September Product Release Blog Hop- Day 1

Check out Day 2 of the blog hop HERE

Hi, everyone! It’s Marge here for you  and I’m going to share my cards featuring the adorable Cuddly Cats stamps and coordinating dies from our September Release today.

To begin I stamped the Cuddly Cats images on 80lb Neenah White paper using Memento Black Ink. I used my copic markers to color the images and then I cut them all using the Cuddly Cats coordinating dies. I used my Copic Liner pen to draw knit sweaters for cats and mice as shown in the picture.

For my first card, I wanted to make cozy winter scene, so I trimmed an A2 size Bristol paper and ink blended it using Brushed CorduroyAntique Linen and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide with splatters of white acrylic ink to express snow.

In order to separate the space as brown and blue, I used post-it sticky notes to mask off a part of the panel. After the ink and splatters were dry, I stamped the main sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

Next, I created a fun scene by adding Cuddly Cats images using foam adhesives. A cat is just about to catch a mouse but he might slip and loose it cause he’s stepping on a ball of wool. However the mice won’t make it cause other two cats are already waiting for them ahead, lols !

I further stamped small sentiments like PURR or MEOW near the cats and finished my card by adding Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix.

Next, I decided to go with more clean and simple design for my second card, so here it is.

First I cut a stitched rectangle panel out of white card stock using Stitched Notes Dies and I stamped Simple Sayings: Kind on top it. I then adhered the Cuddly Cats images as shown in the picture. I made the cat peeking out of a box and a pile of knitting wool using foam tape.

I chose yellow-red plaid pattern paper for matting and deep red card stock for a card base. After I foam mounted the white panel onto the plaid matting paper and I adhered Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix as a final embellishment.

PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. I’m giving away 4 $25 gift certificates to four random comments (2 winners each day) left before September 18, 2018 at 11:59 PM PDT. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!

Be sure to leave comments on all the stops- we’ll be randomly picking comments to win gift certificates. See you tomorrow!

Creating 3 Fall Cards + Video

Hi friends, Eloise here today with another video over on the YouTube channel. I’ll be using three of the brand new stamp sets; Halloween Pals, Pumpkin Patch Critters and Cuddly Cats to create three grid design cards. I love using this layout to use many images at once, and to also create quick and easy cards that you can mass produce easily. I’ll be using the same supplies and the same concept for each card as well to make them quicker to make, as well.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

To begin my cards today I started off with stamping out all my images. I used Copic Friendly black ink and Neenah Solar White cardstock. I stamped out a ton of the images, enough to make a grid on each of my cards and then coloured them in with Copic Markers.

Copic Markers Used: E74, E77, E79 / E42, E44, E47 / W0, W1, W3, 0 / YR31, YR24, YR27 / E53, E55, E57 / R00, R20, R22 / R17, R29, R89 / E70, E71 / Y17, YR24, YR27, E37 / E95, E97, E99, E07 / Y17, YR04, YR18, E37 / Y13, Y15, YR23 / YG61, YG63, YG67 / BV02, BV04, BV08 / W5, W7, W9

Now that all my images are coloured, I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. I then set them off to the side in their groups and worked on my card bases. I used some green cardstock to create two regular sized card bases and one square card base for all three of my projects,

I then used the Dotted We R Memory Keepers Embossing Folder to emboss on all three of the card fronts, to just give them a little extra detail. I then added foam tape onto the backs of all my images and arranged them onto my card bases.

Now that all my images were adhered to my card bases in their grid design, my last finishing touch was to add the sentiments. I used the sentiments from each stamp set and white heat embossed them onto strips of black cardstock. I then added more foam tape behind the sentiments and adhered them into place onto my cards.

So that finished up my projects today, super simple and easy to create. Of course, you could go more elaborate on the backgrounds and make them all look more different, but this is just a super simple way to create these simple cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed, and I’ll catch you all next time.

Sweet Cuddly Cats

Hello, Gemma here to share a card featuring the adorable new Cuddly Cats stamp set and coordinating dies. I’m most definitely a cat person so was very excited to see this set in the September release.

My idea for this card came from the love of boxes that all cats seem to share. Whenever I have a box in the house, my cats have to sit in it! I thought it would be fun to create a tower of cats, all wanting to sit in the same box.

