Pretty Pink Posh + Glue Dots Collaboration Hop Day 1

A very big crafty hello and welcome to our very special blog hop collaboration with Pretty Pink Posh & Glue Dots! Marge here and I’m so happy to share my card with you for our fun and creative collaboration blog hop by Pretty Pink Posh and Glue Dots.

I started my card by stamping Autumn Wreath on a piece of kraft card stock using a pale gray colored dye ink to do no-line coloring. I then colored the images using copic markers and polychromo pencils. I stamped a turkey from Happy Turkey stamp set on another piece of kraft card stock and did the same no-line coloring.  After I had done my coloring, I added white gel pen details, and then I cut the turkey using Happy Turkey coordinating dies.

For sentiment tag, I stamped ‘autumn greetings’ from Pumpkin Patch Critters on dark brown card stock using Versamark Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with Wow Gold Rich Pale Embossing Powder, then I diecut it using one of Mini Tag Dies. I rounded brown colored baker’s twine around the lower part of the panel, let the thread come out through a tiny hole of the tag, then made a bow. The turkey and sentiment tag were adhered on the panel using foam adhesive for dimensional look as shown in the pictures.

Next, I used Glue Dots Tape Runner to adhere the panel onto a card base. I then adhered  Metallic Gold Jewels and Ivory Jewels as a final embellishments using 3mm Glue Dots Micro Adhesive which is very useful in adhering small sized jewels and sequins. I also found that Glue Dots Dispenser is very useful to keep Glue Dots Adhesive Rolls from sticking to other materials so the rolls can be stored neat and clean. It also helps you cut the roll piece  easily.

Prizes: Each company has a prize pack to give away!

  • Glue Dots Prize Pack- An assortment of adhesives valued at $100!
  • Pretty Pink Posh Prize Pack- An assortment of goodies up to the value of $75!

September Product Release Blog Hop- Day 2

Check out Day 1 of the blog hop HERE

Hello, Gemma here today to share a card with the beautiful new Autumn Wreath from the September release. My idea for this card was to create a door with the wreath hanging on it.

I began by covering a card base with some white woodgrain paper, to give the look of a wooden door.

I stamped the autumn wreath, and chose some copics in traditional autumn shades to colour them in. I then used the coordinating die to cut the image out. The die is must-have as it cuts the centre of the wreath, allowing for lots of possibilities.

I wanted to use the greeting included in the Autumn Wreath set but wasn’t sure it would stamp well on the textured paper. Instead, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of vellum in Versafine Onyx Black ink, heat embossing it with clear embossing powder. I layered the sentiment behind the wreath, then added the wreath to the card with foam tape.

I thought it would be fun to add some Pumpkin Patch Critters to the doorstep of the card. I stamped and coloured them with copics, die cutting them with the coordinating dies. Then I added them to the card base with foam tape.

For some finishing touches, I added white gen pen details to the stamped images. I adhered an Espresso jewel for a door handle, then added some Marigold and Raspberry jewels to the wreath. I love the touch of sparkle and how these jewels work so well for Autumn cards.

PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. I’m giving away 4 $25 gift certificates to four random comments (2 winners each day) left before September 18, 2018 at 11:59 PM PDT. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!

September Product Release Blog Hop- Day 1

Check out Day 2 of the blog hop HERE

Hi, everyone! It’s Marge here for you  and I’m going to share my cards featuring the adorable Cuddly Cats stamps and coordinating dies from our September Release today.

To begin I stamped the Cuddly Cats images on 80lb Neenah White paper using Memento Black Ink. I used my copic markers to color the images and then I cut them all using the Cuddly Cats coordinating dies. I used my Copic Liner pen to draw knit sweaters for cats and mice as shown in the picture.

For my first card, I wanted to make cozy winter scene, so I trimmed an A2 size Bristol paper and ink blended it using Brushed CorduroyAntique Linen and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide with splatters of white acrylic ink to express snow.

In order to separate the space as brown and blue, I used post-it sticky notes to mask off a part of the panel. After the ink and splatters were dry, I stamped the main sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

Next, I created a fun scene by adding Cuddly Cats images using foam adhesives. A cat is just about to catch a mouse but he might slip and loose it cause he’s stepping on a ball of wool. However the mice won’t make it cause other two cats are already waiting for them ahead, lols !

