Happy Owls

Hello, sweet friends!

As some of you may have noticed, I haven’t been posting too often, but that’s not to say I haven’t been keeping busy. I have three videos going up within the week, the brand new dies and Patriotic Embellishment Kit will release on Sunday and there’s lots of other things happening behind-the-scenes. There are collaborations coming, new products and well, you just never know what other surprises I have up my sleeves.

Recently my dad needed me to re-create a card for a show display and well, I had to change it up a bit. I don’t know about you, but I rarely create the exact same card over- there’s always something I want to change! This card was inspired by THIS CARD that I posted for an old blog hop.

Pretty Pink Posh I Happy Owls

I’ve been getting TONS of emails and comments asking where this large stitched tag is from. Good news: it’s a die that I designed and will be available for purchase on Sunday. Just a few more days! Also, that fun stitched “hill” is part of the border trio that I designed as well.

Curious as to why there are eight owls on this card? The original card was designed for my dad as a Father’s Day card and there are 5 of us kids (the ones in the box), then there is my brother-in-law and my parents. Whenever I can, I always try to include the 5 of us kids into the cards for my parents…. speaking of which, I should probably start designing my Father’s Day card for this year!

Pretty Pink Posh I Happy Owls

Since this card was based off of a previous card, I’d love to hear which one you prefer! Personally, I like the new one (since it’s more my colors and style now), but I’m curious to hear your opinions! I’m thinking this might be a fun feature….yes? no?

owlsThat’s all for today’s post. I’m hoping to craft all day today, if that happens, I’ll post snapshots of what I’m working on to my social media accounts. Be sure to follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Sending big crafty hugs to you all….

Patriotic Shaker + Special Offer

Happy Memorial Day, my sweet readers!

Before I start with my post, I want to say a giant thank you to those who have served in the military, or have family members who do. There are no words to say how truly grateful I am for your service and all that you have sacrificed. I wish I could personally say a giant thank you to each of you!

In honor of this special day, I wanted to do something extra special. I’m offering up a LIMITED quantity of combo packs of the not-yet-released Pretty Pink Posh dies and Patriotic Embellishment Kit. Pretty nifty, right? These products won’t be released until June 1st, but today I’m putting some up for sale in honor of this special day.

Combo1-2

I wanted to make a card in honor of this special day for a family who serves in the military. They actually are moving away next month (big, sad tears), but I’m so grateful they were stationed here for a bit. I made a patriotic shaker card….actually there are three shakers on this card! Each of the stars are mini shakers!

Pretty Pink Posh I Star Shaker

If you are new to sequin shakers, I put together a video showing how to make your own. It’s not as overwhelming as it may look, I promise! It has been such a joy to see so many of you making sequin shakers after watching my tutorial. Seeing that my video has inspired you totally makes the work behind it so worth it!

In closing, I want to again note that the combo packs are limited to quantities on hand, so be sure to pick yours up as quickly as possible! If you aren’t able to get one, or perhaps you want the kit or dies individually, they’ll be available on June 1st.

I hope that you all have a wonderful Memorial Day. xo

Pandas + Craft Haul

Happy Monday!

As we approach the end of the month, I wanted to make sure I shared my May Craft Haul video and post. One of the new stamp sets I purchased was the Mama Elephant Pandamonium. Truth be told, I kept taking this set in and out of my cart (since other items were higher on my list), but I finally decided to get it.

In today’s card, you may notice a few products that are new. I’m thrilled to say that these products will be in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop on June 1st. The design team and I are super ecstatic about these products and I have a feeling you will be too!

Pretty Pink Posh I Happy Pandas

I went the route of doing bold colors and I think it looks great with these pandas. I kept it simple as far as embellishments- the only one I added was some black twine. Since the background stood out so much and the pandas were the focus, I didn’t want to take away from that.

In this second picture, you may be able to spot the new products a little better. Do you see them? I can’t wait to read your guesses!

Pretty Pink Posh I Happy Pandas

Okay, now onto the haul video…. You can view it here in this post, or you can CLICK HERE to view it on YouTube.

Thanks for stopping in and spending some of your Monday with me. I hope your week is off to a fantastic start!

Sneak Peek, Update & More!

Hello, sweet friends!

I had hoped to have this post go live yesterday, but this week has been rough on me health wise. On the outside, for those who don’t know me, life may look like rainbows and butterflies for me, but that’s far from the truth. Many of you know that I have been dealing with ongoing health issues since my car accident 21 months ago and recently I’ve hit another rough patch.(The latest health update is HERE) It’s been frustrating, to say the least. I’m going to try eliminating foods again and we’ll see if that helps. Thank you to those who have emailed and sent well wishes in the form of cards and gift cards in the mail or even Paypal donations. It truly means a lot to me.

