Rainbow Clouds with Stencils + Video

Hi friends! It’s Mindy with you today to share some inspiration using the Layered Clouds stencil. When all else fails or I’m in a slump, I will normally go for a rainbow. Rainbow never fails!

Rainbow Clouds with Stencils + Video

The Layered Clouds stencils is a two piece stencil. Starting with one of the layers, I’m going to ink blend a rainbow of colors using blending brushes. I’m using colors from Simon Says Stamp but anything in your collection will work for this.

The colors I’m using are Bubblegum, Grapefruit, Sunbeam, Sprout, Surf, and Lilac.

After I blended this first layer on, I’m going to place the second layer of the stencil on my background. This will slightly overlap some of my previous clouds.

I’m going to repeat my same steps as before using that rainbow of color.

After I remove the second layer of the stencil, I’m going to lightly go over the whole background with the left over ink on my blending brushes, following the rainbow down the front of the card.

I trimmed the panel down to 4” x 5 ¼” and added to a white card base.

For my sentiment, I’m using the Just A Note Script die. I die cut it once from gold mirror cardstock and twice from white cardstock to layer together for dimension.

Truly a simple card that has a strong, happy vibe. Hope you enjoyed today’s card project!

Birthday Dinosaurs

Hello friends! It’s Leica here on the blog and today I am sharing this super fun birthday card using the Dinosaur Friends stamp set paired with the Dino Dig Stencil

Pretty Pink Posh: Birthday Dinosaurs

To begin, I cut a 5 inch square panel in white cardstock and made the scene using the Dino Dig Stencil. I ink through the stencil with Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Vintage Photo, and Weathered Wood. I love how easy it was to create a background with this stencil.

Pretty Pink Posh: Birthday Dinosaurs

For the sentiment, I stamped the Hope Your Day is Rex-cellent directly onto the card panel in black ink. I also white heat embossed Happy birthday onto a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted above the longer sentiment.

Next, I stamped and colored the images from the Dinosaur Friends stamp set. I then cut them with their coordinating dies and foam mounted them onto the card panel. I cut a larger square panel in teal cardstock and adhered the layers together. Lastly, I adhered the panels onto a 5.5  inch square card base.

Thanks for stopping by on the blog today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to make some cards with these products.

Maximizing Layered Stencils + Video

Hello friends! It’s Channin here and I’m so thrilled to be guesting here at Pretty Pink Posh! Today I’m sharing an adorable card featuring several products from the June release. In the video I demonstrate how to incorporate several colors on a single stencil layer and share tips for adding depth.

Maximizing Layered Stencils + Video

To create this card I first ink blended the background with the Layered Cars Stencils over the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I started with stencil A and ink blended the buses in Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Oxides. When I finished the buses I ink blended the smallest cars in Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers, then the larger sedans in Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover, and then then finally the trucks in Candied Apple and Fired Brick. Once I finished ink blending all the vehicles, I then ink blended the traffic signals in Iced Spruce.

For stencil B, I started by ink blending the windows and tires in Iced Spruce. Then I ink blended the two traffic lights, the top one in candied apple and the bottom in Mowed Lawn. Next, I moved onto stencil C and ink blended the vehicle bumpers and bottom of the traffic signals in Iced Spruce. I then ink blended the middle traffic light in Mustard Seed and then lastly finished by ink blending the wheel centers and the details on the buses in Black Soot.

With the background finished, I then die cut a heart out of vellum using a die from the All My Love Die Set. Next I die cut four hello’s out of white cardstock using the Hello Script Die and then adhered three of the hello’s together. I then stamped and white heat-embossed a sub-sentiment using a sentiment from the Across the Miles stamp set onto black cardstock. After I heat set the sentiment I then trimmed it down to a sentiment strip and then adhered two strips of scrap black cardstock to the backside to add dimension.

Next, I adhered the stacked “hello” and the sub-sentiment to the vellum heart. I then adhered the final “hello” and another strip of black cardstock to the backside of the vellum heart, directly behind the stacked “hello” and the sentiment strip. I then finished the card by adhering the heart to the card front

I hope you enjoyed my card and video. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Birthday Cats & Presents

Hello, Gemma here. Cats love boxes and I think they’d love a pretty pile of birthday presents too. I teamed the Cuddly Cats stamp set with the Build a Gift die set on my card today.

Pretty Pink Posh: Birthday Cats & Presents

I began by die cutting the Build a Gift die set from different colours of card stock. I’ve kept my die set connected so I can easily cut all the pieces out at once. It’s fun to create the different boxes using the elements in this set.

Pretty Pink Posh: Birthday Cats & Presents

Next, I stamped and coloured some of the Cuddly Cats with copic markers, then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

Copic colours

Cats: N0-3; W3-W7; N1-7 Cheeks: R30 R20 R22

Pretty Pink Posh: Birthday Cats & Presents

On a 5.25” square card base, I stamped greetings from the Birthday Scripts stamp set. I then adhered the presents on the card using foam tape, and the cats peeking out with liquid glue to finish.

