Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends in the States!

While today is generally the day most reflect on their blessings, I have been reflecting on mine daily since the accident. One of the biggest blessings is my amazing readers. Your support, encouragement, comments and everything in between (letters, happy mail, emails…..) are beyond anything I would have expected to receive when I started blogging. I am so very blessed to have each one of you in my life.

Today I wanted to share a card that I created using some Pretty Pink Posh products. One of my absolute favorite items in the shop are the festive Christmas bells. I’ve been using them on quite a few cards- I can’t wait to share them! You can be sure you’ll see them on Sunday for the grand opening blog hop of the shop!

Before I opened the shop, I hadn’t ever tried flat sequins before. I must say, they are a great option if you don’t want to add “bulk” to your card, or you aren’t a fan of the cupped option. It’s been so neat to see the response from the two varieties! Right now, it’s a pretty close race….once the grand opening comes around, I’ll let you know which one ends up being more popular.

I hope you all have a wonderful day, whether it be with family or friends. I’ll be back tomorrow with another sample and some coupon codes to share. See you then!

Sequin Wreath

It’s official, if I wasn’t a sequin addict before, I truly am one now. After taking photos of the different sequins in the Pretty Pink Posh shop and working on samples with them, I am loving every single color and product. Today I wanted to showcase my favorite of the mixes I put together- the Classic Christmas Mix.

I always love coming up with new, unique color palettes, but there are some classics that are just to good to mess with. Red, green and gold are the epitome of Christmas colors (in my mind) and these colors all work together beautifully. I wanted to challenge myself to create something with all of the colors and then I thought of a wreath. PERFECT!

prettypinkposh_wreath4a

If you watched the November Craft Haul video, you saw that I got the Dainty Bow die. Doesn’t it work perfect with this wreath? I was a tad confused on how to put it together at first, but then I figured it out. I’ll do a video in the near future showing how to put it together, in case you’re like me. This bow is so cute- I have so many fun ideas with it!

Shop update: there are only 5 days until the official grand opening! I’ve received some more products that I’ll be adding to the store and soon my shop will be stocked full again. It’s been such a blessing to get some orders this last week- it’s really helped me get a glimpse of what items will be popular and I’ve been able to order more items. Thank you to all those who have ordered thus far- it truly means the world to me to get your support and also hear how much you like the packaging and products!

As promised, I have the listing of the 10 special guests that will be joining me on Sunday for the celebration. Each of these gals have such a unique style and I am on pins and needles to see how they use their PPP products. I hope that you plan on joining us for the inspiration and I’ll be having a special and giveaways! specialguests

I hope that you were inspired by today’s sequin card. Thanks for stopping in!

Pastel Winter Sparrows

Can you believe that Christmas is exactly one month away? With that being said, I am so far behind on presents and cards, it’s almost comical. I have purchased exactly one gift and it’s a stocking stuffer at that! I’m hoping that once the shop has its grand opening, I’ll be able to focus my time on writing up lists and shopping.

Since I was having a good health day on Saturday (yay!), I was able to get crafty and created today’s card, along with my November Craft Haul video. I’m seriously loving every single thing I purchased- I just couldn’t resist crafting right away! How darling are those birds and that lamp?!

Pretty Pink Posh I Winter Sparrows

Did you happen to notice the darling Festive Christmas Bells and the Gold Cupped Sequins? Those are both items that I’m carrying in the Pretty Pink Posh shop! I’ve been using both of these items quite a bit lately….you’ll definitely be seeing more samples with them in the near future!

Pretty Pink Posh I Winter Sparrows

If you follow me on YouTube or Twitter, you saw that I posted the November Craft Haul video. Granted, it’s quite a small haul, but I still wanted to do a video since many of the items are ones I’ve been wanting for a while. Also, I received some adorable items from my sweet friend Christy that I wanted to share with you all. All of the product links are on YouTube in the description box- if you  have questions on anything, feel free to leave a comment or send me an email.

