Day 2: January Blog Hop + New Release Now Available

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE

Hello! It’s Lindsey here. Sometimes I make a project that I am absolutely giddy about. This is one of them! :) I love St. Patrick’s Day. It reminds me of my Irish grandmother who I absolutely adored. I don’t have very many decorations to celebrate the holiday, though. When I saw the big Shamrock Shaker die, I knew it would make a fabulous garland. And I have to say, I’m pretty smitten with the result.

This project comes together super quickly, so I hope you’ll give it a try. All you need is one die – the Shamrock Shaker

There are a couple things that make the Shamrock Shaker Dies perfect for this project: they are large in scale and symmetrical. Because of the large size, it only took 14 shamrocks to stretch across my shelf. (This would fit across my fireplace mantle as well, but at the time I made it, I had Christmas Stockings hanging. Lol.)

After cutting 14 solid white shamrocks, I cut 3 colored inner portions for each shamrock, so 81 pieces total. You could certainly layer more pieces, but 3 made it full enough for my liking. I adhered one colored layer to the white shamrock, then scored the other two down the middle (which was 1.5″).

Next, I folded both shamrock centers down the middle, layered them on top of each other, and put glue down the spine. Then, I placed them in the center of my shamrock and held them until the glue dried.  You could use any glue of choice, but I used hot glue because it dries quickly and has a strong bond. It also helps hold the shamrock centers in a permanent fanned position.

The process goes really quickly if you streamline it and do all the scoring then all the gluing.

Finally, I arranged the shamrocks in rainbow order and adhered them to a white string.

Ta-da!  Isn’t it fun?  Here is one last view closer up.

I hope I’ve inspired you to create something today.  You could also use the new Stitched Hearts Dies to make a Valentine’s version of this if that’s more your thing. For that matter, you could make a garland for each season using Pretty Pink Posh’s Stitched Pumpkins, Pine Tree Dies, etc.  Just choose a die that is symmetrical, and you are good to go.

Day 1: January Blog Hop + New Release Now Available

The January 2024 Release is now available in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop and select retailers that carry our products. If you missed our post yesterday, we revealed all of the products in picture form, but if you would like to see them in a video, Mindy has that for you today!

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

Hello everyone, June here! Today I’m back to share a project with the brand new Valentine’s Day products.

When I saw the new release, my eye instantly went to the Heart Cover Plate die, so I just had to make a card with it right away! I used Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide to make a faded background. After that I splatted some Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide and some thinned out white acrylic paint to add some detail.

I cut some acetate to size and glued it onto my card panel. I adhered it with some thick foam tape and divided it into 6 separate windows for my shaker bits. I decided to go for the Valentine Hearts because those were my favorite from the new release. I backed it with a simple white panel.

I thought it would be cute to have a small image to fill each frame, and the Sweet Chocolates stamps were perfect for that because of their size. I stamped them in brown ink to make them appear a bit softer. I decided to go for browns, pinks and yellows as a color palette.

I’m always so happy when I see a scripted sentiment in a set, so you just know I had to go for the one that’s included in Sweet Chocolates. I stamped it with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide and finished off the sentiment with the rest of the phrase in the set. I also decided to add the ‘xoxo’ from the Sentiment Strips Valentine

PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. We are giving away 3 $30 gift certificates to three random comments (1 winner each day) left before January 11, 2024 at 11:59 PM PST. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners.

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Dies

Good morning! It’s Lindsey here, and I’m super excited to give you a peek of some of the amazing new dies releasing this month. There is lots of Valentine’s and St. Patrick’s Day goodness, but many things that you can reach for all year.

New release will be available January 3rd

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Dies

My first card features five new die sets. The stars of the show are the new Stitched Hearts Dies. This set has such a great variety of sizes and patterns. I die cut them in several shades of pink and purple and blended ink on the edges.

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Dies

Then I used words from the new Elegant Banner Heart Dies to turn them into conversation hearts.  Because the letters cut individually I was even able to create a few words of my own.

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Dies

I mounted them all the hearts on a card base cut with the new Pierced Hearts Die. (I love it and know I will reach for it often!) I also added a few tiny white hearts from the XOXO Border Die. After splattering on some white paint, I was ready to add the new Be Mine Shadow Die for my sentiment. Hooray for more dies in this line-up! I love their larger size and that I can use them separate or layered.

