Valentine’s Day Shaker + Giveaway

Happy Valentine’s Day, sweet readers.

I don’t know about you, but I love this holiday. Granted, I’m single and don’t have a hot date planned this year, but I love the idea of spreading love to your friends, family and loved ones. Plus, it’s hard for me to resist all the pretty reds and pinks surround the holiday!

Today I’m joining my friends at Virginia’s View Challenge for the shaker card theme is happening right now. Since I’m a big fan of shaker cards and the Pretty Pink Posh sequins and confetti are perfect for these types of cards, I’m sponsoring a prize for a lucky participant.

Pretty Pink Posh I Valentine's Day Shaker + Giveaway

Since I knew I would be posting on Valentine’s Day, I thought I would add in as much pink and red as possible. I started out with the Lawn Fawn Summertime Charm set and dies (one of my favorites) and proceeded to fill up my mason jar with all sorts of sequins and confetti.

GIVEAWAY ALERT: Since it’s Valentine’s Day, I wanted to pass on a little love to one of my readers. Leave a comment sharing something fun, happy or silly that happened to you recently. (I’m in need of a laugh). One random winner will receive a $40 Pretty Pink Posh gift certificate!

Pretty Pink Posh I Valentine's Day Shaker + Giveaway

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and pop over on to Virginia’s View Challenge. There a TON of amazing shaker card inspiration, plus, it’s always fun to participate in a challenge that has prizes!

I’ll be back on Monday with a new post AND info on a one-day sale I’m having over in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop. Thanks for spending some time with me today!

Paulina the Butterfly?

Hello, hello!

Can you believe it? I’m doing a post with a card AND I have two more coming within the next few days. I’ve been working on a lot of projects this past week and I’m super excited to share some of them very soon.

Today’s card is actually one I created quite a while ago, but never posted to the blog. It features the DARLING Paulina butterfly die from Simon Says Stamp. I don’t know the process of how they name their products, but I must say, it’s fun having something after my name. A bonus? The die is so pretty and looks perfect when you can see the sequins shine from below.

Pretty Pink Posh

This die would actually be a great one for a shaker card, or you can use it for cupcake toppers. Lots of possibilities with this pretty die cut. For this card, I used the Aquamarine, Pink Blush, Pink Peonies, Fresh Mint and Sparkling Clear sequins in the 6mm size and I love the way it turned out.

If you’re curious on how I created this card, I filmed a video on how to do this for an old 10 Minute Craft Dash video. Remember when I hosted that challenge? That was so fun and I’ve been thinking about bringing in that challenge again for a special post. Would you like to see that?

I’ll wrap this post up, but I’ll be back tomorrow for a fun shaker card and info on a challenge I’m sponsoring. See you then!

Updates & Coming Soon

Hello and Happy February!

It’s been almost three weeks since my last post and I have to say I have missed you all dearly. One of my very favorite things to do is connect with you, my readers. I know without a doubt that I wouldn’t be where I am had it not been for you and I thoroughly dislike how little time I have to blog nowadays. Rest assured, I will blog as often as I’m able to and I’m hoping to share some fun projects in the next few weeks.

Pretty Pink Posh

Before I get into today’s post, I have to say a giant thank you (again) to everyone who helped make the first year of the Pretty Pink Posh Shop so successful. I still cannot even believe all that has happened these last 13 months. Not only that, but you made last month the highest trafficked month here on the blog in the 6.5 years I’ve been blogging. These are the types of numbers I had always dreamed of and to see them come to life was a dream come true.

Pretty Pink Posh

With the birthday celebration last month, along with the fact that I was out of town for a wedding, things were a tad bit crazy. My days were literally just sleeping, eating and working for a good 2.5 weeks straight. I’m finally caught up on orders and now I’m working on some assignments that got put on hold. With that being said, I DID force myself to take a Creative Day recently and I got some cards made for some things coming up. Another BIG milestone? I took TWO consecutive days off this weekend, something that I don’t remember doing since I opened the shop. I felt so guilty going to a birthday party and watching tv, without working, but I did it and it was utter bliss.

Pretty Pink PoshWith the amount of time it took to get caught up on emails, orders and designing, I decided against a February release. However, I will have one on March 1st that has some new dies and sequins/ mixes. I also have a couple other things up my sleeves that many have been requesting… any guesses what that might be?

Before I close this, if you are on Facebook, be sure to like the Pretty Pink Posh Facebook page. I post there almost everyday- whether it be cards featuring PPP, products that have caught my eye, or little snapshots into my life. We’re closing in on 5000 followers there, so once we hit that big number, I’m thinking a giveaway will naturally have to happen. It only makes sense, right?!

I’ll be back very soon…. big hugs, sweet friends!

Birthday Celebration Winners

Hello, sweet friends.

I’m alive and somewhat on the mend from this illness I picked up from California. It’s been a full week of trying to recoup, resting whenever possible and trying to take on a lighter workload, but I’m still not feeling all the great. I’m back at it, working on orders and getting through the daily workload, but I could really use some well wishes and prayers. The amount of orders I’m sitting on is absolutely mind-blowing, so I’m hoping I can get back to “normal” so I can ship, ship, ship for days on end. In the meantime, THANK YOU for your patience!

As promised, I’m announcing the winners from the 3 day birthday celebration that took place January 8-10. You all made this event even more amazing, memorable and fun than I could have ever expected. I hope that you were inspired and I cannot wait to try to top this event next year!

Let me start out by announcing the two lucky gals who won the big prize packs….

If you watched the lastest video, you know that I’m working on a special, exclusive mix for my friends at Winnie & Walter. Be sure to mark your calendars for January 30th when this mix will go live, along with some of your favorite PPP products. I’m so honored they wanted to celebrate their event with my products and I hope they have an AMAZING and memorable birthday celebration.

