I created my card front with the Scallop Ovals, Hugs Shaker and Scallop Borders 2 die sets. The card front was inked with a combination of distress oxide ink colors in: Abandoned Coral/Antique Linen and Picked Raspberry/Old Paper.

Here are the copic markers used:

  • Gray – N1, NO
  • Light Orange – YR000, YR00, YR01
  • Pinks – RV00, RV02, RV11, RV13
  • Green – YG13, YG23
  • Light Brown – E30, E31

Embellishments use: Holiday Shimmer Mix, Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix, 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins, Silver Mini Stars, Metallic Silver Confetti

I love mixing and playing around with the different sizes and colors of the sequins, so this was a super fun project to do.

Embellishments use: Blush Seed Beads, Rose Pink Seed Beads, Gold Mini Stars, Iridescent Mini Stars, Sparkling Clear Confetti

I hope you enjoyed watching my shaker cards and give this a try. Thanks for stopping by!

Shimmer Powder Butterflies + Sale

Hi all, it’s Lindsay here on the blog today! I’m here to share a card using some of the new die cuts from the latest Pretty Pink Posh release. I’m using the Bold Butterflies Dies (which is 30% off this weekend!) and the Spring Frame Die as my main centerpieces along with a sentiment from the Spring Wreath Stamp Set.

To start, I created backgrounds using Nuvo Shimmer Powders on watercolor paper. For the yellow/orange butterfly I used Catherine Wheel and Solar Flare. For the purple butterfly I used Violet Brocade and Cherry Bomb, and for the blue butterfly I used Atlantis Burst and Blue Blitz. What’s so fun about these powders is that you get more than one color of powder in each bottle so you get a really organic mixing of colors when you add water to them.

After creating my backgrounds I let them fully dry overnight and then die cut the Bold Butterflies Dies out of the watercolor paper. I also cut the Spring Frame Die out of plain, white cardstock. I adhered the Spring Frame Die over my card base and arranged and adhered the Bold Butterflies Dies onto the card front. I felt that the colorful die cuts really stole the show so I just wanted to add in a small sentiment, which the “Spring Greetings” from the Spring Wreath Stamp Set was perfect for. I added the white heat embossed sentiment with a bit of foam tape and the card was complete!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, I hope you were inspired!

Spring Butterflies + Three Day Sale!

Hello friends, Eloise here and today I have a card featuring the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set along with the Bold Butterflies Dies (both are 30% off this weekend!), since they layer so nicely and then I brought in the Spring Frame Die since again, these products work so nicely together and it fit with the design of my card.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

To start off I cut out the Spring Frame Die and Bold Butterflies Dies from vellum and set them off to the side for later. I then used my MISTI to stamp out my butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies. I used a smaller and larger one since they layer the best and then I coloured them in with Copic Markers. I used a colour combo from Pinterest which is two shades of Pink, a green and blue to help colour these in as well. Once they were coloured in, I cut them out using the coordinating dies.

Copic Markers Used: R30, R81, R83, R85 / RV10, RV13, RV25, RV19 / YG01, YG03, YG07, YG09 / YG61, YG63, YG67, G28 / BG10, BG11, BG13, BG49 / C00, C0, C1, C3

Now that all my elements were ready to go, I added adhesive to the middle of the butterflies and adhered them on top of the vellum ones. For my background I water-coloured some stripes in coordinating colours and dried them off with a heat tool.

To finish up, I used the Stitched Notes Die Set and cut the frame from a piece of blue cardstock. I used the outer frame and added adhesive onto the back and adhered it to the vellum Spring Frame. I then added foam tape onto the back and adhered it over my water-coloured panel. I cut apart the ‘Flying By To Say Hello’ sentiment from Beautiful Butterflies and stamped that onto the background using my MISTI and black ink.

I adhered my butterflies into place and then scattered some Wisteria Blossoms Confetti Mix around the card.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed, and I’ll see you all next time.

Watercolor Spring Card

Hi, crafty friends! It’s Marge with you for today and I’m sharing a simple flower card I made using the popular Hummingbird Thanks set with the Crocus Flowers set.

I started by stamping Crocus Flowers (with masking technique) and a Hummingbird on watercolor paper with Antique Linen ink then I watercolored them very lightly. I cut the flowers freehand and hummingbird using Hummingbird Thanks Coordinating Dies and set them aside.