I hope you enjoyed this card. Thank you for stopping by!

Layered Cars Stencils

Hello crafty friends! It’s Leica here today. I have a fun shaker card using the Layered Cars Stencils from the June 2022 Release. It’s super easy to make and the shaker element always makes me smile. I’m sure anyone would be happy to receive this card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Layered Cars Stencils

To start, I cut a white cardstock in 5.5 inch square. I ink through the Layered Cars Stencils using Distress Oxide Inks in Barn Door, Black Soot, Festive Berries, Fossilized Amber, Iced Spruce, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood. For the windows, I used the Ranger Pigment Ink Pad in Glacier White which turned the colors lighter. I used finger daubers to color in the stencils. They are perfect for small areas.

Pretty Pink Posh: Layered Cars Stencils

Next, I cut a sheet of acetate to 5.5 inch square and stamped the sentiment in 4 different areas using Stazon Jet Black ink.  I then cut a brown frame using square dies and created a well for my shaker. I then foam mounted 3 sides of the frame onto the card panel and added some 4mm Summer Mix Sequins inside before removing the backing of the last side of the frame. Lastly, I adhered the card panel onto a 5.5 inch square card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope that I’ve inspired you to create some cards with the Layered Cars Stencils. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this new design. Happy crafting!

Praying For You Slimline

Hello crafty friends! It’s Leica here today with a slimline card, using the Spring Foliage and Praying for You Script dies. I am loving the new die cuts from the May release and it’s nice to take a break from coloring stamped images sometimes.

Pretty Pink Posh: Praying For You Slimline

To start, I cut the Slimline Floral Cover Die in white cardstock and adhered it onto a piece of white cardstock. I then cut a bigger panel in Kraft cardstock as a border.

Pretty Pink Posh: Praying For You Slimline

Next, I cut the Praying for You Script in real cardstock and adhered them onto the center of the card panel. I then cut some of the flowers from the Spring Foliage dies in various colored cardstocks and adhered them onto either sides of the card panel.

Pretty Pink Posh: Praying For You Slimline

Lastly, I adhered the card panel onto a slimline-size card base. Super easy, right? I hope that I have inspired you to create cards using the Spring Foliage and Praying for you dies. Make sure to tag us on Instagram so we can see your beautiful projects!

Have a great day!

Mini Slimline Cards + Video

Hi friends and welcome back! It’s Mindy with you today to share inspiration using the Layered Roads stencils and Across The Miles stamp set.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

Pretty Pink Posh: Mini Slimline Cards + Video

I love how these layered roads come together. The layering of the stencil makes it super quick and easy to create a background.

Pretty Pink Posh: Mini Slimline Cards + Video

I’m using Twisted Citron & Mowed Lawn distress oxide inks for my hills, Pumice Stone and a hint of Hickory Smoke distress oxide for the pavement and a bit of white paste for the lines of the roads.

Pretty Pink Posh: Mini Slimline Cards + Video

Don’t let coloring the images intimidate you! Do a little emboss resist to quickly add color to the images from the Across the Miles stamp set.

Pretty Pink Posh: Mini Slimline Cards + Video

I have a secret to share …… these two mini slimline cards were a happy accident. I meant to create one card but I trimmed the background down incorrectly. Since I put a lot of effort into the background, I was not going to let it go to waste.

I did sneak in one additional sentiment that came from the Birthday Scripts stamp set.

Pretty Pink Posh: Mini Slimline Cards + Video

I think these sets are super versatile because not only are they great for little kids, but I think adults too!

Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration.

Sunflowers & Bees

Hello crafty friends! It’s Leica here today with a get well soon card that will sure bring a smile to your card recipient. For this square-shaped card, I used a combination of previously-released sets: Bee Friends stamp set and Sunflowers stamp set

Pretty Pink Posh: Sunflowers & Bees

Let’s begin! I first cut a 4 inch square in white cardstock and ran it through a die cut machine with a dot embossing folder for texture. I then adhered it onto a 4.5 inch square light pink card base.

Pretty Pink Posh: Sunflowers & Bees

Next, I stamped, colored, and cut the flowers and bees. I used Copic markers – BG10, E49/47/44, N3/1/0, Y13/11/00, Y38/35/23/21/08, YG99/23/21. I adhered the leaves onto the card panel using liquid glue, foam mounted the sunflowers on top for dimension, and glued the bees on the flowers. The sentiment is from the Simple Sentiments stamp set. I love this set as it covers a lot of occasions for cardmaking. It is my most used stamp set. I white heat embossed the get well soon sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock and adhered on the bottom left side of the card.

Pretty Pink Posh: Sunflowers & Bees

That’s all for this card. Thanks so much for stopping by!