Well, that’s going to wrap it up for this post. So grateful for each and every one of you.

Birthday Celebration Day #3

birthday_graphic

Hello and welcome to the last day of the birthday celebration!

Wow, you all have amazed me with your support, comments, the traffic on the blog and website and the orders. I’m still away in California for a wedding, but as soon as I get home on Monday, I’ll print off orders and start processing. I do have to note that the amount of orders is astronomical and I’m a one woman show… I will be hiring help to do some things, but a lot of the things only I’m able to do, so please bare with me.

In honor of the last day of celebrating, I’m showcasing the Peek-A-Boo die. The samples from the special guests and design team has been absolutely amazing and inspiring. Once I get home, I want to start pinning more inspiration using the dies, sequins and confetti- stay tuned for that.

Birthday Celebration Day #3

I wanted to use the Peek-A-Boo die in a unique way, so instead of something hidden, I used the die as a pocket. To finish up the scene, I used some sequin flowers to add a little more color and interest. Speaking of these flowers, I’ll be selling these in a special pack very soon…. stay tuned for that!

Birthday Celebration Day #3

Birthday Celebration Day #2

 birthday_graphic

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh 1st birthday celebration.

I hope you are ready for another day of partying- I have more designers and special guests joining me today with new inspiration. Yesterday I created a card that had more “boy” colors, so today I wanted to do the opposite and create a super girly card. Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I’m trying to create more so I can send them to some special friends.

I know that penguins tend to be used for Christmas/ Winter cards, but I thought it would be cute to use them for Valentine’s Day. Plus, I’m sure penguins fall in love, right?

Pretty Pink Posh I Birthday Celebration Day #2

For this card I used the Stitched Duo 3 dies, which I thought worked so well with the penguins. If you know me, you know I love creating window cards with critters peeking out- hence the designing of these dies!

To finish up the card, I used the red chevron twill ribbon (which I just got back in stock), along with sequins for some added detail.

Birthday Celebration Day #1

birthday_graphic

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the Pretty Pink Posh 1st birthday celebration.

For those new to my blog or company- welcome! I opened the Pretty Pink Posh Shop in December 2013 and now that the holidays are over, I wanted to celebrate in a big way. I’ve brought along some very special guests to celebrate with me, along with a whole lot of birthday gifts and a party favor to share. Grab your favorite beverage and join us for this 3 day party!

As I was pondering what to do for my projects, I thought it would be fun to highlight one of the new dies on each day. Today, I’m showcasing the Pocket Border (that released on Monday), along with the adorable monsters from Lawn Fawn.

Pretty Pink Posh I Birthday Celebration Day #1

There are so many possibilities for the Pocket Border die- this is just the tip of the iceberg! Just wait until you see the samples from the design team and special guests… I was speechless!

Did you notice anything about these monsters? I added the small Silly Eyes to them! I thought that made them even more adorable and “party ready”. To set the scene even more, I added the grass border (a MUST HAVE in my book) and my card was set.

Word for 2015: Live

Pretty Pink Posh I LIVEToday I’m taking a break from my crafty posts and bringing you my favorite type of post to write- a personal one.

As the years have gone on, this blog morphed from a crafting blog, to a hodge podge and now it’s a place where I can share my projects, but also to be open and real. With the PPP Shop opening, I had some complaints that I should stop sharing personal posts on a business blog. I’ll admit that for a few days, I struggled with this decision. The whole situation got me thinking and honestly, I wouldn’t be in the position that I am had it not been for this blog and me being me. While I can’t say this will forever be a place for me to share a mixture of both, at this time in life, I plan on keeping it the way it is. (I hope you’ll stick with me!)

Some of you may be familiar with having a word for the year. I did it in 2013 and it was COURAGE. Needless to say, the word definitely shaped my year and by December, I found the courage to pursue a dream I had– starting my own business.

Last year, was a year where I felt like I was in transition and quite honestly, things were a blur. I was dealing with the residual issues from my car accident, pursuing answers from doctors, trying to stay afloat after all the medical bills, tackling the world of being a business owner and taking a leap and quitting my job of seven years to devote my time to Pretty Pink Posh.

Now we’re here in a new year and I really wanted to have a word for this year and ultimately, the word LIVE came to mind. This year I’m determined to live. Due to my health issues, I haven’t been able to interact with friends, go places and make plans like a normal person would. Every day would bring on new challenges and since I didn’t want to back out of plans or disappoint, I would just not make any plans. I saw everyone else living their lives, but I felt like mine was almost at a standstill. In 2015, I want this to change, even if it’s baby steps. As we look to this new year, I’d like to encourage you to choose a word. Have one? I would LOVE to hear what it is!

I’ll see you all tomorrow for day 1 of the birthday celebration with special guests, prizes, inspiration and more!

January 2015 Release + Giveaway

Happy New Year, sweet friends!

It’s the day many of you have been counting down to…. RELEASE DAY. Today I’m releasing a brand new product, new sequin mixes, a new ribbon and three brand new dies in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop.

Today’s card  features the new Stitched Duo 3 die, along with the previously released Sweetheart Mix. I have to say, I am totally in love with this new die set and I’m so excited to share that ALL of the Stitched Duo “inner” pieces work interchangeably. (You can see more of this in my video today)

Pretty Pink Posh I January 2015 Release

I didn’t do anything too fussy with today’s card, I really just wanted the new die to take the spotlight. For the stamps, I used one of my favorite sets called Just Hatched by Mama Elephant. I’ve used these birdies on many cards in the past and I think they work so perfectly with my dies.
