Polka Dot Blog Hop

Hello and welcome!
I am beyond excited to announce that this is the VERY FIRST DeNami Design blog hop! We have played with the idea of having a blog hop for quite some time, but the timing was never right. After our latest release and CHA behind us, we thought it’d be the perfect time to do our first blog hop. Since I’m the DeNami DT coordinator, I had the privilege of choosing the theme. It wasn’t hard….who could resist some polka dots?? :)
My card showcases lots of the new designs, along with some fun colors. (Be sure to look below for the complete supply list.) I couldn’t resist bringing out TWO polka dot stamps- the Small Solid Circle and Polka Dot Background. Let me tell you, these stamps are so versatile, I could use them on all my cards! I added the Stitched Border then put a row of Aqua pearls in the middle. Before I didn’t care for colored pearls, but I just LOVE LOVE LOVE these ones! :)
Now for the deets of the hop:
There are THREE $20 gift certificates up for grabs! We have one “hidden” on three different blogs on the hop. (Only I know where they are hidden!) For the highest chance of winning a prize, be sure to leave a comment on each blog. One of the people who comment on a blog hidden with a prize, will win one of the gift certificates!
The next stop on the Polka Dot Blog Hop is Rebeka’s blog! Just in case you get lost along the way, or missed any of the previous stops, be sure to visit the DeNami Design blog!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope you were inspired! Don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog on the hop for the highest chance of winning a $20 DeNami Design gift certificate!

Whimsical Flags

Hello there!
Do any of you ever get to craft with your friends? Yesterday (for almost 10 hours!), I got to craft with my friend, Ginny. It’s been months since we did this and I’m so glad we both found time to do it again! There was many movies, laughs and lots of candy. :) Today’s card is one of many that I created.
For this card, I wanted to bring out My Beach House. This set is truly a lot of fun! I really love the little flags and the small rope border is just too cute. Since I have SOOOO many stamps, it’s hard to give them all the love that they need and deserve. However, I’ve been doing a lot better about using the stamps I have. It’s always so fun to bring out a set that you haven’t used for a while- the creativity really starts to flow again!
Just in case you missed the news, I have a brand new blog candy giveaway up! Be sure to check that out!
In other exciting news, tomorrow we have the first DeNami Design blog hop! You’ll want to be sure to visit my blog (and all the others) to see some beauties, but also for the chance to win a mini shopping spree!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Enjoy the start of your weekend!

Embellish Quirky Cutesty Clean Challenge

Hi there!

I was about to call it quits in the craft room when I saw the latest Embellish Color Challenge. Oh my word, how cute is this challenge? I love these colors together- they totally remind me of Sarah Martina! :) There’s something shabby chic/ vintage about these colors, which is probably why I wanted to try out this challenge so badly.
Since Lawn Fawn is featuring this challenge, I thought it would be a good time to pull out Sew Lovely stamp set. I got out the spool of thread stamp and went to town. I wanted to add something special so I faux spooled twine onto the spools. It took a little bit of time, but I think it looks so cute! Since I didn’t have any embroidery thread, I used some twine and used my Copics to match it to the challenge colors.
Did you see that I once again pulled out my PrairieBirdBoutique ribbon? Yup, really can’t get enough of Patsy’s ribbons! I actually created three cards using all different colored ribbons- I can’t wait to show them to you in future posts! Speaking of these ribbons, I’ll be hosting a giveaway starting tomorrow (if I can get the picture uploaded) for some of these amazing ribbons. Be sure to check back so you can enter!
Hope you all have a great night!

This & That Notepad

This notepad just makes me happy. I love these cheery colors and all those polka dots! :) It had been quite a while since I used these notepads, so I thought I’d bring them out again. I have so many of them, it’s not even funny. I really love doing these pleats with my ribbons (Click here to see my video tutorial). I wanted to try a new idea out for this project. I added twine on top of my ribbon- I really like this look! It kinda looks like I did stitching, but I really didn’t. Would you believe I still haven’t had the courage to try sewing on my cards?

Thank you to all who left a comment on my last post! It’s nice to know that you all like my chit chat. ;) Since you all requested I leave my blog the way it is, I’ll do so. Oh yes, I must also say that I enjoyed seeing comments from people who don’t comment often. I’d love for that to continue! Seriously, comments make me want to post more often, so the more you comment, the more I’ll post. *wink*

In closing, I want to mention that tomorrow I’ll be bringing you a new giveaway! You know that FABULOUS wrinkle ribbon I’ve been using? I’ll be giving some away! Be sure to check back tomorrow for all the details.

