Advent Calendar Extravaganza is -the- festive event of the season! This ‘hop with a twist’ was dreamed up by Taheerah Atchia and features surprise destinations each day! Joining in the fun with Taheerah are ONE HUNDRED special guests – each serving up some fantastic Christmas inspiration! Just like an Advent Calendar, you’ll never know where you’re going to be visiting next until you ‘open the door’!

And that’s not all! With 25 *amazing* sponsors taking part as guests as well, your crafty wish list is bound to get a boost with a chance to win a prize EVERY SINGLE DAY!! Join in the fun every day at taheerah-atchia.com to see what special surprises await behind the door!

To begin, I first swiped my Versamark ink pad on a white cardstock and apply the Sticky Embossing Powder and Heat Set it. The Sticky Embossing powder helps the regular glitter stick on the card.

So, after pouring the glitter on top of the sticky card stock, then I have to heat set it again from the bottom of the cardstock to make the regular glitter stick permanently on the cardstock. I try NOT to heat set on top of the cardstock after pouring the regular glitter on the sticky cardstock because it tends to blow the glitter away.

Then I used the Festive Holly Dies to cut the holly for the card. I also colored the top part of the holly with Copic Markers to give interest.

Here, I also cut some Vellum paper to give interest on the other holly. Here you can see the cute angels from Angel Friends stamps and dies. The Merry Christmas Script Die, I also die-cut 3 times to make it thick.

As for the background I simply distressed it with Distress ink in Cracked Pistachio. I then added some glue dot using the Quickie Glue pen and pour on some Pure Sheen Glitter from Nuvo.

I also added some of the Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix to finish the card.

It’s not a party without a prize – and with prizes every day there are several chances to win! Today’s prize is generously supplied by Pretty Pink Posh so you’ll definitely want to win! Simply leave a comment on this post – then head back to taheerah-atchia.com and leave a comment there too! You must leave a comment on Taheerah’s blog as well as here in order to be eligible to win! Don’t forget to grab the other surprise destinations from Taheerah’s blog and head over to them to leave comments there as well to improve your odds even more! You have until 23:59 EST on 31st December 2017 to enter.

Don’t forget Advent Calendar Extravaganza runs from 1st-25th December inclusive so make sure you visit taheerah-atchia.com every day for fabulous inspiration and amazing prizes every single time!

November Product Release Blog Hop- Day 2

If you missed yesterday’s blog hop post, click here.

Hello everyone! It is Melody here sharing products from the new Pretty Pink Posh November release. Today I’m highlighting the Joy Shaker Die and a few of the new sequin mixes.

I started the card by cutting a piece of watercolor paper for my card front. Next I die cut the Joy Shaker Die from a gold foil and then again directly into the card front. This left a scalloped circle in the card front to form the shaker window.

I started the card by cutting a piece of watercolor paper for my card front. Next I die cut the Joy Shaker Die from a gold foil and then again directly into the card front. This left a scalloped circle in the card front to form the shaker window.

Behind the window I added a piece of acetate and then inlayed the gold Joy sentiment directly into the card front. On the back of the card front I added foam to create the shaker.

I dropped three of the new mixes into the shaker, Evergreen Sparkle MixGold Shimmer Seed Beads, and Sparkling Clear Snowflake Mix. Then I covered the back of the shaker with cardstock and attached the card front to the card base.

To finish off the card I die cut holly leaves and berries with the new Festive Holly Dies from watercolor paper, sponged on the color, and attached die cuts to left side of the shaker. The final touch is to attach a few Sparkling Clear Snowflakes. Lastly, stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Holiday Greetings stamp set.

November Product Release Blog Hop- Day 1

Hello there! It’s Marge here, one of the newer PPP social media designers. I hope you are enjoying our new November release.

Today I’m so excited to share my cards featuring Winter Woodland Stamp and coordinating dies set from our new November Release. The critters in this set are so adorable and they go very well with our previous release stamps sets such as Woodland Critters set. But today, I only used Winter Woodland sets.

To begin, I stamped Winter Woodland Stamp Set on a copic friendly cardstock, then colored them using copic markers, and then cut them using Winter Woodland Coordinating Dies. To make the snow on the log look dimensional, I applied snow marker on it, and added Diamond Stickles to it.

