Birthday Monsters

Hello, sweet friends!

Oh goodness, I am blown away by the response of the Cutting Edge Blog Hop this weekend. As I’m writing this, we are at 167 entries, but I’m hoping we can pass the 200 mark! It has been SO fun to browse your entries, see all the love and comments being left and I’m hoping that many have found new blogs to follow, too!

In the crazy prep of the blog hop, I was stressing myself out on creating a “perfect die cut” card and then I realized the post was way too long for me to include one. Silly me! Anyhow, now I have some cards to share in the future.

partymonsters1a

Today’s card features a recent addition to the PPP lines of dies- the Stitched Film Strip. I absolutely love this die and it makes me so happy to see and read that you all are enjoying it as well. I just shipped a TON of these dies out in orders, so I’m looking forward to seeing even more of your cards in the future.

Aren’t these monsters adorable? They are actually one stamp that I cut apart! It’s called the Happy Monster Party and it’s by DeNami Design. I used them on THIS CARD and video and I still can’t put it down.

I have several posts planned for this week, so you’ll be hearing from me again soon. Thank you for spending some time with me today!

Peek-A-Boo Robots

Countdown to the Cutting Edge Blog Hop: only 2 more days!

Wow, where has this month gone? It seems like it was just yesterday where I was announcing the blog hop and now, it’s just a couple days away. I hope that you’ve been counting down the days…. there’s so many great sponsors and the prizes are fantastic!

Today I wanted to share a sweet and simple card with you showcasing two die cuts- the Stitched Film Strip and the Mama Elephant Basics Set (which is a must have in my book). Some may be intimidated by the theme of the blog hop, but honestly, you can use one die cut or a dozen on your project. Whether you want to use a die cut that you just purchased, or some of your well loved ones, this is the time to break them out!

Pretty Pink Posh I Robots

I love my pinks and purples, but every now and then, I like to pull out just the blues and greens. Don’t they look adorable with the Friendly Robot and Teeny Star Background from DeNami Design?  Such a fun combo!

Pretty Pink Posh I Robots

In closing, I want to leave you with a few sneak peeks of the projects that the design team and special guests have created. Let me tell you, if you enjoy dies, you are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE this blog hop. The inspiration is already jaw dropping and I haven’t even seen YOUR creations yet!

If you haven’t taken a peek at the info page for the Cutting Edge Blog Hop, CLICK HERE.

I’ve been busy picking and packing some wholesale orders, so be on the lookout for PPP sequins and dies in your favorite retailers soon. I’m so grateful for all of the support and your patience with this one woman show. The past few weeks I’ve been dealing with health issues again, so things are running a little slower than usual. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back into the full swing of things soon!

That’s a wrap for today’s post. Big hugs to you all!

Glittery Limes + VIDEO

The countdown has begun: only 9 days until the Cutting Edge Blog Hop

Today I’m sharing some inspiration using several dies, along with stamps from one of the blog hop sponsors- Reverse Confetti! A few of my design team gals are on the RC team and after seeing all sorts of yummy samples using the Fresh ‘N Fruity set, I just had to get this set. I’m in love with this polka dot fruit!

If you know my style, you know that I typically like to add splashes of color to my cards, but I went full on green for this one. I DID go ahead and dress it up with some glitter, sequins and lots of scallops.

Pretty Pink Posh I Glittery Limes

I love myself a good punny sentiment, but for this particular card, I decided to piece together some Mama Elephant sentiment. I adore the “love you” font and I thought it made this card a little more girlie.

Pretty Pink Posh I Glittery Limes

It’s been about a month since I last did a start-to-finish card video, so I thought I would show you how to make this card. It’s not super hard, but I do share some little tricks and tips in this video. I hope you enjoy it!

I always love sharing a good coupon with you all and today Jen from Reverse Confetti has one. It’s her birthday and she’s offering up a 20% coupon TODAY ONLY. Now that, my friends, is a huge discount that you’ll want to take advantage of!

