As I mentioned yesterday, I’ll be back later this week with a more heartfelt post. I’m still trying to decide what I want to write about. If you have suggestions, let me know!
I am beyond thrilled to be a special guest in celebration of Mama Elephant’s 2nd Anniversary Stampede. The gals at Mama Elephant are such an inspiration to me and I must say, their stamps have quickly become my favorite brand. They have a knack for creating the perfect cute, whimsical and classic sets and their sentiments sets are superb.
Today I’m sharing their new set Block Party Letters, along with Polar Pals(a set previously released). I used the new letters to create “MERRY” and then I masked off one of the sentiments from Polar Pals to get the “and bright” sentiment.
My readers will know that I love shaker cards and it has been a little while since I created one. I thought today was the perfect time to fix this! Seriously, how scrumptious is this Aquamarine, Raspberry and Sparkling Clear mixture?
If you are new to sequin shakers, I put together a video showing how to make your own. It’s not as overwhelming as it may look, I promise! It has been such a joy to see so many of you making sequin shakers after watching my tutorial. Seeing that my video has inspired you totally makes the work behind it so worth it!
Now onto some of the details of the celebration….
Mama Elephant is giving away THREE $25 gift certificates each day of the Stampede, 9 winners total. Be sure to leave a comment on all of the blogs! There are also exclusive prize giveaways on their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, 3 winners total. Winners will be chosen and announced by Mama Elephant on Monday, October 20th on the Mama Elephant blog.
I’m the last stop for today’s Stampede, but just in case you haven’t seen the other blog posts, here are the links!
If you don’t own any Mama Elephant stamps yet, be sure to subscribe to my blog. I have several cards coming up featuring Mama Elephant AND I bought some extra goodies that I’ll be giving away on my social media sites soon. It’ll be Christmas a little early here!
I hope you were inspired by my card today- thanks for spending some time with me!
It’s time for the Product Release Blog Hop featuring the brand new dies I released on October 1st. This is my third die release and I must say, it’s SO fun to hear your reactions to the dies I design! Oh boy, today you all are in for a real treat. The design team and special guests have created a whole array of samples using the new dies (along with some previously released dies and sequins) and I cannot wait for you to see the AMAZING projects they made!
Before we get to their projects, I wanted to share a project that I made using the Stitched Tags die set.
I love using tags on my cards (as you’ve probably noticed in recent posts), but I wanted to stretch myself and use them in a new way. After some playing, I decided a colorful tag background was the way to go. Add in some polka dots (because everything is better with dots), glitter, sequins and voila!
It’s been a little while since I did a start to finish card video, but since many have been asking, I thought it was time to do another one. I tried something new in the video…. I’m curious to hear what you all think of it!
PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop- I’m giving away 2 $25 gift certificates to two random comments left before October 12, 2014 at 11:59 PM PDT. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!
Ready to hop on over and see LOTS more fabulous inspiration? Each of these gals are extremely talented and I truly am honored they took the time to make something with my dies- their projects and cards are going to blow you away.
Now that you have hopped along, you might find you NEED these dies. Good news, I still have lots in stock, they are available at Simon Says Stamp, and they’ll be at Ellen Hutson very soon!
In closing, here is the lucky winner from the Essentials by Ellen Blog Hop. Denise, I have emailed you, so be sure to check your inbox and send over your mailing information so the gals at Ellen can get your stamp set shipped off to you!
Thank you all for your enthusiasm about the new dies and sequins, encouragement and for spreading the word about Pretty Pink Posh. You truly make this journey a fun one and I can’t wait to design and release more products in the future!
Today I’m honored to be a special guest for the Essentials by Ellen Blog Hop! We’re so excited to unveil a brand new line of high quality Clear Stamp Sets and Designer Dies, designed by Julie Ebersole exclusively for Ellen Hutson LLC.
This collection reflects an eclectic mix of images, sentiments and art styles that are sure to appeal to a wide range of tastes! Just in time for holiday crafting, the entire release is available now at Ellen Hutson LLC.
Ready to see what I created? Let’s go…
My first card features the adorable gingerbread man from Tis the Season. I just love this little guy! I added the sprig from Christmas Scribbles to the top of the tags, which made it feel more festive and also brought in the green from the card base.
The little tags are from the brand new Stitched Tags die set I released (and will be at Ellen Hutson soon). I created a card, but you could easily just stamp one of the gingerbread men on a tag and make it a gift tag- easy peasy!
My next card showcases the three new brushstroke word dies- peace, love and joy. These brushstroke dies are so neat and versatile- they can work for cards and tags all year round! I paired these dies up with the Bokeh Dots set, which has all sorts of circular images and well, dots. *wink*
It’s hard to tell from this photo, but I actually die cut these words multiple times and adhered them together- it’s gives them an almost chipboard kind of look. (You’ll see this better in the video below) It had been a while since I broke out my metallic silver ink pad, but I love the little hints of sparkle you get from the circle shapes, along with the sequins.
My last card shows off the Brushstroke Joy die, along with the Christmas Scribbles set. I started off with the Stitched Duo 1 die as my focal point and created this little scene from there. You could easily switch out the turquoise for pink, purple, red or orange to change up the feel of the card. Imagine a trio of different colors in this design!
