Kraft Valentine Card

Hi friends! Christina here to share the cutest Valentine shaker card showcasing the new Double Heart Shaker from the latest Valentine release. This release is amazing and has everything you need to get started on making the sweetest, most adorable Valentine creations just like this one! Follow along below with the steps to creating this shaker card.

My first step was to die cut two Eyelet Rectangle panels from kraft cardstock. I set one panel aside to be the base of the shaker. The other panel will be our card front, and I die cut this with the inner pieces of the Double Heart to be the shaker windows, using the outside frame die as a template for their placement.

Next I die cut the elements for the Double Heart from white and red cardstock and created one heart of each color. I attached this double heart to the first Eyelet Rectangle panel we set aside to be the base, using the second panel with the shaker windows as a template for their placement. Now the base has the double heart in place and perfectly aligned to be the background of the shaker windows.

For some texture and interest, I added a text background to the first panel, our card front. To do this, I die cut the “Love” and “XOXO” from the new Valentine Holder Additions set from kraft cardstock multiple times and attached them across the panel, trimming them to fit within the stitched border and where they overhung the shaker windows. Then I added little die cut hearts in between each word and a few white clay confetti pieces from the Bright Rainbow Clay Mix.

On the reverse side of the card front panel, I attached a piece of acetate over the shaker windows and then foam strips around the window opening to create a well for the Love Shaker Beads. Still on the reverse side of the card front, I added foam tape to the rest of the panel and then attached the base panel, ensuring the double hearts were properly aligned with the shaker windows.

To finish things up, I die cut the Double Heart Shaker again from red and white cardstock to get the pieces to frame the shaker windows on the card front. Lastly, I added a sentiment from the Valentine Greetings stamp set, die cutting it with the coordinating dies, and attaching it with foam squares.

Thanks so much for following along with this super cute Valentine shaker card. I hope you’re inspired to start creating Valentines for your Valentine!
