Thanksgiving Theme Week- Day 7 (Plus Giveaway!)
Hi there, Jeanne here. Have you noticed? The leaves are changing colors and there’s a crispness in the air! Fall is officially here! It’s that special time of year when we take the festivities indoors and welcome family and friends into our homes and hearts.
Thanksgiving is always at our house – we have as many people as we can fit around the table and there’s always great food and conversation! I like to send out personal invitations, and special notes to those who can’t make it this time… just to let them know we’re thinking about them as we’re separated by the miles.
I’m smitten with these adorable pilgrims from the Giving Thanks Stamp Set. The set has lots of extras – pumpkins, leaves, and sentiments in the prettiest script font. There’s even a Giving Thanks coordinating die set that has a stamp for each of the images in the set making crafting a breeze!
I created a scene inside a Scallop Circles die – this is the larger of the two circles in the set. It’s perfect for an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5”). Scalloped on the inside and beautiful stitching on the outer edges, these Scallop Circles make everything just a little more elegant! Landscapes couldn’t be easier using the border dies from Pretty Pink Posh. There’s lots of different style borders to choose from. I chose the Scallop Borders Die Set. They coordinate perfectly with the Scallop Circles!
The finishing touch was a sprinkle of Sparkling Clear Sequins – who doesn’t love a little shimmer?

I’ve absolutely loved all the inspiration this week! Focusing a week on a newly released stamp set is perfect! I was so inspired by all the lovely projects this week that I made a altered coffee sleeve with the SWEET Giving Thanks set!

This is oh so sweet!!! I love all the details-the tiny white dots on the face, the little leaves at the bottom of the circle. Just adorable design!!
Oh, and the theme week that I would like to see is being kind to others so maybe friendship? It has been a tough week all around for everyone and I think that we all need to pull together and be kind to one another, no matter what political beliefs you might have.

Well Christmas since it is coming up, but I any would be awesome because we all love to make cards.

Valentine’s is my favorite holiday to craft, so I would love to see that theme. It would also be fun to see a theme for treat packaging.
I think it would be just great to see a Christmas-y birthday card! Many people who’s birthday falls so close to Christmas feel neglected and I think it would be a good touch to show you are thinking of them!

I like the idea of doing a theme week for all the major holidays but how about doing it with a twist. Like Christmas week but you can’t use red or green on the card.
Oh wow! Such amazing idea!!! I love to find new inspiration for different themes! I’m appreciating so much the Thanksgiving theme in these days. In the future I would love to see an Easter theme week.

There could be a theme every month along with all the Holiday Themes of Valentine, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, St. Pat etc.
Blue theme, red theme, green theme. Whatever makes sense.
Great inspiration! I think a masculine theme could be a lot of fun, as that’s something I (and many others!) struggle with. A sympathy theme could be useful for the same reasons. I’d really love to see a Velentine’s theme too (pun not intended!!)

As far as future themes, it is sad but true that I often need sympathy cards. Cards for people going through tough times like a loss or even an illness are things I need help with. Thanks for asking!

Birthday cards are always in demand, all year long, so more birthday themes would be fun. Sadly we’ve been needing too many sympathy cards this year, so some sympathy inspiration would be much appreciated too.
