Easter Theme Week- Day 5

Hello, friends! Thi here to share with you a card I made for Pretty Pink Posh Easter Theme week. I love to mix old and new products, so today’s card features the new Spring Frame paired with Easter Friends. I love these cute images – especially the little guy in the bunny outfit! He just cracks me up!

Let’s get started! First, I colored all the images in Copic markers and die cut with their coordinating dies.

Next, I inked up some Bristol Smooth card stock with Distress Oxide in Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar and Cracked Pistachio. After I got the blend I wanted, I die cut with the Spring Frame die.

I inked up a second piece of Bristol Smooth card stock with Distress Oxide in Spun Sugar on top and Cracked Pistachio on the bottom for my background. I then stamped a sentiment from Easter Eggs with a Bubblegum Pink pigment ink.

Now I popped the Spring Frame onto the background with foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I adhered my Easter Friends onto the card with strong liquid glue. I made sure any part of my friends that are not on the frame, I backed with a little foam tape just for stability – for example, the back of the bunny’s head has foam tape behind it.

Easter Theme Week- Day 4

 

Welcome to Day 4 of Pretty Pink Posh Easter Theme Week! Alix here would like to play Bunny Tic Tac Toe game with you! Our family likes to play games after our traditional egg hunting event on Easter Day. Do you have your special way to celebrate Easter Day?

To make this fun card, I first stamped the images from Bunny Friends Stamp set with Memento Rich Cocoa dye ink and colored them with Copic markers. Then I die cut them with Bunny Friends Coordinating Dies and set aside.

I cut a piece of watercolor paper slightly smaller than A2 size and ink blended the surface with Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Worn Lipstick.. I adhered it onto a piece of A2 sized cardstock paper in pastel blue to create my main background. I then cut from a piece of purple cardstock paper using Tic Tac Toe Die and adhere it to the background with Foam Strips. 

I arranged my colored images onto my prepped background using Multi Medium Matte and Foam Squares. I stamped the sentiment “Happy Spring” that comes in the same stamp set on to the bottom of my background. Please noted, I actually hand cut to separate my sentiment so I could arrange them however I want. If you are “brave enough” to do it, you will find more use out of your stamp set! In the end, I embellished my card using Pretty Pink Posh Jewels in Lemon Drop and Aquamarine.

Altenew 5th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway

Hello and welcome! This is Caly and today, Pretty Pink Posh is helping Altenew celebrate their 5th Anniversary! It’s so wonderful to help other companies in the crafting community celebrate their success. There are lots of fun prizes, so be sure to hop along!

I’ve combined some Altenew 3D paper-layering dies with a Pretty Pink Posh sentiment.  The Garden Picks 3D dies and Wild Rose 3D dies are used on today’s card to create a floral spray with flowers in multiple sizes and colors.

3D dies can be difficult to work with when there are lots of layers – so it’s really important to stay organized!  I die-cut each of the pieces in the colors of cardstocks that I wanted to layer and carefully glued them together.

Once all the pieces were adhered together, I decided I would have to create a slimline card to use all the images.  The card is 4.25” x 8.5” and fits into a #10 sized envelope. I trimmed a card front to 4” x *8.25” and ink-blended it with some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink before laying out the pieces to adhere to this layer.

Some of the flowers are adhered directly to the card front, while others are adhered with foam adhesive for some dimension.

After arranging and adhering my flowers, I used a sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Thoughtful Greetings stamp set to stamp in the upper right hand corner with black ink.  The card panel is then adhered to a card base and adorned with some Tonic Studios White Blizzard Glitter Drops.

Easter Theme Week- Day 3

Hello crafty friends! It’s Yoonsun here today for my Easter shaker card using the Happy Easter Shaker die & the Hummingbird Thanks stamp set.

I started by die cutting 3.5″ x 4.75″ stitched rectangle panel from thick white card stock using the Stitched Notes die set. I then die cut scalloped Easter egg from the centre of the panel using the Happy Easter Shaker die– it’s a shaker window. I adhered the acetate behind the panel.

I die cut Easter egg from watercolor paper using the Happy Easter Shaker Die again, then inked up the floral Easter egg die cut with Fossilized Amber & Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks. I stamped hummingbirds from the Hummingbird Thanks set onto the watercolor paper in pigment black, watercolored them, and then die cut with coordinating dies.

