Day 2: Blog Hop- June Release Now Available

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE

Hi, friends! It’s Lauren and I have a new post and video to share today. I just love the new fruit themed products from the brand new release and when I saw the Mini Scallop Card Dies, an idea popped into my head to make little cards that I think would be so cute as a gift.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

I stamped and colored images from the Citrus stamp set, Fresh Berries stamp set and Watermelon stamp set. They have been stamped in alcohol marker friendly black ink and colored in with Ohuhu Art Honolulu Markers. I have a coloring guide if you would like to see what I used to color in each of the fruits and different leaf combinations!

I also used their coordinating dies (Citrus, Fresh Berries, Watermelon) to cut out the images and added highlights with a white gel pen.

Using the colors I used for my fruit as inspiration, I picked colored cardstock and cut the Mini Scallop Card Dies base in the three colors for each card. There is a stitched rectangle die in this set as well so I cut white cardstock for the inside of my cards for a sentiment. I will also use this stitched rectangle to cut the background for the front of the card, but that will come later.

In my video I begin with creating my stenciled backgrounds to coordinate with the stamped images. I started with Layered Citrus Stencils with (A) Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide, (B) Mustard Seed Distress Oxide, and (C) Shooting Star Lunar Paste. The next background was created with Layered Watermelon Stencils with (A) Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide, (B) Twisted Citron Distress Oxide, Lucky Clover Distress Oxide, and (C) Black Tie Stencil Butter. Finally, the last background was Layered Strawberries Stencils with (A) Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide, Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide, (B) Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide, (D) Lucky Clover Distress Oxide, (C) Chocolate Stencil Butter, and Shooting Star Lunar Paste.

When the backgrounds were dry, I brought back the stitched square from the Mini Scallop Card Dies and die cut as many backgrounds I could fit so I can save these for future projects!

After assembling the Mini Scallop Cards together, I added in some extra shine with new shimmer mixes in Lemon, Lime, and Strawberry. I hope these mini cards bring you inspiration today!

Hi Pretty Pink Posh friends! Raquel here and I’m so happy to be sharing with you how I made this sweet Mini Scalloped Slimline card using the new Mini Scallop Card die and the Citrus Stamp Set from the brand new release.

I started this project by coloring these super cute images from the Citrus stamp set and the berries from the Fresh Berries stamp set

I used Y00. Y02, Y06, Y11, Y13 and YG01 for the Lemons and G17, YG09, and YG00 for the leaves. I colored the small flowers with R00 and R20.

I wanted to add some extra color apart from yellow so I used the berries with RV66, RV09, RV17 and RV52 copic markers.

Once I had all my images colored, I decided to use the Mini Scallop Card die to create a base to my design.

All I had to do was partial die cutting, so I first run it through my die cutting machine making sure the top plate was only covering half of the die. Once it was cut, I put the die on top of the die cut piece again though this time the top plate covered the other half of the die.

To add some extra interest, I applied some splatters using white pearl watercolors.

For my sentiment I used the new Large Smile Shadow die using a bright summery teal cardstock and even added some extra foliage using the Stitched Leafy Borders die set coloring them with YG03 and YG 17 Copic markers.

I hope you like this non-conventional use of the Mini Scallop card die. I always have so much fun trying to come up with new ideas for using the products we have in different ways.

Hello, it’s Barbara here and I’m happy to be sharing a card using the new release from Pretty Pink Posh. If you’re new to PPP, they released a Winter Mug die set and since then, have come out with several additions to go along with it. The newest one, Get Well Mug Additions is the one I’m using today.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is IMG_0546_jpg.jpg

I created this card using an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I cut a panel of yellow cardstock stamped with a gingham background stamp in a darker yellow ink. The mug is from the Winter Mug die set. I cut it out of gray cardstock and used some distress ink to add some dimension. All the other die elements are from the Get Well Mug Additions die set that I cut from white cardstock.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is IMG_0547.jpg

These elements were colored with copic markers. I used a white gel pen to add highlights. I glued the die cuts together and then popped everything up using some 3d foam adhesive for extra dimension.

I hope you enjoyed this card. If you want to see more of my guest designer projects, visit me on Instagram!

Day 2: May Blog Hop

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE

Hello crafty friends! Davina here sharing brand new products from the May release. This beautifully curated release is full of items for all of our spring/summer events, like Graduations and Fathers Day, pretty bird themed sets, and more.

I especially loved these detailed Decorative Birdhouses Die Set. All of the pretty stitched details and various door options made it so fun to play with. I cut each house from Bristol Smooth Cardstock two times. With one of each design, I inkblended the house with Distress Oxide Ink, then secured the scallop edge and trim with washi tape from behind. I also added a little bit of marker detail to each house.

Next, I adhered the white trim from my second die cut houses, layered on top, and used a darker marker to color the small strips. Then, I cut and added the doors to each little house.

I was so excited that the birds from A Little Birdie stamp set fit so perfectly with these houses. I stamped and colored three birds to add to my houses, and layered them onto a slimline cardbase that I gently inked.  I stamped the nice long branch from the Spring Birdhouses stamp set onto the cardbase as well. I intentionally left it as an outline so it wouldn’t distract from my little row of cute houses. I finished this off  with a heat embossed sentiment and a sprinkling of colored confetti from the new Rainbow Shimmer Confetti Mix

Make sure you “Hop along” all three days to see the incredible DT samples with this wonderful release,

Hey there, crafty friends! Leica here. I’m so excited to show you my latest creation featuring the new Decorative Birdhouses Die, Stitched Birds Die, and the previously-released Spring Foliage Die from Pretty Pink Posh. This circle-shaped card turned out so cute, and I can’t wait to share all the details with you!

