Sneak Peek: Baby + Little One

Hello friends! This is Angelica and I have a couple of cards to share today featuring the new Baby stamp set and coordinating dies. These products will be released on March 20th!

Pretty Pink Posh- Sneak Peek: Baby + Little One

For my first card, I used Grout Gray ink to stamp a background panel, using the smaller stamps in the Baby stamp set. Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed BABY onto white card stock. I used finger daubers and the following Distress Oxide Inks to color the letters: Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Cracked Pistachio, and Squeezed Lemonade. I die cut the letters, and attached them to the panel with different sized foam squares. I adhered the panel to a card base with foam adhesive, and added a small sentiment from the new Little One stamp set to finish the card.

Pretty Pink Posh- Sneak Peek: Baby + Little One

I used the Baby Die to make a shaker card for my second card.

Pretty Pink Posh- Sneak Peek: Baby + Little One

I trimmed a white panel of card stock, then die-cut Baby. I backed the panel with acetate, then glued the small die-cut pieces from the letters back in place. I wrapped foam adhesive on the backside of the panel, filled the window with Valentine and Friendship Confetti, then closed the top with another piece of acetate. I added more foam adhesive to the panel, and attached it to a card base.

Pretty Pink Posh- Sneak Peek: Baby + Little One

I stamped and Copic colored the adorable little lamb from Little One stamp set, die-cut with the coordinating die, and attached it to the card with thin foam adhesive. I finished the card with a die-cut Welcome from Welcome Little One Script die.

That’s all that I have for now. I hope I was able to give you inspiration for these new baby stamp sets. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sneak Peek: Spring Days

Hello friends! This is Angelica and we are kicking off sneak peeks of our upcoming March 20th release! Today I am featuring the new Spring Days stamp set.

Pretty Pink Posh- Sneak Peek: Spring Days

My first card is a clean and simple Easter card. I stamped the Easter eggs strip with Milk Chocolate Hybrid ink onto Copic-friendly paper, and colored them with a variety of pastel colors. I added shadows to the top layer of eggs, and used the coordinating die to only die-cut the top of the strip. The bottom layer was fully cut. I made a pink strip to attach the eggs to, using an Eyelet Border Die. I adhered the bottom egg strip, and used thin foam squares to add the top layer. I stamped the sentiment from Easter eggs stamp set onto a card base, added the eggs, and trimmed the edges to finish the card.

Pretty Pink Posh- Sneak Peek: Spring Days

I used the flowers strip for my next card.

Pretty Pink Posh- Sneak Peek: Spring Days

I stamped the flowers with Pizza Crust ink onto Neenah Desert Storm card stock. I the row I wanted to color, I stamped with Milk Chocolate. I colored the flowers with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. I used a white pencil to add highlights, and kept the coloring really simple. I added the panel to a card base, then worked on the sentiment. I die-cut Spring Blessings three times, stacked and glued them together for dimension, before gluing them to the card.

Pretty Pink Posh- Sneak Peek: Spring Days

The Spring Days stamp set is a fun one. There’s several more images to use for fun springtime cards!

Thanks for stopping by, see you tomorrow for another sneak peek!

Bright Everyday Toucans

Hello friends, Eloise here and today I’ll be creating a water-coloured background using the fun Tropical Background Stencil. I also paired it with the Tropical Toucans and Tropical Birds to create a beach scene.

Pretty Pink Posh: Bright Everyday Toucans

I started off with creating my background. I adhered down a piece of watercolour paper to a board and adhered down my stencil using washi tape. I then decided to use some Inktense Blocks from Derwent, these are a new to me product and thought they would be fun to try. I started off with water-colouring the flowers pink, dried it with a heat tool. Then coloured in the leaves green, dried it again and coloured in the rest of the areas blue. I removed the stencil and dried it completely. This way is super messy, but you still see some of the details if you use less water, but I like the overall effect. Next, I used the Tropical Birds and Tropical Toucans stamp sets, stamped out some images and coloured them in with Copic Markers.

