I know this is EXTREMELY late, but I thought the phrase “better late than never” applied to this situation.
It’s been quite a while since I did a craft favorites video and last month, I decided to film one since I got some time in to craft. In this video I show what I was loving in November and then you can find the links below (just in case you need to write a list for Santa).
Each of the products shown are ones that I personally give a big thumbs up to and stand behind. Some of these products were in my last favorites, which is just proof that I love it A LOT.
Despite the fact that I’m totally behind on everything Christmas, I really wanted to do something special for a few people that I see on a regular basis. You know, the people at the post office, UPS and USPS delivery drivers, my baristas- the ones that sometimes get overlooked during the holidays, but that make our lives easier and more pleasant.
I was out and about and found a few items that I thought would be great little gifts for them. Well, leave it to this crafty girl to package it up, snap some photos and a video and create some stamped (but simple) gift tags. Nothing fussy about these, but I think it’ll bring a little Christmas cheer to each person.
1) cranberry cereal bars from Trader Joes (granola bars would be good, too!) 2) chocolate bark from Target 3) Lindt Lindor mini chocolates 4) hand sanitizer from Bath & Body Works 5) Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark squares
Lately I haven’t been posting many videos, but I really am trying to change that when the weather permits. It was sunny yesterday, so I decided to take advantage of that and film a quick video showing you this quick and easy gift idea, along with the gift tags that I whipped up using the Snow Days and Milo’s ABCs sets from Lawn Fawn.
Let me know if you were inspired by this video and post- your input really does help with the content I post. I want to continue posting things you enjoy and would love to hear what you would like to see more of in 2015!
Oh boy, it has been a crazy two weeks. I am all caught up on orders and I’m excited because I’ve set aside the whole day to just craft. I’m going to try to avoid business things today and be creative in the studio, edit videos and maybe even schedule some blog posts. Eeeek, I don’t even know where to begin!
To kick off my creative day- why yes, I think this is what I will put in my planner whenever I craft- I thought I’d bring a brand new post to share. I created these cards and video right before the Black Friday madness and now I get to share them. I know it’s getting awfully close to Christmas, but these DeNami Design stamps are adorable and you just might want to pick them up for next year’s cards.
No surprise here, but I had to create at leas one shaker card for this post. The Penguins In Igloo stamp is just plain adorable, so I decided to let it shine and not add any other stamps. I paired the stamp with the Stitched Duo 1 and Stitched Borders 1 dies for the focal point and added a little handful of sequins.
My second card is one of my favorites from the past few months. Every once in a while, a card will turn out exactly how I envisioned and this card was one of those lucky ones. I’ve been loving red these days- it’s so festive and bold- and I paired it with a fresh green and gray. A little twist to the “traditional” Christmas colors.
This card highlights the No Peeking Chickie Circle, along with the Chickie Christmas Garland. These stamps are two of my favorites from all of the Christmas releases I’ve seen this year. They’re cute, versatile and sure to bring a smile wherever they’re seen.
You may have noticed that I used the Stitched Film Strip on this card, but I used it in a different way. Instead of creating three mini scenes, or having critters peek out of all the squares, I decided to have the circle stamp in the middle and then do little scenes at the top and bottom. I totally love how this turned out and am already looking at my other circle stamps to see what other combinations I can create!
I recently was introduced to the Silver Delicata ink pad and I am IN LOVE. It’s so perfect! I need to get my hands on the gold one since I don’t have any good gold metallic ink pads. How did I not find these sooner?!
To coordinate with today’s post, I have a video showcasing these cards, along with an extra one and a look at the whole DeNami Winter 2014 release.
GIVEAWAY WINNER: It’s time to announce the winner of the Studio L2e set and PPP gift certificate from my last giveaway. Congratulations to Anika Estes! I have emailed you and you will have seven days to claim your prize.
For those who entered my latest giveaway- thank you! It was so fun to read about the last time you mailed out cards and to also introduce many of you to the brand Studio L2e. If you’re planning on getting organized in the new year and keeping a planner, be sure to check out Kanani’s adorable line of stamps.
That’s going to wrap up my post for today. I hope you’re having a great December and getting all sorts of Christmas projects finished.
Today is a bittersweet day in paper crafts blog land. As many have probably heard, the doors to Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine are closing. This magazine won my heart a few years ago with their creative ideas, innovative features and their editors and Go-to Gals hilarious personalities. To this day, I still haven’t met any of them, but I FEEL like I have with the coorespondance and interactions I’ve had with these dear, sweet gals.
