Birthday Signs Box Card

Hi and welcome to the PPP blog! It’s Leica here and today I’m sharing a box card – my favorite type of pop-up card to make. This box card die will be released March 8th, so make sure to keep a lookout for that release. Today, I’ve filled out the box card with the cutest critters from the new Birthday Signs Stamp Set

Pretty Pink Posh: Birthday Signs Box Card

I first cut the box card die elements in green cardstock and assembled it. For the background, I inked through the Streamers Stencils on the back panel of the card with Dried Marigold, Salty Ocean, and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks.

Next, I stamped, colored, and cut the images from Birthday Signs Stamp Set

Blues – BG05/02/00/000
Browns – E47/44/43/42/41
Greens – YG03/01/00, YG17/23
Oranges – YR04/02/00/000

I stamped the sentiments on the signs that the adorable critters are holding. Then I glued them onto the front and inserts of the box card. Lastly, I cut another scallop panel in white cardstock and glued it on the back of the card.

That’s all for my birthday box card. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Birthday Cake (3 Ways!)+ Video

Hi all, Rebecca here! Today I have a birthday cake featuring cake….lots of cake! This birthday card has a birthday cake background, a birthday cake card front and a birthday cake inside the card!

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I used the Birthday Cake Layering Stencils and some very light inks to create the background. Then I used the Fancy Cake Dies cut out of different colors of cardstock to create the big cake card front.

Birthday Cake (3 Ways!)+ Video

There is a confetti die that comes with the Fancy Cake Dies but for some extra color and dimension I added the Funfetti Clay Confetti to my cake for sprinkles. I added a foiled sentiment with the Hot Foil Large Celebrate.

Birthday Cake (3 Ways!)+ Video

For the inside of the card, I used the Birthday Sentiments Stamp Set which are perfect for messages inside birthday cards, to stamp a sentiment. Then I used the little piece of cake die from the Birthday Mug Additions Dies to add a cute small image above the stamped sentiment. Check out today’s video to see how much fun I had pulling these three ways to create cakes together in one card!

Birthday Cake (3 Ways!)+ Video

I’m already planning my next background, forefront and inside image card! I am thinking, maybe party hats next time! I’d love to hear what Pretty Pink Posh image you would combine for this trifecta! Thanks for stopping by!

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Hi crafty friends. It’s Leica here and I am sharing a square-shaped card today, using the strawberry die from the Valentine Mug Addition Dies. This set is a perfect addition to the previously-released Winter Mug Dies

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

I first cut a 5” square white cardstock and ink blended it through the Grid Stencil with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. I then cut the Wonky Stitched Square in patterned paper. You can also make a gingham pattern with the Wide Stripes or the Pinstripe Stencil. I then stamped the sentiment in the center of the wonky square panel. I foam mounted it on the card panel and added Bubblegum pearls for added interest.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

For the strawberries, I watercolored scraps of paper in red, green, brown, and white pearlescent. I then cut the strawberry from the Valentine Mug Addition. The swirls and little hearts are just too cute! For the pink dip, I used pink cardstock and added Liquid Pearls in White Opal. Lastly, I adhered the card panel onto a 5.25” square card base.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

That’s all for this sweet strawberry card. I hope that I’ve inspired you to create a card with the Valentine Mug Addition Dies. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Layering Stencil + Video

Hey friends! It’s Mindy and I’m here to share some birthday inspiration with the Layered Party Hats stencil.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

For the first layer of the stencil, I’m going to use Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina and Wilted Violet Distress Inks.

Birthday Layering Stencil + Video

I’ll go over the second layer of the stencil with Mowed Lawn, Mermaid Lagoon and Villainous Potion Distress Ink.  I love the tone-on-tone look this provides.

Birthday Layering Stencil + Video

The third layer of the stencil is adding the pom-poms to the top. For this I’ll be using the new Lost Shadow Distress Ink.

The final layer of the stencil adds stars to the background. I’m going to apply Gold Glitz Glitter Gel over this layer.

Birthday Layering Stencil + Video

You can’t have party hats without presents so I stamped out the presents from the Birthday Signs stamp set and colored with copic makers. I picked out colors that would match my background. Then used the coordinating die to cut the image out.