Copic Markers Used: RV21, R23, RV29, RV19 / YG01, YG23, YG25, YG67 / YR30, Y23, YR21, YR23 / B21, B23, B24, B26 / E30, E31, E33, E34 / W00, W0, W1 / 0 / W3, W5, W7, W9

Pretty Pink Posh: Bright Everyday Toucans

Once my images were coloured, I cut them out. While I had my die cutting machine out, I used the Stitched Borders 1 Dies and cut the scalloped border from blue and white cardstock and the curved border from brown. I then used the Stitched Notes Dies and cut the rectangle from vellum. I cut down a yellow piece of cardstock to around 2 ¼” wide by 4 ½” tall. I then adhered my blue waves piece to the bottom and the curved brown piece on top at the bottom as well using foam tape. I then added adhesive to the backs of all my images and adhered them into place as well.

Pretty Pink Posh: Bright Everyday Toucans

I adhered my scene on top of the vellum rectangle and then added foam tape onto the back where you couldn’t see the adhesive and adhere it down onto my water-coloured stencil background. I used my white scalloped border and adhered it to the left-hand side of my panel for more interest. Lastly, I white heat embossed the ‘Sending You Sunshine’ sentiment from Tropical Birds onto a strip of black cardstock. I added foam tape onto the back, adhered it into place and tied a little hemp cord bow onto the right-hand side of it for more texture. I also added a few jewels from the Luau Jewel Mix scattered around the card as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed this fun card!

Creating Everyday Greeting Cards + Video

Hello, Pretty Pink Posh’ fans! This is Yana Smakula. In this video, I’ll show you how to use the Pond Friends stamp set to make sweet greeting cards for our friends.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I started to work on my cards by stamping images from the Pond Friends stamp set in alcohol marker friendly ink and cutting the images out using coordinating dies. Next, I colored them using my Copic markers to bring these cute swans to life.

Pretty Pink Posh: Creating Everyday Greeting Cards + Video

I used the following colors:

  • W1 and RV00 as well as a colorless blender to color the swans gray and pink
  • E31, E33
  • YG01, YG03, G94
  • BG45, BG11.

I have two card ideas to share today. For my card #1, I wanted to use scraps of colored cardstock to create layers of water, if you will, on my card. I like to have fun and unique backgrounds on my cards using I can always achieve that with the help of colored cardstock. I cut several colors of cardstock to 1 3/4” tall x 4 ¼” strips and used my scissors to freehand a wave on each of those pieces.

Pretty Pink Posh: Creating Everyday Greeting Cards + Video

You can use a die, Pretty Pink Posh has several die sets that would work perfectly for cutting little waves or hills like these, I didn’t have any on hand, so I freehand the cuts using scissors.

Lately, I love to add ink blending to my backgrounds, not colored ink blending, but white. White pigment ink is a fantastic tool to help you soften the background and create various effects on paper. I’ve been using it a lot recently to make clouds for my cards and today I decided I might as well use it to make water. I grabbed my ink blending tool and blended white ink onto my hand-cut panels to make that background. I also did the same thing to make a background for the 2nd card I’m sharing today.

Pretty Pink Posh: Creating Everyday Greeting Cards + Video

The white ink isn’t as visible on the lighter colors of cardstock, but it still adds a nice touch and softens the color of the cardstock beautifully. With the panels ink blended I used glue and adhered them to another scrap cardstock panel. Next, I brought in my paper trimmer and cut the panel to 3 3/4” by 5” giving me a beautiful 1/4” white mat when adhered to an A2 white card base.

Pretty Pink Posh: Creating Everyday Greeting Cards + Video

With the background panel created I arranged the images to create a scene on my card and adhered everything in place using a mix of foam adhesive for dimension and glue. I also used my white Sakura pen and added a lot of white pen details to these images to make them pop. Seeing how the scene is set on water, I added details to the background as well – little water rings here and there to make it look somewhat more realistic.

