April Product Release Blog Hop- Day 2

Check out Day 1 of the blog hop HERE

Hello, Pretty Pink Posh’ fans! This is Yana Smakula. In this video, I’m sharing a very easy method to create money holder greeting cards. You won’t need any specialty dies or supplies for this type of card and you should be able to create a card design like this using most of your Pretty Pink posh stamps and coordinating dies.

I started by stamping some images in black Copic marker friendly ink onto white paper. The size of the images you pick is the only thing that matters as you’ll want to use something that’s big enough to hide a folded bill behind it. So a small critter stamp, for example, is not going to work. But a cute giraffe, like the one I’m using here and also a gorgeous floral arrangement will. Both of these images are from Pretty Pink Posh and come from the Animal Signs and Mother’s Day stamp sets respectively.

Watch my video tutorial below to learn how I made this card.

Watch the video above  I  Watch the video in HD on YouTube

Next, I quickly colored these using Copic markers. Nothing fancy, just some quick strokes of color to bring these images to life. I used YG03, YG17, RV34, RV11, RV10, Y11, Y35, Y17, BV11, BV00, and BV000 markers. To color the giraffe I used E37, E33, E31, R0, and E51.

I wanted to combine these two images and have my critter holding a floral bouquet and not the frame. I did some fussy cutting to eliminate the image parts I didn’t need and using foam adhesive squares I foam mounted the flowers onto my critter, added front legs and the tail.  Super cute! and it wasn’t hard to do at all.

Next, I’ve done some partial die cutting using a coordinating die. To make the partial cut I only covered the part of the die that I wanted to cut into the paper and left the other part of the die free. This allowed me to do partial die cutting and only die cut the top part of my giraffe.

I also wanted to add some dry embossing to the background. I used a new Wide Stripes stencil and dry embossed on the background. I love the result! It looks very clear and simple, yet there’s pretty linear texture in the background!

I trimmed this panel down to 4” x 5 1/4”, I also made an A2 card base using hot pink cardstock. I folded the money bill and inserted it into the partially die cut panel. Next, I added foam adhesive around it making sure not to touch it. I wanted to block the bottom part of the panel so that I didn’t have stuff falling down into the card and making it impossible to get it out.

I also used my anti-static powder tool to eliminate any of the residual stickiness on the foam tape so that nothing would stick to it. Once done, I adhered the panel onto a card base, foam mounted the critter, added the bill and dressed up this card using pink stamped stars and Pearl white jewels.

I also made one more card to share, this one is for Graduation and it uses the same concept and almost same supplies.

I used a different stencil for the background, Graduation, and blended some pastels over it to give it some color and help highlight the embossed areas.

Next, I stamped, colored and cut out an adorable elephant from the Animal Signs stamp set. I used W5, W3, W1 and R20 markers. I also stamped a graduation cap and a scroll from the Congrats Grad stamp set and colored those images using Copic markers as well. I used RV34, RV11 and RV10 colors along with C9, C7, and C5 markers.

I foam mounted this darling baby elephant onto the background matching him with the partial cut already made. Next, I added his graduation cap and a scroll using foam adhesive. I foam mounted the entire panel onto a light pink card base and also embellished it with a few stamped & die cut stars and pretty white jewels.

While the slits in these cards are relatively small you should be able to tuck any folded currency bill inside or tuck a little handwritten note if you like.

April Product Release Blog Hop- Day 1

Check out Day 2 of the blog hop HERE

Hi, everyone! Marge here sharing a graduation card with the cute critters featuring the brand new April Release from Pretty Pink Posh.

I started by stamping Congrats Grad Stamp set and Animal Signs Stamp set on Copic friendly paper using Memento Black Ink, then I colored the images using my Copic markers. Then I cut them all using Congrats Grad Coordinating Dies and Animal Signs Coordinating Dies, added white details using a gel pen, and set them aside.

To make a background, I ink blended a piece of Bristol paper with Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade, and Crushed Olive. Then, I placed the brand new Graduation Stencil onto my panel and applied moonstone glimmer paste through the stencil on the top part of the panel and let them dry.

I diecut Congrats Script Die out of white card stock twice, colored the top surface with Copic Markers and glued them together using Multi Medium Matte.

I used colors of E49-E47-E44 for script die-cuts. Before assembling a card, I chose cheerful sentiments to be inserted on the blackboard from Animal Signs Stamp set, School Friends Stamp set, and Bear Hug Stamp set and then I heat embossed them in white on each blackboard the critters are holding in their hands.

