Oh goodness, this past week has been CRAZY in terms of emails, blog questions and orders. I’m swimming along and trying to get everything done, but if you’ve emailed or are awaiting a reply, please be patient with me. I honestly haven’t been this busy since the opening of the shop and didn’t anticipate this wonderful blessing of excitement from the dies. Rest assured, I already have LOTS of dies on order and as soon as I get word on when they will arrive, I’ll let you all know.
Despite being busy, I just couldn’t resist taking part in the DeNami blog hop this month. With the theme being Bright Blossoms and it also being the last blog hop before the Fall, I had to join in the fun. Flowers and I go together like cake and ice cream! If you started the hop from the beginning, you should have come from Andrea’s blog.
I actually originally created another card- I even stayed up until 1am stamping it- but the end result was horrible. In fact, I didn’t even finish it. After sleeping on it, I decided to trek back into the studio and this was the end result. Since it’s not a super elaborate card, I wanted to include a video to “dress up” this post a bit more. Hope it works!
Well, I’m the last one in the blog hop…. if you would like to start from the beginning and see lots of bright and happy cards, head on over to the DeNami blog and check out the stops and leave comments for a chance at winning prizes!
Today is a day I’ve been counting down the day to…. I’m having a blog hop with the PPP DT and some of my talented crafty friends. As you probably know by now, I have released my very first Pretty Pink Posh Dies and I wanted to inspire you all with LOTS of fabulous inspiration with the dies. You all up for it? I hope so, because I have friends from all over the world sharing their projects using MY dies!
For those new to my blog, I started a small company back in December that carries sequins, twine and other crafting embellishments. I’m a huge fan of dies and now that I have some orders and experience under my belt, I decided it was time to release some dies that I’ve designed. I’m proud to say that these are made in the United States, are 100% steel and work perfect for paper crafts of all sorts.
In my first card, I’m showcasing both the Stitched Duo 1 dies and the Stitched Borders 1 dies. Thanks to my dies, I now utterly obsessed with creating little window scenes. These dies make it SO easy and you can do so much with them!
Just in case you’re wondering which stamps sets I used for this card, I pulled out the Just Hatched and On Point Borders sets from Mama Elephant. I just love these sets and they work beautifully with my new dies! To finish off the card, I used the Grassy Border die from Lawn Fawn- I thought it was the perfect finishing touch!
Now I know many of you are in love with the monster stamps that I’ve been using lately, so I thought I would bring you another card with them. You may recognize this stamp- I used it in my sequin shaker tutorial video. It’s such a happy image and I really like that it doesn’t take long to color.
By request, I filmed a video showing exactly how I made this card. Oh yes, and there’s a little peek at a new product that’ll be released in July! *wink*
PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop- I’m giving away 2 $25 gift certificates to two random comments left before June 8, 2014 at 11:59 PM PDT. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!
Okay dokie, now I know you all want to see the fabulous inspiration…. here’s the list of blog hop stops. Each of these gals are extremely talented and I truly am honored they took the time to make something with my dies.
I wanted to do one last thing to say thank you for joining in this hop….enter below for several chances to win BOTH of the new dies, along with the brand new Patriotic kit!
Thank you all for your enthusiasm about the new dies, encouragement and for spreading the word about Pretty Pink Posh. You truly make this journey a fun one and I can’t wait to design and release more dies in the future!
Just a quick little post today. I wanted to let you all know that tomorrow, June 5th, I’ll be having a blog hop to showcase the new Pretty Pink Posh dies! I’m bringing along some very special guests, along with the PPP team and we have all sorts of scrumptious inspiration to share with you. Below is just a peek at some of the projects- there’s even more that what I’m showing!
For those who have ordered the dies already, I’m getting your orders together and will ship by Friday (if all goes as planned). For those who are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Stitched Duo 1 dies, another large batch of them will be available starting tomorrow! If you would like to be notified as soon as they’re back in stock, be sure to click the “email me when back in-stock” link on the product page HERE.
Well, I better get back to packing and picking orders. I hope to see you ALL tomorrow!
POLL: If you could suggest a theme for the next blog hop, what would it be? I have several ideas, but I would love to hear yours!
It’s the moment many of you have been waiting for…..it’s time to announce the lucky winners of the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop. There are LOTS and LOTS of winners in this post, so be sure to look through it completely- you just might be one of the lucky winners!
In case there is any question as to how these winners/ comments were picked, rest assured it was completely at random. Thanks to a handy online program (and the good old eye closing and randomly scrolling down to comments), I compiled this post of winners.
First off, let’s start off with the participants who won prizes. In the polaroids, you’ll see the winning entry and name, along with the prize listed next to it.
And now it’s time to announce the lucky winners who left comments on various stops on the blog hop. It warmed my heart to see that many of you took the time to leave sweet comments- I know that those who participated appreciated each and every one of them!
Below you’ll see a picture and then a name/comment with a prize underneath it. The picture shows the blog hop stop the comment was left at and the name/ comment is the winner of the prize listed below. I tried to make it straightforward, but alas, it was hard to fit all the necessary info!
