Animal Theme Week: Day 6

**All items in the critter section are 15% off during theme week**

Hi Crafty Friends! Carly here and I love coloring adorable animals but coloring takes me ages so today I have two card designs to share with you…one with no coloring that you can whip up in ten minutes and one with lots of coloring for when you have all the time!

When I’m short on time, I go for black & white!

Here’s the process…

  • die cut Birthday Wishes Script from a card panel and save the words & letter middles
  • stamp “enjoy your day” from Sentiment Strips: Birthday
  • then stamp the Playful Puppies along the bottom and add a tiny pop of color (the collars)
  • ink blend on front of folded card
  • adhere wishes panel to folded card
  • adhere letter middles (TIP: you can lay the die cut word back in the negative space to use as a guide)

I think the black & white pups look so cute with the colorful sentiment!

Now when I have bunches of time to craft, I love to make what I call a “pile ‘o card”…

Here’s the process for this one…

  • stamp puppy on a card panel/card front and color
  • stamp, die cut and color bunches of little images (TIP: when doing a bunch of small images, I like to die cut first and then make a “jig” to put into my MISTI. I die cut the shapes again from a piece of cardstock, put a little low tack tape on the back and put it in my MISTI. Then I position the stamps in my MISTI to stamp in the die cut spots and I can quickly load the blank die cuts into the jig, stamp, remove and load more)
  • arrange the small images around the puppy in a pile
  • adhere some images flat & some with foam adhesive
  • stamp sentiment from Hedgehog Friends under the “pile”

Thanks so much for stopping by! Join us tomorrow for the last day of Animal Theme Week!
