Spring Birdhouse + Video

Hi, friends! It’s Lauren and I have a new video to share. I am still trying to hold on to Spring before Summer and the hot weather gets here! So I’ve used the Stitched Birds Dies and Decorative Birdhouses Dies with softer colors to share with you.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

To prepare for my video, I did some hot foiling and die cutting before recording. Using some pastel satin foil, I hot foiled the Large Love Hot Foil Plate and cut it out with the Large Love Shadow Die Set. I used watercolor cardstock to cut out the Stitched Birds Dies and Decorative Birdhouses Dies, as well as some textured tan cardstock to cut the Decorative Birdhouses Dies to create a look of wood.

Spring Birdhouse + Video

I started with using Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to color in the textured tan cardstock of my birdhouse in soft colors of purple, pink, orange and yellow. I use them to color my bird as well in colors of blues, orange, dark grey and soft beige. Once dry, I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to distress the birdhouse pieces, again trying to give my birdhouse a look like it is painted wood. Next I adhered the pieces of the birdhouse together and added the watercolor cardstock pieces behind to make sure it is nice and sturdy. I also glued my cute little bluebird together.

Spring Birdhouse + Video

Next I worked on my background which is a pastel mint green cardstock and I used the A heart stencil from the Layered Valentine Hearts Stencils to add Picket Fence Distress Ink and white metallic watercolor splatter. Once it was dry, I trimmed it down to 4×5-1/4″ and adhered it to the center of my A2 card base. Using foam adhesive, I added the birdhouse, bluebird and the Love sentiment to card base.

Spring Birdhouse + Video

To add in more Spring touches, I adhered flowers and leaves clay confetti from the Flower Garden Mix around the flower opening in the birdhouse, the pink scalloped trim and around my purple Love hot foiled sentiment.

I hope this card brings a smile to your face and you’ll join me in holding onto Spring as long as we can!

Spring Carrots

Hello hello! It’s Leica here with a fun Spring-themed shaker card, featuring the Layered Carrots Stencils. There are 3 different layers of stencils included in this pack and they create the cutest carrot background for a Spring card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Spring Carrots

I started by inkling the A Layer with Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Ink on an A2-sized white card base. Next, I used Spiced Marmalade for Layer B, and finally, Twisted Citron for Layer C. I then sprayed some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Spray onto a white cardstock that’s a bit larger than A2 and cut the frame from the Fancy Cake Die. I then glued on a sheet of acetate on the back of the frame and added foam tape around the frame to create a well for my shaker card. I filled the card with Easter Garden Mix. And lastly, I cut the Happy Spring Shadow Dies from white cardstock and cut the shadow from the same cardstock that I sprayed with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Spray. I glued the sentiment on the center of the card and that finishes my card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Spring Carrots

I love love love these Layered Carrots Stencils. It’s easy to make a patterned paper look with these stencils and only 3 inks are needed.

Thanks for stopping by the PPP blog! Happy crafting!

Easy Graduation Card w/ Stencils

Hello crafty friends, Lisa Mears here. It’s graduation season so today I’m sharing a quick graduation card using some products from the May 2023 release.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

Easy Graduation Card w/ Stencils

For the background of my card, I used the Layered Graduation three layer stencil. The great thing about this stencil is that you can use it with ink colors that match the colors of your graduate’s school colors. My daughter is graduating high school this year so I knew immediately that I wanted the graduation caps to be the same color as her cap and gown. Therefore, for the Layer A stencil, which is the graduation caps, I used Fired Brick Distress Oxide ink since her graduation apparel matches this ink color the best.

Easy Graduation Card w/ Stencils

For the Layer B stencil, which is the diploma, I used Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink. For the Layer C stencil, which is the tassel and the ribbon for the diploma, I used Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink. I also added some Brutus Monroe Alabaster Glitter Glaze over the tassel and ribbon to add a bit of sparkle.

Easy Graduation Card w/ Stencils

I die cut a label from the Easter Circles die set and added a koala bear from the Koala Friends stamp set. I thought it would be cute to add a graduation cap and diploma to the koala bear so I fussy cut them from the stenciled background. For the sentiment, I used the Congrats Shadow die.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Bright Birthday

Hi there! It’s Leica here and today I’m sharing a fun birthday card with a small shaker element in the middle. This came together fast and easy, and I love the way it turned out.