Thanks for stopping in today. I’ll be back tomorrow with some more products from my shop, along with a list of the special guests you’ll be seeing for the grand opening blog hop. It’s only 6 days away….I hope you plan on celebrating with us!

Favorite Free Fonts #2

A few weeks ago, I did the very first Favorite Free Fonts feature and I was so happy with the response I received from it. It sounds like many of you are avid fonts lovers (like myself) and it doesn’t get much better than free. I’m back with a new set of fonts and this one has a little more variation than the first.

fonts2

Honey Script   •  Dream Orphans   •   Seaside Resort

Channel •   Vast Shadow  •   Return to Sender

Great Vibes •    Loyal Fame •    Written on His Hands

If you download one or two of the fonts, I would love it if you pinned this feature on Pinterest, or somehow shared it with your friends. It was so heart warming to see the last one pinned many times on Pinterest- I’m curious to see if we can get this one spread even more!

I hope that you enjoyed this feature. If you haven’t already, head on over to the FREEBIE section on the site- this is where I’ll be adding the font feature, free templates and other goodies in the future.

If you missed the shop announcement earlier, click here. Thanks for stopping in today!

Mark Your Calendars!

shop_As many of you know, I’ve been working on tirelessly on the Pretty Pink Posh shop these last few weeks. I’ve gotten all sorts of fun shipments in and I’ve been up many late nights get photos and things ready for the grand opening. Mark your calendars: December 1st will be a big day here on the blog (and in the shop) as we officially launch. I’ll have some special guests joining along with gorgeous samples, there will be giveaways and I’m also working on doing something extra special for the opening.

If you follow me on my social media sites, you’ve seen these pictures already, but for those who just follow my blog, I wanted to share a couple here as well. As you’ll see, I’ve been having all sorts of fun with the sequins- seriously, it’s like a sequin volcano exploded in my studio. I’ve also been working on samples featuring the other products and they rank right up there with the sequins.

behindthescenesNow I  mentioned above that the OFFICIAL opening of the shop will be December 1st, however, the shop IS open now. I wanted to allow you the opportunity to shop now, especially if there were items you wanted for your Christmas projects, or possibly to give as gifts. I know that some of the items will sell out quickly, so if there are items you can’t resist, I’d suggest getting them before the opening. *wink* Ideally, I would have a studio full of products for the shop, but alas, starting a business is a little spendy and I’m having to do things little by little. However, if things go well, you can be sure I’ll be keeping stock fuller and then the REAL fun can start to happen and I can add more products to the shop.

In the meantime, if you feel like shopping in the Pretty Pink Pink shop and being one of the first customers, that would mean the world to me. I’ve already filled some orders and I absolutely have loved seeing the response. A few people have already mentioned they are loving the packaging and the little details I add to make it a truly “happy mail package”….I hope I can send some more out! Now if you would rather wait to order until you start seeing samples, that’s okay too! I just wanted to give my amazing readers a little heads up so they can have the first pick of things. :)

December 1st will be here before we know it- I hope you’ll join in the festivities! I’ll be back in just a bit with the next Favorite Free Fonts feature. See you then!

10 Minute Craft Dash #30

CD_30

Colors: Pale yellow, Navy, Magenta

It’s time for a new 10 Minute Craft Dash! I typically try to stay seasonal with my colors, but I thought I’d shake things up a bit and went with a color palette that can be used year round. As you’ll see from both my DT and the sponsors DT, you really could use this for any occasion!

I’m pleased to announce a new sponsor to the challenge! Uniko Studio features high quality photopolymer stamps designed & manufactured in the UK and they also carry matching steel dies! Today’s card was the first time I tried both products and they worked beautifully. (I used the Bright Butterflies set and matching dies)

* If you aren’t able to stay within the 10 minutes, you can still link up your item! While it won’t quality for the winner spot, it still could qualify as a favorites pick!

