Remember how I mentioned I may post more than one card at a time? Well, today I have THREE brand new ones to show you. Unfortunately these were all rejects from a recent publication call….I thought they had potential, but I guess it just didn’t work this time around.
This first card showcases one of my favorite dies at the moment; Ornamental by Tim Holtz. I just love this shape! I was eyeing the SU! one for quite some time, but didn’t want to go through the hassle of buying through a rep. When I went to a recent show, I saw that Maria from It’s Cheaper Than Therapy carried it. PERFECT! I was able to support my girl, plus I got a really awesome product. ;)
This next card features softer colors, which also just happens to be my favorite from the bunch. There’s something so fresh and inviting about this card. Oh yes and I can’t forgot to mention this scrumptious Celery grosgrain w/ satin edge! Seriously love this style of ribbon! I bought a lot and have already used it all! :)
This last card features more bold and rich colors. You’ll notice that I used the delicious Red grosgrain w/ satin edge on this one. Isn’t that bow awesome? Love how easy it is to create such nice big bows!
So, which of the three cards was your favorite? Since there’s so many cards, I’m not going to type out all of the supplies used, but I DID want to point out that these fabulous hot air balloons are from the Look Up set. This set has sold out so many times…..be sure to get it while there’s still some in stock! ;)
Thanks for stopping by! I’d love for you to leave me a comment- I miss hearing from my blog readers!
Who else is super thrilled about the Cuddly Critters blog hop? If you have started from the beinning, you should have come from Rebeka’s blog. (It’s always nice to know you’re on the right track!) Okay, back ot the post….. If you can see me right now, I’m just about jumping for excitement- I am thrilled that today has come! When I first came up with the idea for the Cuddly Critters theme, I knew that I would have a tough time deciding which stamp to use. If you know DeNami, you know we have a BUNCH of adorable critters…. everything from dogs to owl to the adorable chickies! Since it’s been a while since I used the chickies, I thought I’d chose one of those designs. :)
For this card, I pulled out the super cute Chickie Tree. Since they look like they are in a choir, I thought I’d add some of the Mini Music Notes. Love how they are the perfect size to go with the chickies! At the bottom of the card, I create a border with the Olive rhinestones. LOVE this color!
If you have done “the hop”, this is your last stop. However, if you’ve just joined in the fun, be sure to head over to the DeNami Design blog to start from the beginning! There’s two DeNami gift certificates up for grabs to those who are hopping along- all you have to do is leave comments! Super easy, right? **Be sure to leave your comments before Sept. 16, 11:59pm, PST to be eligible for a prize.**
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me some love!
Yippee! It’s the third Wednesday of the month, which means it’s time for the product spotlight on the DeNami Design blog! I was really excited about this spotlight because I just LOVE this particular set.
The product spotlight this month is the Halloween stamp set. Each of these stamps are great, but I just love the little spider. He is so happy looking! On this card, I colored him in a light shade of purple then added Lavender Frost glitter– seriously, how cute are the SPARKLY spiders?! :) Did you happen to notice the twine detailing I added in between the different color papers? It adds some extra texture and character to this sweet card. *wink*
Be sure to stop by the other DeNami DT member blogs- there are so many creative ideas using this set!
Lately I have been super motivated to do challenges and the like. After I finished my blog hop & DT projects, I felt like searching for my next challenge. The target this time: Kazan’s Sketch #61. I miss not playing with the 2S4Y challenges- they are always so fun and inspiring! This one was no exception…..
For this card, I pulled out Critters in the Sea. Seriously, how adorable are those little turtles? I pulled out my Copics and went to town. After I finished the card, I felt like the card was lacking; hence the Baby Blue rhinestones! :)
I hope that this card inspired you. Tomorrow I’ll be back with TWO super awesome DeNami posts- one of them being the featured product and the other my Cuddly Critters Blog Hop post! I cannot wait to show you what I have had up my sleeves……
Thanks for stopping by, sweeties! Have a fabulous day!
Stamps: Critters in the Sea (Lawn Fawn), Fresh Alphabet, Polka Dot Basics (PTI)
Paper White, Sky Blue, Simply Chartreuse, Bitty Dot Basics (PTI)
Did the title throw you off at all? Not to worry, I”m not falling for anyone…..at the moment. There are days when I wish I was falling for someone, but at the moment I’m very single. Girls, know anyone cute, Christian guys in Washington state? ;)
Today I’m sharing one of the cards from the Fall Fest release. I almost always have “extra” cards from the new releases, so I have to narrow down which ones I want to post. However, lately I have been strongly considering posting more than one card, if I have something with the same stamps. Anyhow, back to the card…..this one is the exact same layout as this card. It’s so fun to see the layout in two different season cards, isn’t it? I used the awesome leaves from Fall Fest and created some fun patterned paper. Added a touch of scallop cork and this card was finished in a flash.