Without further ado, here are the winning comments!
I promised to provide a $20 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson or Simon Says Stamp for every 100 entries and it’s time to announce the winner of that prize.
WINNERS: please contact me at prettypinkposh (at) gmail.com with your name, list the prize you won, along with your mailing address.
A BIG thank you to everyone who participated, left comments and shared loving words to me regarding this blog hop. Since this was the first blog hop Pretty Pink Posh hosted, I wasn’t sure how it would be received, but I’ll say that this one was a success!
It was quite a lot of work to coordinate with sponsors, organize prizes and plan everything out. However, your comments and entries made it worth it! As soon as I finish up with orders and correspondence, I plan on taking a few much needed days off.
For those who have asked how they can thank me for the hop…. I’m providing a way for you to donate! (Which really just means it’ll help fuel me for lots more blog posts, orders and videos) *wink*– Send a Paypal donation
Thank you all again so very much for the love- I can’t wait to start planning for the next blog hop!
I am so thrilled to see that you all are enjoying the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop. I was able to hop along to quite a few stops and hope to visit some more later on. I must say, I have been SO inspired by the entries and just might be thinking we will make this a quarterly event.
Since the blog hop post was quite long, I decided not to share my card in that post, so I’m bringing it to you today! I have been loving bright and happy colors lately and this card definitely falls into this category.
For this card, I used the DeNami Design Chickie Flowers and the Sending You Love stamps. It’s been a while since I pulled out this chickie stamp and forgot how fun it is! I just may have made another card with this stamp that I’ll be sharing down the road. *wink*
If you want to participate in the blog hop, but don’t know how to make a sequin shaker, it’s okay! I put together a video tutorial and I’ve heard from many people that they are also addicted to making shaker cards now!
There’s only 18 hours left to enter your sequin shakers and leave comments- be sure to make some time to join in the fun. As I mentioned before, there’s TONS of amazing prizes up for grabs and you never know, leaving comments on a few stops just might get you a prize!
Have a wonderful Monday. Big crafty hugs to you all!
Do you remember the feeling you go when you were a kid at Christmas? Excitement, joy, waiting anxiously…. that’s exactly how I have been feeling leading up to today- the day the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop starts! Not only am I a lover of sequin shakers, but I’m also excited because this marks the very first blog hop that I’m opening up to the public on this blog.
Date: The blog hop starts TODAY, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 6AM, PST and will run until Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:55 PM, PST.
Who: We want EVERYONE to be involved. If you love sequins and have a blog, you are welcome to join along. Don’t have a blog yet? This is a great time to start one OR you can just hop along and be inspired!
Prizes: There will be ALL sorts of prizes…whether you’re entering creations into the hop, or hopping along and leaving comments on the stop, there will be prizes for BOTH!
What kind of prizes will there be? There’s TONS of gift certificates and there are also prize packs! When I announce the winners, I’ll detail every prize from the sponsors, but let me just say that EVERY SINGLE prize is wonderful.
More Prizes?
If we can get 100 entries, I’ll donate a $20 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson or Simon Says Stamp. 200 entries? I’ll donate another! For every 100 entries (up to 500) I’ll throw in an extra $20 gift certificate!
If you want to participate, but don’t know how to create a sequin shaker, you’re in luck! I have put together a shaker tutorial video on YouTube and I promise it’s not as hard as you may think!
I hope you all will be able to participate one way or another, whether that means by creating something or leaving comments!

Have a super wonderful weekend and I can’t wait to hop along and see all of YOUR lovely shakers!
It’s time for the monthly DeNami Design blog hop and the theme this month is Buttons & Bows! A couple years back, buttons were SUPER trendy in card making. Nowadays, we don’t see them too often, but I still love to bring them out occasionally. Today I decided to bring them out in a different way….in stamp form!
I absolutely love the Small Solid Button and was excited to pull it out for the hop. It had been far too long since this poor stamp saw the light and now I’m wondering why I took it off my craft desk. It’s such a great image!
If you started the hop from the beginning, you should be arriving from Linda Carpenter’s blog. If you get lost along the way, head on over to the DeNami blog for the complete list of participants.
It had been a while since I had made a baby card and for some reason, I felt like making one in my recent crafting session. Now I have sequin shakers on my mind a lot lately (did you see my BLOG HOP announcement?!) and I thought this little ducks would look cute as a shaker. Does the sequins remind anyone else of bubbles?
*Pssst…..if you’re looking for an exclusive coupon code to DeNami, it’s in the announcement post. It’s a post packed full of info; you won’t want to miss it!
There are still several stops left in the hop….your next stop is my sweet friend, Stacey Schafer! She always has such fun ideas and I can’t wait to see what DeNami creation she has made for the hop today!
In closing, I want to let you all know that I have a new sequin shaker tutorial coming up in a day or two. If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to the Pretty Pink Posh YouTube channel so you don’t miss it. See you back here on the blog soon!
It’s hard to believe that it’s been five months since I opened the Pretty Pink Posh Shop. It’s been a roller coaster of a ride thus far and I have a feeling even more things are in store for us soon.