Did you happen to notice the itty bitty dots on the light blue cardstock? That stamp is from Bokeh Dots (which I go a little more in depth about in my video). You know how sometimes you need a little filler stamp for the blank areas on a card? This tiny dot is so perfect for that!
Once I finished my card, I realized it was a little flat, so I added my handy dandy sequins to dress things up. I used the 6mm Espresso, 6mm Sparkling Clear and 4mm Sparkling Clear. It’s such an easy step, but it really is the perfect finishing touch to so many projects!
It wouldn’t be a real blog hop without some sort of prize and the gals at Ellen Hutson have graciously allowed me to give the Tis the Season set away. All you have to do is leave a comment and one lucky winner will win this fun set!
Okay, now it’s time to to move on to the next stop and more chances at some prizes!
Head over to the CLASSroom, where there is a GIANT prize package being given away—be sure to leave a comment there by October 8th; winners will be announced October 9th!
Still can’t get enough? I filmed a video showcasing all of the new dies and stamp sets more in depth, along with some peeks at more cards I created with these products.
It’s the moment many of you have been waiting for…..it’s time to announce winners of the Cutting EdgeBlog Hop. There are LOTS and LOTS of winners in this post, so be sure to look through it completely- you just might be one of the lucky winners!

I’m so excited to announce that the second official Pretty Pink Posh blog hop is scheduled for later this month. I’ve been working for weeks to line-up sponsors, designers and let me just tell you that this hop is one you will NOT want to miss.
Ever since I hosted the first blog hop, I’ve been waiting for just the right time to do another one. We all know that life sometimes can get a little crazy, so I thought making it a quarterly event might be best. (Don’t quote me on this- it’ll all depend on if it continues to work logistically.) If you participated/ hopped in the first blog hop, you know this isn’t an ordinary blog hop. I’ve lined up some of my very favorite companies to be part of this special event!
Whether you’re new to paper crafts, or you’ve been doing it for decades, you have probably noticed that DIE CUTS are super popular right now. Whether they coordinate with stamps, they’re decorative borders or intricate designs, or maybe even alphabet shapes, die cuts are a huge part of crafting these days and this event will let them shine!
Date: The blog hop will start on Friday, August 22nd, 2014 at 6AM, PST and will run until Monday, August 25, 2014 at 11:55 PM, PST.
Where: It’s taking place HERE on the Pretty Pink Posh blog. We will have a link-up widget where you can link up your project and then hop along and see what others have created.
Who: We want EVERYONE to be involved. If you love adding die cuts to your projects and have a blog, you are welcome to join along. Don’t have a blog yet? This is a great time to start one!
Now it wouldn’t be a fabulous blog hop without sponsors, right? I love these companies and am so grateful to not only have them sponsor, but many of them will also be sharing inspiration the week before the event!
That’s not all…..I have two coupons EXCLUSIVE to my readers/ the participants of the upcoming blog hop. How about a little shopping before you start to plan on your blog hop project(s)?
Whew, that’s a ton of info for one post! I’ll wrap this up in just a bit, but before I do, I also wanted to share a graphic you can post on YOUR blog if you plan on participating. Just add the code below to your blog sidebar and help spread the word about the blog hop!
Stay tuned- I’ll have LOTS of die cut inspiration to share all this month and who knows, there might even be some more coupons coming later on. *wink*
I hope you’re just as excited about this blog hop as I am! The first blog hop was a huge success and I’m hoping we can get even more entries this time around.
Today I am participating in a super fun blog hop… it’s the StampNation Summer Beach Vacation event! I personally don’t get to take real vacations often, so I welcome any excuse to break out my beach stamps and imagine I’m taking a vacation. That’s right, it’s time to break out the sunglasses, grab a cool drink and drift off to a desert island (er, blog stops) for lots of paper craft inspiration.
I don’t know about you, but when I think of Summer, I think of BRIGHT colors and my card definitely has bright colors featured. I went all out for this card- I created a scene packed full of Summer stamps (all by DeNami Design).
It’s no secret that when I participate in a blog hop, I always have the hardest time choosing what stamps to use. Basically, I pull out dozens of stamps that fit into the theme, play around with different options and then start putting my card together. It makes for a messy desk, but I’ve found this to be a helpful way for me to kick start inspiration. One of these days, I’ll be brave enough to post a picture of what my desk looks like AFTER I finish a blog hop card.
It’s time to hop along now. Make sure you leave comments at each of the blogs listed below to be eligible to win…
One of THREE one month StampNation memberships.
$25 Pretty Pink Posh Gift Certificate
$25 Ellen Hutson Gift Certificate
Lawn Fawn Stamp Set of Choice & Let’s Polka 6×6 pad
For each of these prizes, one winner will be randomly drawn from all the blog hop comments. A second winner will be chosen from all the challenge entries at StampNation!
You will have have until 11:59 pm EST on July 27th to leave a comment. Winners will be chosen randomly and will be announced on Monday, July 28th on Catherine‘s blog.
