Thanksgiving Theme Week- Day 4

Hi friends, Jeanne here! Fall is in the air and Thanksgiving is only a month away! It’s time to reflect on the blessings in our lives. I’m so thankful for you, for all the love and kindness you’ve shared with me. I’m blessed that our love for making has brought us together and want you to know I appreciate you.

I hope you’re enjoying the Thanksgiving Theme Week projects and getting ideas for your own creations! Pretty Pink Posh has so many great Thanksgiving images (stamps and dies) that the hardest part for me today was choosing what products to work with.  I’ve decided to mix a bit of the old with the new on my two cards.

I’m smitten with the Happy Turkey! I thought he’d look magnificent with a colorful Autumn Wreath behind him! He looks so proud like a peacock!

My card base is a blend of Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron Distress Inks applied with a stencil brush for a smooth finish. The panel was splattered and then inked with the Happy Thanksgiving Sentiment from Giving Thanks.

All of the images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers. The die cut wreath was used to create a shaker. The shaker is filled with Aquamarine sequins (to coordinate with the inked background) and Sparkling Clear sequins (for shine).

My second card features the Fall Scene stamp. It fits perfectly inside the smaller die in the Scallop Frame set.

I layered the framed scene inside the Stitched Notes die cut so there are three rows of stitches along the outer edge of the card.

The corner of the frame is adorned with die cut Autumn Wreath leaves and a cute little acorn. A few Amethyst Jewels define the raised framed image, and add sparkle and shine. They’re my favorite embellishment!

You’ll love embellishing all your holiday projects with these sweet images! And what a great time to buy when you can save 15% on all the Thanksgiving items in the store.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired and we’ll see you tomorrow.

Thanksgiving Theme Week- Day 3

Hello crafty friends! It’s Yoonsun here today and I have a couple of Autumn-themed cards using some new and old goodies!

Pretty Pink Posh has 15% off items in the Thanksgiving section!

I started by stamping adorable image from the Fall Scene set on watercolor paper panel using black dye ink. I then colored it with polychromos colored pencils. I also stamped Autumn greetings from the Autumn Wreath set in black.

For the top right corner of the panel, I die cut several autumn leaves from a separate watercolor paper using the Small Stitched Foliage dies, adhered them on the panel using glue pen. I ink blended with Autumn colored Distress inks, and then lightly brushed over that with clean water.

For my second card, I used the Pumpkin Patch Critters stamp set along with other old goodies. I stamped & watercolored cute pumpkin patch critters, then die cut them with the Pumpkin Patch Critters coordinating dies.

For the circle shaker window, I die cut Scallop Circles from orange card stock 1 time, white paper 4 times, stacked white circle die cuts up using fine tip glue pen. I then adhered acetate sheet to the back of the orange circle die cut.

I inked on the white card base using Spiced Marmalade Distress ink, and then adhered thick white scallop circle die cut on the card front, added several autumn-colored beads (Woodlands seed beads, Raspberry seed beads, Gold Shimmer seed beads) in the circle window. I then covered it with orange circle panel.

Thank you for stopping by! Join us tomorrow for another day of Thanksgiving Theme Week!

The theme today is quick cards and videos so Justine created a quick card and showed off how she embosses die cuts to make fun backgrounds! The background uses the Fall Tags dies randomly all over. The card is then topped off with the Thanks Leaf Shaker die in a stunning gold to make it pop!

Sometimes white gets a little bit washed out so by switching up the colours and filling in the negative space of the dies with some red cardstock, truly makes an entirely new and fresh looking card. Thanks for watching and supporting the Save the YouTuber event!

Thanksgiving Theme Week- Day 1

Welcome everyone! It’s Mindy here today and it’s Thanksgiving Theme Week. I’m kicking it off with two cards featuring some new and old sets!

If you don’t own any of these sets yet you’re in luck!  Pretty Pink Posh has 15% off items in the Thanksgiving section!

My first card is starting off combining Happy Turkey, Autumn Wreath and Giving Thanks stamp sets. My images are stamped on Neenah White cardstock with copic friendly and colored in with copic markers. I thought it would be fun to color some of the foliage with non-traditional colors. Then, I die cut them all out with the coordinating dies.

I die cut a window using the Window Frames die and layered all of my die cut images. This is then attached to an A2 card front that I created using some pattern paper from the Knit Picky Fall paper pack. I finished off the card with some gorgeous Espresso Jewels to tie in the browns from the card.

For my second card, I created my own background with the Stitched Foliage die set and opted for some non-traditional Fall colors as well. I used Apple Mint, Sea Glass, Peach Bellini and Sticky Note cardstock colors.

Keeping the card clean and simple, I stamped a sentiment onto white cardstock using the Giving Thanks stamp set and added some Sparkling Clear Jewels between the leaves.

