Colorful Crafty Background

Hello crafty friends! It’s Leica here today with a fun card that would be perfect to give to a fellow crafty friend, using the new Crafty Background Stencil and Crafty Sentiments stamp set. I decided to make a shaker card using these sets.

Pretty Pink Posh: Colorful Crafty Background

I first cut a 5.5 inch square panel in white cardstock for the card base. I then ink blended through the Crafty Background Stencil.

Next, I cut a frame for the shaker using square shaped dies. I glued a sheet of acetate on the back of the frame and stamped the sentiment with Stazon Jet Black Ink before adding foam tape to create the shaker well.

Pretty Pink Posh: Colorful Crafty Background

For the shaker bits, I went with Cupcake Clay Confetti and Blue Sky Seed Beads. I just love the way it sounds when you shake the card! Lastly, I adhered the card panel onto a 5.5 inch square card panel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope that I’ve inspired you to make a card with the new Crafty Background Stencil and Crafty Sentiments stamp set. Enjoy your day!

Bold Spring Foliage

Good morning! It’s Lindsey here today.  It’s no secret that I was smitten by the Fall Foliage dies from the moment they were released. I rave about and create with them all of the time, so you can imagine my delight as soon as I laid eyes on the Spring Foliage dies! This set is packed with the same fabulousness, but in a slightly smaller scale and with the addition of stitched lines.

Pretty Pink Posh: Bold Spring Foliage

The Spring Foliage dies can be colored and dressed up, but I also appreciate that their beauty can stand alone even in plain white, which is obviously the direction I chose to go here. Paired with a dark navy card base, it is quite the striking combo.

Pretty Pink Posh: Bold Spring Foliage

I created this card in a somewhat mirroring pattern. I used the newly released Praying For You Script die as the center focal point and built my design outward from there. Starting with the largest greenery, I placed one in the top left corner and a second matching die cut in the bottom right. Then I repeated the pattern on the opposite corners with a similar piece of greenery.  Visually it creates an “X”.

Next I put a large flower in the center of the top and bottom and placed smaller flowers on opposite sides creating another visual “X”. I kept building outward, repeating the design with smaller images until I had filled pretty much every nook and cranny.

Pretty Pink Posh: Bold Spring Foliage

I had so much fun making this card. The puzzle-loving side of me enjoyed finding just the right piece to fit in each spot, and amazingly I only had to run the dies through the die machine twice to get everything I needed (with lots of extras leftover)

Pretty Pink Posh: Bold Spring Foliage

I’ve been blown away by this whole release and have had so much fun creating with everything in it, but I have to admit that the two dies I’ve used today are my absolute favorites.  They are most definitely worth adding to your collection!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. For more inspiration, head to the Pretty Pink Posh Instagram– we’re kicking off a three day hop there!

Sweet Layered Letters

Hello, Gemma here. I’m using the fabulous new Layered Letters stencil set on my card today. I love using layered stencils as they create amazing backgrounds, quickly and easily.

Pretty Pink Posh: Sweet Layered Letters

I began with a 6″ square piece of card and Hickory Smoke distress oxide ink. I blended lightly through Layer B of the stencil set, concentrating the colour around the edges.

Next, I chose a rainbow of distress oxide inks and blended them through Layer A of the stencil set. The vibrant colours show up well over the grey ink.

Pretty Pink Posh: Sweet Layered Letters

Here is a list of the distress oxides I used for Layer A: Saltwater Taffy, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Shabby Shutters, Salvaged Patina, Shaded Lilac, Kitsch Flamingo.

For the last layer, I used Nuvo Glacier Paste in Golden Era. The shine is beautiful! Make sure to clean off the stencil well after using any kind of paste. The panel will need to dry for a few hours, too.

Pretty Pink Posh: Sweet Layered Letters

Once the panel was fully dry, I trimmed it down to 5.25″ and adhered it to my card base.

For the sentiment, I cut a Stitched Strip of coloured card and stamped a greeting from the previously released Sending Love stamp set. I also cut a thinner strip of gold mirror card, then adhered both to my card to finish.

Pretty Pink Posh: Sweet Layered Letters

I hope you enjoyed this card. If you’re on Instagram, there will be a reel of how to create this card up very soon.

Hello friends! It’s Leica here today with a slimline card using the new Crafty Days and Crafty Sentiments stamp sets from the May 2022 release.

Pretty Pink Posh: Blog Hop + May Release Now Available

I started my card by cutting a pink panel in 3.5 x 8.5 inches. I then cut a smaller panel in white cardstock. I didn’t want the background to be too plain, so I stamped it with the border stamps in Old Paper Distress Oxide Inks. I think it turned out so cute!

