Pretty Pink Posh + Glue Dots Collaboration Hop Day 1

A very big crafty hello and welcome to our very special blog hop collaboration with Pretty Pink Posh & Glue Dots! Marge here and I’m so happy to share my card with you for our fun and creative collaboration blog hop by Pretty Pink Posh and Glue Dots.

I started my card by stamping Autumn Wreath on a piece of kraft card stock using a pale gray colored dye ink to do no-line coloring. I then colored the images using copic markers and polychromo pencils. I stamped a turkey from Happy Turkey stamp set on another piece of kraft card stock and did the same no-line coloring.  After I had done my coloring, I added white gel pen details, and then I cut the turkey using Happy Turkey coordinating dies.

For sentiment tag, I stamped ‘autumn greetings’ from Pumpkin Patch Critters on dark brown card stock using Versamark Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with Wow Gold Rich Pale Embossing Powder, then I diecut it using one of Mini Tag Dies. I rounded brown colored baker’s twine around the lower part of the panel, let the thread come out through a tiny hole of the tag, then made a bow. The turkey and sentiment tag were adhered on the panel using foam adhesive for dimensional look as shown in the pictures.

Next, I used Glue Dots Tape Runner to adhere the panel onto a card base. I then adhered  Metallic Gold Jewels and Ivory Jewels as a final embellishments using 3mm Glue Dots Micro Adhesive which is very useful in adhering small sized jewels and sequins. I also found that Glue Dots Dispenser is very useful to keep Glue Dots Adhesive Rolls from sticking to other materials so the rolls can be stored neat and clean. It also helps you cut the roll piece  easily.

The coloring on your card is beautiful, I always love the way the Polychromos pencils look but especially against Kraft cardstock and the Turkey is too adorable :) I was not familiar with Glue Dots until this hop, the more I see the more I’m liking them, definitely a must try! Love the bright colors on the wreath still feel perfect for fall because of the Kraft cardstock.and even am loving how the die cut turkey sits so perfectly in the center! I’m thinking it’s time to update my Glue Dot stash – those dispensers are an ingenious idea to me keep from accidentally unwinding my adhesive dots away and sticking to random bits of clutter on my workspace before I intend to use them. :)