For the sentiment, I’ll be using the Birthday Sentiments stamp set. I die cut a panel using the Spring Circles die set and stamped the sentiment in black.

Birthday Layering Stencil + Video

I added this panel to my stenciled background using foam tape and then added the presents towards the bottom using foam tape as well.

I love how this background came out! Hope you enjoyed today’s project! Thanks for stopping by!

Snappy Birthday

Hello, Gemma here today and I have a snappy birthday card to share, featuring the Birthday Signs stamp set.

Pretty Pink Posh: Snappy Birthday

I stamped out the crocodile and cupcakes from the Birthday Signs stamp set, and coloured them with copic markers.

Copic colours: Crocodile: YG61-67, YR30-31, N0-3, R22-27, Y11 Cupcakes: E30-33, Y00-13, R22-27, YG03-05

Pretty Pink Posh: Snappy Birthday

I stamped a sentiment from the set on the croc’s sign, then die cut them with the coordinating dies. I added two more layers behind the crocodile for dimension.

Next, I worked on my background. I used the Streamers stencils with Squeezed Lemonade and Mowed Lawn distress oxide inks. I trimmed the panel down to 5.5” high and 3 7/8” wide.

Pretty Pink Posh: Snappy Birthday

When I want to add a critter to a strong background, I like the soften it with vellum so the critter stands out. I cut a strip of vellum, 1 3/4” tall. I adhered the crocodile to the centre with liquid glue, then wrapped the vellum around the stenciled panel and secured with tape at the back. I adhered the panel in the centre of an A2 card base, leaving some white space at either edge.

Pretty Pink Posh: Snappy Birthday

For a pop of red, to match the party hat, I die cut two thin Stitched Strips from red sparkle card. I adhered these above and below the vellum panel, then added the cupcakes with foam tape to finish this birthday card.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you were inspired to create a birthday card from the new collection of products!

Celebrate Birthday Mug + Video

Hi, friends! It’s Lauren and I am so excited to be back on the blog! Have you ever made a “mug cake” before? I thought it would be fun to make a shaker birthday mug cake and use the Winter Mug Dies, Valentine Mug Addition Dies, and Birthday Mug Addition Dies all together!

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I started with die cutting all of the pieces I needed from the different die sets in colored
cardstock. I will add in some color to each of the images using Distress Oxide ink or my alcohol
markers so there is some dimension to the pieces. Starting with colored cardstock and adding in
ink is one of my favorite ways to have color without having to completely color a piece of white
cardstock in ink. For extra texture on the cake die cut, I also stamped the solid confetti in brown
ink from the Birthday Sentiments Stamp Set.

Pretty Pink Posh: Celebrate Birthday Mug + Video

To make the card extra festive, I used the Streamers Stencil to create a background. The “A”
stencil was colored using Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed
Lemonade and Cracked Pistachio. The “B” stencil was colored using Platinum Stencil Butter – I
love the mix of bright colors and silver together!

Pretty Pink Posh: Celebrate Birthday Mug + Video

While the background was drying, I started assembling the shaker birthday mug cake together.
The shaker bits are the adorable sprinkles from the Birthday Cake Clay Confetti. I also made
my sentiment in silver foil with Hot Foil Large Celebrate and Large Celebrate Shadow Die.

Pretty Pink Posh: Celebrate Birthday Mug + Video

Once my background was dry, I assembled the card together and added a sparkly frame die cut
using the A2 frame from Fancy Cake Dies. I hope you enjoy today’s video and that it brings you
inspiration for using your Mug Dies all together – especially to create a fun shaker!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

Bright Birthday Combo

Hello crafty friends! It’s Leica here today, sharing a birthday card and a gift card holder. My paper projects today features the newest dies from Pretty Pink Posh. Let’s get started!

Pretty Pink Posh: Bright Birthday Combo

For the card, I started with a 5” square white cardstock that I ink blended with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink. I sprayed it with water for an oxidized effect and splattered some white ink. I then took scraps of white cardstock and ink blended them with various Distress Oxide Inks (Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy, Salvaged Patina, Spiced Marmalade, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade) and cut the party hat die from the Birthday Mug Addition Dies a few times. I mix and match different colors for my hats and foam mounted them onto the card panel.