I began by stamping the images with a copic friendly black ink, then colouring them with my copic markers. I think cat images are always fun to colour as there are so many possibilities and I love to colour them to look like my own cats. Once coloured, I die cut them with the coordinating dies, then added some white gel pen accents.

For the background, I die cut the Storybook 2 die from white card. I blended some pastel ink colours on to the die cut pieces, then adhered the panel and the pieces onto my card base.

Next, I added the images to the card with foam tape, along with a sentiment from the Cuddly Cats stamp set, which I stamped onto a Stitched Speech Bubble die. I offset the white speech bubble on to another speech bubble inked with purple, to help it stand out.

To finish my card, I added some Pearl White Jewels for sparkle.

Enjoy browsing the Pretty Pink Posh Shop full of the new products. There will be more inspiration with the new release and we’ll have a two day blog hop filled with even more inspiration later this week!

Fall Easel Card Tutorial + Video

Hi everyone, Rina here!

I am loving the transition to fall crafting and wanted to make a super fun fall card with the latest Pretty Pink Posh release. The new Autumn Wreath stamp set pairs up so well with the Pumpkin Patch Critters set so I decided to combine these stamp sets for my ‘Thankful for You” card using the latest script die.  I also wanted to use the new Espresso jewels, which are a new favorite of mine.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I colored the images with copic markers in the following colors and cut them with the coordinating dies.

  • Brick Reds – E07, E08, E09
  • Warm Grey – W1, W3, W5, W7
  • Warm Browns – E53, E50, E30, E34, E37, E33, E51, E35
  • Olive Greens – BG93, BG96, BG99
  • Oranges – Y17, YR21, YR04

Creating the expanded easel card:

  • Cut a 8 ½ x 11 inch piece of white cardstock in half, you will have two pieces of 4 ¼ x 11 paper
  • Take one piece and score and fold at 2 ¾ inches and 5 ½ inches, fold to create the easel stand
  • Take the other piece and score and fold at 1 3/8, 2 ¾, 4 1/16, and 5 ½ inches, fold to create the easel card front
  • Add adhesive to the easel stand and adhere the easel card front
  • Decorate your card front, I used mats but you can ink blend, watercolor, or choose whatever way you want to create the background
  • If you are going to mat your images the dimensions are 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 for the big panel and 4 1/8 x 1 ¼ for the 3 smaller mats for the “mountains”

Once you have created your card base, adhere the images to the mats and decorate your wreath with the new jewels!  For the sentiment I used the new Thankful for You Script die, it is perfect for the season!

September 2018 Now Available!

The September 2018 Release is now available in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop and select retailers that carry our products. If you missed our post yesterday, we revealed all of the products in picture form, but if you would like to see them in a video, Eloise has you covered!

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

Hi, there, it’s Marge here with you for today. I’m so excited for Pretty Pink Posh’s New September Release since it’s been 3 months since the last release. There are so many amazing products in this release, so be sure to take a closer look at all of them to find your favorite items.

Here’s my card for today. I made a simple watercolor card featuring the Anemones stamp set.

To begin, I cut a piece of 300g Cold Pressed Watercolor Paper into A2 size, then I stamped Anemones images as shown in the picture using Distress Ink Antique Linen. Next, I watercolored the images very lightly using my Daniel Smith Watercolor paints. Once I finished watercoloring, I added some splatter of dark blue inks and let them dry.

After the panel was dried, I cut it with Scallop Frames Dies with rectangle frames cut two more times out of separate white card stock and glued top-on-top to give the frame some dimension.

I stamped a sentiment from Simple Sayings: Kind on the center using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I then adhered the outer frame onto a pink card base and then I adhered center panel inside the frame. I finished off the card by adding some Ivory Jewels.

Here are some tips for today’s card:
1) Use wet in wet technique in order to do very light watercoloring
2) To express fine line texture of the petals, you can either  use a very small waterbrush to draw fine lines or add white pencil details.
3)  I love to add a focal image on the opposite corner of the main images to give the panel a balanced look.
4) Combination of pink, violet, and coral never disappoints you when you just don’t know how to start coloring of your flowers.
5) My favorite paper for watercolor card is heavy weight (140lb or 300g), cold pressed one.
That’s it from me for today. I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Happy crafting!