Next, I removed a pair the window pieces from Decorative Tags 2 Dies and ran it through my cutting machine to cut a tag which I really love the shape.

Then, I trimmed a piece of gray gingham paper little bit smaller than 4.25×5.5 inch and adhered it onto white card base. In turn, I foam mounted Decorative Tags 2Crocus Flowers, and Hummingbird Thanks one by one on it.

Sentiment from Floral Hearts set was heat embossed in white on a piece of red card stock. Finally, I embellished my card with the Valentine Jewel Mix and Ivory Twine which were adhered by using Mini Glue Dots.

That’s it from me for today. Thank you and have a wonderful day !

Spring Wreath with Pencils on Kraft

Hello everybody, Wanda here guesting on the Pretty Pink Posh blog!

I started by stamping the Spring Wreath in embossing ink and then heat embossing with white embossing powder onto Kraft cardstock. Die cut the wreath image using the matching die cut.

Color in the images with colored pencils. Wrap natural twine around the wreath and tie with a bow for a bit of dimension.

The finished card is a 4.5″ x 4.5″ square. Cut a score a piece of bright pink cardstock to make your card base. Cut a vellum layer to 4.25″ x 4.25″ and heat emboss the spring greetings sentiment onto the vellum.

Using Copic Opaque White, splatter white flecks onto the pink card base and let dry. Affix the vellum to the pink card base underneath where the wreath will be mounted.

Attach the wreath die cut to the card base using foam tape.

That’s it for today! Thanks for stopping by to see me!

Tutorial: Peek-A-Boo Easter Card

Hello friends, Eloise here and today I have an Easter project to share with you all. I used the Easter Eggs stamp set along with the Bunny Friends stamp set to create a peek-a-boo card.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I started off with stamping out my eggs onto a white piece of cardstock with black ink. I used four different styles of eggs and arranged them in my Mini MISTI stamping tool. I left a gap between the top and bottom rows for a sentiment, too. Once they were stamped, I cut apart the sentiment ‘Happy Easter’ and stamped them next to each other using my MISTI once again to stamp them between the eggs. Next, I used the Bunny Friends stamp set, stamped out a few of the images with my MISTI as well. I then coloured in everything with Copic Markers.

Copic Markers Used: RV10, RV13, RV25, RV19 / B63, BV02, BV04, BV08 / YR00, YR02, YR12, YR18 / B21, B24, B26, B39 / Y11, Y13, Y15, Y19 / YG01, YG03, YG07, YG09 / BG10, BG11, BG13, BG49 / E41, E42, E43, E44 / W00, W0, W1, W3 / 0

Now to create the ‘peek-a-boo’ element. I took the coordinating die and placed it over top of the egg, just like I normally would. I then placed the piece of cardstock into my die cut machine and covered ¾ of the bottom of the egg, leaving the top bit without a plate covering. I then ran through the piece and removed the die. This allows the egg to be folded upwards and to reveal the inside. I repeated this for the rest of my eggs and set off the piece to the side. I then cut my bunnies out with their dies as well.

I then took a white card base and covered it with a piece of blue patterned paper. I placed my peek a boo panel over top and traced around the inside of the eggs on my card base with a pencil. I adhered my bunnies and flowers on the insides of each of the eggs with foam tape and then erased the pencil lines. I added a double layer of foam to the back of my peek a boo panel and adhered it over the same spot.

That finished up my Easter card for today, I hope you enjoyed and got inspired. See you all next time!

Easter Theme Week- Day 7

Hi there, Nicky here. We’re having an Easter theme week here at Pretty Pink Posh to inspire you all with your own projects.  For my watercolour painted card I have returned to an old favourite stamp set- Bunny Friends.

Save 15% off items in the Easter section during our Easter Theme Week!

A panel of Bristol Smooth was randomly stamped with the images from Bunny Friends using Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil. All images were watercolour painted using the following:-

Arteza Real Brush Pen in Light Magenta/A184.  Kuretake Zigs in Beige, Gray Brown, Yellow, Orange, Bright Yellow, Light Green and Light Pink.

Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and the panel die cut simply with a faux stitched edge.  This panel was then adhered to a 110lb white cardstock base.