Pretty Pink Posh: Blog Hop + May Release Now Available

Next, I stamped the images from the Crafty Days stamp set, colored them with Copic markers and cut with the coordinating die. I then cut 3 of the scalloped squares in different colors. I adhered the images onto the scalloped squares and stamped the sentiment onto the teal one. The squares were then foam mounted onto the card panel. I also glued a pink heart for added interest to the card. Lastly, I adhered the card panel onto a slimline card base.

That’s all for this card! The Crafty Sentiments stamp set is definitely one of my faves from the new release and I can’t wait to make more cards for my crafty friends!

Day 2: Blog Hop + May Release Now Available

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE

Hello crafty friends. It’s Lisa Mears here.  As we come to the end of the school year, it’s so important to thank a teacher and let them know how much they are appreciated. Today I’m using several new products to create a thank you card for a teacher.

Pretty Pink Posh: Blog Hop + May Release Now Available

For my card background, I added distress inks in rainbow colors to the Pinstripe stencil.  When I finished adding the ink, I sprayed the stencil with water to clean it, but before wiping the ink off the stencil with a paper towel, I pressed the inked stencil into another piece of cardstock to create a second background. This is a great way to make two for one backgrounds. I just love the watercolor look of the pinstripes in the background of my card.

I used a border from the Crafty Days stamp set and adhered it to the bottom of the stenciled background. I also created a tag for the top of the card using the Scallop Square Tag dies. I added a piece of black cardstock to the green tag. The black cardstock measures 2 ¾” x 3”. I die cut the Thank You Script die from white cardstock and adhered it to front. I chose to use black cardstock for the background and white cardstock for the words because I wanted it to resemble a chalkboard.

Pretty Pink Posh: Blog Hop + May Release Now Available

When gluing the tag to the card, I only applied glue to the left, right, and bottom edges of the tag. I left the middle free from glue so I can place a gift card inside. If you do not want to add a gift card, you can simply apply glue to the entire backside of the tag and adhere it to the card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Blog Hop + May Release Now Available

For the inside of the card, I added two borders from the Crafty Days stamp set and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I adhered the borders to the bottom edge of the card. I added a sentiment from the Crafty Sentiments stamp set.

Pretty Pink Posh: Blog Hop + May Release Now Available

Another option for adding a gift card is to insert the gift card behind the border on the inside of the card like shown here.

Hey crafty friends, it’s Amanda here and I’m thrilled to be a guest at PPP this month! This Spring Flowers card also features the new Mini Grid stencil and Crafty Sentiments stamp set.

I started by stamping my florals with a gray copic friendly ink and then colored them with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out and arranged them in two random bunches. Next, I used liquid glue to adhere the flower bundles together and put an acrylic block on top to help them dry flat.

Pretty Pink Posh: Blog Hop + May Release Now Available

While those were drying, I cut a piece of teal cardstock and layered the new Mini Grid stencil over the top. I randomly spread Thermoweb Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel through the holes, intentionally not covering the whole panel.

While that panel was drying, I die cut a while Scallop Diamond Tag and stamped a sentiment from Crafty Sentiments in the center. I arranged the floral bursts around it and glued them together.

For my card assembly, I added the stenciled panel to a white card base and popped up the frame from the Nature Essentials die with foam strips. Finally I added the florals and sentiment with foam tape as well. I kept my finishing touches simple today by just adding glossy accents to all of the flower centers.

Between the background sparkle and the random shine in the flowers, I just adore this finished card! I hope you do too!

Next, I die cut 4 leafy borders from white cardstock using the Stitched Leafy Borders die, then adhered them on white card base using fine tip glue pen. I lightly drew a circle line on the centre of the leafy base using pencil, and then adhered flower die cuts along the circle line using foam tape first, and then added leaves.

Sneak Peek: May 2022 Stencils

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today sharing a sneak peek of two of the new stencils coming to Pretty Pink Posh on May 16th. There are five new stencils being released, which include a fun Pinstripe, Mini Grid, Layered Letters and the two I will be using today.

Sneak Peek: May 2022 Stencils

For my first card I am using the new Layered Spring Flowers stencil pack. This is a three pack of stencils that can be layered together to create the most adorable background. I used dye ink and a blending brush to create my panel. The first two layers create the flowers and then the final layer is the flower’s center. For the last layer I used Glitz Glitter Gel in white to give the flowers a little extra sparkle.

Sneak Peek: May 2022 Stencils

For my sentiment, I used the new Celebration Scripts set. This is a great set of sentiments, perfect for so many occasions. Next, I used the Spring Foliage dies to create my white flowers and leaves. These dies are just the sweetest. There are so many options for building bouquets, floral clusters and accents. I know it is a set of dies that I will use often. Lastly, I added Light Orchid and Creamsicle pearls to my flower’s centers to finish my card.