Sneak Peek: September Die Cuts

Jeanne here today and I can’t tell you how excited I am to share the Pretty Pink Posh new release dies with you! You’re going to FALL in love them all! Paulina’s got a little something for everyone! Do you love bling and sequins? Then the Thanks Leaf Shaker die is for you. Of course it’s ideal for shakers full of shiny sequins but you’ll find lots of great ways to use this pretty maple leaf die.

If you say “fall” I say “color”! And color blocking is one of my favorite techniques. No one makes this technique easier than Pretty Pink Posh. The unique Stacked Edges stitched border dies fit together perfectly so you can add lots of layers without a lot of thickness. To save time I cut three different borders at a time so I have several to use on other projects. I adhere the borders together on their reverse side and then cut them into a panel for the cover of my card.

The new Thankful For You Script die is a great way to add a sentiment to any project. I love the loopy letters of the hand written font. This color block panel was created with die cut squares from the Storybook 3 and stitched strips from Stitched Borders 3.

The squares are topped with die cut leaves and pumpkin from the new Small Stitched Foliage.

As the weather turns cooler baking season will begin again for me.  I can always use a pretty tag to dress up a loaf up pumpkin bread or a bag of cookies. I created panels of colorful chevrons using the Stacked Edges 2 and die cut them with the Stitched Duo 1 Tag.

I embellished the tags with die cut Fall Tags and Small Stitched Foliage (in case you’re wondering yes.. they can be stacked on top of each other) cut from white card stock.

The “thanks” sentiment is cut from the Thanks Leaf Shaker and yes, there are new colorful jewels this release too! I used the new Midnight Black, Raspberry, Blue Lagoon Jewels to add the perfect finishing touch to these tags today.

A big thank you to YOU for joining me today! Be sure to join us tomorrow for the reveal of the release and a chance to buy the bundle of all the new release items a day early at a discount!

Sneak Peek: Autumn Wreath + Cuddly Cats

Hello everyone, Alix here sharing products from the new upcoming September 5th release. Today I’m highlighting the Cuddly Cats and Autumn Wreath stamp sets.

To begin with my card, I first stamped the images from the Cuddly Cats on a piece of Bristol paper and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. Then I cut them with the Cuddly Cats coordinating dies.

I wanted to create a scene showing all the cat favorites. I did my magic to fit them all onto an A2 sized card panel. For my inked background, I ink blended my background for the front panel using distress ink oxide in Spiced MarmaladeFossilized AmberTattered RoseWorn Lipstick, and for the shaker window in Cracked Pistachio with Mermaid Lagoon. I mixed Spiced Marmalade oxide ink with water and splatter onto the upper portion of the background.
To create the shaker window, I cut the window using Stitched Diamonds Die from a piece of watercolor paper. I stamped sentiment onto a piece of acetate paper using VersaMark ink and heat embossed it. I then adhered the acetate paper right underneath the front panel. I poured 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins ,4mm Shamrock Sequins, Jewels in Shamrock and colored fish images, then closed the window with foam tape.

I glued all colored images around the window and embellished surroundings with Jewels in Pink Blush and Marigold (one of five new colors coming in this release!).

Now let’s shift the gear to another awesome stamp set – Autumn Wreath. This time I decided to do a simpler card with a gorgeous color combo. I colored selected images from the Autumn Wreath stamp set with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and die cut them using the Autumn Wreath coordinating dies.

I cut card panel from a piece of blue cardstock and attached colored images. Then I splattered diluted white watercolor paint onto the background by tapping on watercolor brush handle. I cut a piece of vellum paper in smaller rectangle shape and glued it onto the background using Multi Medium Matte since it dries clear with matte finish. I die cut top sentiment using Thankful For You Script Die and adhere it on top of vellum paper. At last, I embellished the card choosing 4mm Clear Droplets

My third card combines both featured stamp sets. Since all images from the Cuddly Cats and Autumn Wreath were colored already, it was very easy to put together. I first ink smudged the background on a piece of watercolor paper using water diluted Tim Holtz Distress oxide ink in Broken China. Then I popped the wreath off the center to the left side using double sided foam squares to create some dimension.

I created more dimension by adding these foliage images on one and another on the bottom of the wreath. I added this cute gray kitty in the center as focal point. I stamped sentiment inside of wreath and embellished background with Sequins in 4mm Sparkling Clear and 6mm Sparkling Clear.