I die cut the Picket Fence from white cardstock and backed it with slim strips of dimensional foam tape and applied it to the bottom of the card.  I stamped the sentiment in the Potting Soil Ink again and applied this also with foam tape. I embellished the panel with Clear Droplets which seemed appropriate for a Spring garden themed card.

The final step was to stamp all the floral images on more Bristol Smooth cardstock and watercolour paint them using the same colour scheme listed above. Since I don’t have the coordinating dies for this stamp set I spent a long time fussy cutting the flowers but it was worth it to my mind.  I layered them behind the picket fence using little pieces of foam tape and they just seem to be bursting out and reaching for the sun!

Thank you so much for coming by to read how to make this card, have a wonderful, creative day!

Easter Theme Week- Day 6

Good morning Pretty Pink Posh fans! Heather here this morning to join in the Easter Theme week fun here on the Pretty Pink Posh blog with these two soft and sweet Easter shaker cards!

Save 15% off items in the Easter section during our Easter Theme Week!

I created these with the fun Easter Egg Shaker die, paired up with the stitched rectangle from Stitched Notes Dies. I die cut the shaker die, punched out the details in the image, then inset it back in the window created and added acetate behind it to create my shaker.

The backgrounds behind are Distress Oxide ink blended backgrounds. For this first card I used a combo of Shabby Shutters, Dried Marigold, and Abandoned Coral. I also added some Pink Blush Jewels to accent this one.

For this second one, my ink blended background was created with Mermaid Lagoon, Cracked Pistachio, and Wild Honey. This one has a few Sea Glass jewels on it as accents.

I added some solid color cardstock in a coordinating color to tuck behind that panel and help it pop against my white cardbases.

The shakers are filled with one of my favorite shaker fillings- Iridescent Mini Circles. LOVE how sparkly and fun it is – and it moves so easily in the shaker which is fabulous as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by today- hope you have a wonderful day!

Easter Theme Week- Day 5

Hello, friends! Thi here to share with you a card I made for Pretty Pink Posh Easter Theme week. I love to mix old and new products, so today’s card features the new Spring Frame paired with Easter Friends. I love these cute images – especially the little guy in the bunny outfit! He just cracks me up!

Save 15% off items in the Easter section during our Easter Theme Week!

Let’s get started! First, I colored all the images in Copic markers and die cut with their coordinating dies.

Next, I inked up some Bristol Smooth card stock with Distress Oxide in Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar and Cracked Pistachio. After I got the blend I wanted, I die cut with the Spring Frame die.

I inked up a second piece of Bristol Smooth card stock with Distress Oxide in Spun Sugar on top and Cracked Pistachio on the bottom for my background. I then stamped a sentiment from Easter Eggs with a Bubblegum Pink pigment ink.

Now I popped the Spring Frame onto the background with foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I adhered my Easter Friends onto the card with strong liquid glue. I made sure any part of my friends that are not on the frame, I backed with a little foam tape just for stability – for example, the back of the bunny’s head has foam tape behind it.

That’s it and my Easter card is finished! I hope you liked my card and that you are inspired to make an Easter card today! Thank you for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Easter Theme Week- Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of Pretty Pink Posh Easter Theme Week! Alix here would like to play Bunny Tic Tac Toe game with you! Our family likes to play games after our traditional egg hunting event on Easter Day. Do you have your special way to celebrate Easter Day?

To make this fun card, I first stamped the images from Bunny Friends Stamp set with Memento Rich Cocoa dye ink and colored them with Copic markers. Then I die cut them with Bunny Friends Coordinating Dies and set aside.

I cut a piece of watercolor paper slightly smaller than A2 size and ink blended the surface with Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Worn Lipstick.. I adhered it onto a piece of A2 sized cardstock paper in pastel blue to create my main background. I then cut from a piece of purple cardstock paper using Tic Tac Toe Die and adhere it to the background with Foam Strips

I arranged my colored images onto my prepped background using Multi Medium Matte and Foam Squares. I stamped the sentiment “Happy Spring” that comes in the same stamp set on to the bottom of my background. Please noted, I actually hand cut to separate my sentiment so I could arrange them however I want. If you are “brave enough” to do it, you will find more use out of your stamp set! In the end, I embellished my card using Pretty Pink Posh Jewels in Lemon Drop and Aquamarine.
I hope this card will bring you some inspirations for your Easter eelebration! Don’t forget that we are having a 15% discount on all items in our Easter section during this theme week!
