Eyelet Citrus Card Duo

Hi friends, Christina here. I’m so excited to share these sweet, market-fresh citrus cards with you today. I just love how these mini 4×4 cards turned out, especially the chalkboard-feel of the patterned paper background I made. These came together so quickly that I ended up making two so I could take advantage of all the elements in the super cute Citrus Stamp Set. Let’s get started!

My first step was to stamp the images on white cardstock with black ink and then color them with alcohol ink markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies before adding white gel pen highlights.

Next, I created the backgrounds. I started with black cardstock and die cut the medium Eyelet Square twice, one for each background. I masked the eyelet edges with low-tack tape and then stamped the flower and the citrus slices with white pigment ink all across the panels, leaving space for the sentiments in the bottom right corners. Then, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiments with white embossing powder.

To assemble the cards, I attached the background panels to the centers of white cardstock pieces trimmed to 4 x 4 inches. Then, I added small Scallop Squares that I die cut from kraft cardstock to frame up the backgrounds. Lastly, I attached the colored and die cut citrus images with a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares, overlapping and tucking them here and there for a little dimension. The final detail was to add a few clay confetti pieces from the Bright Rainbow Mix in coordinating colors to each design.

And that’s all there is to this sweet, citrus duo! I hope you’re inspired to make your own mini-fruit cards. By the way, if citrus isn’t your thing, you could easily use any of the fruit stamps in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop. How cute would the cherries be?!?

Happy crafting! See you soon!
