A Guide to Using Sew Easy
Last month I celebrated my 25th birthday. You may remember that my bestie went all out for me (click here to view the recap). On top of a very special night, she gave me the Sew Easy roller and an additional adapter. I hadn’t told anyone that I had been eying this tool, but she just knew that I would want it. Love that my bestie knows me so well!
Recently I went to my local scrapbook store and spotted their Sew Easy display. I grabbed some basic thread, additional needles and the piercing mat, and I was good to go. SO thrilled that all of these things are reasonably priced!
After looking at all the supplies, I figured it would be the perfect time to do a photo tutorial. Granted, while it’s actually quite easy to use this product, it’s always handy to have step-by-step pictures, right? Only a few steps and you can have some amazing stitching on YOUR projects!
Items shown:
- Sew Easy Roller
- Sew Easy Zigzag Adapter
- Sew Easy Piercing Mat
- Sew Easy thread
- Sew Easy needles
{Gather supplies}
{Lay down cardstock; apply roller where stitching is desired}
{Thread needle and create knot; start stitching!}
{After stitching is completed in one direction, stitch other direction}
{After stitching is completed, tie knot and/or apply adhesive to secure thread}
{Here is the back of the packaging- look at all the different designs available!}
{Back of handle opens so you can store your needles}
Easy, peasy! Lately I have been utterly obsessed with using this tool on my projects. You’ll see a few of the things I’ve created next week. :)
If you enjoy the stitched look, but are intimidated by the sewing maching (like I am), this is the perfect solution!
Thanks for stopping by- I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
Oh my heck, I want it! I have been wondering how all of these beautifully stitched cards have been made and I have asked and all I hear is crickets… like I am the only one who doesn’t know how to do it! I probably am the only one who doesn’t know… I just figured people whip out their sewing machines!
Thank for sharing!
I’m so glad you showed this! I’ll admit that I’ve had one for nearly 6 months with an additional adapter, mat and threads. However, it’s all still in it’s packaging…I know, I know, but seriously, I thought it wouldn’t be so easy! Now I’m going to break mine out and give it a go! THANK YOU!! :)
Ohh btw, where did you get your little pad…mine’s about 18″ long and is way overkill for card making! :) Great tutorial!
Tina, I got mine at my local scrapbook store. They had the big mat, but since the smaller was cheaper (and I didn’t know if I would like the tool), I went with the small one. I wonder if they have them at Michael’s or JoAnn’s?
Thanks, I will deffinately have to check that out! I know Hobby Lobby only carries the big one (hence me getting tht one). Not sure I’m up for another trip to Joann’s, lol…look what happened last weekend! ;) hahaha
I love my Sew Easy tool too :) Stitching on a card is so pretty, but I’m intimidated by sewing. I have it in my head that I can’t do it lol
I like the small mat you have, perfect for cards! I bought the original one and it’s really too big for what I need. It would be great for scrapbookers though. :)
Thanks for this, I have been intreguied by this product and would love to add sewing without buying a machine to my products, so I would love to see more of these! Thanks so much!
Lisa

What a great tutorial! Can Denami start carrying these? *hopeful look* LOL
