I am so thrilled to see that you all are enjoying the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop. I was able to hop along to quite a few stops and hope to visit some more later on. I must say, I have been SO inspired by the entries and just might be thinking we will make this a quarterly event.

Since the blog hop post was quite long, I decided not to share my card in that post, so I’m bringing it to you today! I have been loving bright and happy colors lately and this card definitely falls into this category.

For this card, I used the DeNami Design Chickie Flowers and the Sending You Love stamps. It’s been a while since I pulled out this chickie stamp and forgot how fun it is! I just may have made another card with this stamp that I’ll be sharing down the road. *wink*

Sequin Shaker Blog Hop

Excitement, joy, waiting anxiously…. that’s exactly how I have been feeling leading up to today- the day the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop starts! Not only am I a lover of sequin shakers, but I’m also excited because this marks the very first blog hop that I’m opening up to the public on this blog.

Buttons, Sequins & Ducks?!

It’s time for the monthly DeNami Design blog hop and the theme this month is Buttons & Bows! A couple years back, buttons were SUPER trendy in card making. Nowadays, we don’t see them too often, but I still love to bring them out occasionally. Today I decided to bring them out in a different way….in stamp form!

I absolutely love the Small Solid Button and was excited to pull it out for the hop. It had been far too long since this poor stamp saw the light and now I’m wondering why I took it off my craft desk. It’s such a great image!

It had been a while since I had made a baby card and for some reason, I felt like making one in my recent crafting session. Now I have sequin shakers on my mind a lot lately (did you see my BLOG HOP announcement?!) and I thought this little ducks would look cute as a shaker. For my card I pulled out the new Woodland Mushrooms, Little Fox and the hello (from the Assorted Greetings set). I have been loving my new Springtime Mix of sequins and that helped me pick the colors for this card. You really can’t go wrong with aqua, pink, light yellow and mint green!

It’s been a while since I pulled out my picket fence border punch,  so I thought that might be a nice addition with my newly purchased grass border die. LOVE it!

I {heart} You + Giveaway!

Today I’m joining in on Valentine’s Day Blog hop hosted by the sweet Jenn Shurkus! The hop started on February 1st and goes all the way through February 14th. Do you remember THIS card? Well, I was so taken with that sweet little envelope that I had to bring it out again. Normally I would make this a super girlie card, but I wanted to make a special Valentine’s Day card for my dad. With my health issues, he has become extra in tuned to my issues and does everything he can to make life a little easier for me. I kid you not, he  makes me breakfast every single day and yesterday he bought me pink roses- my favorite flower. Seeing as he blesses me every day, I wanted to make him a special card.

It’s no secret that I have an obsession with sequins and I have to add it to just about every card I make. There’s just something about them that makes a card complete! For this card I added my Sparkling Clear Sequins, along with the Red Heart Confetti.

DeNami Valentine Blog Hop

Today is the DeNami blog hop and the theme for this month is VALENTINE. After doing a whole week of Valentine cards filled with pinks and reds, I wanted to change things up a bit and do a card with lots of purple. However, you know me and pink….I had to sneak in just a bit of it in this card, too!

My card today is fairly simple, but I really wanted to let the new sentiment, Day Filled With Happiness, take the spotlight. Seriously, how lovely is this combination of fonts?

valentine3aSince this card was going to be really simple, I added in some sequins to make a quick shaker card. This is the perfect way to dress up a card and make it feel more special. For this particular shaker, I used the Orchid, Amethyst and Sparkling Clear sequins– a perfect trio of colors!

Lawnscaping Winter Blog Hop

It’s not often that I participate in blog hops, but I just couldn’t resist playing along in the Lawnscaping Blog Hop this month. After all, the theme is WINTER and since I’m obsessed with the Winter Sparrows stamps and dies, it just made sense. *wink* If you have started the hop from the beginning, you should have arrived from Karin’s blog.

If you follow my blog regularly, you know that I’m head over heels in love with sequins. It’s been a little while since did a sequin shaker card and I thought today would be the perfect occasion to do a winter one. Razzle Dazzle Blog Hop

Hello and Happy Sunday!

Today is the DeNami blog hop and the theme for this month is RAZZLE DAZZLE. Seeing as I’m a girly girl, I truly love this theme and I couldn’t wait to create something for it. The question: what kind of dazzle would I add?

As many of you know, I recently opened the Pretty Pink Posh Shop and my love of sequins has been taken to new heights. With the abundance of them around, I just couldn’t resist adding lots of them on today’s card. I went the route of a bright and whimsical theme and I must say, it’ll be hard to part with this one. The colors= swoon worthy!

I pulled out only three stamps for this card and each one is a MUST HAVE in my book. I used the Large Mitten (so perfect for gift tags too!), the Christmas Wishes sentiment and the Medium Polka Dots.

Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the grand opening of the Pretty Pink Posh Shop!

I am thrilled that the day has finally arrived….my shop is officially open! Today I am hosting a blog hop in celebration of the shop and I have 10 amazingly talented special guests joining along as well. Each of these gals have such a unique crafting style- something I really want to showcase for this hop. The products in my shop are sparkly and can add a little glitz and glam to any of your crafting projects. Whether you are creating Christmas cards or tags, to shopping for stocking stuffers, to getting items to add to your December Daily pages, my products fit the bill perfectly.

I honestly could have filled up a huge post will all sorts of projects, but I decided to cut back and just share two cards today. After all, there are 10 other stops and I KNOW they are packed with inspiration. I haven’t seen any of the posts yet, so you can be sure I’ll be hopping along with the rest of you gals!

My first card is one that makes my heart skip a beat. I am absolutely in LOVE with all of the bells in my shop and the small ones are so perfect for cards. I’m partial to gold at the moment, so I decided to feature them first. How darling is that wreath with three little bells at the top? *swoon*

It’s super easy to add these bells to your cards and projects. I used some embroidery floss to thread them through and then wrapped them around my twine bow. If you wanted to hold them in place, you could also add a little glue dot or a dab of lacquer, to ensure they stay down.

My next card features five different sequin colors from the shop: Espresso, Marigold, Gold, Pink Peonies and Pumpkin. I wanted the sequins to act as “ornaments” and kept the rest of the card fairly simple. It’s so fun to mix and match and see which sequin colors work together. Granted, my studio look like a sequin tornado hit it, but there couldn’t be a prettier “mess”, in my opinion.

If you’re curious as to what kind of adhesive you can use with sequins, I personally use Crystal Lacquer. It comes with a fine tip that makes adding a dab of adhesive really easy.

Other options: Glossy Accents, Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, or Medium Matte.

I’ve stocked up the shop and I’ll be getting some more inventory in on Tuesday. I know that I personally dislike when places are out of stock constantly, so I plan on doing everything I can to make sure my shop stays stocked.

It’s been so exciting to see my childhood dream of owning my own business come to life.
