Animal Theme Week: Day 4

Hi friends! Christina here, sharing some inspiration for Animal Theme week, featuring the super cute Bee Friends stamp set and coordinating dies. I created mini-scenes with these cuties and then layered them on an Eyelet Rectangle background for a sweet, whimsical design. Let’s get started!

First, I stamped the small flower from the Baby Animals stamp set multiple times and the images from the Bee Friends stamp set in black ink on white cardstock. Then I colored the images with alcohol ink markers before die cutting them with the coordinating dies. After die cutting, I added a little sparkle to the bee wings with a Wink of Stella glitter brush marker, and for their eyes, a glossy black gel pen.

Next, I die cut the largest Eyelet Rectangle from white cardstock and trimmed a piece of yellow cardstock to fit the center portion of the background panel. For added interest, I layered this on not only a white cardstock panel but also a striped patterned paper panel.

Then, after die cutting the smallest Eyelet Rectangle and two small Eyelet Squares from white cardstock, I masked the edges with low-tack tape and very lightly applied whatever ink was leftover from my last project on my blue blending brush to create a soft blue sky. I layered these on the yellow background panel and added the colored die cut images to create mini bee scenes. I used an acrylic block to stamp the dotted heart detail to one of the mini scenes.

Lastly, I stamped a small Hello greeting from the Baby Animals stamp set and die cut it using a partial die cutting technique with one of the scalloped sentiment strips from the Sentiment Strips Dies Set before attaching it to my card front. The finishing detail was to embellish my design with little White Clay Hearts. 

That completes my Animal Theme card inspiration featuring the Bee Friends set and coordinating dies.
