November Product Release Blog Hop- Day 1

Hi, everyone! It’s Marge here with you today and I’m going to share a watercolor poinsettia card featuring the New Release Products.

I started my card by stamping Poinsettias and Elegant Holly onto 140lb cold press watercolor paper using embossing ink, then heat embossed them in gold. I watercolored the images in red and green, then I die cut them all using Poinsettias Coordinating Dies and Elegant Holly Coordinating Dies. White acrylic ink was splattered onto the images to express snow.

To make a panel, I prepared A2 sized watercolor paper, masked four edges then I ink blended it using Distress Ink Antique Linen and Tea Dye. I splattered dark ink and metallic gold ink on the panel and let it dry. After I stamped a sentiment from Decorative Ornaments Stamp  on the lower part, I adhered my colored images using glue and foam tapes. Finally I foam mounted the panel onto red card base, then finished it off by adding some Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix and 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins.

Christmas Tag Inspiration

Hello friends… Angelica here, and I’m so excited to be part of the 25 Days Of Christmas Tags with Pretty Pink Posh. I made two shaker tags with products from the new release for this fun event.

To construct the shaker tags, I used coordinating heavyweight cardstock and acetate, as well as double-sided adhesive. I added the adhesive to the cardstock before die-cutting with the Ornament Shaker Die. I die-cut once with the adhesive on the backside, and once with the adhesive on the front side.

I snipped the word out of the ornament with adhesive on the front side, since this was going to be the backside of my see-through tag. I trimmed two pieces of acetate the same size as the ornaments. I attached the acetate to each cardstock side with adhesive. On the ornament for the front, I wrapped Darice Double-sided Foam Sticky Strips around the edge. I filled the window with Berry Bright Confetti Mix.

I carefully used my finger to make the confetti even height, then closed the window with the back ornament. I die cut a gold topper, and used liquid glue to attach it to the ornament.

For the blue ornament, I did the same steps, using Winter Days Confetti Mix in the window, and silver glitter paper for the topper.

These ornaments were quick to make. If you like making shaker cards, I definitely recommend giving this project a try. They’re a perfect touch for wrapped presents.

Simple Autumn Greeting Cards + Video

Hello Pretty Pink Posh’ fans! This is Yana Smakula and I’m thrilled to be sharing a set of easy to make Fall cards featuring Pumpkin Patch Critters stamps.

The Pumpkin Patch Critters stamp set features adorable critter peeking from behind various size pumpkins. I thought they would make a great focal point for simple, easy to make Fall greeting cards for family & friends.

I made 4 cards to create a set, all feature the same layout and supplies and are very easy to make – you just need a handful of things. I started working on these by stamping the sentiment “Autumn Greetings” in the center of 4 1⁄4 x 5 1⁄2” panels. Next, I stamped a pumpkin and critter above the sentiment in Copic-marker friendly ink.

Once my stamping was done I used Copic markers (as I consider them to be a quick and efficient way to color) to color. I used:

  • YR07, YR04, Y17 and Y15 for the pumpkins;
  • YG95 and YG99 to color stem of the pumpkins;
  • W3 and W 1 to color bunny and cat;
  • E79, E37, E33 and YR04 to color the fox and squirrel.

I wanted to add something else to my projects, so I decided I’d stamp tiny florals. I used the Bold Blooms stamp set for this. This is a smaller set with a bunch of beautiful flowers that work really great as little accents on cards. In my recent video, featuring the Happy Mail stamp set and seasonal Happy Mail cards, I used the same flowers to dress up a mail box and they made my cards that much more beautiful and complete.

I used the same marker colors here as before plus a few yellow makers – Y35 and Y13 and once I had all of these colored I used my coordinating dies and cut these out in my die cutting machine. I did keep some of the flowers almost white by coloring them using a W1 marker for a little bit of shading.

Next, I tied gold thread into a messy bow and adhered under the stamped pumpkins. My idea was to have gold thread sticking from behind the tiny floral cluster that I foam mounted on top.

Once everything was done I trimmed my panels down to 4” wide as the stamping seemed a bit off to me, so by trimming the panel I made sure the stamping was centered. I adhered my panels onto A2 light brown woodgrain card bases and used Metallic Gold Jewels to dress these cards up. Gold seems like the perfect option for Fall, it complements the warm Autumn colors beautifully.

I also added some subtle stamping onto some of the panels using yellow ink and images from the Holiday Greetings stamp set.

