Halloween Bat Shaker + Video

Hello friends. It’s Lisa Mears on the blog today. I’m sharing a fun bat shaker card featuring products from Pretty Pink Posh’s new Halloween release!

My card features the Bat Shaker dies along with a vibrant stenciled background created with Distress Oxide inks and the Halloween Words stencil.

For the stenciled background, I added Distress Oxide inks to an A2 size (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) card panel. I added the inks randomly on the card panel. The inks I used were: Carved Pumpkin, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, and Wilted Violet. After inking the background, I placed the Halloween Words Stencil on top and used Black Soot ink for the words.

Next, I used the Ranger Distress Sprayer to spritz the background with water and I used a paper towel to pull up some of the ink which leaves a fun, textured effect to the background. I used a Scrapbook.com White Lustre brush to flick white ink onto the background.

For the bat, I used the Bat Shaker die set. To add some sparkle to the bat, I used the Scrapbook.com Rainbow Glitter paper. I also used the Spooktacular Mix for the clay confetti inside of the bat.

I used the Sentiment Strips: Halloween stamp set for the sentiment and used the coordinating dies to cut out the sentiment.

I die cut the largest Eyelet Rectangle die with glitter paper and layered it behind the stenciled background. I cut the stenciled cardstock down to fit inside of the rectangle.

Have a spooktacular day!
Lisa Mears