August 2014 Release

Hello, sweet readers!

It’s a BUSY here today as I’m announcing the new products for August, along with the much anticipated announcement of the next BIG PPP blog hop (that’s coming a little later).

First things first, I’m releasing five new products today and I must say, I’m very excited about each of them. After the great response from the first set of dies I released, I went to the drawing board and got a second batch into production. These dies work SO well with the first dies I released, as you’ll see in my cards and video.

augustrelease1a

This first card showcases the great tag shape from the Stitched Duo 1, but I paired it up with one of the NEW dies- the circles from Stitched Duo 2!

It’s no secret that I love cute stamps and these friends by Mama Elephant are ADORABLE. You can do so many things with them, but I’ll admit that I love using them with my dies. They each have so much character on their own- you don’t even need to be a pro at coloring them!

*Purchase the In My Heart set at Simon Says Stamp OR Ellen Hutson.

augustrelease1b

This next card features the new Stitched Film Strip, which is a die that I cannot stop using. It’s hands down one of my all-time favorites (can I say that if I design it?!) and I think you all are going to love it as well. Just like my other die, this is great for creating mini scenes on cards!

For some reason, I think this little friends look so cute with the mini flower sequins that I have in the Summer Embellishment Kit. It add to the “cute” factor of the card and honestly, it’s just hard to resist adding sequins to all my cards.

augustrelease2a

This card is only the beginning of possibilities with the Stitched Film Strip. Coming next week, I’ll have a product release blog hop with the design team and special guests- you’ll definitely want to get your dies before they sell out! These designers are absolutely AMAZING!

Okay, now on to the video showing you the new products, along with sneaks of cards I’ll be sharing soon. Be sure to watch the video- there’s a glimpse at an EXCLUSIVE product for Ellen Hutson!

Sea Friends + A Challenge

Have you had a day where you feel incredibly blessed? Lately I’ve been having some battles within myself (the stress of dealing with health issues, worrying about finances, etc…) and know that the stress doesn’t do anything but harm me physically, mentally and emotionally. Despite KNOWING these things, I still let it get to me sometimes. I was having one of those days and then I bumped into a friend at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday. We didn’t chat for long, but it was a familiar face when I needed one. Then later on that day, I received a check in the mail. Granted, it was a small one, but it was the unexpected blessing I needed to know that God still has me in the palm of His hand.

With the craziness of life and the ups and downs I still deal with physically (click HERE for previous updates), I don’t often take the time to sit down and write friends cards. I decided to spend a few hours writing notes to friends and vow to actually MAIL them this week. Today’s card is going to a friend that has become so very dear to my heart. She unexpectedly blessed me with flowers last year (story HERE) and she also happens to be the friend I bumped into this weekend.

Pretty Pink Posh I Sea Friends

Friends are a funny thing. Some friends are with you for just a season, some come in and out of your life for other seasons, and then there are lifelong friends. I have been blessed with a dear lifelong friend, but so many friends have come in and out of my life. Do I sometimes get sad that many of them seem to have gone away since the accident? Absolutely. However, I’m grateful for my lifelong friend and the friends I have in THIS season.

Pretty Pink Posh I Sea Friends

challengeIt’s been a while since I put a challenge out to you, my readers, but I feel like doing one today. Send at least TWO cards to friends, family members or someone who needs a little encouraging today. It doesn’t have to be a super long note, but let’s brighten up some lives this week.

That’s all for me today, sweet friends. I hope your week gets off to a great start!

*I wrote a previous post about “True Friends” that you may enjoy, too. Be warned: it’s a long one.

Beach Vacation Blog Hop

beachvacationGood morning, sweet friends!

Today I am participating in a super fun blog hop… it’s the StampNation Summer Beach Vacation event! I personally don’t get to take real vacations often, so I welcome any excuse to break out my beach stamps and imagine I’m taking a vacation. That’s right, it’s time to break out the sunglasses, grab a cool drink and drift off to a desert island (er, blog stops) for lots of paper craft inspiration.