I couldn’t resist adding a little sparkle to the leaves with my Nuvo Shimmer Pen. I hoped you enjoyed today’s cards and inspires you to combine some of your previous stamp sets with new ones!

Thank you for stopping by! Join us tomorrow for another day of Thanksgiving Theme Week!

Creating A Fall Jewel Background

Hi crafty friends, Eloise here and today I have a simple window card to share with you all using the Small Stitched Foliage Die Set as well as some jewels.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

To begin I die cut the Small Stitched Foliage from a square piece of white cardstock. I then used that piece as a mask to trace out the leaves on a card base, so I knew where to adhere the jewels. I picked four colours of jewels that I thought were the most fall like and used those to “colour” my leaves.

I laid down strips of thin adhesive and adhered down my jewels over each of the leaf shapes. I used all random sizes to get them to fit the best. I then added foam tape around the jewels and onto the back of my window die cut and adhered them down onto the card base.

Jewels Used: Shamrock, Marigold, Raspberry and Espresso

Lastly, I die cut the ‘Thankful For You’ die from black cardstock and adhered the ‘Thankful’ word over the centre of my panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired and I’ll see you soon.

Pretty Pink Posh + Glue Dots Collaboration Hop Day 2

Hello Pretty Pink Posh friends! Angelica here today with an adorable Halloween card featuring a combination of Pretty Pink Posh products and Glue Dots for Day 2 of our collaboration blog hop.

To create this card, I used Halloween Pals stamps and coordinating dies, as well as Halloween Friends stamps and dies. I also used several different sizes of Glue Dots to adhere everything together.

To begin, I made a background by ink-blending Distress and Distress Oxide inks. For the night sky, I used Black Soot and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. For the moon, I used Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks. I die cut the moon using the large Window Frames Dies. Next, I stamped out several characters from the Halloween sets, as well as grass from Darling Dragonflies stamp set, and used Copic Markers to color them. After Die-cutting them out, I used Glue Dots to put the night scene together. I used the ½-inch size for the moon, 1-inch glue lines for the grass, and 3/8-inch size for the characters.

I stamped the sentiment, then attached the card front to an A2 size card base. My final touch was adding small stars with a white gel pen.

Prizes: Each company has a prize pack to give away!

  • Glue Dots Prize Pack- An assortment of adhesives valued at $100!

Pretty Pink Posh + Glue Dots Collaboration Hop Day 1

A very big crafty hello and welcome to our very special blog hop collaboration with Pretty Pink Posh & Glue Dots! Marge here and I’m so happy to share my card with you for our fun and creative collaboration blog hop by Pretty Pink Posh and Glue Dots.

I started my card by stamping Autumn Wreath on a piece of kraft card stock using a pale gray colored dye ink to do no-line coloring. I then colored the images using copic markers and polychromo pencils. I stamped a turkey from Happy Turkey stamp set on another piece of kraft card stock and did the same no-line coloring.  After I had done my coloring, I added white gel pen details, and then I cut the turkey using Happy Turkey coordinating dies.

For sentiment tag, I stamped ‘autumn greetings’ from Pumpkin Patch Critters on dark brown card stock using Versamark Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with Wow Gold Rich Pale Embossing Powder, then I diecut it using one of Mini Tag Dies. I rounded brown colored baker’s twine around the lower part of the panel, let the thread come out through a tiny hole of the tag, then made a bow. The turkey and sentiment tag were adhered on the panel using foam adhesive for dimensional look as shown in the pictures.

Next, I used Glue Dots Tape Runner to adhere the panel onto a card base. I then adhered  Metallic Gold Jewels and Ivory Jewels as a final embellishments using 3mm Glue Dots Micro Adhesive which is very useful in adhering small sized jewels and sequins. I also found that Glue Dots Dispenser is very useful to keep Glue Dots Adhesive Rolls from sticking to other materials so the rolls can be stored neat and clean. It also helps you cut the roll piece  easily.

Prizes: Each company has a prize pack to give away!

  • Glue Dots Prize Pack- An assortment of adhesives valued at $100!
  • Pretty Pink Posh Prize Pack- An assortment of goodies up to the value of $75!

The only thing you need to do for a chance to win is leave a comment on each of the design team members blogs! Winners will be chosen at random from comments left on all blogs on the blog hop by 6:00 AM PST on October 23rd. Winners will be announced on the Pretty Pink Posh and Glue Dots blog.

Seasonal Happy Mail Cards + Video

Hello Pretty Pink Posh fans! This is Yana and today I have several seasonal cards to share featuring the Happy Mail stamp set. This is a smaller set that features an adorable mail box, a little bird carrying a letter, one additional letter image and two sentiment – Sending You Happy Mail and You’ve Got Mail. There are also coordinating dies available that will cut all of the images in this set out.