I also added a bunch of Sea Glass Jewels – I scattered them around the images filling the background in. I got so carried away building the scene, that I completely forgot about the sentiment for this card! Luckily, I had room for a skinny strip sentiment at the bottom and I stamped one that reads Hello Friend. This sentiment comes from an older stamp set, Birdie Friends

Let’s take a look at the 2nd card. I made the background for this card in the same manner as for the previous card – I ink blended white pigment ink over a light blue cardstock panel. Here, I also added some scoring to the background to make it more interesting, I shared this technique in my Valentine’s Day video last year, please do check it out if you’d like to learn how to create this scored background.

Pretty Pink Posh: Creating Everyday Greeting Cards + Video

I trimmed the panel to 3 3/4 x 5” and foam mounted to the A2 white card base. For this card I placed two swans, a pink and a gray one, looking at each other in the center of my panel and added the rest of the elements around them creating a scene.

Pretty Pink Posh: Creating Everyday Greeting Cards + Video

This time I did plan for a sentiment, I stamped one from the Pond Friends stamp set and it reads You Are So Very Special To Me. I stamped it in black ink on a skinny white cardstock strip and foam mounted it to the card to give it a bit of a lift. I used the same Sea Glass Jewels to embellish this project and again, I scattered them around the scene to add interest to my background.

TIP: if you have trouble holding the little embellishments, a Crystal Katana Pick- Up Tool helps when you are placing small embellishments!

Have fun stamping!

Creating Glitz Gel Stencil Backgrounds + Video

Good morning! Heather here today to share a couple cards using a couple of different Background Stencils from Pretty Pink Posh with Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel. I’m sharing two different ways to use these products together – both with lots of shimmer and sparkle!

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

Pretty Pink Posh: Creating Glitz Gel Backgrounds + Video

For this first card, I paired up the Birthday Background Stencil with Turquoise Glitz Glitter Gel, holding it in place with a bit of Purple Tape. SO fun and sparkly! Then I added the Balloon Shaker die cut from white cardstock with a bit of vellum tucked behind to help those words pop. I also added a secondary sentiment using Party Friends stamp set, heat embossed on a bit of black cardstock. Final finishing touch was a bit of jute string tied around the bottom of the balloon.

Pretty Pink Posh: Creating Glitz Gel Backgrounds + Video

The second version was created by attaching the Tropical Background stencil with Pixie Spray, then blending Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Dried Marigold, Abandoned Coral, and Wilted Violet over the background, then using White Glitter Glitz Gel over the background before removing the stencil. It dries sparkly and clear, so you can see that fun ink blending over the background! Finished this one off very similar to the first, but using the Aloha Shaker Die and Tropical Birds stamp set for the additional sentiment.

Pretty Pink Posh: Creating Glitz Gel Backgrounds + Video

I love the background stencils from Pretty Pink Posh – how they add such a fun look to your backgrounds! And pairing them up with Glitter Gels makes them even more fun – especially when you can think of more ways to use them! Which version is your favorite?

Spring Watercolor Crocus Flowers + Video

Hi, Friends! This is Caly! My project for Pretty Pink Posh this month features the Crocus Flowers. These are one of my favorite early spring blooms and are a sure sign that winter is nearly over.  I’ve decided to do a watercolor card and I hope you’ll watch the YouTube video that’s up on the Pretty Pink Posh YouTube Channel!

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I did no-line watercoloring using Daniel Smith watercolors. Traditionally, I would color with the darkest shades at the base of the bloom, but crocuses are special and their darkest colors are usually at the tip of the flower so I applied my color at the tips and blended the color towards the center.

Pretty Pink Posh: Spring Watercolor Crocus Flowers + Video

No-line coloring is easy for these images because the lines are simple and the petals are big so it gives you a lot of room to work.  The leaves are also simple even though they are longer to add color and blend from dark to light.

