Happy Halloween

Hey there!
Just wanted to pop in really quick and wish you all a safe Happy Halloween! I’ve already seen some pictures on blogs- love seeing the kiddos dressed up in cute outfits! (No thank you on the scary ones!)
I have one last Halloween card to share….It features the Small Jack O’ Lantern stamp, along with some masking. I just love masking these little guys.
I was hoping to have some blog candy tonight, but it’ll have to wait just a little bit longer. I still need to figure out what I want to give away. Let me know if there’s a tool or gift certificate you’d like to win. :)
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some treats (er…blog comments)! I’ll see you tomorrow with my sneak peek for the Practicing Creativity release!

OTWC Challenge #31

Hi there!
I’m so excited that I was able to find time to do this week’s OTWC Challenge #31. The lovely and talented Kim does such a great job with her challenges. I always love seeing her inspiration boards- they are so pretty!
This week, the colors were orange, black and white. I thought it was pretty obvious that Halloween stamps were needed for this card, and I knew the perfect one! I think the Small Jack O’Lantern is so darling; he looks so happy! I recently picked up a Martha Stewart scoring board, so I added a little touch of scoring on this card. Since I don’t have any stamps that say Happy Halloween, I decided to just write my own. (Don’t look too closely!)
That’s it for me tonight. I hope that you’ll be able to join in on this fun challenge. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some love!
Paper: White, Black, Orange Zest (PTI)
Ink: Onyx Black, Orange Zest (PTI)

Airplane Congratulations

Hello there!
Today I have a card to share that I made months ago….seriously…. I still haven’t decided if I like it or not; hence it not being posted. Since I haven’t gotten around to editing photos for current cards, you may have to bare with me and see some older, unseen cards. Hope you don’t mind!
I think my favorite part about this card is the color combo and the wrinkled ribbon! For those looking for a good source, I’ve been getting mine from PrairieBirdBoutique on Etsy. This seller is such a sweetie and her products are such great quality. I actually did a whole blog post about the ribbon, cause I really do love it that much. If you need a source for some of this yummy ribbon, you MUST buy from this seller. (No, I don’t get paid to say that….I really just love the ribbon.) :)
Oh, before I close, I just want to mention if you like this airplane stamp set, I have it for sale. (See Items For Sale at the top of blog) I recently cleaned out some of “the stash” and finally put them up. I’ll be cleaning some more, so be sure to keep checking back.
That’s it for me today. Let me just say that this week was super long and I am SOOOOOO glad that my work week is almost over!

Poinsettia Patterns

Hi, sweet friends!
Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. I’m feeling a tad bit better, but still going through some health issues. This has happened before, so hopefully I can get this resolved asap. Feeling icky is no fun. :(
Today I have some simple, yet fun, holiday cards to share with you. I recently purchased the Poinsettia Patterns from WPlus9 and couldn’t help but ink them up quickly. I love how clean these designs stamp, and how fun are these patterns?! So many great possibilities….
How fun is this coral color? I just got a new ink pad and just love the color! It’s like a berry color with a hint of red in it. Perfect for holiday cards!
I stamped the exact same stamps, just in a different color on this card. I haven’t decided which one I like better….which do you like?
I’ve been working on some fun things- can’t wait to share them with you all! Let’s just say I’m in the Thanksgiving mood…..

Caring Hearts Blog Hop

Good morning!
Today I am so excited, and honored, to be participating in the Caring Hearts Blog Hop. If you have started from the beginning, you should be visiting from Mandy’s blog
If you are new to blogs, or have been away, there is a new card drive that Vera is putting together. Her goal is to get LOTS and LOTS of holiday cards (Thanksgiving, Christmas) and send them to various nursing homes/ assisted living centers. All too often, elderly people get forgotten over the holidays- this is such a great way to reach out to those people. Click here for details of the card drive; YOU can make a huge difference!
I wanted to create a Christmas card for the blog hop- I seriously love making Christmas cards! I pulled out the new and adorable Christmas Tweety Birds from DeNami and went to town. In the picture below, you can see more of the details. :)
I added touches of Citrone glitter with a Quickie Glue Pen on the birds. *happy sigh* I just can’t get enough! Almost all of my cards have ribbon, and I just had to pull out the Red Satin Edge grosgrain for this card. I’m amazed at how easily I can create nice bows with this thick ribbon. At the bottom of the card, I added a row of various Olive Rhinestones; I seriously love this finishing touch. I’ve used it on some other cards (which you may see in the future).
Well, enough of my rambling. It’s time to get to the next stop on the hop: Ren-Yi! Happy hopping, and be sure to visit Vera’s blog for details of the card drive!

Stamps: Christmas Tweety Birds, Polka Dot Basics, Background Basics: Text Style II (PTI)

Ink: Vintage Sepia, Ripe Avocado, Aqua Mist, Tea Dye Duo (PTI)

Miss You + A Challenge

Hello there!