It’s a fun and playful set that can be used to create everyday cards. This set has also impressed me as an all year round set as I feel it works well for every season and can be adapted to just about any holiday. In this video I’ll show you how I used it along with other set from Pretty Pink Posh to create 4 cards for different seasons.

Watch my video tutorial below to learn how I made this card.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I stamped images I picked for my cards in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah 80lb cardstock and colored them using Copic markers. I used the following colors:

  • Reds: R39, RV29, R24, R22
  • White: C1
  • Greens: YG67, YG63 (I usually add a YG03 to this combo, but I need to refill it)
  • Teals: BG18, BG15, BG32
  • Orange: YR07, YR04, Y17

I cut all of my stamped images out in my Platinum die cutting machine and used to create 4 cards. See details for each below.

Everyday Floral Mailbox Card

I blended Maliblue ink from Simon Says Stamp to create a background and added splatter using Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer ink. Stamped “Sending You Happy Mail Sentiment” in black ink along with two branches from the Holiday Greetings set.

I foam mounted the mailbox and bird, embellished card using flowers and leaves from the Bold Blooms stamp set. Dressed the card up with the help of Sparkling Clear Jewels.

Fall Mailbox Card

I blended Orange Slush ink from Simon Says Stamp to create a background and added splatter using Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer ink. Stamped “Sending You Happy Mail Sentiment” in black ink along with two branches from the Holiday Greetings set.

Foam mounted the mailbox. I stamped, colored and cut out additional images – mushrooms from the Woodland Critters set, leaves from the Autumn Blooms set and used them to set a Fall scene. Dressed the card up with the help of Sparkling Clear Jewels.

Holiday Mailbox Card

Again, I blended the same Maliblue ink from Simon Says Stamp to create a background and added splatter using Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer ink. Stamped “Sending You Warm Winter Greetings”, I made sure to use sentiment that had a word “SENDING” in it as I think it associates well with the mailbox and letters.

I also used holly leaves instead of flowers and mushrooms I colored my bird as a Robin bird and colored some of the letters green to to with the Red, White and Green color combo. All of the additional images I used here came from the Holiday Greetings stamp set. Dressed the card up with the help of Sparkling Clear Jewels.

Valentine’s Day Mailbox Card

And last but not least I have a card for Valentine’s Day! Here I once again used lots of flowers (these are from the Bold Blooms set), but I also added two little cupids above the mailbox. They are shooting their arrows and sprinkling lots of hearts around. These images came from the Cupid Friends stamp set.

Conclusion

The Happy Mail stamp set can be easily incorporated into other seasons and occasions. If you swap flowers for easter eggs and add an easter bunny you can use it for an Easter card, Add more flowers and a Mother’s Day sentiment and you’ve got a card for mom and so on.

Have fun stamping, friends!

Creating A Happy Mail Scene

Hello, Gemma here today and I have a fun card featuring the Cuddly Cats stamp set, along with the Happy Mail stamp set.

I coloured all the images with copics, with the cats coloured like my own. The bird and mailbox images are from the Happy Mail stamp set. I cut out all the images with the coordinating dies.

Next, I worked on the background. I cut a piece of patterned paper, layering it on a white card base. I then die cut the Storybook 6 die from white card. I layered the frame onto the card, then used distress oxide inks in tumbled glass and mowed lawn to add colour to the Storybook pieces.

I stamped a greeting from the Everyday Greetings stamp set onto one of the panels, then adhered them onto the card.

I then added my images to the card with foam tape. I thought it would be cute to add one of the cats on top of the mailbox. It does make me giggle that it looks like she’s licking her lips, waiting for the bird to fly down!

I finished the card with some Pretty Pink Posh jewels in Pink Blush and Watermelon. They are always the perfect final touch.

I hope you enjoyed this card. There are lots of possibilities with these stamp sets!

Emboss Resisting with Distress Oxides

Today I am excited to announce we have Mindy Eggen joining us as a designer! Here is her first post + she has a video to go along with it!

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

My card today is doing a little ink blending to color in the beautiful Anemones stamp set. I start my card by stamping out the entire Anemones stamp set onto Bristol Smooth cardstock and heat embossing with Rose Gold Embossing Powder.

Using Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks, I ink blend my flowers to give them color. Then sprinkle on some Perfect Pearls to add a little shimmer. Using the coordinating dies, I die cut my flowers.

For my background, I also use a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and lightly ink blend Twisted Citron Distress Oxide in the middle making my way out towards the outer edges of the card panel.

My sentiment is from the Woodland Critters stamp set and stamped in Versafine ink. Then I can add my floral images, trim off any that overhang and add to an A2 size card panel. I finish off by adding some Sea Glass Jewels.

This is such a fun and easy way to color in your images! Thank you for joining me today!
