Oh goodness, has it really been a whole week since I last posted? I fully intended to post something earlier this week, but getting orders out took precedence and then I had a mishap while filming this video. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you know what I’m talking about. *wink*
Lately I have been all about the BRIGHT colors; in fact, I’m wearing a neon shirt right now. For some reason, I associate the sunshine and warm weather with bright colors and it’s evident in many of my cards. Funny how that happens…
Today’s card only features two stamps, but I also added in a new (to me) product- watercolors! I finally opened up my new pack and they appeared in an artsy form on this card. It’s a little outside my “normal” style, but it’s fun to change it up a bit every now and then!
In the picture below, you can see the fun addition the watercolor splashes made to the white space on the card. Granted, this won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it was fun to give it a whirl.
In my most recent video, I showed today’s card and got quite a few requests to do a video on it. Despite it being a mini sauna up here in the studio right now (who knew that Seattle could get up to 90* in July?!), I was able to squeeze in some time to film this video. After I filmed, I realized a few scenes were off camera and the light on my camcorder was on, but hopefully you can still enjoy the video. :)
Some of you may have seen the sneak peek I posted on my social media sites…. on Sunday it’s my birthday and I’m going to be hosting a BIG giveaway. Okay, truth be told, I’m still deciding on the quantity of giveaways, but let me just say they will be BIG. It’s been a while since I hosted a bigger giveaway and I thought my birthday was the perfect day to share a gift with YOU. Stay tuned!
That’s going to be all for today’s post. I hope you have a great day and I’ll talk with you very soon.
It’s never pleasant when a friend or loved one is in need of a get well card… Sadly, this week I need to send one out. However, I’m hoping that this card will cheer up my dear friend who had to undergo an unexpected surgery. I personally tend to like happy, brighter colored cards when I’m feeling unwell, so I hope this will be the ray of sunshine my friend needs.
As you can probably tell by now, I’m pretty much addicted to creating “window” cards. There’s something so fun about getting to fill each window with something different and honestly, the possibilities are endless. I decided to fill these windows up with the Lawn Fawn Get Well Soon stamps, along with some bright colored PPP sequins. Quick and easy, but so very happy!
Quick note: I’m almost sold out (again) of the Stitched Duo 1 dies, so if you’re wanting one from my shop, be sure to get it soon! In the near future, I’m going to start a Pinterest board for each of the die sets….I can’t wait to start pinning ideas! The design team has been creating all sorts of great cards with the dies and I heard a little rumor that new dies are coming very soon!
For those who were wanting to see a closer peek at the new products for July, I finally got to film the video. Please excuse my lack of a voice- it’s almost completely better, but you may be able to tell it’s slightly strained in this video. (So sorry!)
Unfortunately, today isn’t a normal release kind of day. I had fully intended to do my normal new release video/ post, but alas, my voice is almost completely gone and I’m battling dizziness, nausea and a slight fever. As soon as I’m feeling well again, I plan on filming the video and showcasing the new products to you!
In the meantime, I wanted to share a card that I made recently with some of my recent purchases, along with some sequins from the BRAND NEW Summer Mix. I love the bright colors in this mix, but it also comes with the adorable yellow flowers that are on this card. Aren’t they fun?!
Lately I have been into creating grassy “hills” with the curved die from the Stitched Borders 1 set. Not only are they super easy to do, they add so much to your cards and projects! For this card I used the ducks from the Lawn Fawn Hello Baby set, along with a bird from Critters in the Forest.
Just in case you want to order the new products (before I get a chance to film the video), here are the different links:
That’s going to wrap up this post for today. I apologize for the lack of video and the slight delay in orders. Just as soon as I feel better, I’ll be back at work and ship everything out as quickly as I can.
I wanted to stop in today and share a little “behind the scenes” look as to what I’ve been up to the last few days. I was half tempted to post a picture of my craft studio right now, but I quickly dismissed the idea. It looks like a tornado hit; one table has craft products strewn about (since I’m working on samples for the new release), another table has new products laid out, another table has sequin orders and the last one has a stack of cards that need to be photographed. I already cannot wait to finish my projects so I can clean up a bit!
Despite the craziness, I had to put aside the mess for a bit and get back to what I love…. blogging. It’s this wonderful blog that has provided a gateway for me to start my small business. It’s my AMAZING readers that make all of this possible and have me dreaming bigger. It’s this blog that has allowed me to combine two passions of mine- crafting and writing. Sometimes it’s necessary to put aside the to-do lists and do something you enjoy.
For this card, I pulled out two of the smaller Lawn Fawn sets- Make Lemonade and Happy Summer. While I am far from a fan of ants in real life, I thought they looked pretty cute with these lemons. Doesn’t this card make you want a fresh batch of lemonade? Many have been waiting and I’m excited to let you know that a restock shipment of the sold out dies are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I have entered the stock into my inventory and you can now purchase the dies again. If you’ve been eying them, be sure to get yours soon- these are most likely going to sell out!
Also, I want to let you know that Simon Says Stamp, Ellen Hutson and MarkerPop will be receiving these dies in very soon, in case you would prefer to order from them.
In closing I want to let you know that ALL of my products have been restocked-dies, ribbons, sequins, twines- so if you’ve been waiting to place an order, now is the perfect time. I can’t wait to settle down and start putting together your orders. I know I say it often, but I am thankful for you all. Truly.

I am so very blessed to have you all in my life!