I hope that I tickled your heart a little by showing these upcoming goodies. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks in the next few days!

Sneak Peek: Anemones + Simple Sayings: Kind

Hello everyone, Joni here sharing a sneak peek of the new Anemones stamp set and Anemones coordinating dies. There are so many possibilities with this stamp that I’m sure you are going to love. This stamp set, along with the other new products, release on September 5th.

First I stamped the images on a white cardstock and then colored the images with Copic markers and then die-cut with its coordinating dies.

For the background of my card I distressed the background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink pads in Black Soot, Frayed Burlap, and Cracked Pistachio. Then, splattered it with water then let it dry.

Here’s another look of this card. The sentiment I used “kindness matters” is from the new release as well called Simple Sayings: Kind stamp set. I also added new jewels in the color Raspberry.

For my second card I used a more subtle color scheme.

I first gold heat embossed the flower image on the set and then water colored using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush in Bright Yellow and Dark Gray. Then, die-cut “thankful” from the new die-cut Thankful For You Script.

I also added some new Espresso Jewels to add a little sparkle.

I hope you enjoyed! Be sure to keep visiting the blog (and our social media) for more sneak peeks at the upcoming September 5th release. You’re going to love what we have in store.

Until next time, have a wonderful day!

Sneak Peek: Fall Scene + Pumpkin Patch Critters

Hi, Friends! This is Caly and I’m thrilled to be sharing two sneak peaks with you today using the new Pumpkin Patch Critters stamp and die set and the Fall Scene stamp set from the September 5th Release! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year – the weather is nice (albeit, for only a few short weeks), the kids are back in school, and everything in nature becomes so colorful!

My first card features the Pumpkin Patch Critters set. I wanted to color all the pumpkins in this stamp set different colors – like what you would see at a real pumpkin patch.  I actually really love non-orange pumpkins (especially white ones)! I first stamped the images using a Copic-friendly ink.  I used Momento Tuxedo Black ink and my trusty MISTI tool to ensure the images are scripted before coloring.

The following Copic colors were used:  T0, T2 (mouse); W00, W1 (bunny); G21, G2 (green pumpkin), R20 (blush for critters); Y13, Y15, Y17, YR14, R05 (orange/red pumpkins); E50, E42, E43, E55, E57 (pumpkin stems and squirrel). Once done coloring, I die cut my images and then add white gel accents to each image (quick tip: doing it before die-cutting risks the gel lines getting scratched or becoming dull).

I set the images aside and began creating the card front.  I ink blended a panel using Bundled Sage and Old Paper Distress Oxide inks and used the new Thanks Leaf Shaker die to cut out the maple leaf center. Then I used Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink to ink-blend a different panel for the ground and added some color to the Thanks Leaf Shaker die-cut piece.  I used the Scallop Borders 1 die and cut a small hill using the Gathered Twigs panel I ink-blended for the critters and pumpkins to sit on.

I splattered some water drops on the panel to remove some color and I added acetate to the window and in-laid the Thanks Leaf.  I added 3M foam tape underneath this panel to create dimension for the sequins. I also ink-blended the exposed window on the card base with the same green Distress Oxide inks to give the card a more uniform look before adding the Whimsical Forest sequins mix and adhering the top panel to the card base.

Once the shaker was constructed, I arranged my images and adhered them on the card front as desired.

For my second card, I created a one-layer Copic scene.  I stamped the image using Momento Tuxedo Black again and colored the images using Copics.

Colors used:  Y13, Y17, YR15, YR09, R37, G14, G09 (Leaves); T0, T1 (Bunny), W00, W1 (Mouse); E41, E31, E55 (Hedgehog and Trees); YR30, E25 (Trees); R20 (Blush).

I don’t create full Copic scenes very often, but I was inspired to create one for this cute fall scene.  I colored the trees in the front the largest and darkest and when back with lighter colors to give dimension to the scene.  Once I was done, I went through and added white gel pen highlights over all the images.

I framed in this colored panel using the Scallop Squares die-cut with white cardstock.  The sentiment is from a new stamp set called Autumn Wreath – I love the simple block letters.  I then completed the card using new Espresso Jewels. The new Pretty Pink Posh release is full of fun fall inspiration!  I hope you enjoyed these projects and I hope it inspires you to create a fun fall scene! Thanks so much for joining me today!  Have a fabulous day!