Now it’s time to assemble all the pieces together into a card! I adhered the background panel onto a card base, then I glued Congrats Script die cut on the top, and then I added cute critters with hats using Glue Dots and Foam Adhesives,  I also put eyeglasses from School Friends stamp set on the koala, which made the whole scene look so fun! As a final embellishment, I adhered Shamrock Jewels and Lemon Drop Jewels around the scene and finished off my card.

Main colors of Copic Markers I used are warm gray for the koala, cool gray for elephant, neutral gray for a black hat, BV08-V09-V06-V04 for purple hats, G29-G28 for blackboards, Y38-Y35 for yellow points, and R29-R22-R14 for red points.

PRIZES: be sure to leave comments on each stop. I’m giving away 4 $25 gift certificates to four random comments (2 winners each day) left before May 8, 2019 at 11:59 PM PST. I’ll be announcing the winners next week, so be sure to return and see if you are one of the winners!

Altenew 5th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway

Hello and welcome! This is Caly and today, Pretty Pink Posh is helping Altenew celebrate their 5th Anniversary! It’s so wonderful to help other companies in the crafting community celebrate their success. There are lots of fun prizes, so be sure to hop along!

I’ve combined some Altenew 3D paper-layering dies with a Pretty Pink Posh sentiment.  The Garden Picks 3D dies and Wild Rose 3D dies are used on today’s card to create a floral spray with flowers in multiple sizes and colors.

3D dies can be difficult to work with when there are lots of layers – so it’s really important to stay organized!  I die-cut each of the pieces in the colors of cardstocks that I wanted to layer and carefully glued them together.

Once all the pieces were adhered together, I decided I would have to create a slimline card to use all the images.  The card is 4.25” x 8.5” and fits into a #10 sized envelope. I trimmed a card front to 4” x *8.25” and ink-blended it with some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink before laying out the pieces to adhere to this layer.

Some of the flowers are adhered directly to the card front, while others are adhered with foam adhesive for some dimension.

After arranging and adhering my flowers, I used a sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Thoughtful Greetings stamp set to stamp in the upper right hand corner with black ink.  The card panel is then adhered to a card base and adorned with some Tonic Studios White Blizzard Glitter Drops.

Prizes:

Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 5 lucky winners and one Altenew Academy class to 10 lucky winners. There are also 14 awesome companies/crafty friends who are celebrating with us, and they are offering the following prizes:

Be sure to leave comments by 4/12/2019 for a chance to win! 33 winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on any of the blogs listed below and will be announced on the Altenew Blog on 4/20/2019.

This post is part of the Altenew 5th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 1! If you’ve been hopping along with us, you would have arrived here from Therese Calvird’s blog and your next stop is Nicole Picadura! You can find the full blog hop list or start at the beginning from the Altenew Card Blog.

March Product Release Blog Hop- Day 2

Check out Day 1 of the blog hop HERE

Hello friends! It is Dana here today for Day 2 of our blog hop featuring the new release. This release is amazing…full of gorgeous stamps, dies, and of course, embellishments!

Today, I am using the Spring Wreath Stamp Set along with the Spring Wreath Coordinating Die. I started my card by stamping my wreath image with a watercolor friendly ink. I then used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to watercolor all of my spring flowers. Once this was dry, I used the coordinating die to die cut my wreath.

Next, I began working on my card panel. I used a piece of white cardstock for my card front. I die cut the scallop border with the Scallop Borders Die Set.  I then attached this to a piece of plaid patterned paper.

To finish my card, I stamped my sentiment (also included in the Spring Wreath set) in the center of my white cardstock. Lastly, I attached my wreath with foam adhesive to my card front.

5th Birthday Celebration Blog Hop- Day 3

If you missed Day 1 CLICK HERE //  If you missed Day 2 CLICK HERE

Hi friends, Angelica here and today I’m sharing a fun shaker card using new products from the Pretty Pink Posh January release. I am so in love with the new Cupcake Critters stamp set, and the images pair perfectly with the new Celebrate Shaker die.

My first step was coloring the cupcake critter. I stamped the image onto white card stock with Copic-friendly ink. I then colored the image with Copic Markers. I started with the bunny:  W5, W3, W1, W00, R00. For the frosting, I used V00, V01, V12, V15. I colored the frosting with V00, did a little shading with V01, then did little dots of colors to finish the rest of shading, and to add texture. For the wrapper, I used Y21, Y23, Y26, Colorless Blender, and V91 for the drop-shade under the frosting. Lastly, the cherry I colored with R24, R27, R29, and R59. I used each marker to draw a line, leaving white space around the stem.