*Okay, now back to our regularly scheduled post…..*
Oh my goodness, did Father’s Day creep up on anyone else? As I was making a run to the post office, I came to the realization that Father’s Day was on Sunday and I needed to make my dad a card. STAT. Every year I make my dad a card and each time I make “us kids” into stamped creations. One year we were dogs, the other cats, owls… yeah, we’ve been pretty much animal you can think of. This year, I decided to make us gnomes, courtesy of this Woodland Chickie.
For those new to my blog, there are five kids in our family (I’m the oldest) and we each have unique personalities. I tried my best to showcase that in this card, without adding extra fuss. Thanks to the Stitched Duo 1 dies, this card was a piece of cake!
It makes me so happy to hear that many of you have purchased the other dies that I’ve been using in my recent cards. Lately, in addition to the PPP dies, my go-to ones is this Mama Elephant combo set and the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border. These dies are definitely “must haves” in my book!
In the last few days, I’ve been getting emails from customers sharing their creations using the dies. There are no words for how happy it makes me to see you enjoying my products and the encouragement you bring to me for future endeavors. I can’t reveal much, but stay tuned for some announcements coming in August….. you won’t want to miss it….BIG things are in store!
Today I don’t have any cards to share (of my own), but I did want to share a little collage of photos I put together from some of the cards found in the Product Release Blog Hop. My design team and special guests did such an amazing job with the new PPP dies, don’t you think?
If you didn’t get to take a peek at the various stops, be sure to head to the post and hop along. While you won’t be eligible for a prize, there’s so much amazing inspiration, it’s almost like a prize in itself!
As many of you know, I sold out of the new dies within 24 hours (despite having LOTS in stock!). If you were hoping to get one or both of the dies and didn’t want to wait until they are restocked in three weeks, I’m proud to announce that Ellen Hutson has them on their site now!
It’s time to announce the lucky winners of the Product Release Blog Hop I had last week with the DT and special guests. It was SO fun to see all of your comments, the excitement behind the dies and also filling your orders. Here are the two lucky gals that won a $25 PPP gift certificate…..
If you are one of the winners, please email me so I can send over your gift certificate code. Click the “contact” button at the top of the blog and send over your info so you can start to shop!
It’s also time to announce the lucky winner of the combo pack- the one that includes BOTH of the new dies and the Patriotic Embellishment Kit. Congratulations to Lynette! I have gone ahead and emailed you, Lynette, for your mailing address; please be sure to look in your Inbox.
Oh goodness, this past week has been CRAZY in terms of emails, blog questions and orders. I’m swimming along and trying to get everything done, but if you’ve emailed or are awaiting a reply, please be patient with me. I honestly haven’t been this busy since the opening of the shop and didn’t anticipate this wonderful blessing of excitement from the dies. Rest assured, I already have LOTS of dies on order and as soon as I get word on when they will arrive, I’ll let you all know.
Despite being busy, I just couldn’t resist taking part in the DeNami blog hop this month. With the theme being Bright Blossoms and it also being the last blog hop before the Fall, I had to join in the fun. Flowers and I go together like cake and ice cream! If you started the hop from the beginning, you should have come from Andrea’s blog.
I actually originally created another card- I even stayed up until 1am stamping it- but the end result was horrible. In fact, I didn’t even finish it. After sleeping on it, I decided to trek back into the studio and this was the end result. Since it’s not a super elaborate card, I wanted to include a video to “dress up” this post a bit more. Hope it works!
Well, I’m the last one in the blog hop…. if you would like to start from the beginning and see lots of bright and happy cards, head on over to the DeNami blog and check out the stops and leave comments for a chance at winning prizes!
Today is a day I’ve been counting down the day to…. I’m having a blog hop with the PPP DT and some of my talented crafty friends. As you probably know by now, I have released my very first Pretty Pink Posh Dies and I wanted to inspire you all with LOTS of fabulous inspiration with the dies. You all up for it? I hope so, because I have friends from all over the world sharing their projects using MY dies!
For those new to my blog, I started a small company back in December that carries sequins, twine and other crafting embellishments. I’m a huge fan of dies and now that I have some orders and experience under my belt, I decided it was time to release some dies that I’ve designed. I’m proud to say that these are made in the United States, are 100% steel and work perfect for paper crafts of all sorts.
In my first card, I’m showcasing both the Stitched Duo 1 dies and the Stitched Borders 1 dies. Thanks to my dies, I now utterly obsessed with creating little window scenes. These dies make it SO easy and you can do so much with them!
Just in case you’re wondering which stamps sets I used for this card, I pulled out the Just Hatched and On Point Borders sets from Mama Elephant. I just love these sets and they work beautifully with my new dies! To finish off the card, I used the Grassy Border die from Lawn Fawn- I thought it was the perfect finishing touch!
Now I know many of you are in love with the monster stamps that I’ve been using lately, so I thought I would bring you another card with them. You may recognize this stamp- I used it in my sequin shaker tutorial video. It’s such a happy image and I really like that it doesn’t take long to color.
By request, I filmed a video showing exactly how I made this card. Oh yes, and there’s a little peek at a new product that’ll be released in July! *wink*
PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop- I’m giving away 2 $25 gift certificates to two random comments left before June 8, 2014 at 11:59 PM PDT. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!
Okay dokie, now I know you all want to see the fabulous inspiration…. here’s the list of blog hop stops. Each of these gals are extremely talented and I truly am honored they took the time to make something with my dies.
I wanted to do one last thing to say thank you for joining in this hop….enter below for several chances to win BOTH of the new dies, along with the brand new Patriotic kit!
Thank you all for your enthusiasm about the new dies, encouragement and for spreading the word about Pretty Pink Posh. You truly make this journey a fun one and I can’t wait to design and release more dies in the future!