For the first card, I wanted to creat a warm winter scene, so I sponged a piece of A2-sized Bristol paper with some a peach colored dye ink and distress inks (Dried Marigold, Tattered Rose, and Squeezed Lemonade). I splatterd water onto it, and let it dry,

Then I cut another A2-sized panel using Window Frames Dies to make a round window frame.  To make a snowy hill, I picked out a wave-shaped die from our Stacked Edges 1 Dies, and cut a piece of white cardstock, then colored it using grey copic markers and Diamond Stickles on the top to give it some sparkling look.

To make a tag, I die cut Stitched Pieces Die from a red cardstock, stamped sentiment from our new Holiday Greetings Stamp Set, and tied a natural colored string.

After all the elements are done, I assembed them to build a whole card. First, I put the snowy hill onto the colored panel, adhered two mommy and baby critters, covered it with round window frame, and adhered a bough, rabbit and tag, all using foam tapes to give the card some dimensional look.

Finally I added our new Sparkling Clear Snowflake Sequins Mix, then put some 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins onto the background as well as Snowflake Sequins to make the snowflakes look prettier, and Metallic Gold Confetti Mix.

For my second card, I sponged a piece of A2-sized Bristol paper with distress inks (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron, and Scattered Straw), splattered water onto it, and let it dry.

I then stamped small snowflakes, and heat embossed them using white embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment from Holiday Greetings Stamp Set, and also heat-set it using clear embossing powder. Then I adhered critters images here and there to make a warm winter scene. I adhered the panel onto a card base, and added some  Sparkling Clear Snowflake Sequins Mix and Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix as final embellishment.

Ready to hop along and see LOTS more fabulous inspiration with this release?

Altenew Crafty Friends Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi and welcome to Day 2 of the Altenew Crafty Friends Blog Hop!  Pretty Pink Posh is a proud sponsor of this event!  We’re celebrating our love of crafting and how it’s drawn us closer together. Crafty friends are the BEST!!! If you’re hopping along you should have reached us through Sandra Dietrich’s blog. If you’d like to start from the beginning you can get all the details and start here at Altenew’s Scrapbook Blog!

I love to give flowers to friends and family.. lots of times they are from my garden, and more often they are on cards that I send so they know I’m thinking of them. My crafty friends are like family, they are so dear to my heart. We have the same things in common – we always want to make each other smile.

Altenew is my favorite place for flowers! They’re well  known for their multi stamp floral images, but more recently they have been releasing innovative stackable dies like these Fantasy Floral 3-d dies.  The flowers are three separate dies that you cut from colored paper and stack. They look great light to dark or dark to light. Flowers on my design today are arranged both ways.

The Altenew Crafty Friends stamp set is a must have for cards for your crafty friends.  The sentiments are a perfect way to celebrate your mutual love of friendship and crafting!

The perfect background for these gorgeous floral blooms is an ombre zig zag border from the Pretty Pink Posh Stacked Edges 1 die set.  The individual strips make a lovely accent when a single strip is added, but when you cut several and stack them together the result is breath taking. The stitched detail adds a crisp, rich detail to your design that looks expensive but is so easy to achieve.

My second card features the Altenew Floral Fantasy stamp set. It’s got two gorgeous multi stamped roses and assorted greenery. The flowers look amazing in any of the Altenew Die Ink colors that come in several shades and are designed to be layered.

The background was created with the Pretty Pink Posh Stacked Edges 1 die set.  This set is a real value because the set includes three dies that you can use individually or to create three background patterns.

Pink and yellow is my favorite floral combination.  I stamped the leaves in different shades of greens to give a more natural look.

This sentiment is also from the Altenew Crafty Friends stamp set. I know we can all relate to this sentiment!

A few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets give the flowers a fresh picked look.

Ready for the next stop?  It’s Kymona Tracey! But before you go make sure you leave a comment! There’s lots of prizes up for grabs!

Card Making Therapy Blog Hop

Hello, friends!

I am excited to be joining you for today’s blog hop. Not only because I actually got to stamp (after a year of only testing stamps!) but also because I get to share how crafting/ blogging has been a tremendous source of therapy for me in the past.

If you are hopping along, you should have come from Yana Smakula’s blog. Goodness, I don’t know how I got put after her since she will blow me out of the water, but that’s the beauty of crafting, we all have different styles, strengths and gifts, right? If you get lost along the way, head over to Amanda’s blog for the complete listing of designers joining in the hop, along with the great prizes and the story behind this blog hop!

