Today you are in for a real treat. Grab yourself a delicious beverage (and possibly a snack) and hop along with me today for all sorts of beautiful inspiration, along with some bonus tutorials!
As I was putting together the details of the Watercolor blog hop, I really wanted to make sure that you were inspired by amazing cards. After all, once you get inspired, you want to create, right? I truly hope that you will be inspired by the out-of-this-world amazing watercolor inspiration from the PPP team, special guests and companies sponsoring this event.
If you haven’t already, be sure to RSVP for the Watercolor Blog Hop event on Facebook. I’ll be posting there over the weekend with cards that are submitted, sharing watercolor tutorials AND I’m doing some extra giveaways over there as well!
I can’t wait to hop along and see all of YOUR beautiful watercolor submissions starting tomorrow morning!
I wanted to pop in really quickly. Yesterday I was finishing up the final touches of the upcoming blog hop posts and was in awe of the gorgeous inspiration. Naturally, since I love color and am bursting at the seams excited for the hop, I thought some sneak peeks of cards was necessary. These cards are from the PPP team, along with special guests joining in with inspiration.
Here’s a rundown of the blog hop schedule:
Thursday) you’ll see inspiration from the Pretty Pink Posh design team, along with special guests and companies sponsoring the blog hop. This will allow you to be inspired from their creations and then hopefully, you’ll create something so you can link up on Friday!
Friday) the hop opens to the public and you can link up your watercolor creations. Each person will be able to link up to THREE projects for this blog hop. Note: each entry must be new (not previously shown on your blog/ gallery).
Friday, Saturday, Sunday) I’ll be sharing cards that have been linked up for the blog hop on the Watercolor Blog Hop event on Facebook. In addition, I’m hosting some extra giveaways there. (Don’t worry, if you don’t have Facebook, there will still be plenty of prizes during the blog hop)
Monday) is the last day to link up your projects and leave comments on posts. Remember, if you leave comments on blog posts, there’s a higher chance for you to win prizes! There will be prizes for both designers who create/ share their projects, along with comments left along the hop.
I’ll see you tomorrow for all sorts of fabulous watercolor inspiration.
I am super excited for today’s blog post. It’s been eight months since I put on the last blog hop and I’ve been waiting for just the right time to bring a new one. These sorts of big events take quite a bit of planning on my end and with my up and down health, I had to postpone them for a bit. Well, the wait is over and I’m so pleased to announce the third big blog hop that I’m hosting that YOU can be part of!
As you probably have noticed, watercolors are super trendy in the paper craft world and I thought it would be fun to see a watercolor theme. Now I personally am a newbie when it comes to watercolors, so I’ll be bringing along some fabulous special guests that will bring some amazing inspiration. Plus, at the end of this post, I’ll have several links to watercolor tutorial videos from my friends!
Date: The blog hop will start on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 6AM, PST and will run until Monday, June 8, 2015 at 11:55 PM, PST.
Where: It’s taking place HERE on the Pretty Pink Posh blog. I will have a link-up widget where you can link up your project(s) and then hop along and see what others have created.
Who: I want EVERYONE to be involved. Whether you’re a watercolor newbie or extraordinaire, I would love for you to join the fun. It’s up to you how much watercolor you would like to feature!
Now it wouldn’t be a fabulous blog hop without sponsors, right? I am so very grateful for my wonderful sponsors who not only are sponsoring prizes, but some of them will even have watercolor inspiration to share the day before the big hop!

That’s going to wrap up this announcement and post. I hope that you’ll take advantage of the amazing savings coupons in this post and get your watercolors ready. Make sure to mark your calendar for June 4th as I’ll be sharing lots of watercolor inspiration from some watercolor experts and then we’ll see you on June 5th when you link up your creations, or hop along with us! There are tons of prizes and it’s going to be a really fun event.
It’s been two weeks since the new dies and sequins were released and I know that many of you have already gotten your orders. Hooray! For those who still have orders in, fear not, I just got restock shipments on all the new products, so there’s lots in the shop!
On my first card, I decided to go with blues and browns for this card- a color palette I think looks darling for baby cards. For my focal point, I used the Noah’s Ark stamp from DeNami Design. How cute is this stamp?! I went with subtle coloring so the cardstock and sequins colors could really stand out. When I finished off the card, I thought it needed a little more texture so I added the yummy champagne chevron twill ribbon.
On my second card, I went with my current go-to colors- purple, green and gray. These colors are so striking and every time I put together a new batch of the Enchanted Garden embellishment kit, I want to play with the products. I wanted to create a shaker card using these beautiful colors and since I just got the Baby Party Animals set from Simon Says Stamp, I thought it would look cute on this card. This stamp set is DARLING! As I was creating, I decided I wanted to try to incorporate the bracket die from the Stitched Borders 3. I must say, I really love the way it looks at the bottom of cards! If you are a fan of the little sequin flowers, you’ll definitely want to get the new Lilac Garden Flowers. This pack has four different colored flowers in one package and they add the perfect little touch to your craft projects. LOVE!
PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop- I’m giving away 2 $25 gift certificates to two random comments left before May 18, 2015 at 11:59 PM PDT.
Ready to hop along and see LOTS more fabulous inspiration from the design team?
Thank you all for your enthusiasm about the new dies, sequins and embellishment kit and for spreading the word about Pretty Pink Posh. Be sure to join me tomorrow- I’ll be making the BIG blog hop announcement with over 12 sponsors and there will be exclusive coupon codes, too!
I’m so very excited to tell you all that Paper Crafter’s Library will be featuring Pretty Pink Posh today. I created a special card just for them using the new Stitched Banner Duo 2, along with some of my favorite sequins and products. Be sure to head over to the Paper Crafter’s Library for the card details AND a great prize pack that I’m giving away!
Mark your calendars for June 5th. It’s been a little while since I had the last blog hop and many of you have been requesting for another one. I’m lining up some wonderful sponsors, special guests and coupon codes that you can take advantage of before the blog hop. I’ll be making the official announcement very soon- stay tuned! Here’s a teeny peek at the graphic- any guesses what the theme might be?
I hope that you’ll be able to join along in the fun- whether you’re a participants, hopper, or both. These are always a ton of fun and it’s always so amazing to be able to team-up with some of my favorite companies and brands for these sorts of events.
Well, I better get to packing up these orders. Until next time…
I am so very excited to be participating in my first Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop. They just had a new release yesterday and today a huge group of us are sharing inspiration using some of the new stamps, dies and stencils! If you are hoping along, you should have arrived from Kelly Booth’s blog.
I was giddy with excitement when I was asked to join along and equally as excited when I opened up my package and saw the new Falling Rain cling stamp. I live in Seattle (where we get LOTS of rain) and this stamp is simply perfect. Plus, it’s such a unique design and I don’t have anything else like it.
I wanted to create a fun scene highlighting the Falling Rain, so after playing with a few options, I decided to make that the backdrop for my little critters. For my focal point, I started off by creating a little water puddle using the Peacock Feathers distress ink (yes, I actually did a little watercolor!). I stamped, colored and die cut the umbrella and birds and then I added some extra touches to finish off the card.
Have you tried the Clear Wink of Stella yet? Oh my goodness, I’m kind of obsessed with it at the moment. It’s the perfect balance of shimmer, without the hassle and mess of glitter.
I’ve been getting a whole lot of requests for my card and tutorial videos again, so I thought today would be the perfect day to bring one. I’m a little rusty at crafting while filming, but I hope that you still enjoy the video!
Question: do you enjoy seeing people color images in? I was editing this video and realized I spent 20% of it coloring. Not sure what you all think about that…
Whew! That was a whole lot of info in this post. I know there are lots of other stops in this fabulous blog hop, so I’ll let you go. Be sure to leave a comment on each stop- Simon Says Stamp is giving away a prize pack on each blog!
It’s been a few days since the new dies and sequins were released and I know that some of you are already starting to get your orders. Hooray! For those who still have orders in, fear not, I’m still busy working on those orders and will get them out as soon as I can. Now for those who were waiting to see more ideas on these products- TODAY is the day.
The last three cards I shared were pastel cards, so I thought I would share a bright and bold card today. Plus, I was looking for a reason to break out the Tiny Heroes set by Mama Elephant and these colors fit it perfectly.
On today’s card, I used the new Picket Fence die, along with the Stitched Duo 2(for the main piece) and the Stitched Borders 1 for the grassy hill and the red scallop border. I love how the picket fence really makes the scene feel like it’s outside and brings the whole superhero scene together.
I will admit, I cannot stop using the Spring Flowers Mix. These little flowers work well on so many themes and depending on how many you add, you really can make each pack stretch.
PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop- I’m giving away 2 $25 gift certificates to two random comments left before March 11, 2015 at 11:59 PM PDT. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!
Ready to hop on over and see LOTS more fabulous inspiration? Each of these gals are extremely talented and I truly am honored they took the time to make something with my new dies and sequins.
In closing, if you haven’t already entered, I have another chance to win a PPP gift certificate. I truly am so grateful that you all are making my dreams become a reality and I want to give back to you whenever I can. My hope is that these go to people who need a little extra encouragement or are going through a rough patch. I go through them, so I know how something like this (though it is small) can brighten a day.
Thank you all for your enthusiasm about the new dies and sequins, encouragement and for spreading the word about Pretty Pink Posh. You truly make this journey a fun one and I can’t wait to design and release more products in the future!
