Tutorial: 12 Tags of Christmas (with a Feminine Twist)

Hello everyone, Joni here sharing a tag project in collaboration with Pretty Pink Posh and Ellen Hutson using foil. Foil is a trendy product these days and you can use it in a lot of different ways. I’ll show you a way to use it that’s easy, but you still get beautiful results.

Pretty Pink Posh: 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist

First, I distressed the white cardstock with Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad in Tattered Rose. Then die-cut it with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 dies.

Next, I distressed another white cardstock and distressed it with Tim Holtz Distress ink pad in Evergreen Bough. Then die-cut it with the small oval scallop die from theĀ Decorative Tag 1.

Next, I die-cut more white small oval scallop (x3), I only used the oval frame stacked with glue, below the distressed small oval scallop die-cut.

Next, I put a hole on top of the tag using the hole reinforce from Decorative Tag 1. Then, I added some dot background using Copic markers in E02 and R000.

To add foil on the deer, I splatter the MINC Reactive Mist on a cardstock and let it dry.

Next, I put over the Rose Gold Foil on top of the splattered cardstock then run it to the MINC machine.

Once you removed the foil, it gives you a foiled splattered effect. Then I die-cut the Leaping Deer on the splattered foil.

Then, I adhered the deer with foam tape. The Believe die-cut was adhered with glue on top of the deer.

Finally, I added some sequins in Sparkling Clear and Lemon Meringue sequins.

We hope you were inspired by today’s feminine tag.

Peace Joy Love

IĀ  feel like it’s been ages since I wrote a post, just to write. Not for a blog hop or to announce winners, but a post just to update, chat and connect with you, my amazing readers and customers. I plan on doing a just because post this week– any specific topics you want me to blog about?

Today I have a card to share that I made using the new Cozy Christmas set from Ellen Hutson. These houses and trees are darling to create little scenes, or you can use them in “windows” like I did on my card. It was super easy to do with the Stitched Duo 1 and Stitched Duo 2, two of my die sets. Pretty Pink Posh I Peace Joy Love

If you’re new to my blog, you’ll notice quickly that I love polka dots. A lot. They are perfect for backgrounds and to fill in any blank space you might have. For my polka dots on this particular card, I used the new Bokeh Dots set, which has dots in all sorts of sizes!

Pretty Pink Posh I Peace Joy Love

excitingnewsSHOPI know many of you have been waiting for my sequin restock and I am SO excited to say that ALL of my sequins are now restocked. Yes, all of the 6mm and 4mm sizes, along with the mixes. I still need to add in more inventory, but as of right now, everything is in stock and available for purchase. Also, I’m working on orders for many of my retailers, so they’ll be getting stocked up on their sequins as well. Thank you all for your patience!

Well, that’s a wrap for this post. I’ll be back tomorrow with the winners of the Product Release Blog Hop.

Product Release Blog Hop

newproduct_bloghop3

Hello, sweet friends!

It’s time for the Product Release Blog Hop featuring the brand new dies I released on October 1st. This is my third die release and I must say, it’s SO fun to hear your reactions to the dies I design! Oh boy, today you all are in for a real treat. The design team and special guests have created a whole array of samples using the new dies (along with some previously released dies and sequins) and I cannot wait for you to see the AMAZING projects they made!

Before we get to their projects, I wanted to share a project that I made using the Stitched Tags die set. Pretty Pink Posh

I love using tags on my cards (as you’ve probably noticed in recent posts), but I wanted to stretch myself and use them in a new way. After some playing, I decided a colorful tag background was the way to go. Add in some polka dots (because everything is better with dots), glitter, sequins and voila!

Pretty Pink Posh

It’s been a little while since I did a start to finish card video, but since many have been asking, I thought it was time to do another one. I tried something new in the video…. I’m curious to hear what you all think of it!

Ready to hop on over and see LOTS more fabulous inspiration? Each of these gals are extremely talented and I truly am honored they took the time to make something with my dies- their projects and cards are going to blow you away.

Essentials by Ellen Blog Hop

Hello and Happy World Card Making Day!