I hope you have a great Monday! I’ll see you back on the blog tomorrow!
Thank you to those who left well wishes for me. I’m feeling a tad bit better. There’s an ugly bug floating around and I was super sad (and frustrated) that it hit me. I was starting to feel a whole lot better then yesterday a wave of nausea hit me. Can I say that being sick is no bueno?
I recently got Critters in the Sea by Lawn Fawn and have been LOVING this set. When I was younger, dolphins were my favorite- don’t ask why, I really don’t know. With that being said, I just couldn’t help but pull out the dolphin first. :) I paired this set up with some of my DeNami stamps: Stitched Circle and Polka Dot Background. Love how they look so awesome together!
These past few days I’ve been creating a ton of cards. I’m really considering posting a few at a time for a little bit- anyone opposed to this idea? Seriously, I’d love to hear your thoughts….
I have sad news, the sickness bug has taken over me. It’s such a rough start to a weekend. I was truly hoping to avoid getting sick this season, but maybe it’s best so I won’t get it later? *crossing fingers* Gonna do my best to lay low and regain some strength. If you don’t hear from me, you’ll know why….
Today I’m bringing another one of my magaine “reject” cards. I have to say, I really truly love this card. The colors are so fresh and well, there’s a pretty flower on it! For the background, I used the AWESOME Three Line Border by DeNami Design. I have another card coming up that features this stamp, and I also did a video with it! :)
Well, I hope you all stay nice and healthy. I’ll talk to you (hopefully) soon!
Stamps: Three Line Border, Polka Dot Basics, Vintage Labels, Communique Sentiments (PTI)
I don’t know if school has officially started for those around you, but today it starts in this part of Washington. It wasn’t too long ago where I was dreading going back to school after the summer….sure, there was some fun times (back to school shopping), but I never really thought school was *fun*. Looking back, I wish I had studied more in certain areas, but well, that’s a thing of the past. ;)
Lately I have been loving Guiding Light from WPlus9. Today I wanted to play with the boat stamp from the set. Seriously, who knew a boat could be so awesome?
In closing, I wanted to let you all know that DeNami Design is having their first warehouse sale next Thursday (September 16). There’s going to be lots of markers, ribbons, papers AND for the first time, we’ll have some unmounted stamps in surprise bags! Lots of great deals, plus, you can come meet me.
Today I am excited to be showing my very first batch of cupcake toppers, along with some other fun goodies. I cannot begin to tell you how much fun I had creating these items! If you are anything like me, you enjoy cupcakes….a lot. There’s something about all the different flavors and the fact that they aren’t too terribly big.
These first few pictures showcase the cupcake toppers. Oh goodness gracious, I want to make hundreds of these things! How can you not help but smile when you see that adorable spider. (Can I even say that?!) Also, how cute is the Friendly Bat?
Don’t these Cookies ‘N Cream cupcakes look delicious? Boy, they were! Did you notice the glittery spiders? I saw them at Pier 1 and couldn’t help but pick them up. :)
Seriously, a green bat? Now if bats were really this color, I might not be terrified of them *wink* Did you notice the webs? That is from the awesome Halloween stamp set!
Here’s another peek at the cupcakes…
Here’s the invite for the special event. I had so much fun creating the patterned paper! Would you believe that it only took three stamps and a stamp set to create ALL of these items?
Here’s the picture of all the items together. Did you notice the little banner in the background? I created those using clothespins! They’re so handy for keeping items together, but they also help decorate for a party!
Happy Monday!I hope you all are having a blessed Labor Day weekend. It’s been very relaxing for me, which has been really nice. I spent time with my BFF, which was awesome. Got to watch a movie together and then got 90 minute massages. HEAVEN! I already want another one…..
With magazine submissions behind me, I can now share my rejects. (Boy, there are a lot of them!) Today’s card features stamps from Guiding Light by WPlus9. This set is perfect for masculine cards, but also for sympathy ones as well. I never would have guessed I would love stamping with a lighthouse so much! Dawn did a beautiful job designing this entire set.
This weekend has been an emotional rollercoaster for me. No, nothing bad happened…it’s just me being a girl. I love getting pedicures, massages and being pampered, but there are certain aspects of being a girl that are lame. (You know what I’m talking about.) Hopefully my emotions will stay in check today!
I so appreciate you spending some time with me today. You know I always love hearing from you…. Sending big hugs!