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Dies

Next up is a card that has had me smiling for a month. My Irish grandmother made St. Patrick’s Day a really special day for my family, so I was thrilled to see Pretty Pink Posh create some more St. Patrick’s Day products.  I started by covering my card base with Stitched Shamrocks. Like the Stitched Hearts, they come in a variety of sizes and cute patterns.

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Dies

Next I created this fabulous cupcake. I’m pretty sure I squealed when I saw the Big Valentine Cupcake Dies. The size is perfect, and I know it is going to be a staple for me. It is big enough to be the focal point on a card or to be a tag, and I’m pretty sure everyone I know will be getting cupcake tags on their birthday gifts this year.

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Dies

After I pieced together the cupcake, I added glitter and sprinkles using the new Lucky Day Shaker Beads and St. Patrick’s Day Mix Confetti. Then I topped it with a glittery shamrock (the smallest die in the Stitched Shamrocks set).

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Dies

I finished my card with a two-part sentiment using the new Lucky Shadow Dies and a sentiment from the Lucky stamp set that I embossed on a Sentiment Strip Die. I’m looking forward to using this sentiment combo all year.  There are many people I feel blessed to know. :)

Thanks so much for joining me today! This release is packed with dies, so even though I’ve used a bunch on my cards today, there are even more to get excited about!

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Stencils

Hi, friends! It’s Lauren and I am so excited to be sharing a sneak peek at two of the new stencils that will be released. It was hard to pick which two to create with first, but I absolutely love the new Half Hearts Stencils and Layered Shamrocks Stencils so here are two cards with these stencil sets to inspire you today!

New release will be available January 3rd

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Stencils

For the first, heart-filled card, I used the Half Hearts Stencils on a light pink cardstock and used the (A) stencil with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide. For the (B) stencil, I added Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide for the larger hearts and Game Over Lunar Paste for the smaller hearts. Once the background was dry, I used the largest Eyelet Rectangle Die to cut it down to fit on my A2 card base.

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Stencils

The base has a silver shimmer cardstock, the stenciled background is popped up with foam adhesive and then I added some die cut hearts from the new Stitched Hearts Dies and a sentiment using the Sentiment Strip Dies and the new Sentiment Strips: Valentine Stamp Set.

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Stencils

Switching color schemes, let’s move on to the lucky shaker card! I used the Layered Shamrock Stencils on light grey cardstock and started with the (A) stencil and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide. Then I inked the (B) stencil with Ripe Mango Cloud 9 Interference Ink. I added a little bit of gold watercolor splatter to really make the background shine!

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Stencils

When it was dry, I used the largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die to cut it out and layered it onto a green cardstock with foam adhesive that was adhered to an A2 card base. I made a shaker with the new Shamrock Shaker Dies, St. Patrick’s Day Mix, and Lucky Day Shaker Beads. After assembling the shaker onto the card, I also added a Hot Foil – Lucky sentiment with gold foil onto yellow cardstock and cut it with the Lucky Shadow Dies.

Sneak Peek: January 2024 Stencils

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek of the new Half Hearts Stencils and Layered Shamrocks Stencils. I hope you’re excited for this new release just as I was to receive these stencils to give you inspiration today!

Sneak Peek: St. Patrick’s Day Products

Hello, Gemma here today and I’m excited to share a sneak peek of the new Lucky stamp set along with some of the other St Patrick’s Day products from the upcoming January release.

New release will be available January 3rd

Sneak Peek: St. Patrick's Day Products

For my first card, I used images from new Lucky stamp set to create a fun background pattern. All the images are coloured with copic markers, and I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Sneak Peek: St. Patrick's Day Products

Before adhering the images to my A2 card base, I die cut the new Lucky Shadow Die from gold glitter card. I’m just using the scripty word layer from the die set on this card, but there’s a shadow layer included too. I added a couple of layers behind it for dimension.

Copic colours:

Clover: G14 G07; Horseshoe: Y13-15; Coins: Y15-17; Stars: Y13; Hat: G14 G07 G17 N5-7 Y15; Pot of Gold: N5-7 Y15-17; Rainbow: R85 YR14 Y13 BG000

Sneak Peek: St. Patrick's Day Products

To complete the sentiment, I stamped a greeting from the new Lucky stamp set above. I then arranged and adhered the images around the card to create the colourful background pattern.

My second card features the new Shamrock Shaker die, Layered Shamrocks stencil set, the Lucky Charms clay confetti mix, and the Hot Foil Lucky plate.