I had originally planned on taking a break from blogging today. However, I still have a slew of my “oldies” that I haven’t posted yet. Girls, if you think I post often, you will not believe the amount of cards that I don’t post. Some of them are for publication calls, but usually it’s because I don’t even up loving it, or my style has changed since I made it. This is one of those cards….(You get to see a reject!)
My goal in making this card was to combine some yummy Lawn Fawn and DeNami goodness together. I used one of the Playful Puppies and combined it with Bannerific, Critters In the ‘Burbs and Harold’s ABC’s. After I made the card, I decided there were just a bit too many polka dots. I still do like the stamp choices and design, I just wouldn’t stamp the letters on polka dot paper next time. :)

So….I have a challenge for you all now. I want YOU to post one of your rejects, I know you have some! Maybe you accidentally smudged the card, or the colors didn’t turn out the way you wanted. Either way, I’m sure you card is beautiful! Leave me the link of your card and I’ll take a peek. Let’s see how many of you are brave. *wink*
Thanks for spending a bit of time with me today. I will see you tomorrow for my Caring Hearts Blog Hop post.

Glitter Pears

Hello dearies!
Today I have some yummy cards to share with you. I am totally in love with the Small Pear and Apples & Pears stamp set. When we (the gals at the DeNami Design office) were planning the release, I was beyond ecstatic that we were releasing some yummy fruit stamps. As you know, I love the apple stamps, but I equally love the pear ones.
I simply adore these color together; it’s so fresh and well, yummy! I used my favorite Tim Holtz die and added some faux stitching. Alas, I still can’t do real stitching on cards; I need someone to come teach me. Anyhow, back to the card…. I created a tag with my Cricut and made a pile of pears. After coloring them, I added some Citrone glitter (LOVE) and Strawberry Freeze glitter
Here’s a closer peek at the glittery goodness. Oh wow, I just noticed that you can actually see the paper piercing that I did- one great thing about pictures! :)
This next card just might be one of my favorites this month. I love the simplicity and the colors. *swoon* I tried my hand at creating my own pen border; obviously that didn’t go too well. I think I’ll need to try it again because I love the look.
I hope you all enjoyed today’s post. I truly had a lot of fun making them. If you haven’t visited the DeNami Design website, be sure to do so. We are constantly adding new card ideas (currently have over 300) and of course, we have hundreds of items in the store. If you ever write to the office email, I’ll most likely be the one helping you. Got a question? I’d be happy to answer it for you!
Thanks for stopping by, sweet friends. Have a great Thursday!

Glittery Cornstalks

Good morning!
It’s that time again- time for a new DeNami Product Spotlight! This time around, I’m so excited that we are showcasing the yummy Cornstalks. This is one of my favorite Autumn stamps- I just love coloring all the corn and of course, adding glitter! With every corn field, there has to be a Scarecrow. Seriously, could there be a cuter one? ;)
Now for the deets of the card….. I was so inspired by this card that Amy created. Love how she made super tall cornstalks! I decided I would do something similar for this card. You all know how much I love to mask; this was a fun one to do. I added touches of Citrone glitter on the corn, then a tad bit of Crystal Lacquer for the Scarecrow’s overalls and hat.
Don’t forget to visit the DeNami DT blogs- there are so many creative ideas using this stamp!
I hope that you were inspired to create some Thanksgiving cards. Be sure to visit the DeNami Design blog for even more ideas, along with links to the Facebook page and details of the upcoming blog hop!

Enjoy the Holidays

Happiest of Mondays to you!
Today I have a card that is full of Christmas goodness. Holly + gingerbread men= time for Christmas! I pulled out my recently purchased Bountiful Baskets Additions for this fun card. I had so much fun coloring these little guys in; however, it did make me want some gingerbread cookies afterward!
Have any of you started your Christmas cards? Since my family usually sends out a family card, I tend to not send out too many. However, I do like to give some to my closest friends. Since my style is all over the place and I get bored easily, I usually don’t create just one style of card. I *try* to make them as personal as possible, so I’ll use their favorite colors or create something that I think they’ll like. Yes, it’s more work, but it makes it that much more special. ;)
Tomorrow I’ll be back with the DeNami Featured Product post. Let’s just say, if you’re in need of some Autumn inspiration, you’re definitely going to find it on the DeNami DT blogs!
Hope your week is off to a great start. Thanks for stopping by!

Practicing Creativity Fun

Hello there!
Today I have a very fun card to share featuring Practicing Creativity. I was able to use three sets on this card- Chatterbox, My Beach House and Retro Christmas Backgrounds. On the recent release, Dana created this bag and did a striped background that I just loved. I just had to try it out for myself! It did take quite a while, since I used three inks, but I just love the end result. I’ll have to do this again….
You all have been so sweet about giving me comments about my pictures. I know I am far from a professional- thank goodness for Photoshop! If any of you have tips, I would LOVE to hear them.
So, what do you all think of this color combo? I know it’s far from the “norm” for me. Quite often I feel like my cards look the same, so I try to switch it up. :) Oh, did you notice that I used the Aqua grosgrain w/ satin edge? This was the very first time I used it and I LOOOOVE it. Definitely going to be using this again!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. Have a fabulous day!