Okay, enough of those things…. let’s get to today’s card and a sneak peek! This card is one many of you will recognize- I featured it in my April 2014 Craft Favorites video.

Pretty Pink Posh I Spring Birds

Lately I have been on this kick of creating “mini scenes” on my cards and these little “windows” are perfect for doing just that. You could do it comic book style and have each square be individual pictures, or you can have the scene go landscape style. Both ways are SUPER cute and you can be sure I’m making lots more cards in this style.

For those who have purchased the 4mm sequins, I hope that you’ve been enjoying them as much as I have been! I LOVE this smaller size and it works well with the 6mm sequins. If you’ve been wanting to order some and you shop at Ellen Hutson, I’m happy to announce that ALL of them are now available there!

Pretty Pink Posh I Spring Birds

On my Instagram and Facebook page yesterday, I posted a sneak peek of a card I just made with some new products coming in June. Can you spot anything new from this picture? As we get closer to June, I’ll post more sneak peeks and let you in on something that’s happening on June 5th!

sneakpeek11

I wanted to formally announce the winner of the $25 gift certificate giveaway I hosted last week. The winner was Melissa K. Dehne! I have emailed you Melissa…be sure to check your inbox!

That’s going to do it for this post. Again, thank you to all of you who have sent well wishes and prayers. I am very, very grateful.

Critter Hello

* Oops! This was supposed to go live on Monday…. oh technology!

Happy Monday!

To all of the mothers that read my blog: I hope that you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. This year, my family has been busy with various activities, so we opted to have a low-key day together. My sister and brother-in-law came over, my dad made his scrumptious mac & cheese (seriously, this stuff is AMAZING) and then we ended the night we yummy frozen drinks and ice cream. Simply blissful!

I had hoped to take a few days off of work, but on Saturday, I just couldn’t hang up my responsibilities. I finished up a large wholesale order (stay tuned…Ellen Hutson will have ALL of the 4mm sequins very soon!) and also started picking some of the orders that came in from the shop. For those who have ordered, I’m working on packaging as quickly as I possibly can and will ship very soon!

hello1a

Today’s card isn’t fancy, but it IS cute. As I was organizing videos on the Pretty Pink Posh YouTube channel, I realized I hadn’t used my Quinn’s ABCs dies in quite some time. When I first purchased it, I did a video on it (see it HERE) and I thought it was time to break them out again. Oh goodness, I forgot how much I love these dies!

hello1b

Did anyone happen to notice that background stamp? It’s from the Mama Elephant On Point Borders set I recently purchased and boy, do I love it! The raccoon and hedgehog are from the Lawn Fawn Critters in the Forest set and the bird is from the Year Four set.

excitingnewsI better wrap this post up. Right now I’m working on samples for the June release and word is, there’s a new product coming to the shop! Any guesses on what it might be? As we get closer to the date, I’ll start giving you hints and sneak peeks!

May Wish List + Giveaway!

maywishlist

Hello and Happy Friday!

Today I’m bringing my (monthly) On the Wish List feature back to the blog. I’ve been so busy with my full-time job on top of my Pretty Pink Posh work… sadly, this feature got temporarily put on the back burner. I’m still trying to find a groove and rhythm of fitting everything I need to do into my daily life, but I’ll get there….eventually.

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, I wanted to let you all know about a 20% Ellen Hutson coupon code.  After all, we all like saving a little money on crafty goodness!

momsday14In case you’re overwhelemed with the amount of crafting goodness there is, I’ll share what on MY wish list right now. Yes, a couple items are ones I’ve listed in the past, but I still haven’t purchased the items. (So many cute items, so little money!)

I wanted to also share some of my current craft favorites….in case you still haven’t gotten a chance to pick them up. These items are tried and true products I love- I hope you love them just as much as I do!

You all know I absolutely ADORE Ellen and her team and I wanted to offer up a $25 gift certificate in honor of Mother’s Day. Ellen truly is one of my biggest cheerleaders and I’m SO blessed to have her carry my products. Also, stay tuned- very soon she’ll have all of my 4mm sequins on her site!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

I plan on taking the weekend off from packaging orders and sneak some craft time in. Granted, it’s not exactly a work-free weekend, but it’ll be a nice break. You can bet I’ll have a Starbucks cup nearby (a HUGE thank you to those who sent over donations! I’ll be sending handmade thank you cards to you very soon!)

