Halloween Theme Week- Day 4

Halloween Theme Week- Day 4

Hello, it’s Jeanne here for Halloween Theme Week. There are so many amazing Halloween themed stamp and dies at Pretty Pink Posh that the hardest part is choosing a favorite! I’m so glad we don’t have to! Today I mixed two stamp sets together- Halloween Critters and Woodland Thanks– to create this fun fall scene!

**All items in the Halloween Section are 15% off during theme week!

Halloween Theme Week- Day 4

My card starts with a Distress Oxide background. I love Oxide ink for blending backgrounds because it’s creamy consistency stays wet longer making blending easier. My background was created with Mowed Lawn, Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet. I splattered the panel with water, Dr. Ph. Martins Bleed proof White ink, and some Salty Ocean.

Halloween Theme Week- Day 4

All of the images were colored with Copic markers although any brand will do because there isn’t any shading involved here.

I arranged foliage from the Woodland Thanks stamp set to look like branches hanging. Little mushrooms dot the forest floor, and colorful flowers bloom among the leaves.

Halloween Theme Week- Day 4

Mixing sets and creating scenes couldn’t get easier because so many sets are perfectly proportioned to work together.

Happy crafting! Join us tomorrow for another day of Halloween inspiration!

Halloween Theme Week- Day 3

Halloween Theme Week- Day 3

Hey everyone, Amanda here and I am SO EXCITED to be on the Pretty Pink Posh blog today celebrating Halloween Theme Week. There’s a sale and tons of inspiration all week for all things Halloween. Today I have a super cool shaker card to share with you.

**All items in the Halloween Section are 15% off during theme week!

Halloween Theme Week- Day 3

I started my card by creating the shaker cauldron. I ink blended distress oxide in ripe persimmon and carved pumpkin on a scrap of white cardstock and set it aside. Then I die cut 8 cauldrons from black cardstock and adhered them to the ink blended scrap. I trimmed the panel down, added my shaker bits, an acetate panel and then one more black cauldron on top and set it aside to dry with acrylic blocks on top of it.

Halloween Theme Week- Day 3

Next, I ink blended my background with more distress oxide ink. Mowed lawn to twisted citron on the bottom, fading into nothing. Then seedless preserves to tattered rose, fading into the same nothing on the top. Then I layered the bat stencil from the Spooky Sky stencil set and blended black ink through that.

Then I stamped and heat embossed the outline fence image from Halloween Borders and a sentiment from Ghost Friends and used the coordinating dies to cut both of them out. I stamped two ghosts from Ghost Friends and colored them with my copic markers before die cutting them as well. I wanted a little something else so I went digging and found this sweet witchy kitty from Halloween Pals. I stamped and colored her with copics too and then cut her out with the coordinating dies.

Halloween Theme Week- Day 3

To assemble my card, I added the background panel to a card base and the fence directly to that. Next, I glued down the cauldron shaker and added foam squares to my images and sentiment. I removed the release paper and adhered those down before moving on to finishing touches.

For that I just added black glaze pen to the eyes that are “open” and glossy accents to the band on the witch hat. Last, I added swooshes of Wink of Stella glitter brush pen on the details of both ghosts. Just a little shimmer in the light but it’s fun.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and found some inspiration to create something wonderful. I appreciate you sharing your time with me. Have a fabulous day!

Halloween Theme Week- Day 2

Halloween Theme Week- Day 2

Hi crafty friends, it’s Jeannie here! Today, I’m pulling a bunch of both old and new Pretty Pink Posh items together for three fun Halloween cards. When I first saw the Candy Treat Dies, I didn’t really focus on the candy silhouettes but I immediately thought of how I could use it to create faces for Halloween and that’s exactly what I did today.

**All items in the Halloween Section are 15% off during theme week!

Halloween Theme Week- Day 2

I pulled a couple dies from the Candy Treat set and die cut them for facial features for my Frankenstein, pumpkin, and mummy.  Of course, for some I had to manipulate some pieces, like for the teeth of the mummy, which came from the longer piece of candy with a wrapper.

Halloween Theme Week- Day 2

I also had to pull out the Stacked Edges 1 Die for the mouth of the pumpkin (which I cut shorter) and using both the Stitched Strips Dies and the Stacked Edges 1 Dies to build up Frankenstein’s hair.