Pretty Pink Posh: Bright Birthday

For the card panel, I cut a white cardstock to A2 size and ink blended through the Streamers Stencils in Salvaged Patina, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks. I then splattered the panel with pink, teal acrylic paints and white ink for added interest.

Pretty Pink Posh: Bright Birthday

Next, I cut the large element from the Birthday Sentiment coordinating dies in white cardstock and ink blended it with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx black ink and glued some gifts. I then turned this piece into a shaker, using vellum for the back to soften the background. I tied a black and white twine and glued this piece onto the card panel. Lastly, I glued it onto an A2 size card base.

Pretty Pink Posh: Bright Birthday

That’s all for this card. Happy crafting!

You’re So Tweet

Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh blog! It’s Leica here and today I’m excited to share a handmade card that I made using the new Spring Birdhouses stamp set and A Little Birdie stamp set.

Pretty Pink Posh: You're So Tweet

To start, I cut a 4.25 inch square panel of white cardstock and ink blended it with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. I love the soft, pastel look of this color! To add some texture, I splattered the panel with white ink and stamped a sentiment from the Spring Birdhouses stamp set using Versafine Onyx black ink.

Once my panel was complete, I glued it onto a 4.5 inch square card base to create the foundation for my card. Then, I stamped, colored, and cut out some adorable images from the Spring Birdhouses stamp set and A Little Birdie stamp set

Pretty Pink Posh: You're So Tweet

To add dimension to the card, I foam mounted the images onto the panel, except for the birdhouse. Instead, I attached a piece of twine to the birdhouse so that it looked like it was hanging from a tree branch. I love the way the birdhouse swings back and forth – it adds an element of surprise and playfulness to the card.

Pretty Pink Posh: You're So Tweet

I had so much fun creating this card using Pretty Pink Posh’s stamps. The Spring Birdhouses and A Little Birdie sets are perfect for creating cheerful, whimsical cards that are perfect for any occasion.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today to check out my card! I hope it inspires you to create something beautiful with these stamps. Have a great day!

Sorry You’re Under the Weather

Hello friends. It’s Leica here today and I’m so excited to share with you all a card that I recently made using the new Get Well Soon stamp set! As a cardmaking enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for fun and creative ways to brighten someone’s day, and this stamp set definitely fits the bill.

Sorry You're Under the Weather

To start, I took a 4.25 inch square white cardstock and stamped a variety of images from the Get Well Soon stamp set. I used my trusty Copic Sketch Markers to add some vibrant colors to each of the images. Once I was happy with the coloring, I carefully foam mounted the card panel onto a 4.5 inch square white card base, creating a sturdy and durable foundation for my card.

Sorry You're Under the Weather

Next, I cut the ornate label from the Get Well Soon coordinating dies out of white cardstock. I then used Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink to add some dimension and interest to the label, and finished it off with a few splatters of water and white ink.

For the sentiment, I used Versafine Onyx black ink to stamp a sweet and uplifting message onto the label. I then carefully foam mounted the label onto the center of the card, creating a striking focal point.

Sorry You're Under the Weather

I’m really happy with how this card turned out. While it may be a simple design, I know that the bright and cheerful colors will definitely help to lift the spirits of the recipient. The Get Well Soon stamp set is truly a must-have for anyone who loves to create thoughtful and meaningful cards for their loved ones.

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog post, and I hope that this has inspired you to try out this stamp set for yourself! Happy crafting!

Congrats Graduation + Video

Hi, friends, it’s Lauren. Can you believe the school year is coming to an end and we’re approaching graduation season? Pretty Pink Posh just released some new products to help with your congratulations projects and I’m sharing how to incorporate the new Graduation Mug Additions Dies with the Winter Mug Dies to make a shaker card!

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

To prepare for my video, I did some hot foiling and die cutting before recording. Using some pastel satin foil, I hot foiled the Congrats Script Hot Foil Plate and cut it out with the Congrats Shadow Die Set. I used different types of cardstock (solid, vellum, glitter) in coordinating colors (white, yellow, blues) with the Winter Mug Dies, Graduation Mug Additions Dies, and the largest square from the Wonky Stitched Squares Dies

Congrats Graduation + Video

Next I stenciled my background on the Wonky Stitched Square with the Layered Graduation Stencils. I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide with the A stencil, Scattered Straw with the B stencil, and gold stencil paste with the C stencil. While it dried, I assembled my mug together as a shaker. I cut confetti from the Graduation Mug Additions Dies, but also included the new Aqua Shimmer Confetti inside the shaker.