Thanks for stopping by Pretty Pink Posh today! I love that you took some time out of your day to spend it with me.

You Are My Sunshine

Good morning!

You all are FABULOUS! I talked with the owner of PrairieBirdBoutique and she said that lots of you purchased items from her store yesterday! It makes me so happy to support a great seller, but also that you all will be getting high quality items. I’m so anxious to see what you all create with her beautiful ribbons. Be sure to send me a comment or email with your blog links!!

Today’s card features stamps by WPlus9 Design Studio. My girl, Dawn, never ceases to amaze me with her fabulous new collections. She just released 4 new sets and boy are they all amazing. I wanted to get them all, but I had *some* self control. :) This card features Background Builders: Hearts and The Birds & The Bees. Super fun images in both of these set- be sure to check them out.

On a personal note, I’m going back to the gym today. It’s been at least two months since I had my last training session. These last few months I had to put personal life on hold, so now I’m getting back to my “normal” routine. I’m so scared to see my trainer! I will most likely have extremely sore muscles tomorrow….hopefully getting back to the gym will get me motivated to eat better and give me some more energy.

Before I leave, I have question: do you all like when I write lots in my posts? Do you read it? Sometimes I wonder if I should cut the chit chat and post that to a personal blog. I feel like I know you all so I like to post tidbits of my life, but I don’t want to bore you all! ;) Let me know…seriously….

Stamps: Background Builders: Hearts, The Birds & The Bees (WPlus9)

Product Feature- Wrinkle Ribbon

If you are one to blog hop, you know that wrinkle ribbon is all the rage these days. There are so many fabulous colors, and it’s quite inexpensive. I have purchased from a few sellers, but there is one that truly stands out from all the rest. I happened upon PrairieBirdBoutique through Etsy and have had nothing but praise for this sweet seller.
This was my first purchase. These colors are PERFECT for the cards I have planned for the Autumn months. Love each and every one of these!
I have been playing with blues lately, so I couldn’t resist purchasing this bundle. These ribbons are truly irresistible, and they are so easy to use!
I couldn’t help but purchase this last bundle. Seriously, I love this pink one- it’s so luscious! Also love the dark chocolate brown- it matches so many things!
I don’t often post features on products, but when I do, you know that I truly love the product. Please know, I am in no way getting reimbursed for writing this post- it all just comes from the heart. :) Be sure to stop by PrairieBirdBoutique and look at all her fabulous ribbons. If you purchase any, please let her know that Paulina from PrettyPinkPosh sent you!
Happy Shopping! :)

Polka Dots Galore

It’s no secret, I love polka dots. They can almost always be found on my cards, but they also appear on my clothes, nails and accessories. What can I say, they add character and personality to everything! This card is no exception….

It’s been quite a while since I pulled out this adorable Dotty Tree Birds stamp. Did you notice that even the trunk on the tree has polka dots? I think that’s what I love most about this stamp. However, I love those little birds too! I brought out my newly purchased die from Taylored Expressions (love it!) and went to town. Oh yes, and I couldn’t resist using more of my wrinkled ribbon!

Lately I’ve been getting better about using some of my “older” stamps. I recently cleared out some items that I haven’t been using. (See “items for sale” section at the top of my blog.) There is still a lot that I need to sort through, but I’m definitely making progress! :)

It’s been so nice to post regularly to the blog, and also have time to blog hop! Somehow lots of the blogs I used to follow have disappeared….must find some new ones! If you have any crafty blogs that you really love, I’d love to check them out!

Hope you all have a great Sunday! Big hugs!

Friend Blend

I have been blessed with many wonderful friends- both ones I interact with often and others that I have come to know via blogging. I want to dedicate this post (and card) to all of my friends, however; I’m going to highlight a certain few on this post.

Kalyn-
You have been my friend since for quite a long time- my whole life! :) We have shared so many memories together over the years: blueberry picking, SPUD, doing crazy things after midnight, having late night therapy sessions…. I’m so glad that we have remained friends, and I truly value our sweet and unique friendship.
Ginny
You are truly one of a kind. I love that I got you into blogging and made crafting a huge part of your life. (Yes, I will take the blame.) It’s been so neat to see your creativity blossom, and also your blog following. You are so creative and I know lots more exciting things are in store for you!

Dawn
You have inspired me beyond words ever since I learned of your company. I have loved the small email interactions we have shared, but I truly treasure the dinner we had before the CHA show. You, my dear friend, are so very talented and I want to wish you all the success in the world with your stamp line.