Why did I say bittersweet? While I am still in shock of the news, I know that seeing this blog hop and all the love that went into the posts, projects, videos, etc.. will warm the hearts of the gals who made up PC&S. These lovely ladies inspired us, shared their talents and also pushed us to be more creative in our hobby. I hope that this blog hop will be a little virtual hug for each of them– oh and based on the amount of stops, they’ll be getting over 200 hugs! :)
*For those who are hopping along, you should be coming from Audrey Tokach’s blog.
One thing that stood out to me every time I opened a magazine was the amount of color packed in each issue. With that being said, I decided to go with a bright card that also happens to feature the stamps of one of the Go-To gals, Heather Campbell! I just love the Fabulous Florals set that she designed for Avery Elle.
For this card, I went to my current go-to layout, which has the Stitched Duo 1 die as the focal point. This tag is the perfect size for an A2 size card and you can create all sorts of fun scenes, bouquets and layouts with it. I went the route of creating a floral cluster in a variety of colors and then added the “hello darling” sentiment. To finish off the card, I added all three sizes of my Sparkling Clear sequins.
Your next stop in the hop is the Reverse Confetti blog. I’m sure Jen has something fun to share with you! You’re almost to the halfway mark, so now might be a good time to refill the coffee cup- I know there are some amazing projects ahead!
In closing, I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to each of the gals that made up PC&S. You inspired me to continue crafting (when I almost gave it up), to submit to publications and go outside my comfort zone, to find a balance between being trendy and finding my own style, to build friendships in the crafting community and most of all, to share paper crafts with those around me.
It’s December 1st and that means it’s officially been one year since I opened the Pretty Pink Posh Shop. These last twelve months have been a wild ride. They were filled with surprises, unexpected opportunities, encouragement, love, support and many, many orders. If I had to choose word word to describe how I’m feeling right now, it would be GRATEFUL.
While I have a ton of Black Friday orders to fulfill, I wanted to stop and take the time to say thank you. Thank you to those who have purchased from me, or purchased my products through one of my retailers. Thank you to those who have stopped to email, comment or mail a card to say how much you enjoy my products. Thank you to those who have been there for me when I doubted myself and didn’t know if I had made the right move to do this full-time. Thank you to those who create with my products and share them on your blog or social media. Thank you to YOU, my amazing readers. I am truly blessed by you.
Okay, now let me get to my notecards and the giveaway info…
Can I let you in on a secret? I actually created these back in July and never got around to posting them. Every now and then, I create a bunch of cards and then I either don’t have time to blog them all, or they don’t fit with the season, or my style changes. These fall into the first category… I actually love how they turned out, but I kept forgetting to re-photograph the cards. A sunny day came and I finally got around to taking photos and voila!
These cards feature the adorable Studiol2e Special Delivery set. I paper pieced them with some patterned paper, layered it onto the Stitched Duo 2 and added the scallop from the Stitched Borders 1 set, embellished with some sequins and layered it onto some pieces of cardstock. Super easy, but they beat any card you get in the greeting card aisle!
I have to say, the little sentiments that are included in this set are perfect. On my first notecard, I used the “just a note”, but on this second one, I decided to use the “a little bit of happy mail” sentiment. As many of you know, when I send out my orders I attach a label that says “happy mail” on the outside, so I especially love this sentiment. Who doesn’t love happy mail?!
My sweet friend and owner of Studiol2e, Kanani, who generously donated this set for this giveaway (along with another set that I’ll be giving away in a future post). If you haven’t already, be sure to check out her other stamps. She is a HUGE inspiration to me and my business and if you’re a planner addict, you will LOVE her and her line of stamps.
Now you may be asking if I’m doing something to celebrate this occasion…. I am! However, I wanted to make sure it was a special event and with the hubbub of Christmas, I decided to postpone the festivities a month. So, come January, be ready for new products, a three day event and lots of special guests and inspiration.
Okay, I really should be wrapping up this post and getting back to fulfilling orders. Thank you again for allowing me to live my dream and being so supportive and encouraging. I’ll chat with you all soon!
I wasn’t originally going to do a post like this, but I’ve had some people ask me where some good sales are, so I thought I would make it easy and do a quick post sharing some sales I’ve spotted. Plus, if you use the links I provide, it helps provide funds for future giveaways!

I honestly wish I could write a personal thank you to note to each and every one of my readers, customers and supporters. I would not be where I am- with the Pretty Pink Posh Shop, my journey to find a new “normal” since the accident, and a plethora of other opportunities had it not be for you. I am amazed at how far this blog has come and the amazing friendships I have made writing on this little part of the internet.