Halloween Theme Week- Day 2

I picked out colored cardstock for the base of their faces and trimmed them down if I wanted to. This was so fun to put together because you can be super creative and candy features as facial features as well but for my three cards today, I stuck with very basic features.

Halloween Theme Week- Day 2

For my card bases, I pulled out colored cardstock along with the Spider Web stencil and stenciled them up using this metallic wax I found in my craft stash. It didn’t need to be perfect because most of it would be covered up but I wanted some texture in the background.

To finish off these cards, I die cut the Boo Script sentiment twice, once on holographic cardstock and once on gray cardstock so I can stack them for added dimension. I also pulled out the spider from the Spider Web Die to add accents to two of my cards. It was just a fun touch to add!

Halloween Theme Week- Day 2

There are so many possibilities to create and I hope you get inspired to create!

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Halloween Theme Week- Day 1

Halloween Theme Week- Day 1

Hi friends! It’s Stefanie here and today we are kicking off Pretty Pink Posh’s Halloween Theme Week! We will be sharing lots of crafty inspiration.

**All items in the Halloween Section are 15% off during theme week!

Halloween Theme Week- Day 1

My card today features the Halloween Envelopes stamp set and a sentiment from Ghost Friends stamp set.

There are coordinating dies for both sets, but for my card I only needed the Halloween Envelopes Coordinating Dies.

Halloween Theme Week- Day 1

To create my card, I started by stamping out the envelope with the most adorable creepy critters and some tiny extras on white cardstock. Then I colored my images with Copic markers.

  • Ghosts: B00, B000, R30, R000
  • Bats and Hair: W5, W3, W1
  • Frankenstein: BG93, YG61, R30
  • Spiders: BV02, B60, R32
  • Outer Envelope: E42, E41
  • Inner Envelope: E40
  • Splatter: W9
Halloween Theme Week- Day 1

I laid my images out on an A2 card base so it looks like the creepy fliers and the creepy crawlers are spilling out of the envelope to see where I wanted my background ink blending.

I used distress oxide in Iced Spruce to blend heavily from the bottom right corner and fade to white in the upper left. Then I adhered my colored images using foam tape.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed “Boo to you” in white on black cardstock, then cut it out to the shape I wanted. I think it fits nicely in the corner!

Halloween Theme Week- Day 1

Finally to tie everything together, I added a little bit of “splatter” using a Copic marker. I think it matches the sentiment and draws a line for the eye from the top to the bottom of the card.

At the end, I added a touch of highlight using a white gel pen and my card was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you like my card! Be sure to come back tomorrow for Day 2 of Halloween Theme Week!

For my card, I first started out with an A2 sized panel in white cardstock and made a background by stamping the small coffee cups, hearts, and coffee steam all over in Memento Rich Coca Ink and coloring them with copic markers. I splattered some rose gold paint for added interest. Next, I stamped, colored, and die cut the adorable girls from the Coffee Friends stamp set

Pretty Pink Posh STAMPtember 2022 Set

Coffee cups – B00/000, E42/41/40, RV23/21/00, Y13/11, YG01/00

This card will fit into an A6 size envelope.

Fall Basket

Hello friends! It’s Leica here on the blog today. I have a Happy Thanksgiving card to share with you all featuring the new Fall Basket die set and Mouse Friends stamp set. Let’s get started!

Pretty Pink Posh: Fall Basket

I first cut a A2 sized panel in white cardstock and ink blended with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Ink. For added interest, I splattered some black and gold acrylic paint.

Next, I worked on the Fall Basket dies. I ink blended Distress Oxide Inks on scrap papers and cut the basket, leaves, and pumpkins. I used the following inks – Antique Linen, Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Twisted Citrus. I adhered some pumpkins on the back of the basket and then foam mounted the front onto the pumpkins.

Pretty Pink Posh: Fall Basket

I then stamped, colored, and cut the mice from the new Mouse Friends stamp set. I used Copic markers in R20/00/000 and W3/1/0. Next, I adhered all the elements onto the inked card panel. For texture and added interest, I glued some pearls in Sunset Orange here and there. Lastly, I white heat emboss the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted onto the card panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by! We can’t wait to see what you create with this new release!

Apples + School Friends

Hello, Gemma here today. I’m using the wonderful Layered Apple stencil with an older stamp set, called School Friends. There are 3 layers in the Layered Apples stencil set – apples, stalks, and leaves.

