazan’s Sketch #56. Thank goodness it was an easy sketch! :) I’m utterly in love with this new Elegant Floral Vine. It’s so perfect for a focal point, but also for creating backgrounds!
I’m going to keep this blog post short. If you haven’t entered my EK Success blog giveaway yet, be sure to do so soon! It’ll end on my birthday- Tuesday, July 13th!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you were inspired!