Today I’m recycling an old card I made…I hope you don’t mind. It features all sorts of Thanksgiving goodness, PLUS, it’s one of the rare times I feature my 6mm flat sequins! For those who enjoy sequins, but don’t want to add bulkiness to your cards, this is the perfect way to achieve that!
I am in love with the little jingle bells that I have in the shop and I think adding 1, 2, 3 or more to a card makes it a little more festive. Plus, it’s hard to pass up the sound of the little jingles.
For those who love a good sale, my friends at DeNami Design are doing 20% off ALL STAMPS until November 30, 2014. I’m a big fan of wood mounted stamps (after all, these are what got me into stamping) and there are tons of super cute designs there. Today’s leaves and houndstooth background are by DeNami, along with all the stamps in the cards below.
I truly hope you all have a wonderful day, whether it be with family, friends or your craft supplies. I know we all face challenges and battles, but I hope that we can all stop and soak in all that we have to be grateful for.
Sending big giant hugs to each of you who continue to encourage, support and spread love to me. I am so very grateful for you.
For those who are like me and plan ahead…. here’s what my Black Friday Sale will be in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop. I will be stocking up the store with TONS of inventory on Thursday night and then you’ll get to check out and take advantage of this great savings on Friday morning.
I originally was only going to do a 6 hour sale, but I decided to make it a 12 hour sale, just so my international customers wouldn’t miss out on any of the savings. As you know, I already keep my prices low, so I don’t often do coupons, but I thought today was coupon worthy and I bumped it up to a 15% savings on all in-stock sequins and dies!
Not valid on previous orders, coupon code must be entered. Every order placed from 6am- 6pm, PST on November 28, 2014 will receive a free gift.
Well, it’s in the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday, so I’m going to wrap this up so I can tackle orders, emails and inventory later today. I hope LOTS and LOTS of you will take advantage of the savings on Friday. Big hugs to you all!
As promised, I have the super lucky winner of the Feathered Friends set (from the giveaway I did in THIS VIDEO). I had so much fun reading through all of your comments on that video- I’m already starting to plan when I can do another giveaway in a video. I truly feel blessed by all of you.
Without further ado, here is the random winning comment!
For those who subscribe to the Pretty Pink Posh Shop newsletter, this is old news, but I wanted to be sure to share it on my blog. As we all know, Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday and that means Black Friday is one week away. I LOVE a good sale and I’ll be stocking up the shop and doing a six-hour sale on that day. I rarely do coupons or sales, since I keep my prices as low as possible, but every now and then a sale is a fun.
Stay tuned for details of the sale coming early next week. Thank you all from the very bottom of my heart for keeping me busy with orders and requesting my products in your local stores. I’m working as quickly as I possibly can on the orders that came on my site and I’m working on re-orders for stores and making final plans with some international stores as well. So many exciting things coming!
I’m excited to share today’s cards…not only because they’re shakers and Christmas cards, but they also feature Heather’s adorable snowman set! I showed it in my September Haul video and I FINALLY got to break it out. This snowman is so cute and by the time I finished one card, I wanted to make another. Hence the two cards!
A little back story for you all… I had heard of Heather and seen her work many times in the last few years, but our paths didn’t cross until recently. We live about an hour away from each other (LOVE finding out about fellow Seattle crafters), and while we haven’t met, just from our emails and chats, I know she is a sweetheart and I know we’ll get along beautifully when we do meet someday.
Okay, now back to the cards.
While I was in the process of creating this card, I was working on an order for Impress Rubber Stamps and they re-ordered their exclusive holiday mix. I just love this color combination and I decided to use it for this fun little card. For those who aren’t able to order it on their site or store, you can individually buy all of the colors in my shop. It’s the 4mm/ 6mm Sparkling Clear, Raspberry and Aquamarine sequins.
To finish off the cards, I added some of the snowflakes from the new Snowflake Sequin Mix, a glittered snow slope behind the shaker and then finished it off with a chevron twill bow.
The next card is pretty much exactly like the red version, except I changed the color to orange. Now you can switch it to whatever color you like, but since I’m such a fan of this chevron twill ribbon, I decided to make it a color that I had in this ribbon. Silly? Maybe, but I truly love this ribbon. I wish they had in dozens of colors!
If you’re new to shaker cards, or perhaps it’s been a while since you made one, check out my tutorial below. It’s quite easy!
GIVEAWAY WINNER: It’s time to announce the winner of the Mama Elephant set from my last giveaway. Congratulations to Vera Khule! I have emailed you and you will have seven days to claim your prize. Thanks for joining me today- I hope you were inspired by my shaker cards.