Pretty Pink Posh: Apples + School Friends

I began with the apple stencil layer, blending distress oxide inks in Abandoned Coral and Worn Lipstick over an A2 card base.

For the stalk layer, I used Walnut Stain distress oxide ink. I then used the last layer of the stencil set to add the leaves, with Mowed Lawn distress oxide ink.

Pretty Pink Posh: Apples + School Friends

The Layered Apples stencilled background is so pretty when finished and there are lots of fun possibilities for colours. Next, I stamped images from the School Friends stamp set, colouring the images with copic markers and die cutting with the coordinating dies.

Pretty Pink Posh: Apples + School Friends

I die cut the Storybook 4 die from white card as I wanted to use the wide window piece for my sentiment. I stamped a sentiment from the Everyday Greetings stamp set, adhering it to my card with foam squares. I then added the School Friends images to finish, adding dimension with blank die cuts behind.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. If you’re on Instagram, we’ll have a reel showing how to make this card up shortly!

Rustic Fall Envelope

Hi there crafty friends! I’m Raquel here today sharing some inspiration with the beautiful, new Falling Branches Stencil.

This stencil has so many possibilities! I made another project using it to apply embossing paste a few days ago but on today’s project, I wanted to use it to add lots of color.

Pretty Pink Posh: Rustic Fall Envelope

I started my project by ink blending Mustard Seed, Salvaged Patina, Rusty Hinge and Spice Marmalade Distress inks onto 6×6 piece of cardstock. When applying the ink, I usually go heavier in the center and softer on the edges of the leaves, in this case, branches.

Once my background was done, I trimmed to 4 ¼ by 5 ½. This is always the hardest part as I want to keep it all.

The idea behind this design was to use one of the Fall Envelopes Stamp Set so I used some Copic markers in the same or very similar colors of the leaves of the background:

Pretty Pink Posh: Rustic Fall Envelope

I used:

E39, E37 and E35 for browns

Y11, Y13, YR21, YR23 and YR 24 for yellows.

BG32 and BG000 for blues

Pretty Pink Posh: Rustic Fall Envelope

Next up I decided to add some white leaves for some dimension. I used several dies from the Stitched Foliage Die set. I felt something was missing so I thought I’d use one of the cutest mice from the Mouse Friends Stamp Set.

I used W4, W3, W1, W0, W00 and R11 Copic Markers to color this little guy. I also added white highlights using a nº 10 Gelly Roll Pen.

Pretty Pink Posh: Rustic Fall Envelope

I wanted to add some contrast to this design so I thought the Thanks Script die would be perfect in black glitter cardstock:

I hope you find this project inspiring and feel encouraged to craft and create! Thank you for stopping by!

Colorful Layered Apples

Welcome friends! This is Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook sharing a card combining unlikely products from the September release. I just adored the new Layered Apples stencil set so I had to play with it but wasn’t sure what I wanted on my card. Then, as I was coloring some of the images from Mouse Friends this sweet design hit me and I knew what I was creating!

Pretty Pink Posh: Colorful Layered Apples

I inked the apples from top left to bottom right red, yellow and green just like the colors apples come in. Then I added brown stems and a different color green leaves. Isn’t that background so much fun!?! I love it!

Next, I stamped and colored the pair of mice from Mouse Friends with my copic markers. Typically I color mice in grays but I switched gears to cute little brown mice today. Aren’t they sweet?!? I used the E40 line of copic markers for these critters with R11 and R00 for the ears and nose. I popped them up with foam squares and started die cutting my sentiment.

Pretty Pink Posh: Colorful Layered Apples

I cut the Thanks Script from white cardstock 6 times to keep it level with the mice. The top layer is the complete die but all the layers below have the tops of the T, H and K trimmed off. I adhered it with liquid glue so the mice are standing on the letters.

Finally I pulled a smaller sentiment from the Mouse Friends stamp set, stamped and heat embossed it on black and used the banner die in that set to cut it out. This is popped up on a foam strip to keep everything level.

Pretty Pink Posh: Colorful Layered Apples

Finishing touches on this card were simple by adding black glaze pen to the mouse eyes, glossy accents to their noses and white gel pen highlights all around them.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and found some inspiration to create something wonderful! Have a fabulous day!