Distress Ink Poinsettias

Hello, it’s Mindy here with a new video. This release is over-the-top amazing! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring the Poinsettias stamp set. I also have created a video showing how I created it that you can watch down below.

I stamped all the images from this set onto Bristol Smooth cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. Then I ink blended Festive Berries and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks. For the leaves, I ink blended Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide which is such a gorgeous combo for leaves. Then I die cut using the coordinating dies.

I attached my flowers and leaves onto a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Fog Cardstock and trimmed off the over hanging pieces. I layered my card with White cardstock an Cherry Red cardstock for a base. The banner with my sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder onto Black cardstock using the Angel Friends stamp set. This banner is such a perfect way to add a sentiment.

I finished off the card by adding Silver Moondust Nuvo Drops to the centers of the flowers and some Jewels around the empty spaces. Have you seen the new jewel mixes? They are so gorgeous!

Merry Shaker Tree

Hi, there! It’s Marge today and I’m so happy to share with you a Christmas tree shaker card I made using the new release products. My card features  the Tree Shaker Die, Elegant Holly stamp set and Berry Bright Confetti Mix from the new release.

To begin, I cut a piece of gold mirror card stock with Tree Shaker Die and then I die cut white card stock again for front panel. I adhered an acetate film on the back of white panel and then I adhered Tree Shaker Die cut on the acetate film window using glue.

Next, I trimmed a sheet of pattern paper into 4.125 x 5.375 inches, which would be used as shaker background. I placed Berry Bright Confetti Mix and 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins on the pattern paper first, then I covered it with my shaker front panel using foam tapes.

After I assembled the shaker, I stamped solid images of  leaves and berries from Elegant Holly Stamps Set on white paper using various dye inks to give color gradient, then I used copic markers to add more shades on them. I die cut the images using Elegant Holly Coordinating Dies and  applied Multi Medium Matte on the surface, then coated with Distress Dry Glitter. When medium was dried I adhered leaves and berries on top of the shaker. Finally, I put the shaker on red card base, then I finished off the card by adding Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix.

I love that the Tree Shaker Die can be used to make quick and easy shaker cards or it could be used alone to create beautiful dimension on your cards. Have a wonderful day.

Gradient Backgrounds on Holiday Cards + Video

Hi friends, it’s Rina here today. I am loving the new holiday release from Pretty Pink Posh.  I have been obsessed with ink blending from light to dark so I thought I would play with the new release and try this technique out.

Today I am using the Penguin Pals and the oldie but goodie Happy Snowman stamp sets.  I am also using the latest script dies which are so beautiful.  I absolutely loved how they looked on my finished cards.  I used the Season’s Greetings Script and Happy Holidays Script dies.  I also had to try out the Pine Sprigs dies and they are so elegant and delicate.

Here are the copic marker colors I used:

Grays – N0, N1, N3, N5

Blues – B02, B04, B16

Reds – R20, R22, R24

Orange – YR02

I am also featuring the latest jewel releases in the Holiday Mix and Starry Sky Mix. The different sizes, shine and color added extra bling to my card along with the Spectrum Noir clear glitter brush pen.

The distress oxide ink colors I used to blend the blue card were Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Mermaid Lagoon.  The red card was blended with Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple.  I colored the Pine Sprigs die cuts with Peacock Feathers on both cards.

I cut a 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch panel and cut it twice using the Scallop Borders 2 dies to create hills.  I adhered them to my card base and arranged the images, pine springs and script die cuts.

November 2018 Release Now Available

The fabulous November release from Pretty Pink Posh includes a gorgeous Poinsettia stamp set. I love the floral sets from PPP as they are perfect for different colouring techniques.

I stamped my images with black ink and used my copic markers to colour them in. For the white flower, I used some neutral greys in N0 and N1, plus some YG01, which adds a hint of colour. I then die cut the images with the coordinating dies.

The Poinsettia stamp set includes leaves, but I decided to use some of the new Pine Sprigs dies on my card instead. I die cut them from white card and, before popping them out of the white card piece, I used my copics to add colour.

On my card base, I adhered a piece of red patterned paper. I then cut a piece of white card down, using one of the dies in the Scallop Borders 1 die set. On this panel, I embossed the greeting from the new Decorative Ornaments stamp set with gold embossing powder.

I added this panel to my card with foam tape. I used liquid glue to adhere the pine springs and the red poinsettias, then some foam tape for the larger white poinsettia.