Sneak Peek: St. Patrick's Day Products

I created the background using the Layered Shamrocks stencil set. There are 2 layers and I used Lucky Clover distress oxide ink and Nuvo Golden Era Glacier Paste.

Sneak Peek: St. Patrick's Day Products

Next, I die cut the main die with the inner frame of the Shamrock Shaker from green glitter card, along with several layers of green card to build up the walls of my shaker. I then removed the inner frame die and used just the main die to cut an acetate piece and a back panel.

I added some of the fun Lucky Charms clay confetti mix before sealing closed my Shamrock Shaker.

Sneak Peek: St. Patrick's Day Products

Before adhering my stenciled panel to an A2 card base, I wrapped a piece of vellum horizontally across the centre and secured at the back of the panel. The vellum helps to soften the background where the Shamrock Shaker will sit.

Sneak Peek: St. Patrick's Day Products

For the sentiment, I foiled the new Hot Foil Lucky plate with Speckled Aura glimmer foil. I used the Lucky Shadow Die to cut it out and added a couple of layers for dimension. I adhered this across my shaker to finish.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed my cards. Come back tomorrow for another look at the upcoming release!

Sneak Peek: Valentine Train

Hi, friends! It’s Lauren and I am so excited to be sharing a little peek at an adorable new Valentine’s Day set, Valentine Train stamp set and coordinating dies. These are going to be perfect for the upcoming holiday, but I love that there is an empty train car to decorate for any holiday or maybe a baby card!

New release will be available January 3rd

I started with stamping my Valentine Train stamp set images on white cardstock with alcohol marker friendly black ink. My images are colored in with red, pinks and soft purple Ohuhu Art Honolulu Alcohol Markers. I used the Valentine Train coordinating dies to cut the images out.

For this card, I wanted the train to be my main focus, so I decided to do a subtle, tone on tone background. I started with trimming a piece of white cardstock to 4×5.25” and die cut the XOXO Border Die five times from another piece of white cardstock. I glued them down to create an offset pattern and trimmed off the excess from the edges.

This was then glued to the center of an A2 card base, also in white cardstock. Next I cut a Sentiment Strip Die out of white cardstock and used the same soft purple markers to color the paper and stamped “Loads of Love” as the sentiment for the card. I added my Valentine Train images and sentiment to my card with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek of the new Valentine Train stamp set and coordinating dies; you’re absolutely going to love the rest of the release. So many great new products for the upcoming holidays!

Sneak Peek: Sweet Chocolates + Valentine Cupcakes

Hello crafty friends, Arsenia here! I’m thrilled to share these sneak peeks using the new Valentine Cupcakes and Sweet Chocolates stamp sets

I’ll be sharing two color palettes today one is nontraditional colors for Valentines, and one is basically an iconic color palette for Valentines. I had so much fun making these beauties, both sets coordinate well together. I absolutely adore these products, let’s get started!

New release will be available January 3rd

For my first card I stamped and colored the images from the new Valentine Cupcakes stamps with Olo alcohol markers using an array of fuchsia and blue colors, not your typical Valentine color palette.  I did add a few elements of red but overall fuchsia, blue, and a light pink are the main colors.

For my background I used the new Half Heart 2-layer stencil, it’s a beauty! I used die inks for the blending in bright blues and fuchsias. I was determined to use the Eyelet Rectangles Dies from the most recent release on my project, these dies are a favorite of mine. I cut the large Eyelet rectangle out of white glitter cardstock and cut my stenciled panel down to nestle it on to the large Eyelet Rectangle die. I needed a resting place for the cupcakes, I decided to use the new Eyelet Hearts Dies! I cut the large heart in velum and a smaller one from white glitter cardstock.

I adhered the elements to my card base and decided to add a few embellishments. I used the new Colorful Heart Clay Confetti, specifically the blue hearts. I added a few highlights with my white gel pen and embellishments are done!

The next and final step was the sentiment. Oh yes, I did…I used another new product from the release called Elegant Banner Heart! It’s a gorgeous set of dies and sentiments are perfecto for Valentines and basically anytime of the year. I glued the letters from the Elegant Banner Heart dies to classic die called Stacked Edges 1 Dies. I finished the sentiment off with a royal blue bow from the Holiday Mug Additions Dies and a few more of the Colorful Heart Clay Confetti, ta-da all done!