Congrats Graduation + Video

I adhered my card together on a 4-1/4 x 4-1/4″ card base and layered some blue vellum trimmed to 4-1/8 x 4-1/8″ as well as the stenciled background. The shaker mug was then glued onto the card as well as the other graduation die cut details. My sentiment was added to the top of the mug and the card is complete! I hope you’re inspired to use your Graduation Mug Additions Dies, too.

Congrats Graduation + Video

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

Father’s Day Records Card

Hello, Gemma here. I love the new Layered Music Notes stencil. I made a Father’s Day card and improvised some vinyl records to continue the musical theme.

Father's Day Records Card

I chose an ombré of blue distress oxide inks for my background – tumbled glass, stormy sky and chipped sapphire. I trimmed down the panel and adhered to a top folding A2 card base.

Next, I die cut the Stitched Duo 2 die from both navy blue and pearl black sparkle card stock. This die cuts a stitched rectangle panel with 6 stitched circles. I’ll only use the circles from the black stitched duo 2 die cut, but can keep the panel for another card.

Father's Day Records Card

On the bottom edge of the navy blue die cut panel, I white heat embossed a father’s day greeting from the Dad stamp set. It fits perfectly in this space.

Father's Day Records Card

I adhered the navy panel and circles to the centre of my stencilled panel. I then adhered the black sparkle circles on top, to be my records.

To complete the look, I adhered some of the new Aqua Shimmer and Blue Shimmer to the centre of the circles. You could also use normal sequins, to give the hole in the centre, but I really wanted to use these beautiful new shimmer confetti mixes on my card today.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope you were inspired by this card idea!

Slimline Birdhouses + Video

Hello crafty friends. It’s Lisa Mears here. Today I’m sharing a slimline birdhouse card. These birdhouses can be used on cards for just about any occasion.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I used the Spring Birdhouses stamp set which includes three birdhouses, a branch, and several sentiments. The A Little Birdie stamp set includes five birds that coordinate perfectly with the birdhouses.  I also used a flower stamp from the Spring Flower stamp set to add to the branches.

I colored my images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens in the following colors — Peach Pink, Turquoise Green, May Green, Orange, Light Blue, Lemon Yellow, Mid Brown, and the Blender. After I colored them, I die cut them with the coordinating dies.

For the card background, I used the Layered Clouds Stencil along with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. I cut the background to 3 1/4” x 8 1/4”.

I added the largest Slimline Scallop Frame dies to the stenciled background and then added my stamped images and sentiment. Finally, I added the card layer to a slimline card base which measures 3 1/2” x 8 1/2”.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful day!

Graduation Box Card

Hello crafty friends, it’s Leica here. Are you looking for a unique and personalized graduation card idea? Look no further than the new Graduation Mug Additions Dies by Pretty Pink Posh! These versatile dies allow you to create customizable graduation-themed elements in any color scheme, making them perfect for celebrating the achievements of your loved ones.

Pretty Pink Posh: Graduation Box Card

To showcase these dies, I decided to make a box card in light blue cardstock using the Scallop Box Card Dies. I love how this card design adds dimension and interest, while also providing plenty of space to add your own embellishments or stamped images.

For the background panel of the box card, I chose a sheet of patterned paper with stars that added a festive touch. Then, I used the Graduation Mug Additions Dies to cut out the graduation-themed elements in black, blue, gold, silver, yellow, and white cardstocks. I particularly loved the graduation cap and diploma, which added a playful and celebratory touch to the card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Graduation Box Card

To make these elements appear as if they were floating, I adhered strips of acetate to the banners, graduation cap, numbers, and stars. This technique created a fun and dynamic effect that made the card stand out even more.

Pretty Pink Posh: Graduation Box Card

Finally, to add a touch of elegance and sophistication, I hot foiled the Hot Foil Congrats Script in gold foil on white cardstock and cut it with the Congrats Shadow Dies. I love that the Hot Foil Dies make it easy to add stunning metallic accents to my projects.

That’s all for my card share for today. Thank you for reading, and I hope my card has inspired you to create your own handmade cards using the Graduation Mug Additions Dies! Have a great day!