I couldn’t resist embellishing the card with some Metallic Gold jewels for the centres of the flowers. This was a little fiddly but I love the effect. I also added some of jewels from the newly released Holiday Jewels Mix, which match the colours on this card perfectly.

Sneak Peek: Elegant Holly

Hello! This is Caly and I’m sharing a card using the brand new Elegant Holly stamp set along with the new Ornament Shaker die today. The images from the Elegant Holly set are beautiful by themselves, but I thought I would use them on my project today to adorn on an ornament.

I started by stamping the images on Neenah Solar White 80 lbs cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then I colored the images using various Copic markers and die cut them out using the coordinating Elegant Holly dies.  The following Copic combinations were used:  R05 and R29 for the reds, YG07, G03, and G09 for the greens.  I added white gel accents to the images and glossy accents over the berries and set them aside to work on my card front and shaker.

Yana has been making beautiful cards using colored cardstock lately and inspired me to make this one using a blue cardstock.  I started by die-cutting the Ornament Shaker towards the bottom 2/3 of the card front, knowing I would use my holly images towards the top of the ornament to decorate it.  I also cut the ornament cap using some gold glitter cardstock. After die-cutting, I carefully ink-blended some Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink around the ornament, stopping before I reached the ornament. Then I splattered the cardstock with some water droplets to remove ink to give the top panel more interest.

To create the shaker portion, I added a piece of transparent material that I cut from a storage pocket (that’s right, you don’t always have to use acetate).  I cut it down to size to adhere to the back of the shaker frame, then added 3M foam tape to hold the sequins and gems inside. I backed the ornament with some white glitter cardstock and glued down a few jewels from the new Holiday Jewels Mix. Then I filled the area with some Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix along with some sequins from the new Berry Bright Confetti Mix.  To assemble my card, I used a piece of gold thread and treaded it through the gold glitter ornament cap and started adhering the holly images around the ornament top.  I parted the gold thread a bit towards the top so you can see them better and held them in place using simple scotch tape on the backside before adhering the entire card front to a card base.

Sneak Peek: Penguin Pals

Hello Pretty Pink Posh fans, Alix here sharing a sneak peak of this wonderful stamp set in our coming November release called Penguin Pals. I am so so in love with it as you could tell I made total of 3 cards to introduce it to you along with other new goodies!

I stamped all images from the Penguin Pals onto Copic friendly cardstock paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut them with the Penguin Pals coordinating dies. Then I cut my background panel from a piece of watercolor paper and colored with watercolor paints in Indigo and Quinacridone Pink blended together. Once the top surface was dried, I flicked white paint over it to create starry night effect. I manually added some bigger dots and stars by drawing them with a white gel pen.

I cut paper pieces from Layered Tree Die and assembled them into my white Christmas tree. I then copic colored the star to decorate the tree top. After I placed the tree onto the background panel, I arranged all colored images from Penguin Pals to selected places.

Since my background was busy enough, I stamped sentiment “Merry wishes” onto a piece of black cardstock paper and cut it into rectangular shape. I finished my first card after to popping my sentiment out by adding a piece of Foam tape..

On to my second card, I got inspiration from some google searches. You can not go wrong with Black, Red, White and Blue color combo.

I started to ink blended  onto an A2 sized watercolor panel with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink in Tumbled Glass. Then I splattered white paint to create snow in the air. I needed to have some platform for penguins to stand on. So I cut the white border using the Scallop Borders 1 Dies. After attaching the border onto the lower part of panel, I glued some Glass glitters to create snow banks.

For the sentiment, I die cut Black and Red cardstock paper 3 times using Happy Holidays Script Die and glued them together to create better dimensions. Once it’s done, I attached it onto upper part of panel. At last, I added my cute penguins that I colored earlier and embellished the background with jewels from the Starry Sky Mix (new color from November release).

Pretty Pink Posh has the best shaker card supplements ever! How can I not make a shaker card?! 

This card came together fairly straight forward. I wanted this shaker window to be the focal point of the card. So I did not do any background color blending but cutting a piece of A2 sized panel from white woodgrain cardstock paper.

To create the shaker window, I used Ornament Shaker die and cut my frame from red cardstock paper. For the top part of this ornament, I went for white glitter cardstock paper instead to make it more interesting. I attached a piece of acetate paper right under the cut out frame and added foam stripe to create dimensions for me pouring some Winter Days Confetti Mix. Then i attached this ornament onto the background to seal the window. I simply added two colored ice-skating penguins to decorate this ornament.