Sneak Peek: May 2022 Stencils

My second card uses the new Crafty Background stencil set

Sneak Peek: May 2022 Stencils

The Crafty Background stencil set is a pack of three stencils that layer together to make the most adorable background. It’s perfect for your favorite crafter and coordinates perfectly with all the new craft supplies sets that will be available with the new release. To create my panel, I used dye ink, finger daubers along with a little post-it tape for some masking.

Sneak Peek: May 2022 Stencils

Next, I used the dies from the new Crafty Days die set to create my frame. I then used the Crafty Critters set for my sentiment, mouse and craft supplies. I colored the images with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Lastly, I attached my frame to the center of my card panel with foam adhesive and attached everything to an A2 card base.

Sneak Peek: May 2022 Stencils

Thanks for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed my cards and I can’t wait to see what you create with these fun new products.

Enjoy your day, Dana

Sneak Peek: Celebration Scripts + Spring Flowers

Hi folks, Kavya here with another fun sneak peek of the new release! If you love crafting and florals – THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU! I absolutely love what PPP did with the theme! My card today is an extension of my love for creating mini envelopes for my cards. I created a mini bouquet of flowers this time around to hold the gorgeous florals from the Spring Flowers set

Sneak Peek: Celebration Scripts + Spring Flowers

I first started off by creating my background by ink blending Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers distress oxide inks. I then used the Pinstripe Stencil create a fun background.

Sneak Peek: Celebration Scripts + Spring Flowers

For the bouquet, I used a square piece of cream cardstock. I then folded it using the Kite fold like shown in the diagram but just make sure that the edges overlap instead of meeting at the center. Fold two flaps at the top and you are done!

Sneak Peek: Celebration Scripts + Spring Flowers

Then, I filled the bouquet with some stamped and colored Spring Flowers and added a sentiment from Celebration Scripts to finish off my card.

Sneak Peek: Celebration Scripts + Spring Flowers

Wasn’t that fun? Love how this turned out! Check back tomorrow for more sneak peeks of the May 16th release!

Happy Crafting, Kavya

Sneak Peek: Crafty Critters

Hi friends, it’s Elaine from Pink Peppermint Cards on the Pretty Pink Posh blog today.  I am absolutely delighted to be back to share a sneak peek at some of the products releasing May 16th. One set may look familiar as it was a free gift earlier this year but now it’ll be available for purchase!

Sneak Peek: Crafty Critters

I started this card with a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock measuring 6.5” x 4”. I treated the whole panel of cardstock with an antistatic powder tool and used my Misti stamping tool to repeat stamp the pen, pencil and crayon border stamp from the Crafty Days stamp set with Versamark Ink. I used a fine white embossing powder to coat the clear inked panel and then heat set the powder until smooth and glossy. Taking my Distress Ink pad in Worn Lipstick I ink blended on to the panel with a blending brush, ensuring the focus of the color was around the edges and using a lighter hand towards the middle. Once I was happy with the ink blending, I cut the panel down to 5.75” x 3.25”.  The panel was set aside to dry while I worked on the other elements of the card.

Sneak Peek: Crafty Critters

I stamped the images from Crafty Critters stamp set with a black dye ink on to copic friendly cardstock. I then used my copic markers to color these super cute images! Here are the colors I used:

Koala: W4, W3, W1, W0, RV02, RV10

Mouse: E44, E43, E42, E41, E40, RV02, RV10

Paint pallet: C3, C1, C00, R27, R24, YR07, YR04, Y17, Y13, G07, G02, B26, B23

Paint brush: E27, E23, E55

Once the coloring was done, I cut out all the images with the Crafty Critters coordinating dies.

I created a card base for this card by cutting a piece of heavyweight white card 7”x 6” and scored the longest edge at 3.5”, this gave me a 6”x 3.5” side folding cardbase. I popped some foam tape on the back of the embossed ink blended panel and adhered it to the cardbase.  To create a focal point for my little critters I cut the largest frame from the Stitched Photo Frames Die set twice and popped a layer of vellum behind the opening. I used a black pigment ink to stamp the sentiment included in the Crafty Critters stamp set on to each of the frames. I secured the frames to the front of the card with liquid adhesive and then secured the little critters and their accessories on top.

Sneak Peek: Crafty Critters

Using a white gel pen I added a few highlights to the colored images and some black glaze gel pen to finish off the nose and eyes. Finally, I added a few pink clay hearts because I can never get enough of clay hearts and I’m calling this card done!

Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you enjoyed taking a quick sneak at some of the new products releasing this month, these products are perfect for creating some fun projects your crafty pals!

Happy crafting! Elaine xxx