Pretty Pink Posh: Bright Birthday Combo

Next, I hot foiled the Hot Foil Large Celebrate and cut it with the coordinating die cut. I love that PPP has hot foil stamps now! I stamped the sub sentiment directly onto the card base, using Versafine Onyx black ink. I added some pearls here and there for interest and adhered the panel onto a 5” square card base.

Pretty Pink Posh: Bright Birthday Combo

I’ve made an extra party hat, so I decided to use it on a gift card holder. I cut the Gift Card Bag die twice in white cardstock and inked through the Medium Dots Stencil with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. I then cut a scallop circle which I ink blended with Salvaged Patina and a circle in white cardstock  from the Valentine Circles Dies. I foam mounted the party hat on the white circle cardstock, matted it onto the scallop circle, and glued it on the paper bag. Next, I cut the word “celebrate” in gold cardstock and glued it under the party hat. Lastly, I stamped the “to” and “from” from the Birthday Sentiments Stamp Set in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink.

I sure hope you like today’s projects and that you’ll enjoy crafting with these new dies as much as I have. Thanks for stopping by!

Ombre Fancy Cake

Hello friends, it’s Leica here today. I am sharing a birthday card using the Fancy Cake Dies. This new die really is very fancy and can be decorated in many ways. I love the scallop piece and decided to make an ombre cake with it. Let’s get started!

Pretty Pink Posh: Ombre Fancy Cake

For the background, I cut a white cardstock down to 4.25” x 5.5” and ink through the Medium Polka Dots Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks. From top to bottom, I used Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy, Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, and Picked Raspberry.

Pretty Pink Posh: Ombre Fancy Cake

Next, I worked on the cake, which I cut in white cardstock. I cut it again in gold and used that for the cake stand. I then cut 5 scallop pieces, ink blended them with the same inks used for the background, sprayed some water for an oxidized effect, and then I splattered some white ink. I cut the candles in glitter paper and used Copic markers for the candle. After gluing all the pieces together, I cut 3 more of the cake die and glued them together for dimension. Sometimes, I like doing this method for dimension better than using foam tape. It just looks cleaner and it’s also sturdy. At the end, I placed a sheet of vellum in between the stenciled panel and the cake to soften the background.

Lastly, I stamped the Birthday Sentiment inside the card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card share! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Two Projects, One Die Set

Hello crafty friends. It’s Lisa Mears here. Today I’m making two projects with the Gift Card Bag die set from the birthday release. I’ll use it to make a standalone gift bag as well as a gift card pocket that you can add to the front of a card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Two Projects, One Die Set

If you would like to see how I made my projects, be sure to check out my video below.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

Give a gift card in style with the Gift Card Bag die set. The bag has a 1/4 inch opening and it is just the right size to hold a gift card, money, or a gift certificate. The die set also comes with two word dies. One of the word dies says “For You” and the other one says “Celebrate.”

When putting the bag together, you will need to die cut the gift card bag die two times, one for the front of the bag and one for the back of the bag. Then use glue or double-sided tape to adhere the flaps together.

Pretty Pink Posh: Two Projects, One Die Set

You can add a sentiment to the front or add other dies and stamps to decorate the bag. I used the candle dies from the Birthday Mug Additions die set.

Pretty Pink Posh: Two Projects, One Die Set

The Gift Card Bag die set can also be used as a pocket on the front of a card. When using it as a pocket, you only need to die cut the bag one time and then glue the three flaps to the front of the card.

Tip: Make sure you don’t put glue on the entire back of the bag or else you will not be able to insert a gift card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Two Projects, One Die Set

I decorated the front of the bag with a Scallop Circle die and added the alligator from the Birthday Signs stamp set. I also used the Streamers Stencil to add a pattern to the bag.

Pretty Pink Posh: Two Projects, One Die Set

I thought it would be fun to have balloons coming out of the bag so I added the balloons from the Birthday Balloons stamp set.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!