I further stamped small sentiments like PURR or MEOW near the cats and finished my card by adding Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix.

Next, I decided to go with more clean and simple design for my second card, so here it is.

First I cut a stitched rectangle panel out of white card stock using Stitched Notes Dies and I stamped Simple Sayings: Kind on top it. I then adhered the Cuddly Cats images as shown in the picture. I made the cat peeking out of a box and a pile of knitting wool using foam tape.

I chose yellow-red plaid pattern paper for matting and deep red card stock for a card base. After I foam mounted the white panel onto the plaid matting paper and I adhered Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix as a final embellishment.

Pretty Pink Posh + Wow Embossing Collaboration Blog Hop

Good morning Pretty Pink Posh friends! Heather here this morning with a couple cute cards featuring a combination of Pretty Pink Posh products and WOW Embossing Powders and glitter!

For my cards today I used two different WOW gold embossing powders – Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter, and Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder – as well as a white embossing powder to watercolor my florals.

To begin, I created an embossed background for each card by swiping an embossing ink pad across a panel of black cardstock. This first card I used the Gold Embossing Glitter to create the background:

This second card features the Metallic Gold Embossing Powder – I love the effect of both of them! The glittery one definitely has more sparkle, but the other is a nice rich metallic gold as well!

Next, I created a floral cluster using Geranium Stamp Set and WOW Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. I stamped and heat embossed the flowers and leaves on the smooth side of Ranger Distress Watercolor Paper, then watercolored the images with liquid watercolors before die cutting them with the Coordinating Dies.

I arranged them over the gold embossed area with foam adhesive, then heat embossed a tiny sentiment from Camping Friends Stamp set using the same WOW Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder, and mounted that with foam adhesive over the flowers.

Final finishing touch was to add a few GORGEOUS Metallic Gold Jewels around the flowers. These are definitely rich and elegant cards with the gold and bright bold colors combinations!

Prizes: Each company has a prize pack to give away! WOW Embossing Powder- Any 6 powders from your choosing along with a WOW carry case to store your powders safely in.

Pretty Pink Posh Prize Pack- An assortment of goodies up to the value of $75!

The only thing you need to do for a chance to win is leave a comment on each of the design team members blogs! Winners will be chosen at random from comments left on all blogs on the blog hop by 6:00 AM PST on Sunday, July 29th. Winners will be announced on the Pretty Pink Posh and Wow Embossing blog.

Hop along: If you started from the beginning, this is your last stop on the hop. If you’re just getting started, grab a cup of coffee or tea and join us for 16 creative stops. The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello! This is Day 2 of a two day hop to celebrate the tenth 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Have you heard of “The Daily Marker’s 30 Day Coloring Challenge” hosted by Kathy Racoosin? Right now it’s in the middle of the challenge and it’s a great time to take a leap, jump in and get your feet wet!  Don’t feel like you are jumping into the middle of the challenge I hope you will think of it as a new beginning.

The premise of “The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge” is to color something everyday even if it’s for five minutes. However feel free to  jump in or out as time permits.

Any coloring medium is welcomed. Click here for DAY 1. TO UPLOAD YOUR COLORING  or here on Instagram or here on Facebook (FB is a closed group). Please remember to use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day  and tag @kathyrac . For kids & young adults #thedailymarker30daykids

Ready to get started on today’s card? Let go!

This Koala Friends from Pretty Pink Posh is so darn cute with the different size Koalas so I decided to create this fun upright card. Also, reached for the Birdie Friends set to add a branch, leaves, and sentiment to add to the scene.

For this card, I started out by die cutting a couple of Scallop Circles, one for the inside of the card and the other for the top of the card and shaker.

To color these Koala’s, I used the following copic colors: CO, C1, C3, C5, R11 for the belly and ears. For the branch, E37, E33, E31 and for the sentiments, I used the Zig Clean Color Brush.

Next, I die cut a large basic circle almost the same size of the Scallop Circles to create the background and use for closing the shaker from behind.  Added some clouds using Salty Ocean distress ink and began to piece together the shaker by adding several sequins using the Berry Bright Mix and glued down some Silver Mini Star Confetti on top.

From there, I created the circle card base by placing the same circle onto a folded card stock and ran it through the die cutting machine leaving a little portion of the circle die not hitting the top of the card stock.  This way it leaves a fold on top.