Ready to see what the prize is? The lucky winner will received a £15 store certificate to Uniko Studio (a little over $24 USD).  With their growing line of stamps and dies, you will have so much fun shopping!

CD_30_prizeWant a little more inspiration with these colors? The Uniko Studio DT is joining along in today’s challenge. This will be the first time just about all of them have attempted the challenge, so I’m extra excited to see what they created. Be sure to stop by and take a peek at their items!

Today’s winner is a name you may recognize- she was on the very first Craft Dash design team! While I miss having her on the team dearly, I’m so happy she still participates when she can.

Die Coupon Alert!

If you have followed my blog for a while, you know I am all about sharing savings with my readers. Right now, Ellen Hutson has a 20% off savings coupon for ALL of the dies they have in stock. Holy moly! They carry so many great dies (the last time I checked they had over 2400!) and we all know that dies make life so much easier.

ellencouponCurious as to what dies are currently on my wish list? I honestly could have filled this whole post up, but I’m thought I’d limit it to just 15 for today. All of the dies I listed were currently in stock when I typed up this post, so hopefully you’ll be able to get them at this great savings!

I’ll be honest, since I put quite a bit into the opening of my shop, I won’t be able to take advantage of this GREAT savings coupon, but I hope that some of you will! Speaking of the shop…..everything is packaged and now I just need to take photographs of the products!

Sweet readers, I’m curious, what’s on YOUR die wish list at the moment?

*I want to note that I’m an Ellen Hutson affiliate, but only because I adore them so much. Any products purchased through the links I have listed, or the EH sidebar ad on my site, will provide me with a small commission which in turn helps keep this site running and also helps me provide giveaways & prizes. If you plan on doing any EH orders now or in the future, feel free to use my link! :)

Bright Paisley Birds

Have you ever found yourself using a stamp or set in a unconventional way? Today I’ll be sharing a card that fits this description.

My bestie is one of the most creative people and I know. She’s gifted in all the areas I’m not- cooking, sewing, babysitting, piano playing…. on top of that, she’s also good at everything craft related. Now she doesn’t stamp (except when she visits me), but she always has great ideas of what I should try out with my stamps. When I showed her this paisley set, she said I should try creating birds with them. What in the world?! Would this even be possible? Much to my delight, it WAS possible and the results are darling.paisley

prettypinkposh_paisley2a

It may be a little obvious that I had this card in the archives. The colors are ones I typically use in the summer and one of the rhinestones shifted (I’m guessing because it was under a stack of other cards that have yet to see the blog). I wasn’t kidding when I said I need an assistant…

prettypinkposh_paisley2b

In closing, I have to share another shop update. I’m bursting with excitement…..and no, it’s not just from all coffee I’ve drank today. The labels that go with the items in my shop finally arrived and today I’ll be receiving the rest of my items. Needless to say, I will be a busy bee this weekend getting things ready, shipping items out to some upcoming special guests and hopefully getting some samples made. I’ll be posting a picture on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter later today with a sneak peek of what will be in the shop!

Thank you to everyone who has shared in my excitement thus far and already promised to purchase from me (even though I haven’t officially confirmed what I’m selling). I feel so blessed and I’m hopeful this little shop will do well so I can bring even more exciting things in the future! :)

Family Game Night #2

I’ve been meaning to do this post for quite some time….it’s a sequel to the popular Family Game Night post I did last year. If you enjoy game night with family or friends, you’ll enjoy this post and the previous one.

I know it’s so easy to crash in front of the tv at night, or have the kiddos get on their electronic devices nowadays. Honestly, I don’t have an issue with these things, but these aren’t things that will build memories or they’ll look back on and have fond memories of. Some of my fondest memories are of the late night games we used to play- no electronics or cell phones, just time together.

Side note: with Christmas right around the corner, this list might come in handy for your game loving recipients!