Ever since I opened, I wanted to host a blog hop and now that things have settled in a bit, it’s time to announce the very first Pretty Pink Posh blog hop. But wait….this isn’t just any sort of blog hop….this one has TONS of amazing sponsors involved and they’ll be sharing inspiration leading up to the big event. I’m proud to announce the first blog hop theme is: SEQUIN SHAKERS!
Whether you’re new to sequin shakers, or you’re a pro at them, we want you to be a part of this event. You can make sequin shaker cards, tags, or maybe you have another sequin shaker idea…whatever the case may be, you are welcome to be a part of it! Date: The blog hop will start on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 6AM, PST and will run until Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:55 PM, PST.
Where: It’s taking place HERE on the Pretty Pink Posh blog. We will have a link-up widget where you can link up your project and then hop along and see what others have created.
Who: We want EVERYONE to be involved. If you love sequins and have a blog, you are welcome to join along. Don’t have a blog yet? This is a great time to start one!
Now it wouldn’t be a blog hop without sponsors and boy, do I have lots of amazing ones for this first hop. I love these companies and am so grateful to not only have them sponsor, but many of them will also have designers bringing us sequin shaker inspiration the week before the event! Now this is BIG news, right? Well, my sweet friends, I have something even sweeter to share! I have four coupons EXCLUSIVE to my readers/ the participants of the upcoming blog hop. How about a little shopping before you start to plan on your blog hop entry?
Free shipping on USA & Canada orders over $75 or $7.99 off international orders!
Whew, that’s a ton of info for one post! I’ll wrap this up in just a bit, but before I do, I also wanted to share a graphic you can post on YOUR blog if you plan on participating. Just add the code below to your blog sidebar and help spread the word about the blog hop!
Okay, that’s going to wrap up this announcement. I hope you’re just as excited about this blog hop as I am! Depending on the response of this one, who knows, maybe we can make this a quarterly event (and make it even BIGGER)!
I’ll be bringing a new shaker card tutorial very soon and also sharing some inspiration before the hop. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below and I’ll answer them.
It’s time for the monthly DeNami blog hop and the theme this month is: Fuzzy Friends. You all know I’m a sucker for cute critters and it was so hard to decide which animal I wanted to feature. Ultimately, I decided on the new fox- he was begging to be used. *wink*
If you started the hop from the beginning, you should be coming from adorable Leah’s post. This sweetie pie is so talented and I always get excited when she signs up for the hops. If you get lost along the way, head on over to the DeNami blog for the complete list of participants.
For my card I pulled out the new Woodland Mushrooms, Little Fox and the hello (from the Assorted Greetings set). I have been loving my new Springtime Mix of sequins and that helped me pick the colors for this card. You really can’t go wrong with aqua, pink, light yellow and mint green!
It’s been a while since I pulled out my picket fence border punch, so I thought that might be a nice addition with my newly purchased grass border die. LOVE it!
Well, it’s time for you to hop on over to the next stop: Melissa Chipperfield’s blog! Be sure to leave comments on each stop- we’re giving away DeNami gift certificates and with the birthday celebration savings, that will go even further!
Have a wonderful rest of your Sunday. Thanks for stopping by!
Today I’m joining in on Valentine’s Day Blog hop hosted by the sweet Jenn Shurkus! The hop started on February 1st and goes all the way through February 14th. That’s right, she’s posting 14 days of yummy Valentine goodness and organized 14 gals to join along in the fun. So honored to be one of her guests!
Do you remember THIS card? Well, I was so taken with that sweet little envelope that I had to bring it out again. Normally I would make this a super girlie card, but I wanted to make a special Valentine’s Day card for my dad. With my health issues, he has become extra in tuned to my issues and does everything he can to make life a little easier for me. I kid you not, he makes me breakfast every single day and yesterday he bought me pink roses- my favorite flower. Seeing as he blesses me every day, I wanted to make him a special card.
It’s no secret that I have an obsession with sequins and I have to add it to just about every card I make. There’s just something about them that makes a card complete! For this card I added my Sparkling Clear Sequins, along with the Red Heart Confetti.
If you haven’t already, be sure to stop by Jingle’s post from yesterday. She did a fab black, white and gold card that was not only trendy, but chic too! And then for tomorrow, you get to see Lenny’s post!
I promised exciting news and I get to reveal it now. My friends at Sweet Stamp Shop just released their newest stamp sets and their team is featuring lots of Pretty Pink Posh products! Exciting, right? This is my first collaboration with a stamp company since opening my shop and I am so thrilled with this opportunity. To make the deal even sweeter, I donated some products for a giveaway that they’re hosting on their blog.
In closing, I want to mention that there are a few sequin colors in the shop that are sold out. Don’t worry, I have them already on order and they should be here on Thursday or Friday. As soon as they arrive, I’ll post on the Pretty Pink Posh Facebook page, so be sure to stay tuned there!
Well, that’s going to close this post. I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and be sure to check out the giveaway over on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog. Thanks for stopping by!