Now onto my second card using the super cute Sweet Chocolates Stamps and Dies! I stamped and colored the images with an array of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers in pinks and reds. For the background I used the new Half Heart 2-layer stencil, but I stenciled the hearts in one solid color using pink and red die inks.   I added some black splatters to the top left and bottom right of the background panel. I decided to use the negative piece from cutting the large Eyelet Rectangle Die out of a A2 card base. I adhered it to the background panel with liquid glue.

Next, I realized I needed a resting place for the stamped die cut images and once again I decided to use the new Eyelet Hearts Dies. I die cut the large Eyelet Heart out of white cardstock. I adhered the large Eyelet Heart Die onto my panel with double sided adhesive foam tape. I arranged the elements onto the heart and decided to add the adorable doggie cupcake from the new Valentine Cupcakes Stamps with coordinating dies!

The final step was the sentiment and that was easy-peasy, I used the cute sentiment from the Sweet Chocolates stamps and dies. I love a good white embossed sentiment on black cardstock! The final step was adding a bow to the top of the heart using the Holiday Mug Additions Dies and white gel pen highlights.  Ta-da this beauty is done, and I think it’s stinkin’ adorable!

Friends, the release is phenomenal and is full of gorgeousness, everything works so well together!  I want to thank you for stopping by and stay tuned for more fabulous sneak peeks!

Crafty hugs!

Sneak Peek: Decorative Hearts

Hello everyone! This is Melissa and I’m here to share a sneak peek post made with the adorable Decorative Hearts stamps and coordinating dies that will be released soon.

New release will be available January 3rd

Did you know that Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday to create for?  Something about hearts and the colorful shades of reds and pinks that really inspire me and the Decorative Hearts stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh has certainly jumpstarted my creativity.

I’ve used the new Pierced Hearts die to create my card base and then stamped Decorative Hearts in reds and pinks in each empty heart space left by the Pierced Hearts die.  I spritzed my stamped surface with a bit of water and added red splatters using my Distress Spray.

I then die cut three hearts of different sizes using the adorable, new Eyelet Hearts dies. These layered hearts provided the perfect space for my “XOXO” die cut that is from the Decorative Hearts die set.  I added a secondary sentiment on a layered die cut Decorative Heart near the upper corner.

My next card uses a row of these sweet Decorative Hearts lined up down the edge of my card.  They look adorable layered over die cut Eyelet Hearts, don’t they?  They are truly the perfect fit for each other!

In the background I have used the new Valentine Words Stencils, first using ink in a soft pink and then going over them with Nuvo Moonstone Glitter Paste.  They look dazzling all sparkly and shimmering.

My darling die cut sentiment was cut using the new Be Mine Shadow dies…I adore these!  And, I am smitten with all of the new Pretty Pink Posh products coming out this month. I think you’ll love them too! Come back tomorrow for another sneak peek!

Happy New Year’s Card + Video

Hi, friends! It’s Lauren and I am back with a new video to celebrate the upcoming New Year! It’s hard to believe we’re moving into 2024 and I’m so excited to continue sharing inspiration with Pretty Pink Posh products with you.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

After gathering some colored cardstock, I added an A2 piece of dark green cardstock to my card base. I used the largest Eyelet Rectangle Die to cut a piece of dark blue cardstock and adhered it to the center of the card base.

Happy New Year's Card + Video

The next layer is a piece of cream cardstock and I stenciled Distress Oxides in Aged Mahogany, Tattered Rose and Victorian Velvet with the Layered Music Notes stencils. I splattered on some champagne gold watercolor to give it some shine and when it dried, I used the second largest Stitched Torn Rectangle Die to cut it out. Before attaching this piece to my card base with foam adhesive, I embossed the “Happy New Year” sentiment in gold from the Happy New Year stamp set.

Happy New Year's Card + Video

Using the Happy New Year stamp set and Balloon Numbers stamp set, I stamped my images with an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used Ohuhu Art Markers to color my images; you can watch the video today to see the colors I used as well as how I added some white colored pencil and glitter markers to turn my balloons into mylar balloons! I used the Happy New Year coordinating dies and Balloon Numbers coordinating dies to cut out the images.

Happy New Year's Card + Video

My balloons were added to the card base with liquid adhesive and I layered on the champagne bottle, champagne glasses and party horn with foam adhesive. For some final touches, I added sequins from the Matte Gold Confetti Mix around the card.

I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday season and I wish you a Happy New Year!
