Hello friends! This is Mindy with you today to share some tips on how to use the brand new hot foil plates and Layered XOXO stencil.

First, I absolutely love hot foil plates and so excited to see these from Pretty Pink Posh in their signature font. They add so much shine to a project!

One of the things I cover in the video is cardstock. A smooth cardstock will give you the best results but you can also use color cardstock. By using some of the tips in the video, you can get amazing results on textured cardstock as well.

There are a few different foiling machines on the market right now but the ones I’m familiar with are Spellbinders and Crafter’s Companion. I’ll be using the Spellbinders Glimmer System in the video today.

There are also a few different glimmer foils available as well. I’m trying out the new DecoFoil Hot Foil Sheets. Don’t confuse these with their toner foil sheets which are meant to be used with a laminator.

A bonus to the Love Hot Foil Plate, is the shadow die from the Large Love Shadow die set which will cut out your foiled word.

I created a background for my foiled word using the Layered XOXO stencil, ink blending it in red and black. Then I added a glitter glaze over the black layer for sparkle.

To diffuse the background a little, I used the Scallop Frame and some vellum layered together with liquid glue.

My finishing touch is adding a smaller sentiment from the XOXO stamp set. I heat embossed it in White onto Black cardstock and trimmed down to a thin strip.

Hey friends! It’s Mindy with you today and I am sharing how I’m stretching the use of my holiday stamps. I’m also going to step it up a little and use non-traditional holiday colors.

I’m going to be starting with the Snowflakes stencil and adding it to white cardstock using a light gray ink. I wanted something subtle so it didn’t overpower my images.

Next, I’m going to use the Pine Wreath stamp and instead of using a traditional green, I’m going to stamp it in blue ink.

I’m going to use a bunch of the smaller elements from the Pine Wreath stamp set and color them with some Triblend alcohol ink markers in some non-traditional colors. Then use the coordinating die to cut them out.

Before I attach anything to my card front, I’m going to stamp my sentiment so it’s in the center of the wreath. The Mouse Friends stamp set not only has some adorable images but a really good versatile sentiment.

Then I can add my wreath and smaller elements for foam squares.

This wreath would be great all year round by just switching up the color you stamp it in and the smaller elements you decorate it with.

Hi crafty friends. It’s Lisa Mears here. I love sipping hot chocolate to stay warm on a cold winter day and today I’m sharing a hot chocolate card to send warm winter greetings.

I used the Winter Mug die set and filled the mug with a candy cane, marshmallows, and holly leaves. I added a snowflake to the front of the mug. I added the mug to two nested ovals.

For my background, I used the Pinstripe Stencil. I inked the stencil with red ink onto white cardstock. I cut my stenciled background with a rectangle die and layered it on a piece of red cardstock.

I added the oval to the top of the pinstripe background and added the poinsettia from the Winter Foliage die set. I love that the layers of the poinsettia can be stacked to add dimension to it.

I stamped the sentiment “Warm Winter Wishes” from the Holiday Sentiments stamp set and added it to my card. I added Ruby Red Pearls to the card and Pine Green Pearls to the center of the poinsettia. My finished card measures 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”.

Hello friends! It’s Mindy with you today to share a fun way to color up your die cuts. I’ll be using my Distress Mica Stains but I talk in the video about other ways you can color them up.

Using sprays is a way to quickly add color to your die cuts, add texture and it’s tons of fun! I’m using my seasonal Distress Mica Sprains because they have some gorgeous shine in them that I want on my die cuts.

It’s best to use a watercolor paper when using sprays because it can hold up to water really well. You can either spray directly onto your surface and smoosh your paper into the ink or spray directly onto the paper. Drying the paper and smooshing again will add more texture to the background.

After the paper is completely dry, I can die cut from it using the Winter Foliage dies. I’m also going to die cut the foliage from white cardstock and gold mirror cardstock.

For the center of the flower, I’m going to use Metallic Gold Pearls adhered with liquid glue.

The background for the card was created using the Layering Snowflake stencil blended onto light blue cardstock with a light blue ink. I love how the red pops off of the blue background.

The card is finished off with a sentiment from the Holiday Scripts stamp and coordinating die set.

Hi crafty friends. It’s Lisa Mears here. I’m back with a Halloween shaker card featuring the Spider Web die set and some other fun Halloween sets from Pretty Pink Posh.

For the card background, I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4″ x 5 1/4″. I inked the cardstock with Distress Oxide inks. I used Twisted Citron in the center, followed by Mowed Lawn, and then Rustic Wilderness along the outside edges. Next, I mixed some black acrylic paint with water to thin it out and then flicked some of the paint onto the background. I set this aside to dry.

