Day 2: October Blog Hop

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE

Hello Crafty Friends–Jill here and I’m excited to share a bit of fun with the brand new Pretty Pink Posh Release!

I had SNOW much fun creating this classic looking Holiday Card with the new Snowflake Shaker, Holly Jolly Shadow die and the Snowflakes stamp set

I wanted to use the Snowflake Shaker as a featured main element on a card and the Snowflakes Stamps are the perfect partner in black and white. Black & white with a splash of color is a classic look for any occasion and I especially love it for the Holidays!

I die cut the Holly Jolly Shadow die twice (once out of white cardstock and once out of black) and layered those together with a spray adhesive. Then I randomly stamped a white cardstock panel with all the different snowflakes in the Snowflakes stamp set with black ink. I recommend starting with the largest snowflakes and moving down to the smallest as you fill in the panel. I am a fan of the Snowflakes stamp set due to its plethora of stamps and array of snowflake sizes, making it easy to create your own background panel 1-2-3!

I die cut the Snowflake Shaker snowflake twice in a deep red cardstock. I stitched the top piece before gluing it to the second layer. By using two layers of cardstock and layering your design elements, it gives the in-person feel a little more heft. Wanting to create even more dimension, I added dimensional foam adhesive to the back of the snowflake to adhere it to the card base. I then added on the sentiment with liquid glue and voila–A holiday winter card ready to go!

This card could easily be mass produced by simply using one layer for the die cut elements and using your MISTI to create the snowflake panels. It would also be fun to mix up the colors of cardstock you use for the Snowflake Shaker die cut. The stitching details this die creates give this snowflake snow much added sweetness! 🙂

PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. We are giving away 3 $50 gift certificates to three random comments (1 winner each day) left before October 22, 2024 at 11:59 PM PST.