Once the card base was done, I scored the front cover halfway and glued the bottom half only to add the circle shaker on top.

To decorate the inside of the card, I used patterned paper for the center along with the second Scallop Circles. From there, I added a sentiment from the Birdie Friends set where I colored using my zig clean color brush. Also, added some foam mount under the sentiment to pop it up which helps to hold the card upright so one can place anywhere.

From there, I created another white circle card base, but used a larger circle die since I was trying to create a double card put together. Plus, I wanted to give this upright card a white border around it and add an extra area to write a message.

When it lays flat, it shows the white border around the card, but when upright, only shows the top original card.

GIVEAWAY: leave a comment on this post and one person will win all five of our brand new stamp sets!

Congratulations to Katie Baird!

Hello, Gemma here today to share a card featuring some fabulous June release products.

The new Geraniums stamp set has a lovely selection of different images, perfect for building floral clusters and scenes. I especially love the textured look of the leaves. For my card today, I coloured some images with copic markers, then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

Next, I die cut the new Hello Shaker die from gold glitter paper. I adhered this square die cut at an angle on my card base.

I placed the geranium leaves around the frame, adhering with liquid glue. I then used foam squares to add the flowers over the top. I love the look of gold and pink together. To finish my card, I added some of my favourite Pearl White jewels.

BONUS: we’re giving away a free not-yet-released die in each order over $60 this month, while supplies last!

June Product Release Blog Hop- Day 1

Hi, there! It’s Marge today and I’m sharing a shaker card featuring some of our new June 2018 Release for the blog hop.

To begin my card, I stamped the Koala Friends Stamp Set on a copic friendly paper and colored them using copic makers, then I cut them all using Koala Friends Coordinating Dies.

Copic Markers Used:

Koalas : E29-E18-E15-E13-E11-E01

Tree branch : E49-E47-E44-E43-E42

Leaves : BG09-G29-G07-YG03-YG01

I prepared two pieces of A2 sized Bristol Paper, and ink blended them using Distress Oxide Inks: Antique LinenTattered RoseCracked PistachioBundled Sage, and Evergreen Bough.  I added splatters of water and wiped out excess water using dry tissue. These two pieces will be used for front and background panel for shaker.

To make a shaker window, I diecut one of the inked panel using Mini Storybook 1 Dies, and simply cut out the inside bars to make a large rectangle window.  I found that the cut out square from Mini Storybook 1 Dies perfectly matches with the Hello Shaker Die in size. (You could just use Hello Shaker Die only to make a window.)  I adhered a piece of acetate film behind the window panel. I cut Hello Shaker DIe out of 110 Neenah White paper three times  then glued them top on top to make a dimensional frame. Then I put the frame onto rectangle window I had created previously.

I heat embossed a sentiment from Everyday Greetings on black cardstock in white, then I cut it using Stitched Pieces Die. I rounded natural twine 3-4 times beneath the window, fixed it with adhesive, and then foam mounted the sentiment label onto it. Next I turned the panel upside down to fill the shaker.

I adhered foam tapes around the window at the back side of the panel, then I filled the shaker with lots of sequins and seed beads including AquamarineBlushCotton Candy, and Pewter which are part of brand new seed beads from Pretty Pink Posh. In addition, I put 4mm Lime Sorbet6mm Lime Sorbet6mm Peridot Mist4mm Peacock Feathers6mm Peacock Feathers4mm Champagne6mm Champagne4mm Lemon Meringue6mm Lemon Meringue3mm Sparkling Clear, and Iridescent Mini Circle Confetti.

Look at the beautiful mixture of sequins and seed beads just before I covered the shaker. I really love how they look together. Above all, I would strongly recommend to mix Pewter seed beads to your shaker since the neutral gray color of them balances the colors in the shaker beautifully. Finally, I covered the shaker with another inked panel then I adhered the shaker onto white card base.

I then adhered Koala images around the shaker and label as shown in the picture. As a final embellishment, I added Buttercream Jewels and Spring Green Jewels.

BONUS: we’re giving away a free not-yet-released die in each order over $60 this month, while supplies last!

PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. I’m giving away 4 $25 gift certificates to four random comments (2 winners each day) left before June 19, 2018 at 11:59 PM PDT. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!