Next, I stamped the ghosts from the Ghost Friends stamp set and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. The colors I used are as follows:

Ghosts – Light Gray/Blender (body), Sugar Almond Pink (cheeks)
Hat – Deep Violet, Violet, English Lavender 
Hat Stripe – Orange, Blender
Pumpkin – Orange, Blender
Broom – Beige, Gray, Blender
Lollypop – Sugar Almond Pink, Peach Pink
Bow – Violet, English Lavender
Bow – Peach Pink, Blender

I die cut the spider web with double-sided adhesive foam. I placed the spider web foam piece in the center of the card layer making sure to add two ghosts slightly behind the spider web foam piece before fully adhering it to the card.

I also die cut the Spider Web Die with black cardstock and glued it to a piece of acetate. I cut the acetate along the outside edges of the black spider web until all of the excess acetate was removed from the spider web. I set this piece aside and then filled the spider web foam piece with the Spooky Night Clay Confetti and the Monster Mash Clay Confetti. Once the spider web was filled with confetti, I glued the black spider web acetate piece to the top of the spider web foam piece to enclose all of the shaker pieces. I added die cut the spider from the die that comes with the spider web die and colored it with Violet and English Lavender Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I added the spider to the center of the web.

I added the sentiment “boo” from the Boo Script die set and then added this card layer to a piece of black cardstock that measures 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. I added the final layer to an A2 size card base.

Hi crafty friends, Lisa Mears here. For my card today, I used some stepped-up stenciling techniques to add sparkle and shine to a stenciled card. Today I’ll be using the new Layered Coffee Cups stencil.

I used the Layered Coffee Cups Stencil. I inked Layer A using a green ink for the shape of the coffee cups. I inked Layer B with a brown ink to everything except for the coffee cup sleeve.  I added Versamark ink for the coffee cup sleeve and then I sprinkle red embossing powder over the sleeves of the coffee cups and heat set them.

For Layer C, I inked the coffee steam with a light gray ink. Next, I added Versarmark ink to the hearts and bottom of the coffee mugs. I use red embossing powder to cover these areas and then heat set them. Next, I reapplied stencil Layer C, adding Versamark ink to the stars followed by a gold embossing powder and then heat set them. I just love the look of the embossing powder on the stenciled background. It adds such a pretty shine to the stenciled background. I used a rectangle die to cut the coffee cup background and added it to a piece of white cardstock.

Using the snowflake die from the Mitten Shaker die set, I die cut 10 white snowflakes and glued them around the outside edge of a piece of red cardstock. I added the coffee cup layer to the top of the red snowflake paper.

I stamped a sentiment from the Holiday Sentiments stamp set and cut it out with a banner die from the Holiday Envelopes die set. I layered the white banner onto a red banner and offset it.

I added some Ruby Red Pearls to finish off my card. My finished card is an A2 size card which measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.

Hey friends! It’s Mindy with you today to share how I created this Spooky Sky for my little ghost friends.

When I think of spooky, I think of bats and the Spooky Sky stencil is perfect to set my scene.

I start by ink blending Cracked Pistachio distress oxide ink to the center of the card front. Then I went around the edges with Hickory Smoke and Black Soot.

To start creating the scene, I’m using the clouds layer and ink blending on Hickory Smoke. For the bats layer, I’m adding a heavy amount of Black Soot.

Before I add the third layer of the stencil, I’m going to splatter on some copic white using a paint brush. Then I’ll hit that with my heat tool to speed up the drying process.

Now to add my stars, I’m using Gold Glitz Glitter Gel which has a ton of sparkle!

I’m using a sentiment from the Ghost Friends stamp set which I stamped in black ink onto white cardstock. I’m going to add this to a circle I die cut from Black cardstock using the Halloween Circles die. This grounds my sentiment a little bit.

I can then add the sentiment and circle to the center of the card and arrange my ghosts around that. The light ink blending I did previously will help draw your eye into the center of the card.

Hello crafty friends. It’s Lisa Mears here to share an autumn card using the new Autumn Leaf Wreath stamp set.

One thing I love about the fall season is the changing colors of the leaves and so I wanted the leaves in my wreath to have several fall colors in them. It was so easy to get a beautiful blend of fall colors by using only four colors of the Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens (although I’m sure any watercolor pens would work). The pens I used were red, orange, yellow, and mid green. These colors blended seamlessly. If there were any parts that needed a little extra blend, I used the blender marker to do that. The blender marker is simply a marker with a blending solution in it to help move the colors on your paper, however, a paint brush and water would work too. Once my coloring was complete, I die cut the wreath with the coordinating dies. 

Next, I worked on my background. I cut a piece of cardstock to 4” x 5 1/4” and used the Trellis stencil along with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink. I stamped the sentiment “Fall Blessings” and then I added the wreath to the top portion of the stenciled card panel, popping it up with foam. 

I added some twine around the bottom portion of the card panel and tied it in a bow. I added two additional larger leaves from the stamp set and I added an acorn image to the top of the bow. Next, I added some Pistachio Pearls to the wreath and to the card front.

Finally, I added the stenciled panel to a piece of brown cardstock that measures 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” and then added it to an A2 size card base.