Pretty Pink Posh: Spring Watercolor Crocus Flowers + Video

My background is also created with watercolor.  I wanted to do a soft ground covering of soil so I used a gray ink to dab color where I wanted my flowers to bloom from and added yellow just above it to add a soft glow behind the flowers.

Daniel smith watercolors: Carbazole Violet, Sap Green, Deep Sap Green, Neutral Tint, Phthalo Blue GS, Cadmium Yellow, Quinacridone Gold

Pretty Pink Posh: Spring Watercolor Crocus Flowers + Video

My sentiment is from the Pond Friends set and I embossed it in white over black cardstock.  To embellish my card, I added Sparkling Clear Confetti in various places to add sparkle to my card. I hope you enjoyed this!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Hummingbird Hello

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I have a card using the Hummingbird Thanks stamp set along with the Tic Tac Toe die, Hello Friend die and also using some Mini Action Wobblers to make the hummingbirds move.

Pretty Pink Posh: Hummingbird Hello

To begin my card today, I stamped out my hummingbirds from the Hummingbirds Thanks stamp set and coloured them in with Copic Markers. I used a Yellow, Green and Aqua colour scheme and coloured the hummingbirds accordingly. Once they were coloured, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then took out my Mini Action Wobblers and cut off some of the excess plastic to make it fit behind my hummingbirds. Once I cut off the excess I went ahead and adhered them behind my hummingbird images. I then set them off to the side to work on the rest of my card.

Copic Markers used: BG11, BG23, BG49 / W00, W0, W3 / Y11, Y35, Y38 / YG21, YG23, YG17

Pretty Pink Posh: Hummingbird Hello

Next up, I took the Tic Tac Toe die and cut it out of some white cardstock. I then adhered thin strips of foam tape onto the back and set it off to the side also. Next, I took a piece of watercolour cardstock and ink blended some Distress Inks over it. I used Peacock Feathers, then Twisted Citron and Mustard Seed on top to create a nice blend. I then flicked some water on the background to create a splattered look and dried it off with a heat tool. Then I used the We R Memory Keepers Geometric Embossing Folder to emboss my distress inked piece. Once that was run through my Big Shot Machine I went ahead and adhered my Tic Tac Toe die on top in the centre. Next up, I used the Hello Friend Script die cut, added some Stick It adhesive on the back of some white cardstock and cut the ‘Hello’ word out three times. Then, I adhered them all together and used some grey Copic Markers to add a little shading on the bottom of the word.

Pretty Pink Posh: Hummingbird Hello

Next up, I went ahead and adhered my two hummingbirds on their action wobblers onto opposite corners of my card, then adhered the ‘Hello’ word in the centre of the card. Lastly, I adhered some Clear Droplets in both 4mm and 6mm around my card and adhered my panel onto a top folding card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired and I’ll catch you next time.

Color Block Valentine

Jeanne here today for a last minute Valentine’s Day card. Love is in the air! I can’t resist the clean graphic look of a color block card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Color Block Valentine

This card starts with the bright block background. If you look close you’ll see a stitched pattern along two edges of each of the squares. I cut the four colorful card stock panels with the Stitched Notes die. I trimmed each of the panels to 2 x 2 5/8” before adhering them to the card base.

Pretty Pink Posh: Color Block Valentine

I colored the LOVE stamp set images with Copic markers.  I used the coordinating die set to cut the stamped letters and another set from gold glitter card stock. The letters are slightly over laid so that the gold glitter paper peeks out.

Pretty Pink Posh: Color Block Valentine

The letters are adhered with adhesive foam tape and little flowers (also included in the LOVE stamp set) are tucked underneath.

Pretty Pink Posh: Color Block Valentine

I know I’ll be reaching for this set for all the heart felt occasions worth celebrating!

I hope that this card inspired you.

Creating 3 Cards with 1 Stamp set: Elephant Friends

Hello friends, Eloise here today for another three cards, one stamp set. Today I’m using the Elephant Friends Stamp Set along with a few other dies and stencils to create these cards. I went quite simple this time around for cards, creating simple backgrounds with Distress Oxide Inks and then using dies to make them a little more interesting.