Have a splendid weekend!

Blog Hop Winners!

POLL: If you could suggest a theme for the next blog hop, what would it be?  I have several ideas, but I would love to hear yours!

It’s the moment many of you have been waiting for…..it’s time to announce the lucky winners of the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop. There are LOTS and LOTS of winners in this post, so be sure to look through it completely- you just might be one of the lucky winners!

In case there is any question as to how these winners/ comments were picked, rest assured it was completely at random. Thanks to a handy online program (and the good old eye closing and randomly scrolling down to comments), I compiled this post of winners.

Before I continue on, I must give a GIANT thank you to each one of the sponsors. This blog hop wouldn’t have been quite as amazing without all their love, support, prizes and the help of several DT’s. Thank you to Waffle Flower Crafts, Authentique Paper, Stamp Nation, Top Dog Dies, Simon Says Stamp, Ellen Hutson, May Arts, Lawn Fawn, DeNami Design and WPlus9 Design Studio for donating prizes for this event!

First off, let’s start off with the participants who won prizes. In the polaroids, you’ll see the winning entry and name, along with the prize listed next to it.

bloghopwinners1And now it’s time to announce the lucky winners who left comments on various stops on the blog hop. It warmed my heart to see that many of you took the time to leave sweet comments- I know that those who participated appreciated each and every one of them!

Below you’ll see a picture and then a name/comment with a prize underneath it. The picture shows the blog hop stop the comment was left at and the name/ comment is the winner of the prize listed below. I tried to make it straightforward, but alas, it was hard to fit all the necessary info!

Without further ado, here are the winning comments!

bloghopwinners2

I promised to provide a $20 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson or Simon Says Stamp for every 100 entries and it’s time to announce the winner of that prize.

bloghopwinners3

WINNERS: please contact me at prettypinkposh (at) gmail.com with your name, list the prize you won, along with your mailing address.

borderA BIG thank you to everyone who participated, left comments and shared loving words to me regarding this blog hop. Since this was the first blog hop Pretty Pink Posh hosted, I wasn’t sure how it would be received, but I’ll say that this one was a success!

It was quite a lot of work to coordinate with sponsors, organize prizes and plan everything out. However, your comments and entries made it worth it! As soon as I finish up with orders and correspondence, I plan on taking a few much needed days off.

donateFor those who have asked how they can thank me for the hop…. I’m providing a way for you to donate! (Which really just means it’ll help fuel me for lots more blog posts, orders and videos) *wink*– Send a Paypal donation

Thank you all again so very much for the love- I can’t wait to start planning for the  next blog hop!

You Crack Me Up!

Good morning, sweet friends!

As I write this, I’m in awe of the response I’ve received from my amazing customers and readers. I received MANY orders for the new 4MM size sequins and have been working tirelessly packaging all weekend. Rest assured, I’m packaging the sequins as quickly as I can and I’ll be shipping orders as soon as possible. I had hoped to take a few days off this weekend, but I just couldn’t have you all wait for orders longer than necessary…. as soon as I finish up with the orders, I’ll take some (much needed) days off.

Oh yes, I also must address the question of when I’ll be announcing all of the winners for the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop. I plan on doing that sometime this week, so stay tuned! Gathering the names and random comments will take quiet a bit of time, so please be patient with me.

Today I wanted to share a card using the Just Hatched set I recently purchased. Oh goodness, I love this set so much and if you don’t have it yet, I’d suggest getting it while it’s in stock. LOVE!

Pretty Pink Posh I Spring Chicks

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the new size of sequins? For this card I used the 4mm Marigold, 4mm Tangerine and one of the regular Marigold sequins. To finish off the card, I added the chevron yellow ribbon, also available in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop.

Pretty Pink Posh I Spring Chicks

It’s time to announce the lucky winner of the sequin prize pack from the DT announcement post. I’m so thrilled that you all are excited about the new additions to the team- they truly are amazing gals. Thank you for welcoming them with open arms and leaving them lots of love!

Okay, here’s the winner that the Rafflecopter widget picked…. paperdiva

Adrienne, I will email you for your address so I can mail off this prize pack of sequins! I can’t wait for your to play with all of these fun sequins….especially since they’re the ones the DT loves most!

That’s going to wrap up today’s post. Thank you all for your continued love and support, along with your patience on announcing the blog hop winner.

Have a terrific Monday!