I added Gold Shimmer, Blush, Rose Pink Seed Beads & Gold Stars, Sparkling Clear Stars to the center of the kraft card base, and then covered the Easter egg panel using foam tape. I also added watercolored hummingbirds & Sparkling Clear jewels as well. To stand out the sentiment, I die cut the Happy Easter Shaker from white card stock, only leave the “Happy Easter” sentiment part, and then adhered it in place using fine tip glue pen.

Easter Theme Week- Day 2

Hello, Gemma here with a pretty Spring floral shaker card for Easter Theme Week. I’ve combined some new and older sets from Pretty Pink Posh on my card today.

I began by cutting a piece of white card, cut to 5 1/2 inches square. I then partially stamped a greeting from the Easter Eggs stamp set, to get the word ‘happy’. Next, I die cut the Easter egg die, from the Decorative Eggs die set, three times to create shaker windows. I then added some acetate behind the panel.

To build three separate shaker areas on the reverse of the panel, I added a layer of foam tape around each of the windows. I then added more foam tape over the rest of the panel to give an even layer when adding to my card base.

I filled the shaker areas with the new Easter Confetti Mix, then adhered another piece of acetate to seal them. I like to use acetate as it means I can adhere the panel to my card base from the front, which makes aligning everything easier. If you then decide to add colour or patterned paper behind the shakers, it’ll still be visible through the acetate at the back.

I created a 5 3/4 inch square card base and adhered the shaker panel, leaving a thin border around the edge. Next, I die cut the other Decorative Eggs die set from coloured card stock, then adhered them on top of the shaker windows. I love this mix of colours together.

To complete my sentiment, I die cut the Happy Easter Script die, twice from white card and once from pink card, then stacked them together to create a dimensional greeting.

To add some pretty florals, I stamped the individual flower and leaf images from the Spring Wreath stamp set. I coloured them with copic markers, choosing colours to match the Easter eggs. I die cut them with the coordinating dies, then arranged them on the card. They are mostly adhered with liquid glue, but I used some foam tape behind the pink flowers for more dimension.

To finish, I added some Pearl White jewels to the centre of the pink flowers and scattered around the card for extra sparkle.

Easter Theme Week- Day 1

Hi, everyone! It’s Marge here for you today for the first day of Easter Theme Week and I’m sharing a shaker card with you.

I started by stamping and coloring of a cross from Easter Blessings set and die cut it using Easter Blessings coordinating dies. Then, I ink-blended watercolor card stock with Distress Oxide Inks: Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, and Tattered Rose.

Next, I pulled out another piece of watercolor card stock and die cut it using Spring Frame Die. I adhered a sheet of acetate film on the back of Spring Frame die cut and made a big shaker. For this, I adhered Double Sided Foam Sticky Strips on the edges of the frame, and I also adhered Square Foam Adhesives on the back of blossoms and leaves so that they would hold the shaker up tightly.

I chose various sequins and seed beads to express my own color palette of gold, orange, and green for this card. Here are what I put into the shaker: 4mm Lime Sorbet, 6mm Lime Sorbet, Evergreen Mix, 4mm Sunshine Glow, 6mm Sunshine Glow, 4mm Lemon Meringue, 6mm Lemon Meringue, 4mm Marigold, 6mm Marigold, 4mm Champagne, 6mm Champagne, Sparkling Clear Seed Beads, Daffodil Seed Beads, Gold Shimmer Seed Beads, and Spring Green Seed Beads.

After I assembled my shaker, I foam mounted Easter Blessings Cross on the acetate window. I die cut Happy Easter Script Die out of gold mirror card stock and white card stock then I adhered them using Multi Medium Matte and put the sentiments under the cross.

Finally, I adhered my shaker onto a card base and finished it off. The Copic markers I used for the cross were E49-E47-E44-E43-E42-E41 and G29-G24-YG03-G20.

Watercolor Flowers

Hi, friends! It’s Marge here with you sharing a watercolor Crocus Flowers card. The Crocus Flowers stamp set is so elegant and beautiful that I had so much fun coloring them .