Pretty Pink Posh- Creating 3 Cards with 1 Stamp set: Elephant Friends

To start off I stamped and coloured all the images I was using from the Elephant Friends Stamp Set. Once they were coloured, I cut them out. I arranged them into piles to make sure I had the right images for each card.

Copic Markers Used: W00, W0, W1, W3 / R000, R00, R30 / Y11, Y13, Y18, YR23 / W3, W5 / RV10, RV13, RV25, RV19 / YR00, YR02, YR12, YR18 / Y00, Y11, Y13, Y18

Pretty Pink Posh- Creating 3 Cards with 1 Stamp set: Elephant Friends

For my first card, I created a galaxy background. I used Distress Oxide Inks to complete this look. Once they were all blended, I flicked on some water and dried it off with a heat tool. I then hand cut white cardstock and vellum layers to look like clouds, adhered them together, popped them up on foam tape and adhered to my galaxy background.

Distress Oxide Inks Used: Fossilized Amber, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Black Soot

Pretty Pink Posh- Creating 3 Cards with 1 Stamp set: Elephant Friends

I then added spots of a glitter pen on top of the white clouds and also gold heat embossed the sentiment ‘Big Hugs’ onto the background. I added foam tape onto the backs of one of my elephants and star balloons and adhered it to the sky as well. That finished up my first card, now let’s move onto the second.

Pretty Pink Posh- Creating 3 Cards with 1 Stamp set: Elephant Friends

For my second card, I created a gradient background with more Oxide Inks. I again splattered with water and dried it off with a heat tool. I cut a white scallop frame from the Scallop Frames Die Set. I added foam tape on the back of the frame and also the images.

Distress Oxide Inks Used: Seedless Preserves, Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron, Scattered Straw

Pretty Pink Posh- Creating 3 Cards with 1 Stamp set: Elephant Friends

I then adhered the frame onto the background in the centre and adhered my images inside the frame. For the sentiment, I took the ‘You’re A Star’, cut it in half and white heat embossed the ‘You’re A’ part onto a thin black strip. I cut it down and stuck it behind the star, so the image finishes the sentiment. The second card is all complete, now onto the last card.

Pretty Pink Posh- Creating 3 Cards with 1 Stamp set: Elephant Friends

For my final card I used the new Wide Stripes Stencil and adhered it over the top of a square piece of cardstock. I ink blended different Oxide colours into each stripe and splattered it with water. I dried it off and took the Mini Storybook 1 Dies and cut it from white cardstock. I trimmed around the frame and added foam tape onto the backs as well as the images that were left.

Distress Oxide Inks Used: Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Scattered Straw

Pretty Pink Posh- Creating 3 Cards with 1 Stamp set: Elephant Friends

I then adhered the frame into the centre of the card as well as my images inside. I white heat embossed the remaining small ‘Big Hugs’ sentiment onto a thin black strip and adhered it on the top right-hand side.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you were inspired by these cards!

Hi friends! It’s Jeanne here today!  The thing I miss most in the winter months is gardening.  I love to spend time outdoors watching the birds and the bees. I’m always amazed at how a little seed becomes a plant, and absolutely thrilled when I see a hummingbird at the feeder.

Ever since I was little the ladybug has been just magical to me. Of course they were on the “nice” list because they’re “ladies” after all, and I knew the ladies wouldn’t harm me.  I would sing the childhood rhyme and blow on them to send them home to their families, or count their spots to see who had the most.

Pretty Pink Posh: Ladybug Friends + Free Gift for 2 More Days!

My card starts with a lime green background panel layered with some Zig Zag Stacked Edges 1.  I wanted to give the base a variegated leaf feel – the perfect place for my garden friends. I topped the panel with the Tropical Frame from white card stock.

The sweet little ladybugs are colored with Copic markers.  I adhered them with adhesive foam tape for more dimension. The finishing touch is just a few Shamrock jewels for some sparkle and shine.