For today’s card I am showing off the Reindeer Friends set, along with the Stitched Photo Frames die set and Scallop Frames die set. It’s been a while since I’ve stamped, but I always love using blue on cards, especially for winter/ Christmas cards. Add in some silver glitter cardstock with a dash of Sparkling Clear Sequins and your card has a super festive look!

How crafting/ blogging has helped me….

As many of you know, I was in a car accident that has changed my life. During that time, crafting and blogging became a source of therapy for me. It was therapeutic for me to have something I COULD do, something that made me feel like I had to get up for and something that I also enjoyed. It was during that time I began to visit new blogs, become friends with bloggers and also start blogging regularly again. Between crafting and sharing my story of the accident and different life lessons/ struggles I was battling, I found blogging to be a wonderful outlet for me. Granted, it is not for everyone; especially since there’s the chance of getting negative comments or mean things being said to/ about you. For me personally, this platform was what I needed to feel a connection to the outside world when I needed one, a way to feel “normal” and I have also made so many wonderful friendships from this crazy thing we call blogging.

No blog hop is complete without some prizes and Amanda has lined up some great ones! Be sure to leave a comment on each stop since she’ll be picking comments left on all the stops to win some of these great prizes below! Comments must be left on all the posts on this blog hop by 11:59pm EST on October 17th and will be announced on Amanda’s blog on October 19th.

September Product Release Blog Hop- Day 2

If you missed yesterday’s blog hop post, click here.

Suzy here with you today and we have a brand new batch of inspiration. Today I am showing off the darling Trick or Treat Friends stamp and die set. There are so many cute images in this set allowing you to create adorable Halloween scenes. I added a couple of the new stand-alone dies to this card as well.

I started the card with a black card base and a white stitched rectangle that I painted with small black watercolor dots.  Next, I used the new Stacked Edges 1 Dies to create the “ground” on my card. I watercolored these pieces with black watercolor and then outlined them with a black gel pen. I attached two pieces to the bottom of the card to complete the background.

To create the scene on the front, I used the large pumpkin from the new Stitched Foliage Dies. I painted it with orange watercolors and added shading with a gel pen. I stamped all of the Trick or Treat Friends images on white cardstock with a light color ink and colored them in with Copic markers. I added details and shading with gel pens. I attached all of the images on the card background creating a cute little trick or treat scene.

I added a sentiment from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set stamped in black ink. I used a speech bubble from the Stitched Speech Bubbles Dies for the sentiment. I outlined the stitches in the speech bubble with a black gel pen so it stood out more from the background. I added some 4mm Tangerine Sequins over the speech bubble to finish the card.

Ready to hop along and see LOTS more fabulous inspiration with this release?

PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. I’m giving away 4 $25 gift certificates to four random comments (2 winners each day) left before September 19, 2017 at 11:59 PM PST. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!

September Product Release Blog Hop- Day 1

Don’t forget to hop in our day 2 post HERE!

Hello there! It’s Marge here, one of the newer PPP social media designers.

Today I’m sharing two cards I made featuring the Reindeer Friends Stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh. I really loved the super cute reindeer and coloring them was so fun.

For the first card, I stamped the images and colored them all using copic markers, and then cut the images using the coordinating die set.

I die cut a piece of fun foam using our Tic Tac Toe Die which is also from the new release. Then I made a small shaker in the center square of the tic tac toe die cut by gluing acetate films on both sides of the square and putting Metallic Gold Confetti Mix in it. I die cut a piece of white card stock with Tic Tac Toe Die again, and glued it onto the fun foam die cut.

I used a pattern paper for yellow snowy background. After putting the Tic Tac Toe frame on a background paper, I laid pieces of the reindeer friends stamp set using foam tape and I also used pieces from the Angel Friends Stamp Set.

The sentiment was heat embossed using white embossing powder on a black card stock. The final touch was adding some Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix and Metallic Gold Sequins. I used copic markers E27, YR27, YR24,YR23  and YR21 for coloring reindeers. For red colors I usually prefer combination of R39, R29,and R27.
For the second card, I did the same with the Reindeer Friends Stamp set. To make a winter scene, I incorporated trees from the Holiday Pals Stamp Set, and the banner from the Angel Friends Stamp Set.
To make a snowy hill, I cut a white card stock using Stitched Borders 2 Dies, then foam mounted it onto a patterned paper. Then I laid each stamped image here and there, and the final touch was adding some Metallic Gold Confetti Mix.