My next step was inking the card front. I used Scattered Straw and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks to blend onto Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock. I started at the top with the Scattered Straw, blending ink down towards the middle of the card front. I blended the same with the Wilted Violet, blending the ink up towards the middle. I didn’t want the inks touching too much. When I was finished, I tapped shimmer water all over the paper. I let the water sit for about 15 seconds, then dabbed the water up with a paper towel. This left shimmery drops all over paper.

To make the shaker element, I ran the card front through my die-cut machine with the Celebrate Shaker die. I then closed the window from the backside with a piece of acetate and 1/8 inch Scor Tape. I die-cut Celebrate again out of white card stock that I had added Stick It Adhesive to on the backside. This made it really easy to attach the die cut to the front of the shaker window. I flipped the card front around to the backside and added Darice Double-sided Adhesive Strips to all four sides of the window. I filled the window with Sugar Plum Jewels and Sugar Plum Confetti, then closed the window with another piece of acetate. I added foam tape to the rest of the back and attached the card front to an A2 size card base. I used thin adhesive squares to add the Cupcake Critter, then used W3 and W1 Copic markers to draw a quick shadow under the cupcake. My final touch was adding a few Sugar Plum Jewels using Ranger Multi Media Matte.

5th Birthday Celebration Blog Hop- Day 2

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh 5th birthday celebration! If you missed Day 1, click here.

Gemma here and today I’m sharing a card using the new Pinata Party stamp set. I absolutely love this set!! The images are so much fun and the sentiments are perfect!

I began by working on the background. I stamped the solid pennant image with dye inks, choosing colours to match the new Party Jewels Mix. I stamped two per colour, die cut them out with the Pinata Party coordinating die, then used foam tape to create vertical borders on both edges of my card base.

I measured the gap in between the borders and cut a piece of white card to fit the gap. I used one of the Scallop Borders dies to add a decorative edge to each side. I then stamped a greeting from the Pinata Party stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Next, I stamped and copic coloured the unicorn pinata image and die cut it with the coordinating die. I used a clear glitter pen all over it for lots of sparkle.

I cut a piece of gold thread to add to the back of the pinata, then used foam tape to add the unicorn to the white card panel. I tucked the end of the gold thread behind the panel, then added it to the card base with lots of foam tape.

Using the same ink colours as I used for the pennant images, I stamped some confetti images around the unicorn. I then finished with some jewels from the new Party Jewels Mix, adding them around the unicorn and also to the center of the pennants.

No party would be complete without guests, gifts and a party favor, right? During the celebration, save 10% off your order using the coupon code provided below.

For the celebration, I brought along some very special guests to celebrate with us. Be sure to leave them lots of comments on their blogs and check out their amazing projects!

5th Birthday Celebration Blog Hop- Day 1

Hi everyone, it’s Marge here and I’m so happy to share my card featuring the brand new January Release with you. I made a window scene card using Decorative Tag 2 Dies from the New Release.

To begin, I die cut Decorative Tag 2 Dies out of Neenah White and red card stock. Next, I stamped Bold Blooms stamp set on white paper using Distress Ink Antique Linen, colored the images using copic markers and diecut them all using Bold Blooms Coordinating Dies.

I used Stitched Borders 1 Dies to make a roof and a wall for my tag. Then I scored down vertically along wavy borders on each die cut to give patterns to the walls.

I cut another window using Mini Storybook 1 Dies out of pastel pink pattern paper which will be main background for my tag and then I assembled those pieces using foam adhesives. Next, I added floral images around the Decorative Tag 2 using Micro Glue Dots. Sentiment was chosen from Floral Hearts stamp set and was heat embossed in white on red card stock. Now, what would expect to see inside the door?

When you open this window, you can see a bunny holding a sweet cupcake. I stamped the image from the Cupcake Critters stamp set and did no-line coloring and then cut it using the Cupcake Critters coordinating dies.

Lastly, here are copic marker numbers I used. Leaves (G29-G28-G07-YG03 ), Purple (BV08-V17-V15-V12), Red (R59-R46-R43-R20), Orange (YR07-YR04-Y38), Yellow (Y38-Y17-Y15), Bunny (E13-E11-E00-E000), Cupcake (E18-E15-E13, BG18-BG15-BG13, R46-R43-R20)