To begin, I stamped Crocus Flowers on Watercolor paper using Distress ink Antique Linen, then I watercolored them. I used various watercolor media including Rose of Ultramarine and New Gamboge from Daniel Smith, and Spring Garden Watercolor Brush Markers. I added more shades using my polychromo pencils too. After I finished coloring, I cut them all using Crocus Flowers Coordinating Dies.

Next, I trimmed a piece of Bristol paper into A2 size, and ink blended it using Distress Oxide inks (Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, and Mermaid Lagoon). To do this, I masked off upper part of panel using my post- it sticky notes and sponged the bottom part using green inks. Then I masked off the green bottom and then sponged the sky part using blue inks.

I stamped one of the sentiments from Simple Sayings: Courage on top of the panel, and then I adhered Crocus Flowers using Glue Dots and Foam Adhesives.  After I foam mounted my panel to a card base, I added double stranded twine ribbon , Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix, 6mm LimeSorbet and 4mm Lime Sorbet sequins.

Spring Frame with Watercolors & Vellum

Hello there everybody, Wanda here guesting on the Pretty Pink Posh blog! I’m sharing a card today using products from the March release.

Start by die cutting the Spring Frame out of watercolor paper. Using your favorite water colors, color in the flowers and leaves on the frame in soft Spring colors. After the water colors are dry, fleck gold paint onto the panel.

Die cut an Easter Egg and water color in pink to match the frame colors. Fleck gold paint onto the egg also.

Attach a panel of aqua cardstock onto the entire front of an A2 card base. Cut a sheet of vellum to fit behind the open portion of the Spring Frame. Heat emboss in gold the “Happy Easter” sentiment from the Easter Eggs stamp set onto the vellum in the top/center.

Attach the embossed vellum directly to the back of the frame by using clear glue around the edges. Once that is dry, attach the frame and vellum over the aqua paper on the card base using foam tape.

Tuck the Easter egg into the bottom corner of the frame and attach it with foam tape.

Spring Frame w/ Magnolias

Hi, everyone! It’s Marge here for you today sharing a card that features Magnolia Flowers set and Spring Frame Die from the Pretty Pink Posh Release.

I started by stamping Magnolia Flowers on 80lb Neenah White paper using a very light colored dye ink, then I colored flowers and leaves using my Copic Markers. I added more shades to the images using Polychromo pencils and then I cut them all using Magnolia Flowers Coordinating Dies.

Next, I sponged A2 sized heavy-weight watercolor paper using some dye inks with deep blue, teal, light blue, pale pink and coral colors, then I die cut it with Spring Frame Die. I die cut another watercolor paper and glued the two layers together to give dimension to the frame. One more watercolor panel was blended with light blue and coral dye inks to be used as a background.

Before I glued the frame to the background, I stamped a sentiment from Thoughtful Greetings set with the guidance of Spring Frame die cut. In turn, I added splatters of deep blue ink and let them dry.

Now, it’s time for placing Magnolias on this framed background. For this, I used Mini Glue Dots and Foam Tapes. Finally, I adhered the panel onto a card base and finished off my card by adding some Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix and 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins.

For those who are interested in my coloring, Copic markers I used for Magnolias are YR14-YR01-YR000 and the Prismacolor pencils 757, PC939, PC1001, PC118, PC938 (blanc) and Noir.

Tutorial: Copic Rainbow Butterfly Card

Hi everyone, it’s Ardyth and I’m here with a colourful, happy hello card today!

I started by creating my background, using my Mini MISTI and the Spring Wreath set. I stamped the wreath off the edges of my square panel, and then turned the panel before stamping again. Then I filled in any empty spaces with some of the single flowers in the set. This is a quick and easy way to create an all-over flower background. I trimmed the panel using a circle die and also stamped and die cut one of the butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies.

I coloured the butterfly with a rainbow of Copic markers and then started working on the background. Using another circle die, I lightly drew ‘trail’ lines from the butterfly, creating an area for some colouring. I coloured it in with the same Copic markers to create unity between the butterfly and the background.

I found that the contrast between the black ink and white cardstock on the rest of the circle panel was a bit distracting, so I coloured that area with a gray marker to tone it down and allow the focus to be on the colourful, magical butterfly trail!

I glued the body of the butterfly directly to the circle panel, and popped up the edge of the wings with some foam tape for dimension.
