Stepped Up Stenciling + Video

Hi crafty friends, Lisa Mears here. For my card today, I used some stepped-up stenciling techniques to add sparkle and shine to a stenciled card. Today I’ll be using the new Layered Coffee Cups stencil.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I used the Layered Coffee Cups Stencil. I inked Layer A using a green ink for the shape of the coffee cups. I inked Layer B with a brown ink to everything except for the coffee cup sleeve.  I added Versamark ink for the coffee cup sleeve and then I sprinkle red embossing powder over the sleeves of the coffee cups and heat set them.

For Layer C, I inked the coffee steam with a light gray ink. Next, I added Versarmark ink to the hearts and bottom of the coffee mugs. I use red embossing powder to cover these areas and then heat set them. Next, I reapplied stencil Layer C, adding Versamark ink to the stars followed by a gold embossing powder and then heat set them. I just love the look of the embossing powder on the stenciled background. It adds such a pretty shine to the stenciled background. I used a rectangle die to cut the coffee cup background and added it to a piece of white cardstock.

Using the snowflake die from the Mitten Shaker die set, I die cut 10 white snowflakes and glued them around the outside edge of a piece of red cardstock. I added the coffee cup layer to the top of the red snowflake paper.

I stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Sentiments stamp set and cut it out with a banner die from the Holiday Envelopes die set. I layered the white banner onto a red banner and offset it.

I added some Ruby Red Pearls to finish off my card. My finished card is an A2 size card which measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed today’s video and post!

Happy Santa & Penguins

Hello friends! It’s Leica here today and I am sharing a fun Christmas box card. For this card, I used the new Happy Santa stamp set and also added the cutest penguins from the previously-released Penguin Pals stamp set.

Pretty Pink Posh: Happy Santa & Penguins

I first assembled the box card in white cardstock and added snow drifts as inserts. For the background panel, I ink blended through the Layered Snowflakes Stencils in Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks. Using the same brush, I lightly ink blended on the panel to have a colored background.

Pretty Pink Posh: Happy Santa & Penguins

Next, I stamped, colored, and cut the images with the Happy Santa coordinating dies

Blacks – N7/5/3
Reds – R29/27/24
Teals – BG13/11

Pretty Pink Posh: Happy Santa & Penguins

I then used red ink to stamp the sentiment onto the front panel. Lastly, I glued the images to create an adorable Christmas scene.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope I’ve inspired you to start on your Christmas cards. Happy crafting!

Snowman Wishes

Good morning, friends! It’s Lindsey here, and I’m excited to share a card with you today. One thing I love about Pretty Pink Posh products is how seamlessly the old and the new blend together. I’ve done just that today as I built this cute little scene on my card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Snowman Wishes

I started with the new Layered Snowflakes Stencil. I love it! It includes a really fun variety of shapes. I blended two layers with ink and embossed the third layer in silver. The embossing adds just a little something special and a bit of shine to the card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Snowman Wishes

Next, I pulled out the previously released Snowman Shaker Dies. I had so much fun with them last winter and couldn’t wait to use them again! I die cut several snowmen in white and layered them all together. Under the top layer I added a layer of vellum and filled my snowman with 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins. With the vellum on top and clear sequins inside, it gives a fun snowy effect.

Next I assembled the rest of the snowman.  I added his face and a hat with trim and a tiny flower that I cut with the Winter Foliage Dies. On his belly I placed a sentiment from the Holiday Sentiments stamp set

Pretty Pink Posh: Snowman Wishes

I imagined this darling snowman in a forest, so I set out to create one. The Nature Essentials dies were perfect for this.  I used the cloud border to make a puffy layer of snow on the ground and framed the snowman on either side with trees from the same dies. Finally, I added just a few leaf and berry sprigs from the Winter Foliage dies to add some foliage on the ground as well as for the snowman to hold.

I adhered the entire scene onto a deep eggplant card base, which essentially framed the scene. And then I sat back and smiled. :)

I hope this card makes you smile, too! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and make sure you keep coming back.  You are going to love all the projects the team has made with this amazing new release!

Whimsical Winter Drinks

Hello crafty friends! It’s Leica here today with a holiday card featuring the Winter Drinks stamp set. I’ve been waiting for a coffee-themed stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh and finally it’s here! If you were lucky enough to grab the Stamptember exclusive, this set would pair nicely on a card or any coffee-themed project. If you are a coffee lover like me or have coffee-loving friends, this set is perfect to have in your stash.

Pretty Pink Posh: Whimsical Winter Drinks

To start, I ink blended a 4” x 5.25” white cardstock in Spun Sugar Distress Oxide on the center and Worn Lipstick along the border of the card panel. Next, I stamped, colored, and cut the images from the Winter Drinks stamp set and small accessories from the Holiday Envelopes stamp set

Greens – G43/40, YG67/63/61
Reds – R27/24/22/21/20
Teals – BG13/11/000, BG09/05/13

Pretty Pink Posh: Whimsical Winter Drinks

I foam mounted the coffee cups and mugs on a sheet of vellum and glued it onto the card panel. The sentiment is from the Holiday Scripts stamp set. I love that the script has coordinating dies! “Warm winter” is stamped on a strip of white cardstock that I colored in BG000.