To start off, I cut a 4.5 inch circle from some white cardstock and used the Layered Clouds Stencils with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to create a fluffy cloud background. Then, I matted the panel onto a 5 inch circle that I had ink blended with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink. The colors complemented each other so nicely!

Using the Decorative Birdhouses Die, Stitched Birds Die, and Spring Foliage Die, I cut out all kinds of shapes from various colored cardstock. It was so easy and fun to mix and match all the different elements. I even used the Stitched Strip Dies to make a little stand for the birdhouse.

To add some extra texture, I splattered some white ink onto the card. It turned out so cute and added a fun, playful touch.

I finished it off with a sentiment that I heat embossed in white on a strip of black cardstock. It really popped against the colorful cardstock shapes.

To create a sturdy base for the card, I cut another 5 inch circle from white cardstock and scored it at the .75 inch mark. I folded it up and glued the flap onto the card panel. It worked like a charm!

Day 3: March Blog Hop

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE //  If you missed Day 2 CLICK HERE

Hello friends! It’s Leica here today with a Mother’s Day card using the new Leafy Spring Wreath Stamp Set and the Mom/Mother Hot Foil.

For my card, I started by ink blending through the Grid Stencil on a 4.5” square white cardstock with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink. I sprayed the panel with water that has a bit of white ink. Once dry, I stamped the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment directly on the card panel.

Next, I stamped, colored and cut the wreath, flowers, and ribbon from the Leafy Spring Wreath Stamp Set. I used Copic markers: R22/21/20/00, YG23/21. I foam mounted the wreath onto the card panel for dimension and also foam mounted the Mom/Mother Hot Foil in the center of the wreath. By the way, I used the Pewter foil and cut the “Mom” with the Mom/Mother Shadow.

I glued some Marshmallow Pearls here and there for added interest. And lastly, I glued the card panel onto a side-fold 4.5” square white card base.

Have you tried hot foiling yet? I’m new to hot foiling and never thought I would enjoy it. I make sure to foil extras while the machine is hot and I save the sentiments for future cards. That way I don’t have to pull out the machine every time I need a sentiment. I hope you’ll give it a try (if you haven’t joined the hot foil craze already).

PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. We are giving away 6 $25 gift certificates to comments left before March 14, 2023 at 11:59 PM PST (2 winners each day) . I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners.

Day 2: March Blog Hop

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE

Hi, friends! It’s Lauren and I am so excited to share this card using the new Spring release. The Umbrella Shaker Dies and Layered Umbrellas Stencils are just so perfect together! I love that the window die for the Umbrella is separate so you can easily make a shaker, but also have an umbrella die for other types of projects.

I like to start with stenciling to ensure my background has plenty of time to dry while I’m creating the rest of the card. Using Layered Umbrellas, I stenciled the solid umbrella layer with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide, the polka dot and stripe details with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide, the shaft and top with Lost Shadow Distress Oxides and finally the raindrops with Clear Skies Lunar Paste.

While the Lunar Paste was drying, I stamped flowers and butterflies from the Love Stamp Set and Mom Stamp Set in a light grey, alcohol marker friendly ink. I used my Ohuhu Art Markers for a no-line coloring look. I die cut them all out using the Love and Mom Coordinating die sets.

The sentiment was hot foiled with the Hot Foil Large Hugs and silver foil onto some light purple cardstock. I used the Large Hugs Shadow Die to cut my sentiment. I also did my die cutting from the Umbrella Shaker Dies: the umbrella out of the same light purple cardstock as well as acetate, the umbrella with windows out of purple cardstock, the shaft of the umbrella out of grey cardstock and the handle out of kraft cardstock.

I assembled the shaker with all of the Umbrella Shaker die cut pieces and filled it with the new Flower Garden Mix. The stenciled background is trimmed down to 4×5-¼” and layered onto an A2 piece of purple cardstock attached to a card base. After I laid out my card with the shaker, sentiment and stamped images how I think it would look best, I adhered everything down with wet glue with a few of the flowers popped up with foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this shaker and it gives you some inspiration for an “April showers” kind of card!

Day 4: 9th Birthday Celebration Hop

Day 4: 9th Birthday Celebration Hop

Day 1 CLICK HERE //  Day 2 CLICK HERE // Day 3 CLICK HERE

Hello and welcome! It’s Leica here on the blog and today I’m sharing the cutest little bags using the new Gift Card Bag Dies. These are fun and easy to make, perfect for any occasion.

Day 4: 9th Birthday Celebration Hop

To make the bag, you will need to cut 2 pieces in the cardstock of your choice. Take 1 piece and fold along the perforated line. Take the other piece and cut along the perforated line. Add glue on the tabs of one bag and adhere the other piece.

Day 4: 9th Birthday Celebration Hop

For my projects, I used 3 different shades of pink cardstock (from the big box craft store). I then cut 3 of the scallop circles in glitter silver cardstock and 3 of the circles in white cardstock from the Valentine Circle Die. Next, I ink blended scraps of paper with Distress Oxide Inks and used them for the party hats die, which is from the Birthday Mug Addition Dies. I then cut 3 small tags, stamped birthday sentiments, and tied the tags onto the bag with twine.

Day 4: 9th Birthday Celebration Hop

Super easy, right?! You can even use patterned paper or you can ink through any of the PPP stencils with the colors of your choice. I’ll definitely be making more of these as I like giving gift cards as gifts to my family and friends.