Lindsay
I am so happy that we were able to meet in real life. You are such a doll! Each and every one of your blog comments put a smile on my face. I don’t know how our paths crossed in blog world, but I’m so glad that they did! Keep on being your smiley, creative self!

Those are the people I wanted to highlight in this post. If I had the time, I would write about so many more friends….perhaps I’ll do that in another post in the future. :)

Have a WONDERFUL weekend! For those who missed my post yesterday, I did one with my CHA pictures! Be sure to check those out!

Stamps: Polka Dot Basics, Tea for Two Additions (PTI)
Paper: White, Dark Chocolate, Simply Chartreuse, Raspberry Fizz, Bitty Dot Basics (PTI)

CHA Pics

It’s hard to believe that the CHA SuperShow was already a week ago! I was hoping to get these pictures up a lot sooner, but life and work got super hectic. I must start of this post by saying the highlight of the weekend was meeting crafty blog friends. Upon looking at my pictures, I realized I really didn’t take many. :( I was so busy enjoying my time with everyone, I didn’t want to stop talking to take a picture!
On Thursday, the day of set-up, we woke up early so we could be one of the first ones there. It’s always nice to bring your things to your booth without all the machinery and people around. Since we are pros at setting up our booth, we got it done in a few hours. However, we had to wait for quite a while since some of our merchandise got delayed due to weather. Oh goodness, I was so tempted to go find these boxes myself….we finally got them (two days later than scheduled) and were able to stock up our merchandise. :)
Do you see all the boards hanging up with cards on them? I created every single one of those cards! It was so neat to see all my hard work displayed. Thank you to all who complimented them- I really appreciated those sweet words! :)
After set-up, I had the great privilege of having dinner with Courtney, Dawn and Kerrianne. We went to a cute Italian restaurant, Harry Caray’s. These ladies are so much fun- we talked for hours, but we could have spent so much more time there! It was awesome talking blogging, crafting and getting to know them on a personal basis. (Kerrianne & Dawn have more pics- be sure to visit their blogs!)
Here is the picture I took with Dawn McVey right before the doors opened on Friday. This girlie is just as sweet as she seems on her blog!
I couldn’t pass up a picture with Nichole from Papertrey. She was very, very sweet. It was so neat to talk with her!
Here is a picture with fellow DeNami DT member, Laurie. After corresponding for months, it was so nice to meet her! She is such a doll, and her daughter, Beth was super nice too! I had such a great time getting to know both of them.
It was so lovely to see Ashley Cannon Newell again. I have to say, she is one of the most fashionable people I know. Every single time I see her, she is wearing the cutest clothes! She brought along her husband, Mac, who is super nice. They make the cutest couple ever!
For those who follow my blog, you know that I love my WPlus9 stamps. Here’s a picture with Dawn, owner and designer, of this great line. She is so down to earth (and funny!), I connected with her really well via emails, but in person, we connected even more! Love this girl!
Here is a picture with the sweet Kerrianne. This girl made me laugh constantly- dinner the night before, was FILLED with lots of laughter. Side note: this girl knows how to do make-up! I need her to come teach me some tricks…..
It was so great to see Kelly Marie again! I was able to meet her at the CHA Winter show, so it was neat to reconnect with her again. Kelly is so very sweet- her blog posts are just a small reflection of her sunshine personality. :)
Lastly, here is a picture with Lindsay. This girlie always leaves me the SWEETEST comments- her comments always brighten my day! It was so exciting when she came up to me- she is so bubbly and adorable!
I hope you didn’t fall asleep…this was a long blog post! I hope that I get to see these girlies again- maybe the CHA Winter Supershow? ;) If you ever have the chance to attend one of these shows, it’s such a blast. You’ll love meeting blog friends, and of course, there’s lots of shopping too!
Have a great Friday! I’ll be back soon with a new card- boy, was it nice to get back to stamping!

DeNami Product Challenge #3

Hello, sweet blog friends!

It’s the 5th of the month, which means it’s time for a new DeNami Design challenge! This time around the challenge is to use GLITTER. If you know me, you know I love bling- can’t get enough rhinestones, glitter or shimmer paper!

For this card, I wanted to showcase the beautiful new Elegant Floral stamp set. I love how easy it is to create backgrounds with these images! In real life, this card is very, very sparkly. I added Blue Ice glitter to all of the blossoms- super pretty! To top of the card I did my fancy bow (video tutorial can be found here), then added a Lime Boutique Button. Did you notice the fun color combination? I’m so lovin’ blues and green together recently!

I hope you’ll be able to join along in this challenge! You have 10 days to play along, and there is a fun prize to be won! Head on over to the DeNami Design blog for all the details!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope you were inspired!