For embellishments, I’ve added pearls in Ruby Red and tied a black and white twine on the side of the card. Lastly, I went for a red card base for this card and added white cardstock panel inside for writing space.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you like my card and that I’ve inspired you to craft with this stamp set.

Frosty Mitten Shaker

Hi Friends! It’s Raquel here today. This release is all about Christmas and all I can say is WOW!!! So many gorgeous products to play with. I’m in love with everything but I had to try the new dies first!

To create this adorable shaker, I started by using the Layered Snowflakes Stencils.

Pretty Pink Posh: Frosty Mitten Shaker

I wanted to create a winter snowflake background with light turquoise and intense pink snowflakes. I really love this combo for Christmas. I applied all three layers using randomly Distress Salvaged Patina and Festive Berries Distress inks with a heavier hand in some areas.

Pretty Pink Posh: Frosty Mitten Shaker

Then I used the Mitten Shaker Die to build my shaker. I used Sea Glass cardstock and once I had glued the acetate I filled this cute shaker with the Winter Snowflakes Clay Confetti, some sparkling clear sequins and also some glitter.

Next up I die cut the snowflake die included in this set three times and applied some Salvaged Patina on the edges on two of them and Festive Berries on the third one. I used some Glossy accent on these snowflakes and poured some Glitter Candy on top to achive this icy look and placed them around the mitten.

Pretty Pink Posh: Frosty Mitten Shaker

Lastly, I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink the Happy Holidays sentiment from the Happy Santa set and placed it on top and placed it onto the envelope.

Hope you like this project and I hope I inspired you to create. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Day 3: October Blog Hop

Day 3: October Blog Hop

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE //  If you missed Day 2 CLICK HERE

Hello! It’s Lindsey here today. I absolutely adore the Winter Foliage dies from the new release and cannot put them down. I want to use them on everything! The size, the variety, the layering possibilities…happy sigh. I love it all.

Day 3: October Blog Hop

Because the dies are so gorgeous on their own, I decided to make a card that would really let them shine. I die cut all the Winter Foliage in silver and used a dark green card base for contrast.

Day 3: October Blog Hop

To create my arrangement, I started with the largest flower in the bottom left corner and then built in an upward diagonal using the largest pieces first and filling in with smaller leaves and berries. My goal was to use as many pieces as I could without any repeats. :)

Day 3: October Blog Hop

For the sentiment I used the new Merry & Bright Script Dies. Aren’t they fabulous?! I simply die cut them in white, adhered them to a piece of vellum, and trimmed them out with a bit of a bit of a border to help the sentiment stand out against the silver.

Day 2: October Blog Hop

Day 2: October Blog Hop

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE

Hello, Gemma here today with a cozy Christmas card to share. I used the new Winter Mug die set, which I teamed with the new Layered Snowflakes stencil.

Day 2: October Blog Hop

I started with the background, blending distress oxide inks through the 3 layers of the Layered Snowflakes stencil set. I used Tumbled Glass, Salvaged Patina and Speckled Egg. Over the Speckled Egg layer, I also added Nuvo Moonstone glimmer paste for a touch of sparkle. I then put the background aside to dry.

Day 2: October Blog Hop

Next, I die cut the Winter Mug from blue and red sparkle card. Behind the red mug, I added two more die cut layers from plain red card, for dimension. There are lots of fun elements in the Winter Mug die set. I die cut some candy canes, snowflakes and marshmallows, along with the piece for the drink in the mugs.

Day 2: October Blog Hop

Once the background was dry, I adhered it to a square card base, then added the Winter Mugs on top. Finally, I added a sentiment from the Holiday Sentiments stamp set, die cut using a banner die from the Holiday Envelopes coordinating die – both are new sets in this release. I also added a red banner behind for another pop of colour.

BONUS: do you spot the fun trees in the background of my card photos? These were created using the fabulous Pine Trees die set from the October release!

Hello crafty friends! It’s Leica here today on the PPP blog. I’ve made beautiful paper floral arrangements with the new Winter Foliage Dies. It’s a long process, but totally worth it once it’s all put together.

Day 1: October Blog Hop

With the Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor set, I painted sheets of watercolor cardstock in shades of brown, gold, green, red, yellow, and pearl white. I cut the Winter Foliage Dies in these cardstocks and made a floral arrangement by gluing the smaller elements onto the large flower. I then splattered some white paint on the floral piece for added interest.

Day 1: October Blog Hop

These floral clusters are so addicting and fun to make. You can combine different sizes and different elements and use them for cards, gifts, and other projects. I just love the way they turned out!