I don’t know about you, but when I think of Summer, I think of BRIGHT colors and my card definitely has bright colors featured. I went all out for this card- I created a scene packed full of Summer stamps (all by DeNami Design).

Pretty Pink Posh I Beach Vacation

It’s no secret that when I participate in a blog hop, I always have the hardest time choosing what stamps to use. Basically, I pull out dozens of stamps that fit into the theme, play around with different options and then start putting my card together. It makes for a messy desk, but I’ve found this to be a helpful way for me to kick start inspiration. One of these days, I’ll be brave enough to post a picture of what my desk looks like AFTER I finish a blog hop card.

Pretty Pink Posh I Beach Vacation

It’s time to hop along now.  Make sure you leave comments at each of the blogs listed below to be eligible to win…prizes

Watercolors & Layering Sequins

Wow, you all know how to make a birthday girl feel special. Thank you for the outpouring of comments and love! The last few days I’ve received some birthday cards and presents in the mail- thank you to those who took the time to send me something. YOU all are why I do what I do and why I keep blogging. Here’s to hoping that this upcoming year is a great one!

Today I have a card featuring watercolors and layering sequins. If you watched the latest product video (HERE), you can see that the new 8mm Sparkling Clear sequins layer SO well with the 4mm sequins. This is a great way to add a little more color and bling all at once. It’s a tad bit hard to see in the photo, but I also add some “splatters” of watercolors to add even more color and fill in the white space. Pretty Pink Posh I Watercolor Balloon Animal

I’m all about fun and unique sentiments and I love the ones in the Mama Elephant Party Kit set. These are not only unique, but so versatile! You can use them by themselves, or you can use them with the balloons. Truth be told, I haven’t use the balloons stamps yet, but I couldn’t resist using this fun sentiment!

Pretty Pink Posh I Watercolor Balloon Animal

I wanted to let you all know about a coupon I just spotted at Ellen Hutson. She has a 20% off coupon on all embellishment, which includes all the Pretty Pink Posh sequins and embellies! That’s a mighty hefty discount and Ellen has a HUGE selection of my sequins, so be sure to take advantage of this great savings!

Thanks for stopping in and spending some time with me today. I hope you enjoyed the card and take advantage of the coupon from Ellen Hutson! If you buy anything with the coupon, let me know what you pick up! :)

Bright Butterfly + VIDEO

Hello and good morning!

Oh goodness, has it really been a whole week since I last posted? I fully intended to post something earlier this week, but getting orders out took precedence and then I had a mishap while filming this video. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you know what I’m talking about. *wink*

Lately I have been all about the BRIGHT colors; in fact, I’m wearing a neon shirt right now. For some reason, I associate the sunshine and warm weather with bright colors and it’s evident in many of my cards. Funny how that happens…

butterfly2a

Today’s card only features two stamps, but I also added in a new (to me) product- watercolors! I finally opened up my new pack and they appeared in an artsy form on this card. It’s a little outside my “normal” style, but it’s fun to change it up a bit every now and then!

In the picture below, you can see the fun addition the watercolor splashes made to the white space on the card. Granted, this won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it was fun to give it a whirl.

butterfly2b

In my most recent video, I showed today’s card and got quite a few requests to do a video on it. Despite it being a mini sauna up here in the studio right now (who knew that Seattle could get up to 90* in July?!), I was able to squeeze in some time to film this video. After I filmed, I realized a few scenes were off camera and the light on my camcorder was on, but hopefully you can still enjoy the video. :)

Some of you may have seen the sneak peek I posted on my social media sites…. on Sunday it’s my birthday and I’m going to be hosting a BIG giveaway. Okay, truth be told, I’m still deciding on the quantity of giveaways, but let me just say they will be BIG. It’s been a while since I hosted a bigger giveaway and I thought my birthday was the perfect day to share a gift with YOU. Stay tuned!

That’s going to be all for today’s post. I hope you have a great day and I’ll talk with you very soon.