New Products + Giveaway

It’s the day many of you have been waiting for…. the 4mm size sequins are now available in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop! You all know I’m a huge fan of sequins, but let me tell you, I have fallen even more in love with sequins now that I’ve been playing with this new size.

In previous months, I’ve released kits, twine and other products, but this month I wanted to focus on sequins. After all, there are quite a few colors and I wanted to give your wallet a little break….until next month!

For today’s card, I wanted to make something for my best friend who is in Japan for a year. With the busyness of life, I haven’t sent her a care package yet, but now that I have a cute card, I’m almost ready to send one. After all, a card IS quite important for us card makers, right? *wink*

Pretty Pink Posh I Elephant Friends

I thought the addition of the new mini sized sequins was perfect. If I had used the large sequins, it would seem overbearing and crowded, but these little ones are simply wonderful on this card. Don’t you think?

In case you’re curious what products I used for this card, here they are: True Friend stamp set, Love You Tons stamp set, Love You Tons dies, Happy Trails stamp set, Stitched Journaling Card die, Grass Border die, Speech Trio dies.

*If you have specific questions on this card, leave a comment and I’ll answer there!

Pretty Pink Posh I Elephant Friends

I filmed a video showing all of the colors in the 4mm size, along with a few comparisons in the sizes. Now if you aren’t a fan of sequins, I don’t have any new products for you this month. However, next month I definitely will!

In case you missed the DT announcement yesterday, I have added three brand new designers to the team. Oh, but that’s not all, I also asked each of the DT members what their favorite sequins  are and I put them together for a little giveaway. This is a great way to try out Pretty Pink Posh sequins, or to add a nice variety to your growing collection! giveaway_1Boy, this week has been packed full of posts and fun! In between all the planning that went involved in the blog hop to prepping for the new release and filming videos, I’m exhausted. After today, I’m taking a few days for myself to rest up, recoup and of course, do a little planning for what’s ahead. I’ll ship orders out as soon as I can!

Who is ready to do some shopping? I cannot wait to pick your orders and see what items caught your eye. Thank you to everyone who has shown your love, support and encouragement. Happy shopping!

DT Announcement + Giveaway

Six months ago today I officially opened up the Pretty Pink Posh Shop! It’s been a CRAZY rollercoaster of a ride thus far and I can say for certain that even more exciting things are coming in the future.

I am so blessed to have an amazing design team and with the growth these last six months, I wanted to add a few more talented ladies to the design team. You’ll recognize these ladies…they have been using my products so beautifully and because of their samples, I just had to add them to the team officially!

Please join me in giving a warm welcome to these new designers….

Amy

I am so honored to be a part of the Pretty Pink Posh design team! When I create, I find that adding those tiny embellishments such as twine or sequins make the perfect addition to my card or project. I’m excited for what Paulina has to offer and what new things are coming!!

I’m a wife, mom of 2, and full time dialysis RN living in Kansas. I have enjoyed papercrafting of all kinds since I started but it’s the cardmaking that has captured my heart!! I love to create cards and am a very late night crafter. I enjoy adding embellishments to give an otherwise CAS card some wow factor. I can’t wait to show you how!

Gayatri

My name is Gayatri Murali also known as scrapawayg3 at various galleries. I am a therapist by profession but chose to be a stay at home mom to my children. I live in Perth, Australia with my husband, two teen children and my dog. I have been papercrafting for the past 10 years.

My style is clean simple, bold and bright especially, graphic designs with a technique or two. Trends inspire me a lot. You can see a lot of trendy stuff on my cards. Accenting with embellishments adds diemension, texture and completes my cards. So I love embellishments especially sequins and coloured twine.

If you have been following my work, you will know that I am a big fan of Pretty Pink Posh’s sequins. Many of my cards are not complete without PPP sequins. That is how much I love them. I am thrilled to design for Pretty Pink Posh and thank you for giving me the opportunity, Paulina. Looking forward to share my projects using PPP embellishments.

Laura

Hi! My name is Laura Sterckx and I’m 17 years old. I live in Belgium with my parents, my doggy Jinny and my crazy canary. In 2010 I discovered cardmaking trough one of Kristina Werner’s old Finally Friday videos. Immediately after that, I started to build my own cardmaking stash and joined the craft blogging community.

Whenever I feel like a card misses something, I reach out to my box of embellishments (mostly sequins!) and I add a couple of them. I LOVE that something so small can make such a big difference! :)

If you’re new to my company or blog, you may not have seen the DT announcement I made previously. I introduced five amazingly talented gals to my team and I am SO honored that they are all staying and joining me for this next term.