Today is a bittersweet day in paper crafts blog land. As many have probably heard, the doors to Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine are closing. This magazine won my heart a few years ago with their creative ideas, innovative features and their editors and Go-to Gals hilarious personalities. To this day, I still haven’t met any of them, but I FEEL like I have with the coorespondance and interactions I’ve had with these dear, sweet gals.
Why did I say bittersweet? While I am still in shock of the news, I know that seeing this blog hop and all the love that went into the posts, projects, videos, etc.. will warm the hearts of the gals who made up PC&S. These lovely ladies inspired us, shared their talents and also pushed us to be more creative in our hobby. I hope that this blog hop will be a little virtual hug for each of them– oh and based on the amount of stops, they’ll be getting over 200 hugs! :)
*For those who are hopping along, you should be coming from Audrey Tokach’s blog.
One thing that stood out to me every time I opened a magazine was the amount of color packed in each issue. With that being said, I decided to go with a bright card that also happens to feature the stamps of one of the Go-To gals, Heather Campbell! I just love the Fabulous Florals set that she designed for Avery Elle.
For this card, I went to my current go-to layout, which has the Stitched Duo 1 die as the focal point. This tag is the perfect size for an A2 size card and you can create all sorts of fun scenes, bouquets and layouts with it. I went the route of creating a floral cluster in a variety of colors and then added the “hello darling” sentiment. To finish off the card, I added all three sizes of my Sparkling Clear sequins.
Your next stop in the hop is the Reverse Confetti blog. I’m sure Jen has something fun to share with you! You’re almost to the halfway mark, so now might be a good time to refill the coffee cup- I know there are some amazing projects ahead!
In closing, I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to each of the gals that made up PC&S. You inspired me to continue crafting (when I almost gave it up), to submit to publications and go outside my comfort zone, to find a balance between being trendy and finding my own style, to build friendships in the crafting community and most of all, to share paper crafts with those around me.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the inspiration blog hop I did with my friends at Winnie & Walter. Wasn’t it a fun hop? There was so much amazing inspiration and I’m so excited to play with more of my Winnie & Walter goodies!
It’s time to announce the winner of the huge prize pack…..
Bev, please click the “contact” button at the top of the blog and send over your shipping info so I can get this prize pack sent off to you. You are going to have so much fun with all of these amazing goodies!
Shipping update: I’m currently working on the remaining orders from the flash sale from last Thursday. I never dreamed I would have gotten the amount of orders that I did, so it’s taking a bit longer to ship them out. Thank you for your patience and understanding! I’m picking and packing as quickly as I can and I’m hoping to finish them within the next couple of days.
You all are TRULY amazing. I couldn’t ask for better customers, blog readers and friends. I plan on writing a heartfelt post tomorrow- see you then!
I have been counting down the days to this day and it’s finally here! I am beyond thrilled to be teaming up with my friends at Winnie & Walter for the very first Pretty Pink Posh collaboration since opening my shop. It’s been a goal of mine to work with some of my friends in this industry in a team-up and I couldn’t be happier than to do my first one with Julie and Shay from WW.
All of the girls from the Pretty Pink Posh and Winnie & Walter teams are joining along in a blog hop packed full of inspiration featuring both companies. I must say, Julie and Shay have great taste in designers- each of them are super talented AND we have a few of the same gals, which made this even more fun.
I received a variety of sets from Winnie & Walter, but I just had to show off The Big, The Bold and Extras first. I fell in love with the gorgeous roses and I love how easy it was to create clusters and make my own sentiment. This set is not only great for everyday use, but it would be PERFECT for creating wedding cards. I don’t know about you, but I struggle with those big time and this set would make it super easy!
This focal point was so pretty, I didn’t feel like the card needed anything too fussy for embellishments, so I went with my tried and true trios. I used the 6mm Sparkling Clear, 4mm Espresso and 4mm Mossy Green to accent this card.
Now it wouldn’t be a proper blog hop without prizes and boy, we have prizes! Julie and Shay love giving things away as much as I do, so we have two prize packs FULL of our products. They will randomly pick a winner and I will randomly pick a winner for our respective prize packs. Here’s the one I get to give away!
How can you win this prize pack? All you have to do is leave a comment on the blogs and you’re entered! You have a higher chance of winning if you leave a comment on each stop, so I’d suggest getting a cup of coffee (or tea or water) and hop along. Not only will you get a huge amount of inspiration, you’ll also have a chance at winning a huge prize pack! (Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PDT on 10/27/2014.)
Ready to get hopping? I know there’s lots of stops, so I will wrap this up. I hope that you are inspired by all the creations and if you haven’t already, be sure to check out the array of stamp sets by Winnie & Walter.
*I had wanted to do a start-to-finish video for this card, but it’s been rainy and overcast, so the lighting was horrible. Let me know if you’re interested in seeing this video and I’ll try filming again when the sun comes out!
