Animal Theme Week: Day 3

**All items in the critter section are 15% off during theme week**

Hello crafty friends, it’s June. Thanks for joining me for Animal Theme Week here at Pretty Pink Posh. I hope you enjoyed the projects Marine and Debby shared the past 2 days, and I hope you’ll stay with us this week to take a look at all of the projects the Design Team has prepared!

Today I’ll be showcasing the Monkey Friends stamp set. It’s gonna be quite a simple card, but that’s actually my favorite thing about critter stamp sets. They allow you to create cards without too much thought. Just a simple scene with a colorful background can be so pretty, so that’s basically what I did!

I stamped a few of the monkeys and bananas along with the branches from the Spring Birdhouses stamp set. I thought the scene would look good against a green jungle-ish background, so I blended an ombre using Shabby Shutters and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide.

I couldn’t find a stencil that added enough detail without distracting from the scene, so I took the Layered Butterfly Floral Stencils and used a small brush to only ink the flower parts. I thought it looked just a tad too empty without the butterflies, so I also splattered some thinned out white acrylic paint and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide to fill up the empty spaces. I cut out my panel with the largest of the Stitched Torn Rectangle Dies.

My scene left a gap that was perfect for a sentiment, so I embossed the ‘Party’ from the Birthday Scripts stamp set onto some black cardstock and finished the sentiment to say ‘let’s party’, which I thought was very fitting for the vibes these monkeys give off!

And that’s it! I hope you’ll join us tomorrow and up until the 21st for more inspiration. If you already feel inspired to start creating, you can visit the Pretty Pink Posh shop and get 15% off all products in the Animal Section this week only. See you again soon!