Today I’m honored to be a special guest for the Essentials by Ellen Blog Hop! Weā€™re so excited to unveil a brand new line of high quality Clear Stamp Sets and Designer Dies, designed by Julie Ebersole exclusively for Ellen Hutson LLC.

This collection reflects an eclectic mix of images, sentiments and art styles that are sure to appeal to a wide range of tastes!Ā  Just in time for holiday crafting, the entire release is available now at Ellen Hutson LLC.

Ready to see what I created? Let’s go…

Pretty Pink Posh

My first card features the adorable gingerbread man from Tis the Season. I just love this little guy! I added the sprig from Christmas Scribbles to the top of the tags, which made it feel more festive and also brought in the green from the card base.

The little tags are from the brand new Stitched Tags die set I released (and will be at Ellen Hutson soon). I created a card, but you could easily just stamp one of the gingerbread men on a tag and make it a gift tag- easy peasy!

Pretty Pink Posh

My next card showcases the three new brushstroke word dies- peace, love and joy. These brushstroke dies are so neat and versatile- they can work for cards and tags all year round! I paired these dies up with the Bokeh Dots set, which has all sorts of circular images and well, dots. *wink*

Pretty Pink Posh

It’s hard to tell from this photo, but I actually die cut these words multiple times and adhered them together- it’s gives them an almost chipboard kind of look. (You’ll see this better in the video below) It had been a while since I broke out my metallic silver ink pad, but I love the little hints of sparkle you get from the circle shapes, along with the sequins.

Pretty Pink Posh

My last card shows off the Brushstroke Joy die, along with the Christmas Scribbles set. I started off with the Stitched Duo 1 die as my focal point and created this little scene from there. You could easily switch out the turquoise for pink, purple, red or orange to change up the feel of the card. Imagine a trio of different colors in this design!

Pretty Pink PoshDid you happen to notice the itty bitty dots on the light blue cardstock? That stamp is from Bokeh Dots (which I go a little more in depth about in my video). You know how sometimes you need a little filler stamp for the blank areas on a card? This tiny dot is so perfect for that!

Once I finished my card, I realized it was a little flat, so I added my handy dandy sequins to dress things up. I used the 6mm Espresso, 6mm Sparkling Clear and 4mm Sparkling Clear. It’s such an easy step, but it really is the perfect finishing touch to so many projects!

Pretty Pink Posh

It wouldn’t be a real blog hop without some sort of prize and the gals at Ellen Hutson have graciously allowed me to give the Tis the Season set away. All you have to do is leave a comment and one lucky winner will win this fun set!

eh_giveaway

Okay, now it’s time to to move on to the next stop and more chances at some prizes!

Head over to the CLASSroom, where there is a GIANT prize package being given awayā€”be sure to leave a comment there by October 8th; winners will be announced October 9th!

Still can’t get enough? I filmed a video showcasing all of the new dies and stamp sets more in depth, along with some peeks at more cards I created with these products.

Sneak Peek, Update & More!

Hello, sweet friends!

I had hoped to have this post go live yesterday, but this week has been rough on me health wise. On the outside, for those who don’t know me, life may look like rainbows and butterflies for me, but that’s far from the truth. Many of you know that I have been dealing with ongoing health issues since my car accident 21 months ago and recently I’ve hit another rough patch.(The latest health update is HERE) It’s been frustrating, to say the least. I’m going to try eliminating foods again and we’ll see if that helps. Thank you to those who have emailed and sent well wishes in the form of cards and gift cards in the mail or even Paypal donations. It truly means a lot to me.

Okay, enough of those things…. let’s get to today’s card and a sneak peek! This card is one many of you will recognize- I featured it in my April 2014 Craft Favorites video.

Pretty Pink Posh I Spring Birds

Lately I have been on this kick of creating “mini scenes” on my cards and these little “windows” are perfect for doing just that. You could do it comic book style and have each square be individual pictures, or you can have the scene go landscape style. Both ways are SUPER cute and you can be sure I’m making lots more cards in this style.

For those who have purchased the 4mm sequins, I hope that you’ve been enjoying them as much as I have been! I LOVE this smaller size and it works well with the 6mm sequins. If you’ve been wanting to order some and you shop at Ellen Hutson, I’m happy to announce that ALL of them are now available there!

Pretty Pink Posh I Spring Birds

On my Instagram and Facebook page yesterday, I posted a sneak peek of a card I just made with some new products coming in June. Can you spot anything new from this picture? As we get closer to June, I’ll post more sneak peeks and let you in on something that’s happening on June 5th!

sneakpeek11

I wanted to formally announce the winner of the $25 gift certificate giveaway I hosted last week. The winner was Melissa K. Dehne! I have emailed you Melissa…be sure to check your inbox!

That’s going to do it for this post. Again, thank you to all of you who have sent well wishes and prayers. I am very, very grateful.

April Craft Haul

Hello and Happy Saturday!

Today I have my April Craft Haul (Can you believe it? I didn’t wait until the last minute!). This month I decided to go a little outside my comfort zone and got a few products that I wouldn’t typically get. Any guesses what they might be?

Before you watch the video, I want to remind you that in ONE WEEK the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop starts. Starting on Monday, several different companies will be sharing inspiration featuring sequin shakers leading up to the big day. Are you ready? There’s going to be SO much inspiration and fun! I’m so excited and I hope you all are too!

Okay, now you all can go ahead and watch the haul video….

What craft purchases did you make this month? I want to hear….it might inspire me to purchase something next month!

Have a great weekend. Sending crafty hugs from Seattle!

Happy, Happy! Joy, Joy!

Hi there, sweet friends!

Today I wanted to share some exciting news….now I mentioned this info on the Pretty Pink Posh Facebook page and my Instagram, but I haven’t officially shared it here on the blog yet.

products1I’m SO proud and thrilled to say that Pretty Pink Posh is now being carried at Simon Says Stamp, Ellen Hutson, and a couple of brick and mortar stores! As of now, there’s a store in Fairfield, CA called Mainely Stampin’ that carries my products, along with a store in St. Petersburg, FL called Whim So Doodle that also has my products. My current goal: to work on getting a store in Seattle and New York to carry my line- then I can have a store in every corner of the States! *wink*

For those who don’t have local stores, Simon Says Stamp and Ellen Hutson are FABULOUS places to purchase from. Now only do they carry my products, they also have thousands of other ones as well! With crafting being such a visual hobby, I know it’s nice to see things laid out. Here are exactly the PPP products each of these online stores carries:

Some of you may have seen this picture that I posted last night. I finally got around to making my sequin stash PRETTY and let me tell you, seeing all of them organized makes me want to play with them even more! I’ll do a post/ video on my storage in the near future- stay tuned!sneakpeek10

In closing, I want to note that I’m making my wholesale accounts to a limited amount at this time, so if you have a store you’d like to see them in, be sure to let the store owner know about Pretty Pink Posh soon!

P.S. Only 9 more days until the Sequin Shaker Blog Hop! If you haven’t seen my new video tutorial on a sequin shaker, CLICK HERE.

On the Wish List- August Edition

wishlist_augustDoes anyone else feel like companies are upping up their game and releasing even more amazing products? Just when I feel like I’m at a comfortable place and don’t need or want anything else in my craft studio, a new release happens and I’m awe struck and looking for a money tree to pop up somewhere on our property.

This month I have a little mixture of stamp sets, inks and products and I have to confess, some of them are on their way to me right this moment. In fact, they should be here today! See? I couldn’t just keep these items in my cart, I had to checkout! Goodness gracious….I think I need a blindfold….or more self control.

Feel free to leave multiple questions here, ask me on any of my social media sites, or you can ask anonymously on this link: http://ask.fm/prettypinkposh. I’ll pull some of the most popular and frequently asked questions and bring them together for this post. Bombard me with questions, I’m READY! :)
ASKThank you for spending some time with me today, sweet friends. I truly adore hearing from you all and I shall be back again soon!
